Avantages

Working with eMaint as a Preventative Maintenance Supervisor

Avantages

It is great to finally have one maintenance management software to manage Reactive/Emergency Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Machine Shop Requests, and Inventory Management all in one.

Inconvénients

The one thing I do not like about this system is the mobile app for my technicians. There are too few search options and the scrolling through work orders can be very tiresome. If there was a possibility to have more than one column, there would not be so much scrolling. It is an annoyance that all of my techs complain about. Most of my 14 techs end up printing out their work orders, throwing away all of the unnecessary pages of rows that do not concern them. We were hoping to get away from printing so much paper with this new system. As few as 3 columns, would allow my techs to view the entire work order in one view with minimal scrolling.

Just starting

Good, glad we made the transition from our old infor system.

Avantages

The question should be, "What DO you like"... the easy access to reporting, the quick online support has yet to disappoint and getting out cmms mobile. Gone are the days of notebooks and trying to remember what you did.

Inconvénients

The communication between fluke mobile and eMaint has been less than smooth. Enough that I'm concerned with the fluke online connectivity options we're currently looking into.

Best CMMS Software Solutions!

eMaint CMMS is very clean and intuitive Software and it's a great choice for companies who need to improve work quality of their maintenance teams. It also performs very well on mobile so we can easily access the software from anywhere, at any time from the mobile device which saves my lots of time and effort.

Avantages

eMaint is very easy to use and provides excellent support. It has a wide range pre-built features that helps maintenance teams to keep track of their work, maintenance schedules, asset management, inventory management and much more.

Inconvénients

It offers many tool integration but I feel that they can improve tool integration feature which allows you to integrate any tool with this software.

HONESTY

Avantages

The work orders print out and tell the technicians exactly what they should be doing that day. Keeps them on a balanced schedule.

Inconvénients

Nothing was set up in the first place on what we needed the system to do for us. There are a lot of flaws, nothing works like it's supposed to, we are constantly having to contact support to fix things.

My Overview

I have had a good experience overall. Some are more helpful than I could have ever asked for and I have had a few over the 9 years not so helpful but I believe they are no longer with the company.

Avantages

I like the trackability of asset work orders. We are still growing and adding more assets and will eventually add barcoding etc.

Inconvénients

I don't like that when I need help, I can't always get the same representative.

Work order maintenance

Avantages

Easy to use and the support and training you receive is wonderful. We will be exploring other functions in the Emaint system in the near future

Calspan eMaint Review

Over its a very good system. Some flaws that need to be corrected in the higher level portions.

Avantages

Layout is easy to navigate for main features. PM's are relatively simple to setup and use.

Inconvénients

Some items are very difficult to find. Correcting problems is also a problem.

EMaint the great

eMaint has been able to solve the issues of record history. Been able to go back to old work orders that had been created and read the field notes of what work has been done and the issues that were faced at the time. It further gave clarity in being able to reevaluate current preventative maintenance practices to insure more efficient practices are implemented.

Avantages

The most impactful features of eMaint is the ability to create reports to show the data inputted for the different assets. eMaint combines simplicity and complexity into one user friendly style. The additional features made it easy to combine our paper documents into eMaint for excellent record keeping.

Inconvénients

The inability to be granted access as a additional super user to the editing features. It has made it difficult in the way of having to be granted each time to get access to the necessary features of editing of reports and work orders.

eMaint out of the box

We are very excited to roll out a CMMS that is more user friendly than most accounting based systems that lack the features and functionality for capture Maintenance KPI's.

Avantages

eMaint is highly configurable to your Maintenance process workflow.
The relationship with Fluke is a win for implementing Fluke device monitoring, aka, PdM.

Inconvénients

Out of the box, fundamental operation is not there.
There are quirks and features that need to be turned on to operate.
This obstacles must trip you up in your rollout in order to be "fixed".

Need a team dedicated to driving an out-of-the-box solution so that Users can hit the ground running.

CMMS Review

I understand I use the most basic functions of this program. Part of that is the lack of time to sit down and really go through every item on the drop screens, looking for the options I need to achieve my objectives. My thought has always been some of this could be streamlined from a programmers standpoint.

Avantages

Quick and easy for daily use of producing work orders and PMs.

Inconvénients

The integration and set up seems a bit more clunky than it has to be. Linking up with Excel to produce relevant and in depth spreadsheets takes way more steps to achieve than it should, in my opinion. There has been a lot of trial and error on my part to amass the info I need into an easily read format.

3.5 year user

Overall eMaint works well for us. We use X4, so with multiple sites we have some challenges.
Having eMaint has helped with ease of access to information at our finger tips for external auditors, and for internal reports. We use the export data function a lot!

Avantages

Very customizable to individual needs, most changes can quickly be done in-house.

Inconvénients

Because of the flexibility, not all of our sites are built the same way (forms for example), so sometimes copying a report for other sites does not work seamlessly.

Manager Representative

Expensive and we are not used often this outdated platform software, it is only being used as an asset database

Avantages

I used it because it was used by a large company for stability and software.
The only purpose to use E-maint is to keep multiple buildings and tons of physical asset database

Inconvénients

There seems to be a lot of inconvenience to users. For example the Work order tools, it is too complicated to use on a daily basis. the platform is outdated compared to Limble, Monday, and Upkeep

A pup you train the way you want

I have used and implemented several CMMS systems. eMaint is my favorite and I would definitely look to use them again. The eMaint SaaS product is very competitively priced with some value-add learning materials beyond the CMMS in their eMaint University add-on.

Avantages

Out of the box a lot of configuration is required with a lot of superuser flexibility to do it the way you want.
X4 interface is visually pleasing and easy to navigate.

Inconvénients

The current platform is X4 but there is a lot of legacy features from their X3 platform if you want to do more than the most basic of functions. eMaint are already marketing an X5 platform. I only hope they actually finish all of the features.
To the above point, there is a few program features not done, or they took a half assed easy approach. PM forecast an example where you can forecast calendar based PMs only, feilds like average daily use exist out of the box so it should be readily possible to forecast hours based PMs. This request exists within their user forum.
My company has a very particular way to receive goods and process invoices. eMaint has these as hard coded features not configurable.

Best customer and technical support

What I like the most about eMaint is not only great web-based application but best customer and technical support.

Avantages

eMaint is web-based so it can be accessed from anywhere.

It is also easy to maintain and add new modules such as Material Requests and Interactive Plans according to our business needs without extra cost.

Inconvénients

We have been using eMaint X4 version for last 3 years and looking forward to upgrading to X5 but it takes longer than I expected for X5 to be fully compatible to all X4 features.

A great team, behind a great product!

Very positive, particulalry the support team. They are always responsive and helpful. A credit to the business

Avantages

It is simple to use and understand. it is configurable and the team support you if the default configuration needs to be changed to meet your requirements. Bulk changes using the user interface is a bonus, rather than having to change the database table. It works, it is dependable

Inconvénients

Some of the reports can be tricky to work out, if you have an understanding of databases and relationships/joins it helps. If not, the team will support you in designing a report that meets your requirements

Very customizable with full function maintenance and purchasing system.

We did not have a way to track preventive maintenance or our spend per assist. eMaint will allow us to do this. We also have a way to purchase our MRO with upfront approvals.

Avantages

The ability to customize the software to fit our needs.

Inconvénients

The onboarding process was not helpful. Had to figure most of it out on our own.

eMaint CMMS review

We have started with the basic work control system for our facilities division and are looking to expand to include inventory, fiscal, construction and project management and real estate.

Avantages

The system is user friendly, customer service is great to work with when changes are made, updating info, etc., the software can encompass all our needs and expand as we grow to incorporate future needs.

Inconvénients

There were a few glitches with customer service needs as we were switching over from a previous system. These were pointed out and have been corrected.

Finally getting a hold on data and putting it to work.

I like it a lot better and a lot easier to use then SAP or MP2 and I fought to keep MP2 but I'm glad I lost the fight.

Avantages

Any data that is captured can be use to your benefit. Charting systems are superb. Charting , Top 5 issue planning , & Inventory. Its all at your fingertips.

Inconvénients

The way your have to import the data in when you are first intergrading into your facility . the way you capture it to import doesn't come out the same, but when your over that learning curve it smooths out.

Overall Experience

Avantages

eMaint keeps a detailed record of our Fleet along with repairs.

Inconvénients

None that I can really think of except when I need to go back to a particular Asset, it seems like I have to go through a few screens first.
