Inconvénients

Ce que je n'aime pas chez Bubble, ce sont finalement mes propres limites! Des regrets sur mon propre travail de DBA, ou un workflow non optimisé. Bref, mes propres insuffisances. Puis-je incriminer Bubble dans ce cas?

Bubble provides all needed integration, and/or the ability to integrate to very much any API. The simple way of presenting the tools to create complex solutions helps to focus in creating vs learning. Of course, learning is always good to use its full potential. Bubble provides the necessary resources to concentrate in the application and not so much in the implementation. With CPU and speed reports we can measure performance and have peace of mind at the time of deployment.

Support is only by email. (but support responded in good time and manner.)

The concept is cool. There are a plethora of detailed videos for every conceivable option with developing apps. So many in fact it becomes an adventure finding answers to things easily solved with standard programming. One could spend a lot of time learning how to find out how to find out how to write an app for canceling service with bubble.

It’s easier to write code than to learn how this works.

Bubble is a good choice for building MVPs or even fully-fledged web apps without extensive coding knowledge. In due time, after learning the platform non-technicals cancreate sophisticated web applications with relative ease. It's important to note that Bubble is focused on web apps and does not provide support for creating native mobile apps.

Inconvénients

Bubble has limitations, including no control over your code and data and inability to export your code. It has a learning curve, and designing responsive pages can be challenging. Depending on Bubble's platform can pose a risk in the event of technical glitches on their part. Not creating native mobile apps can be a drawback.

Bubble gives me ALL the most important pieces of the puzzle to create a viable software system. I like the way Bubble creates pages, preview, and deploy them to a live public-facing web product fast. I like the built-in User system. I like the row-level security system. I like the way it manages a dev environment and production environment seamlessly and intelligently. I like the navigation between pages. I love the way objects in the database are defined, created, and linked to the application. I like the way pages can be laid out responsively using techniques similar to the best prototyping systems like Figma. It's almost as fast to create live working production pages as it is to design them in a prototyping tool. I like the way data elements are referenced on the page. I like the way information can be presented, edited by a user, and then stored. It gives you the power of the display and the power of the saving process. I like the rich and useful plugins. I like how almost every external service you will need is already available, and how EASY it is to connect to external APIs. I LOVE how the entire system -- EVERYWHERE -- automatically shows changes to data everywhere all at once. The technical description of this feature is that every element that shows data has a subscription to that database element automatically. Most of all, I like how searching and displaying information and pictures are handled. using fast and easy-to-understand techniques.

Inconvénients

The dynamic data source entry boxes, where you can use "no code" thinking, access both simple ("grab the data from a data field or another component on the page" ) and complex ("merge the results of a database search with a list just entered by the user and stored in the page"). But, the entry box is small and too tightly "prompted". Just making it larger would be an improvement. I don't like how all options sets and plugin data are loaded with every page even when that page doesn't make use of it - I believe it affects page-loading performance.

UI of the editor and backend. listing workflows horizontally and not vertically is terrible. And the editor popup is always in the way in the workflow view. We need margin: auto!! new 'app data' view is bad - I HAVE to use the search function to find my 'thing'each 'view' should show the number of constraints it has. [just a little number tag to show if this is all of the users... or did I apply a constraint yesterday that I forgot about]

Like all software, Bubble has its quirks to get used to. Want to clear certain things in your app (like a field in a database)? Well, the delete icon doesn't always fully delete; you'll need to find the 'Optimise application' button deep in your settings and fully delete there.Bubble also thrives on its plugins for the best functionality. However, plugins are a mixed bag: Bubble doesn't do much quality checking, so some just don't do what you need them to. Plugin documentation is often thin on the ground, or totally non-existent, even for plugins Bubble publish themselves. Sometimes documentation for a plugin is a 1,000+ post thread on the Bubble Forum - imagine searching StackOverflow, but every problem about that language was in one enormous thread - which makes it really difficult to find a solution for your problem. Relying on plugins also means Bubble is reliant on its community continuing to maintain these plugins; I hope that with time Bubble is looking to build in some of the features of its most popular plugins to the core app to secure both its own business and the workings of the businesses that make Bubble apps!Bubble are great with support queries, but feeding back anything that isn't a bug can be difficult. They have an 'ideaboard', where users can upvote good ideas, but it's unclear what priority these ideas fall under, or if they're in scope at all. The Bubble Forum is unreliable: many posts get no helpful replies, even fewer get replies from Bubble staff.

Very easy to create apps , do custom stuffs. Very easy to go into Development through it , a very good community on your forum and good reactivity from the CS team.

Inconvénients

Performance like I said, very poor for ecommerce and even for an app to use every day as a team. And the second on is hat we can read the DB fastly when it comes to advanced filters. We have to think about workarounds, which oblige us to store the data twice which is a lot of work. and even with that this is not that easy to do.

Avantages

Bubble has given me the ability to bring my very complex idea to life. I feel so empowered that I'm able to create whatever comes to mind and make quick changes as my strategy evolves. It didn't take long for me to figure out that Bubble is a lot more powerful than it seems, but I'm constantly realizing that the potential it unlocks is truly endless. The only limit is your willingness to grow and imagine.

Inconvénients

I wish that Bubble had a built in way to manage user payments so I didn't have to rely on an external tool like Stripe. I also think there could be improvements to the visualization of data, logs, and more transparency into what went wrong with a backend workflow when there's an error. Finally, the feature I want the most is support for creating native iOS and Android apps.

Bubble is a all in 1 visual programing tool : you can manage Design, Logic and database in the same tool which is very convenient.

Inconvénients

There are still some limitation for "big consuming app" but bubble constantly evolve and performances get better and better.

What I like the most is the fact that Bubble is quite easy to learn, although it is hard to master. After a while, we can create almost anything we like.

Inconvénients

It has weird bugs. Sometimes the editor is not responding OK on Chrome, or some workflows are not working on mobiles while they are working on desktops. Usually, you can find a workaround.

Easy to start using and progress. There are a lot of tutorials and a large community of people that can support development as well.

Very steep learning curve. I initially started developing with Bubble but gave up after a few weeks due to how difficult it was to learn. But the resources I discovered help improve the platform.

At my level I have a lot of difficulty developing certain functionalities. I think Bubble can be even simpler to use, develop and implement. At some point it is necessary to call on an agency or at least training.
