Best scheduling software for the money

We've tried several scheduling and clock in platforms. This one is by far the best one we've ever used.

Good Customer Support

They are willing to work with me on custom solutions - I have a seasonal business where I have MANY more employees during a 7 week period than I do throughout the remainder of the year. They were helpful in structuring an annual fee that covers all my needs.

Great Software

We switched to Humanity 6 months ago and it has been wonderful. It tracks all the employees time as well as request for time off.

Proven Reliable

Our company has used ShiftPlanning since 2012. When we started using their service we had several unique requirements of their software. Our scheduling staff reached out to the ShiftPlanning professional with pleasing results. They were able to shape our dashboard into a fluid site that met all of our requirements. We always received swift and dependable actions. These changes were always followed up with a confirmation call or email to ensure what we had requested had been completed.
I would refer these great resources to any organization, new or established, that is looking for an option to their current scheduling abilities.

Moderately good app

Great product, some hiccups

I think it's one of the most easy to use shift planning tools out there.

I've had a few issues with billing that have been annoying. The transition from sales to customer support was bumpy.

The forum for suggesting new ideas or asking about problems seems to be dead. Lot's of suggestions are going up there, including mine, but not much, if any, feedback from the company. Looks like the forum was used heavily early on, but now it's not very helpful. I've talked to a few people about some features i'd like to see and I'm told it's possible, but there doesn't appear to be any progress.

Apparently there is a redesign coming that I was told would be arriving last fall, but I don't see anything yet. I would like to know how it is progressing.

Overall, there is a lot of potential with this product and I hope it continues to be developed and improved.

Shift Planning!

Shiftplanning is brilliant. It is easy to use and has more features than I expected to find. I give it rave reviews with other local business owners and feel that it is very valuable to me. I would not give it up for anything. The support team is prompt, professional and kind. They have been willing and able to help with any and all questions I have thrown their way. Very Impressive!!

Easy to use, Helpful

ShiftPlanning is incredibly helpful for payroll, staff database, organization location, and common messaging. Would recommend for any company. Attractive, easy to use interface and simple layout.

A very good solution

Awesome scheduling tool. I love the way it automatically sends out notifications to my employees when a schedule is published. Good for any size business though mine is just a couple dozen employees.

Wonderful HRIS

Shiftplanning is a very comprehensive and easy to use system. They support and training is phenomenal. It has really helped our company with accountability. I would recommend this system to all companies.

Dependable, affordable, and flexible

Shift Planning Review

I've been using Shiftplanning for my small business for 3 years. It's easy to use and it's easy for my employees to use. No more paper schedules and no more excuses that they didn't see the schedule. It reminds them by text and email that they have a shift starting in 24 hours and then again in 60 min! The price did change from the 1st and 2nd year by quite a bit. I continue to use it because of it's convenience.

Comprehensive scheduling

I have had an overall positive experience with it and plan to use it in the coming weeks and months as I need to make changes to my schedule.

Lots of bugs and complications.

I should have probably expected more of the bugs we encountered as we used humanity, but honestly, the customer service when dealing with these bugs is awful. They black hole you with promises to get things fixed and never do anything about it. We have used them for several months and are fed up with them. Their app never functions correctly either. Lot's of good ideas very poorly executed.

Great for our growing company

Very user friendly for our employees who have to record their time in the field. Not only can our employees clock in and out from their cell phones, they can also attach notes to each time card so we can easily give status updates to our clients.

Time Saving Program

Love this program. We are a transportation company and I have guys that start work at all hours of the day and night. All of my employees have the app on their Iphone and can clock in and out no matter where they are. I would recommend this program to anyone due to the ease of this program.

Humanity Helped my Business operate easier

I own 3 retail locations with over 15 employees. I use humanity for all of my scheduling and it is great.

A bit confusing to use

Keeping our staff connected while not invading their days off with group texts

Staff start their day by clocking in with Humanity and checking the dashboard for messages from fellow team members. I love that each staff member can choose their preferences as to how connected with work they want to be outside of their time at work. They could just check the dashboard when they get to work or they can stay on top of communications by receiving texts/emails when anyone posts a message to the group. I always feel bad group texting our staff because it interrupts their time off at home with family. Some people want that and some people don't. We love Humanity!

Great Time Saver!

As a small business I strongly recommend Shiftplanning for any event & catering business. It has been a huge time saver for scheduling and weekly payroll. In just minutes I can review all employee hours and track where they clocked in and out. Time sheet reports saves me a lot of time when I do payroll.

Almost there

Humanity has been very helpful in our business and it works out great. If there's anything that needs to be updated, there are two things: 1) Please make it easier to find schedules that need to be republished. We have multiple people administering our account, and if a change is made and we don't want to republish all of the schedules, it's difficult to locate the 1 or 2 schedules. 2) Instead of a text message warning, is there any way to incorporate an in-app alarm? Our notifications come in so frequently that we tend to dismiss our texts when they come in.

1. Need to correct Local Timing for TURKEY as UTC + 03:00
(Many Times Requested but no ability to solve.)
2. Main Settings such as Leave Date Limitation might be set-up for each employee's
3. Leave Settings (Limiations, Leave Types, etc ) might be privatised by ADMIN up-to total working time, Gender, etc with creating rules by Admin in Settings TAB.
4.Leave Report export obtion should be added for PDF or XLS or etc types.
5. Easy integration with SMS Servers such as Twilio, etc providers should be added in ADMIN settings as easy set-up option.

CodeStream Studios Review of you

We had to retrofit this software to make it operable for our model. There are a few issues that cause it to be a little less user friendly when loading the applicable data on the front end but once you can figure out how to set it up initially, and then remember how you did it.....it works perfectly! We consistently work through our challenges, because we do not have many options for our unique business model needs. The customer service we have received to date, is excellent! Humanity is the new Fingerprint scanner

We are using Shiftplanning (Humanity) from 2015 and it is a great piece of software that handles staff attendance with its amazing shifts and vacations. It is very cheap like say per month for an employee.

We needed reports of individual staff, no of worked works, no of leaves left and more. Thus we opted for Shiftplanning when traditional methods like fingerprint scanners failed. Love this app and it is a must have for any business. It has a mobile version as well which is cool. :)

Time Saver

This product allows us to publish our shifts directly to the employees without having to contact individually. It also allows the managers to see shifts and locations for the following day. Our overall productivity has increased across the entire company.

Great value, very easy to get up and running

This has been an incredibly easy process right from the start. We were able to load in our employee database in just a few minutes and get running right away. User interface is very intuitive as well as the product tour for each new member. No long, boring training sessions or endless hours of configuration required for the admins. Works as advertised and any time we had a question or issue it was resolved promptly through instant chat or email. Very responsive company, excellent product, great value.

It was easy to learn

I like the differant options to they have to view the schedules. My manager likes to view the schedule by position and it makes sense to her but not me. I look at the visual because it makes sense to me and not her. Options are good

Shiftplanning

This program is very easy to use. Over all I like this product best.

It does have some limitation. Leave request can only be placed xx days before. When scheduling 28 days 2wks in advance staff find it difficult to know when they can and can't place request. Therefore if this would be a date range would be great. An enhanced level of scheduling would be great. Staff that manage the day to day staffing do not need to see what is happening 6 weeks in the future.

Deceiving.

Seems like it would be cheap or free but it isn't. It's actually one of the more expensive sites. They have a second name/ site I can't find in my email but complete waste of time. They let you build everything with the thought that it would be free and then when you get everything set up they determine a price after 30 days and go around telling you any price up front until you are already using and depending on it. Not worth the hassle and lies.

software is not value priced

software shift planning is okay. has a habit of shifting the opposite start or end shift if you change the other start or end time or will change the date . employee shift trading seems to be not user friendly my staff as issues with it. a company shouldnt have to do training on something that should be user friendly. as soon as I find another program that is more user friendly i will be leaving. their pricing is a little high.

Hopefully they've improved the product!

This was the first online scheduling software we tried, but because of the glitches we had to find a new product. We ended up going with 7shifts, and we've stayed with that for 2+ years.

I hope they've been able to improve the product.

Feedback on user interface

We are a training company and use humanity to see which of our employees have a training scheduled. But besides that, we also use the time clock for hourly employee AND we keep our office conferences there as well so that everyone in our organization can see when is a good time to meet with someone. Humanity has met every single need around when it comes to scheduling. Great app!

Humanity Review

Well designed, complicated to use in places

I looked at a lot of programs for scheduling. Humanity was clean and well designed, but once I got into making a schedule, I found it more complicated and less user friendly than others. I also found there were too many settings - so much granularity made it hard to know what to check and what not to. customer support was great.

Humanity for capturing labor hours

Humanity has worked very well for our staffing business. The system is easy to use for both our clients and employees. The payroll file we export weekly has reduced processing time by hours.
The only improvement I would ask for at this time is for more functionality with the rounding of clock in times to the schedule.

Thanks Humanity. I don't think the mobile app quite offers everything that the browser does but it's getting better. The majority of my young staff only uses a phone so an app where you can perform everything is very important to them. I hear this frequently.

We are an education faculty that supports students with special needs on a one or two teaching staff to student ratio and each student is set up as a different shift each day. I have been most impressed with the customer support I have received over the years.
