Inconvénients

Ce que je n'aime pas chez Bubble, ce sont finalement mes propres limites! Des regrets sur mon propre travail de DBA, ou un workflow non optimisé. Bref, mes propres insuffisances. Puis-je incriminer Bubble dans ce cas?

What was most important for me at the beginning is that you can really build anything you want. I tried no code platforms before but there was always something that I couldn't do and my clients were disappointed. Now with bubble anything they ask, I can build. With the new responsive engine it's super easy to build beautiful apps in no time that work on all devices.

Inconvénients

I think the learning curve is pretty steep. When you start you immediately see the potential of Bubble but to achieve what you really want, you need to work a lot and learn a lot.

Avantages

What I like the most is the fact that Bubble is quite easy to learn, although it is hard to master. After a while, we can create almost anything we like.

Inconvénients

It has weird bugs. Sometimes the editor is not responding OK on Chrome, or some workflows are not working on mobiles while they are working on desktops. Usually, you can find a workaround.

The concept is cool. There are a plethora of detailed videos for every conceivable option with developing apps. So many in fact it becomes an adventure finding answers to things easily solved with standard programming. One could spend a lot of time learning how to find out how to find out how to write an app for canceling service with bubble.

It’s easier to write code than to learn how this works.

Bubble is a all in 1 visual programing tool : you can manage Design, Logic and database in the same tool which is very convenient.

There are still some limitation for "big consuming app" but bubble constantly evolve and performances get better and better.

No option for other native database; no relational integrity; the sequence of workflow execution (steps) is not clear and reliable; it's difficult (or some impossible) to know how much it will cost monthly when running in production.

Easy to start using and progress. There are a lot of tutorials and a large community of people that can support development as well.

Very steep learning curve. I initially started developing with Bubble but gave up after a few weeks due to how difficult it was to learn. But the resources I discovered help improve the platform.

It's amazing how quickly you can go to market with bubble.io. It makes no sense to do the same thing in code, even if you know (as I do) how to do it, just to find out that your customers wouldn't need the product you're developing.
You have an idea, 1 day later it's reality.
Still have to find limitations related to scalability, as my platform has less than 30 users.

Inconvénients

SEO ranking is terrible for bubble native websites, so do not use it for landing pages. If you just need to do a Landing page, use something else, such as webflow or wix.
Bubble is great for webapps
Some technical things take a little time to get used to.

I like the ease of use.
It allows me to launch quick MVPs to see their potential impact.
Having the option to *almost* completely customize by using also custom code.
Having plugins and integrations is very powerful.

Inconvénients

- Performance is not always perfect and needs to be an expert to optimize the project to make sure the performance is optimal.
- Some elements are a bit limited in terms of customization. For example the video is limited only to youtube and vimeo, and while there are plugins that allows to add files to the DB it's not always perfect and customizable.

Avantages

It helps us build software for clients with way less developers on a project due to bubbles ease of use and speed to develop complex platforms.

Inconvénients

What bubble makes up in speed of development it reduces the scalability of it. Bubble is 10X more expensive than any other software we use. Bubble costs us more in hosting than our office rent making it almost impossible for us to sell it to a client and we have lost a lot of clients due to bubbles expensive rates.

I truly wish the team would make it their number 1 priority to address the backend UI interface, especially when it comes to interacting with CRM data, it feels completely messy and confusing. As a designer, it some times shocks me how poorly it's designed, a simple look at Figma or even the not-so-great UI of Webflow makes Bubble look from the 80s in UI. It is time for a big improvement there, for the sake of it's current users and future ones.

Impossibility to keep a printed memory of all the development work. I'm used to keep a full listing of all my developments, but here it's impossible (or ther is sommething I've missed)
