I've been using for many years. This so perfect and making my computer, laptop, and devices I use at home or at the office all protected. This must be used by everyone. I used it to clean my flash-drives as well. Amazing and robust security which is needed nowadays.

About seven years ago, AVG Internet Security was recommended to me by a computer technician, and I was happy to know that I could browse the internet safely.

When I downloaded some files, it did help to identify which were not secure or contained malware, so I can say AVG is quick to detect viruses.

Their promotional pop-ups are getting a bit annoying sometimes, but I must say that I appreciate the creativity of their ads. They know how to attract you to pay attention to their offers.

I uninstalled it because, after a while, it slowed down my PC.

Usually we use Clamav antivirus but only 50% of viruses or spam are caught.
We tried to install AVG business on a Windows 2012 server and the results increased to 85-90% spam and viruses were detected and quarantined.
but for some pishing still get away.
Our advice is if there is a link in the email overwritten with a local link (the link is not active) and there is previous info on the initial line.

The IT Department in the company I work for signed to AVG and since then I've been using it in my equipment. The overall experience is seamless. I have only used the free version of the AVG which is usually found online. I found that it provides very basic protection such as protection of your computer, emails and your online activities. You also have the option to scan your computer for any threats which is needed from time to time. If a threat is found, the software will place it in "quarantine" so it can't do any damage to your computer.

I found that with the basic protection, we don't have the luxury of being protected against hackers and your private data is also not protected. When a full scan is done, the computer seems to slow down a lot so it's usually best to leave and let the software do it thing.

The biggest benefit to AVG is that it doesn't take up a lot of resources when it is installed on my computer. Other programs slowed my computer right down to the point that it was unbearable. AVG uses minimal system memory when it's passively protecting my computer.

The first time I installed it, it took a while for Outlook to integrate the plugin (Outlook loading window was stuck for about 5 minutes)
