It is what it is... shift planning. Nothing more, nothing less. It's notification features are robust as it includes email and text reminders, which is a plus if the shifts vary often for each person.

Feels like we have to get another software for a specific need... I'm the kind that prefer to have less software doing more work so less places for me to go to.

The software is a favorite of both Management and the employees. It is very functional and easy to use. IT allows us to plan and schedule for our needs. Many of these software programs do the same thing basically, but this has received positive reviews from most.

The forecasting option is a bit complex and more than we need but at some point we may implement it if we continue to use this program

Shiftplanning is great for shift organization and personnel tracking. Our employees use it on a day to day basis.

Lack of interface customization. Other than that, there is isn't much else to complain about. Overall solid product.

Avantages

You can use either the app or the computer to schedule staff. You are able to add notes in the app for each job. I like the notifications that are sent out to staff when a change is made and the notifications I receive when a shift is unacknowledged or put up for trade.

Inconvénients

You are not able to see the shifts that were unacknowledged on the app, you have to use the computer. You are unable to post an open shift on the app, you must assign it to a specific person.

Hands Down the customer service. It is fairly user-friendly but can be complicated at times when doing things that repeat. Having the customer service that is very fast and reliable regardless of the time of day makes this software very valuable.

Doing reoccurring shifts can sometimes be complicated. Also, my employees didn't like the clock-in/clock-out functionality, so we ended up having to use another software application.

If you have a small business like a restaurant or retail store this system is great. I like the ability to clock in remotely with a picture of the gps location.

Nothing much great to say about this. I'm being forced to use it for my job, but it's incredibly counter intuitive.

The mobile view is almost impossible to decipher. There isn't even any way to filter through shifts you want to pick up. Unnecessary information clutters the page constantly.

This is a great scheduling software. It helps me manage all shifts, schedules, payroll and clocking in and out.

A little learning curve but it is a great system. I learned how to use it very quickly. I do not have any big complaints

That the steps are so simple to overcome when there's a problem. Whenever i needed to fix or correct a shift or extend job info, the steps and process was very easy.

Occasional glitches with the software -- time clock issues, logging in or logging out, making sure you're under the correct name.

Easy to add multiple positions for each employee. Easy get setup and go. Easy to schedule for multiple weeks. Good value for features offered.

Inconvénients

Your employees can't see the total time they've worked in the app. They can see each timesheet but they have to log into the computer to see the total hours.
Some of the more advanced features are frustrating to figure out at first.
Humanity doesn't subtract leave automatically

The ease of this product is incredible!! Shiftplanning is the best online scheduler I have ever worked with. It eliminates sticky notes and has everyone's availability right in front of me when i sit down to do the weekly schedule. The 24 hour and hourly reminder make it virtually impossible for employees to miss a shift!!

I like it when I check the weekly report and when I do the payroll, it gives me the accurate numbers of hours.

I believe there were 2 or 3 but off the top of my head I can only remember that the schedule editing, for repeating shifts is not that easy to edit once you create it. I believe if you change something on one of those repeating shifts there's no option to make that global. You pretty much have to delete the schedule and recreate a new repeating one to do that.

We have several different time clock locations and this makes using the timeclock and scheduling feature easy for us.

Inconvénients

No batch printing option for timesheets. Our payroll provider isn't a Humanity partner so payroll is time consuming for us. Also, we have been using this software for 8 months and are still trying to figure out which features work best for us. Having an in-person onboarding/set-up would have made a world of difference.

Humanity is easy to use and gives a breakdown of everything that you would need to know, as it regards attendance and scheduling.

It has a good, modern design which gives a feeling of using a premium service.

There are some limitations regarding the information that can be pulled from the website/app depending on the clearance level or the type of user you are.

The mobile app is convenient for our employees to use. The software also automatically sends messages to employees to remind them of their next shift/schedule.

Team shifts are easily managed in Humanity - adding and dropping shifts, reviewing time off requests, etc. Reports allow for reviewing time off and work hours over a period of time.

Inconvénients

The dashboard view is cluttered with quite a few extras that aren't really needed in most cases. Perhaps I'm not using the software to its fullest capability, but it would be nice to have the ability to disable features and views you aren't using.

Don't like that it "times out" after a certain period. Don't like that you can't make your own pattern for staffing repeating shifts. Would like to be able to swap shifts and modify the shift hours that are swapping to. Would like to track history on staff picking up shifts. For example would be nice if a staff request a shift it says that in the notes or history somewhere so they can't say "I never picked that shift up"
