The website is great - app isn’t the best
Avantages
Makes scheduling simple and requires less effort on the employers as employees can enter their own availability and leave requests. It syncs nicely with google calendar and makes scheduling easier. Employees can easily view their schedules from their mobile device.
Inconvénients
The app doesn’t always work and there has been times when availability was submitted through the app but not recorded by the software. Also, it was a bit difficult to get the hang of in the beginning but becomes easier with use.

Great system
Been really easy to manage multiple locations with multiple schedules. Even the staff find it really easy to use as be able to request time off when ever it comes up with out having to always remember to come in and ask when they get here.

easy to communicate
Humanity allows all staff to easily view, update, change and approve their schedules.
Avantages
I love that you are able to easily perform any of your schedule tasks, while being able to ask questions to other peers within the same product.
Inconvénients
Since I have not used very many software such as humanity, I am unable to really pinpoint actual problems, it is understandable and has great functionality.

Helps ease scheduling of a very large group of people however it makes things a little more complicated than need to be and find that software like Amion seem more valuable

enjoy using software because its very easy to use

easy process, it also me to see exactly where my employees clock in and out and let me know if they are on time to their shifts
Inconvénients
sometimes we have glitches to clock in depending on the area my nurses are in and we have to clock them in from the office which is not so good because we don't know exactly where they are when they are asking us to clock them in

Avantages
It becomes your diary once you get used to it. and its easy getting used to it.
Inconvénients
Time zones can be tricky. Be careful with the planning if you work in different timezones.

Love the new look
I love the new look but still miss the ease of use of the old look. So far though, I love the application and use it everyday.

Enjoyed. My Staff Like it
Cuts down my work time of staffing. Emails are wonderful reminders. the sign in and out feature helps with payroll.
Avantages
Love the repeat Shifts and how you can move staff around with out redoing all the work. The email reminders are convent also.
Inconvénients
Wish you could print off a one page calendar to post in the place of work. Some times we have and error emails in regards to shifts.

My experience with Humanity has been pleasant - this software offers everything necessary for its core focus.
Avantages
Humanity is the most effective and user-friendly software that I've used in terms of schedule management.
Inconvénients
I've experienced several issues when signing up for allocating different shifts regarding more complex situations - holidays, overtime, weekend work.

Highly Recommend
I have a small business with 11 employees, and Humanity created a custom plan to meet my needs. Customer service is always quick to respond. The program saves a ton of time and headache and has features that put accountability on the employees (scheduling time off, trading shifts, setting available days/hours).

Avantages
We like the ease of scheduling our guards and getting their shifts acknowledged electronically. Our guards like the ease of access as well.
Inconvénients
It is a hassle that they charge per active employee instead of ranges of employees. The security industry has a high turn over rate and having to disable guards regularly can be hard sometimes

Makes my life easier
I only manage 25 employees, thank goodness, but I'm not going to do it with a pencil and paper. It's easy to make changes, notify employees of schedule changes and they love it. It's also very helpful to slide that bar to cover our busy times and the availability feature is great as well as the request for time off.

Switching between views can be a little hard to navigate.

Humanity online scheduling has been quite helpful for us. There are a few functions that the scheduling software won't allow us to accomplish but what it does, it does well.
Avantages
It is easy to read when it is printed out. It is nice that we can get our schedules online also.
Inconvénients
There are a few reports I'd like to be able to print out but they aren't available.

Avantages
It is accessible from my phone. I can check whenever I want when do I have work and when do I have spare time. It makes me more flexible.
Inconvénients
Personally, I do not like the visual representation of most features.

Great for Scheduling!!!!!!
I use shiftplanning for my 4 locations and absolutely awesome I really love it. Very Simple and has a bunch of great features. Pricing is very reasonable and customer service is top notch.

Humanity - great improvement to setup schedule & real time updates from our previous Excel...
Avantages
Ability to set available time for individuals and thus the ability to see who is available for shifts and plug them in to maintain the coverage we need. Dashboard to see how is currently on. We haven't deployed it out to the staff themselves yet but when we do I anticipate the ability to notify not making a shift and requesting someone to cover for them is going to be a plus over the current email notices being used today.
Inconvénients
We would like to be able to see the ability to make more global changes -- such as highlighting all staff to make a global change. Secondly, ability to set overall open hours for the business.

Humanity Works Well for Humans in Nonprofits
Though not the most intuitive, it is not too complicated either. We decided to give it a try because we are after some good scheduling tool for our small organization. So far, it is fulfilling the purpose.
Avantages
It is affordable and can save you a ton of time! Makes scheduling easy and adjusted to your needs! Since working from home now, being cloud-based is a huge plus.
Inconvénients
I have still much to explore, but so far the mobile version has been the only downside I've noticed so far.

Simple and reliable
Best shift planning application on the market. The convenience helps you get schedules done in half the time.
Avantages
You can adjust multiple schedules in the same window. As soon as you complete your schedules they automatically email to the employee after you finalize.
Inconvénients
Some lag when you switch sections. No undo button. You can accidentally copy all your schedules at once. It'll double everything up and you'll have to manually erase everything and start over. At least on the ones that aren't finalized. ( just pay attention)

Easy to understand scheduling
I've had a great experience with the customer service helping me set up. Its been a smooth transition and has given our company a little more organization to keep us efficient and running smoothly.

When a request off is approved or rejected it doesn't notify the employee, that would be helpful.

Perfect employee scheduling system
We've been using for the past year and I absolutly love it. We even use the system for room and timeslot reservations for birthday parties.
Avantages
Easy to use and the interface is very responsive.
They keep improving the application periodically with minimal impact.

Humanity Keeps Me Human!
I work as a delivery driver, and our work is pretty solitary. With Humanity I don't have to call in to work to as for available shift hours, I can just simply log into Humanity to see any that need to be picked up and pick them up from the software itself.
Avantages
I love the ease of seeing my shift schedule, and being able to see open shifts that I could take.
Inconvénients
I really have no cons regarding this software. It works as intended.

Great for our business
Shiftplanning has revolutionised our rostering and payroll, decreasing the time commitment from around 12 hours per week to 1-2 hours per week. It would be great if it could link directly with xero, our payroll software.

A complete waste of money & resources - terribly unreliable with so many bugs.
None in the end. Just a waste of resources and money.

If it worked, it would be a fantastic product. The schedule copying facility is theoretically great as well as the clocking in feature... if only it wasn't riddled with bugs.
Inconvénients
We spent 3 months trying to set our staff up with this. We had so many bugs - affecting scheduling, pay, permissions - a total nightmare and waste of so much effort.

They are all unprofessional, told them to delete my account and to cancel billing, they confirmed and replied that my account will not be billed again. But when I checked my card statement they were still charging me after that. Don't trust this company.

Game Changer
ShiftPlanning has completely changed the way we do business. As a Logistics Coordinator for a small business that operates in many different locations over any given day, ShiftPlanning allows all of our employees to say up to date when any schedule changes and gives them exact directions to any remote work sites. Complete game changer for a small business. Would definitely recommend it.

Some missing features
I like Shiftplanning/Humanity (what is it called today?) but there are still some crucial features missing; i.e., the ability to edit PTO requests before approving, better vacation summaries in individual profiles, and the ability to group staffers by team rather than alphabetically. I would like to see more customization. Scheduling software should not be a one-size-fits-all. I have asked for some of these features for years, only to be promised they'd "be put on the roadmap," yet I have never seen anything like this come to fruition. For what it does, it's fine - but could be so much better and easier to use.
Avantages
Relatively easy to use. Like the ability to set SMS or email notifications of schedule changes.
Inconvénients
Clunky in places; can be slow; doesn't allow for basic Vacation editing before approval. You have to reject an entire request to modify a Vacation rather than edit. It's frustrating.

Avantages
Super easy and quick to schedule shifts especially when you have a lot of shifts and people to schedule. As a manager the scheduling table is very handy especially when it comes to finding replacement and adjusting shifts. The notification feature is also very useful and can be customized.
Inconvénients
The reporting tool is not very helpful. Also, the layout of the website cannot be customized per your requirements.

Avantages
Very user-friendly platform that allows me to view what our team will look like on a given day, based on availability. Allows me to easily plan vacations and select days off.
Inconvénients
There isn't anything I don't like for this software. It is very helpful with shift planning.

Does the job
Avantages
With Humanity, it's easy to add and remove employees to and from the schedule, request and approve time off, and more. It's helpful in tracking the coverage you'll have each day, along with how much time off is being taken, etc.
Inconvénients
It takes 3 clicks to approve time off. Unnecessary, in my opinion.

Not perfect, but it is meeting our needs.
We're still learning all the features and working out the kinks. Overall, it seems to be going well.
Avantages
The schedule wizard is helpful. I like that I can schedule specific staff to specific locations and positions.
Inconvénients
I wish there was a way to assign specific supervisors to specific locations so that only those supervisors who need to see the staff availability or vacation requests from that location would see them. Right now, all supervisors see everyone and it really fills up their e-mail. Then then have to sort through to see which ones they are actually responsible for.

This app makes clocking in and out of shifts easy for jobs that require heavy traveling.
Avantages
I like that it sends reminder emails to me 24 hours, 1 hour, and 5 minutes before a shift starts. I also like that it reminds me to clock out if I forget.
Inconvénients
I do not like how long it takes for the program to find my location. Because it's technology, sometimes it messes up.
