Avantages

Being manager of real estate agency Google Voice allows me to have a second phone number instead of using my own personal phone number.
This protects my personal phone number from scams and cold calls by screening the calls first before answering them.
It is also great to receive text messages from sms marketing.

Inconvénients

Therebare times when i might miss calls due to glitches but that happens really once in while so big thumbs up.

Avantages

Transferring existing numbers was a breeze, we had zero issues setting up new lines, linking mobile phones to numbers and with a Google integrated system, our IT Management was easy as possible.

Inconvénients

Be aware - CANADIAN users - Google Voice doesn't support SMS or text based features for Canadian phone numbers.

This means no access to authentication systems required for mobile and remote work.

That made the product a none starter for us, and after moving our whole system over, we had to move it right back to a competing service that offered SMS features.

Avantages

I do like the idea that calls are automatically transcribed and sent to my Gmail, and the transcriptions seem good

Inconvénients

The handset compatibility is not good. Calls get lost and audio is poor quality. Emails sometimes look like spam because of forwarding

This product is amazingly useful for the differently abled community. My father has been diagnosed with ALS for over a year, and Google Voice and similar programs are integral to his day to day functioning, as finger mobility has decreased. This program helps countless differently abled men and women to still perform their day to day tasks and has been necessary for my father to continue working.

Inconvénients

The biggest annoyance is that the texting feature is limited to the USA, which I understand due to the difficulties of incorporating it globally from both a financial and practicality standpoint. There are only a few instances where it would be nice to text folks from other countries, though, so thankfully it is not a huge issue.

Works well with IOS my work computer. Transcription was typically good for calls. Offers free numbers, calls are free in the US, you can call internationally for an extra fee. Easy to sign up and set up your account.

Inconvénients

Collaboration is limited, it can be difficult to manage contacts, be careful with months of none use as your number will be disconnected.

I enjoy the aspect where I can receive calls on various devices. For someone who works occasionally remotely from the outside, it is crucial to use this product to separate my private life.

Call recordings are not available. As I use call recordings to ensure that proper services are calling purposes it is crucial to have a recording feature which Google Voice does not have. Due to this reason, I constantly have to resort to utilizing a third party feature for recording.

When our team was in a WeWork for several years, we had limited office space and many employees worked remotely - even in different countries. For an organization whose employees were mostly not in our physical office, we needed an office phone number that wasn't a landline in an office that someone might not be here to pick up. Google voice helped us get that and also allowed us to have more than 1 person manage the line.

Google voice is still not that common so managing it and figuring out how to use it effectively across multiple devices was still difficult.

I really like that I can call clients with a phone number different than my work extension as I am not always calling from work.

I do not like that I have to pay for it, but it is worth the money.

I can give out my Google voice number instead of my actual number, especially when dealing with strangers or where I feel like it's not too secure to use my number.

It's a pretty cheap service to run. I have it setup on my Google workspace so it's also pretty easy to manage too. I primarily use it just to have a separate business number away from my personal one. I've tested the call quality and its pretty decent but nothing special (I'm located in the UK).

I did notice there were delays when I'm notified about calls or if I needed a code for an account to go through, it could take 10 minutes to come through.

I like that it blends right in with my phone app and that you can discretely use it as you please!

Well it's easy to use this because you just sign up using your own phone number, then it gives you another number. I hated giving out my personal number for my business to strangers so this makes me feel better.

I haven't used it that long to see any cons. But it would be nice to put this on my daughters phones without having another number to provide just for them to call me.
