Avantages

GoToConnect works for our organization to meet, share idea, and to connect from wherever all of our sales staff is at the time we need to get something done. Its easy to use, intuitive, simple, and is reliable.

Inconvénients

Great Software for VOIP

Overall, Jive is one of the best VOIPs out there. The issues are minimal and you get great customer service, plus the Jive website is so easy to use.

Avantages

I love the ease of customizing settings on the website. I manage the schedule daily and can make changes to the ring groups or different phone lines easily. If I do have a question, I am usually able to get ahold of someone at Jive rather quickly and they can make the changes for me but also walk me through how to do it for next time. The support team at Jive is very responsive.

Inconvénients

My main point of contention is that Jive doesn't keep logs of when there are issues with the phones. For example, we had someone call about 6 times after hours on a Friday, which we didn't find out about til we returned to the office Monday, and the techs couldn't help us figure out what the issue was or why the calls kept getting rerouted back to the main line instead of going to the after hours emergency line. The tech said it is best to call right after the incident happens, which would have been impossible for us since it was after hours!

Inexpensive VOIP phone system

Saved a lot of money using their VOIP over using a traditional landline provider. Voice quality is excellent . They have capability of voicemail and forwarding phone numbers all in the admin panel

Avantages

This software is very easy to use once you learn a little bit about it. It has great voice clarity. If you have problems setting it up you can contact customer service and they can log into you system and walk you through the steps to set something up. No long wait times foc customer service either.

Inconvénients

Everything about the system is pretty straight forward. I have not found any features that are missing.

Jive gave me step-by step guidance on how to properly and effectively set up Jive voice.

Our Biggest Win is one billing location, centralized control and the ability to control from any location

Avantages

My biggest win with Jive was having one voice mail location for both of our offices. We can set them up, change the message, retrieve and even see them visually from any location. We do not need to be in the offices to preform any of these actions. This is especially great being a seasonal business. We can custom-tailor the entire system to fit our needs. Jive also allowed us to have one billing for both locations.

Inconvénients

We have used Jive for the entire season now and there is not anything we have disliked about the software or the customer service.

Office Phones

its a hit or miss with customer service. I have had exceptional reps that has solved my problem quickly and with ease but i have also had reps that have just made the problem worse and rushed me off the phone.

Avantages

I really like that my staff and I can take our phones home with us so we can work from home when the weather is bad. I also really love that if the phone isnt answered at my office it will ring on my personal cell.

Inconvénients

I think it could be a little bit more user friendly but Im not the most tech savvy person.

I have 5 years of experience with GOTO connect. It helps to easy and fast set up the audio and video meeting with clients.

It is easy to use for beginners also.

Avantages

It is the cloud base audio and video conferencing platform. It provides the screen share feature which help to easy communication and visual representation.

We can easily setup or meeting and jump in meeting only by single click.

Inconvénients

While doing video conferencing the background feature and themes are not good. Required to add more professional thems in background.

Can't beat the pricing but does need some work

Avantages

Pricing was very affordable. For our size of company and the growth we've experienced, the Jive staff has been great working with us to lock-in pricing and help us grow when more accounts are needed.

Inconvénients

If you're calling through your computer or phone app, you will have a lot of dropped calls. Many of our reps use the app on the phone (or call through their computer) and report a horrible quality expereince and many dropped calls, with some switching to their old Google Voice number to complete the call. We've called Jive Support for help but the action taken has been very slow and to much avail.

Avantages

Ease of modifying the system to do what we need to do. It's just a few clicks away and several of us can do it. It's not like it is a one man show.

Inconvénients

The ACD capabilities leave out some options that we would like to see. Particularly the hunting option of Linear Priority hunting, where I can assign who gets the first and next call. I use people with different jobs as overflow. So I only want them to get the call if others are busy.

Client review

I can't think of a company I have used in the past decade on my phone service that has been as responsive as Jive. They are not perfect and stuff happens, but they will double their efforts to make sure it is corrected and they will follow up with you so you are not left in the dark. As far as just asking for directions on the setup and using the interface for daily login info, it is quite easy.
They are an outstanding company for service, support and product, what a great combination.

Avantages

I have been with the service prior to Jive buying out the previous company. I can tell you the improvements to software and interface has been upgraded to a very high level, you can see the flow on setting call sequences and ring groups. I have need help on items and even a recent phone purchase and porting over a number. Let me tell you this team is great, I had them provision the new phone and set up the new number and ship the new phone to me. The phone cost was a couple dollars higher than buying on Amazon. I would pay them that amount everyday and more. They are outstanding in service and support, they emailed me multiple times on updates, directed me to different departments for sales and service. I do not see myself with any other company that has treated my very small business with such support. The will walk you thru the software and you will see how intuitive it is. They in my personal opinion are the best.

Inconvénients

There is a lot you can do and the down side is if you do not use it everyday, as when your are setup thing just run. So, when you do need to add or change something it is a learning curve as I only need to address the software once or twice a year.
I am discussing the setup software, the actual login user interface is quite easy to use, I do use that more often and it make life simpler.

Great service at a great price

Our old system did not allow for direct calls to each person and so calls were answered by a receptionist. It is nice to have a personal number to give out and to know people can call you directly. it presented a more professional business setting. The old system also sounded horrible, with crackling noises all through the calls, Jive voice is like a smooth cup of Joe!

Avantages

I can control the system from my computer. It is easy to change messages and dial plans. When I get stuck, the service reps are the best. Very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to talk with. They understand your problems no matter how you explain it and they treat you like a VIP. There are so many features and I know we don't use them all!

Inconvénients

It is hard to find something, but if I have to I guess I would say the color of the phones. They are black, maybe a range of colors would be great!

Easy to use with full features

Avantages

Graphical IVR setup makes it simple to create a professional IVR. Full control over extensions, lines, voicemail, routing, and more make it a full-featured cloud-based phone system. Exceptionally good voice quality, availability, and support

Inconvénients

While I haven't done any extensive search since initial purchase, the cost per user is a little higher than I had before a prior merger into Jive.

Good tool

Reliable softphone app

I would recommend GoToConnect as a reliable soft phone app. I have not had any issues with using the applications.

Avantages

GoToConnect has been super helpful since I have been away from my office phone for months. The app is easy to use over WiFi. I use the app on both my laptop and phone and they are both reliable for answer calls and checking voicemails.

Inconvénients

I wish that the do not disturb settings had more options instead of simply on/off. If I am on vacation for an extended period I will turn off notifications on my phone; but it would be helpful to set the notifications based on time of day. I frequently receive calls outside of office hours and wish that it did not disrupt me when I am using my phone for personal use.

Call Disbursement is fine, online portal/queue is not

Avantages

I really like that you can use the call app both on your cell and a desktop phone (and computer). It makes it easy for anyone to use no matter their work station. It is also easy to see what calls people take, and make, as well as listen to them.

Inconvénients

The online portal for management, and the call queue information is very clunky and hard to navigate. My team and I have each individual page we may need bookmarked otherwise we have no chance in finding them.

All the functionality and an extremely low TCO

This is the second time I have used Jive is a medium sized company installation. Jive was able to beat everyone on price for both the month reoccurring as well as the phone equipment. It is a great system to maintain and has virtually all the features you could need.

Avantages

All the functionality a business could want COMES WITH the basic services. The web portal is easy to use and the technical support is ready, willing and able to assist if you hit a road block. Jive was also able to supply new high quality name brand phones.

Jive also can support fax machines which most VoIP providers do not. This is a big savings over the old copper line.

Inconvénients

If you are not a technical person you may need to call Jive to support. The support however is free and easy to reach so it isn't terrible.

A lot of potential -- mediocre as is.

It's not been outstanding. Support is hit or miss, service is definitely hit or miss.

Avantages

The portal has great functionality. It's mostly a clean GUI, but it has several access points for various functions -- making many functions more complicated than they could be.

Inconvénients

I like the flexibility of Jive Mobile/Desktop, etc. When everything works right, the system is largely brand-able and customizable.

Great! They are the best value for the money without the big price tag

Avantages

We have been a customer since before GoToConnect bought them out. Customer service is one of my very favorite reasons why we are still with them. We have some unique deployment features we needed and Jive was able to accommodate almost all of them

Inconvénients

International dialing. If you dial a lot of international numbers, there are a few countries that are banned and you have to ask for special circumstances to release those countries

Jive

I really like them. Being on the IT side they are always very helpful and have assisted me in solving issues (or just done it themselves). The reliability was shaky at first but we have had the service go down in months and months vs Ringcentral where it would go down a few times a month even if only for a few minutes. The admin side PBX takes some getting use to, but once you do its a breeze to set up new users and change features, but when you are learning something new, make sure you take note of all the steps needed to set things up, because you might forget the next time. Though this might be more my fault as this is my first time working with phones in depth. Though they need some improvement on the web/app side vs RC. They are far superior in ease of use and reliability.

Avantages

The customer service is great and I always get help when I call in which is a lot. Everything is very easy to setup for new users.

Inconvénients

Jive Web isnt great. There are (or were) a lot of bugs with it. We have some users who show they have messages or vms when they dont. I have contacted support about it and they have been very helpful but havent really found a fix. The texting option was in beta but isnt anymore? (not sure) so it works fine for the most part but acts strange sometimes and will stop working. I guess reporting is in beta as well and that is difficult to understand though this is in the PBX admin side vs Jive Web.

Quick & efficient way to communicate within your remote workspace

It's so simple to navigate that I didn't need to review the user manual

Avantages

The hold/transfer ability and soft transfer ability between call lines is very convenient for inner office connections and conferences.

Inconvénients

Sometimes if your internet connection or wifi isn't strong it will cause you to have to start over on the mobile app, but it's a tiny glitch with any technology that is easily adjusted/fixed.

Current Jive User

We feel as though we have made a great move by switching over to Jive. We would definitely do it again if we had to do it over.

Avantages

The software has MUCH better quality than our past software. The clarity and connection is much crisper and cleaner and the the down time is almost none. We are very happy with our change over to Jive. The on-boarding support team was very good too.

Inconvénients

There is not much we do not like about this software. Everything has been great since we took on Jive. The only thing we can possibly point out is the on-boarding support team was good but it did take us a while to port all of our numbers over.

A must have service for any business

My experience has been increased productivity, lower stress levels and so much easier to complete all I need to do each day, Thank you again Jive you have made my world better.

Avantages

Jive is easy to set-up and maintain. Using Jive for my business means I can now handle three times as many clients while still offering the personal touch that I am still present with them during training. Not once have I experienced a down time and not been able to perform the reach outs I need to make each day.Thank you Jive for making my life more productive, profitable and reliable.

Inconvénients

I would only add features to how we can sort out distribution lists into categories of different list names. This would be some help to track with a printable list to take with you on the road. I have no other observations where improvements could be made. I am sincerely satisfied with Jive.

Very responsive customer service.

Avantages

It is convenient to be able to use multiple phone lines that they provide.

Inconvénients

There are too many issues to deal with on a daily basis. Phone lines are down way too often. Customer support team us very helpful but there is always only temporarily fix to all the issues we are dealing with while using their services.

Great VoIP Service

Jive has been a great company to work with. Their staff really care about making the customer successful and they go out of their way to make sure you understand their product. Their onboarding experience is really optimized and they have a lot of automation on the process which makes things smooth. Their support team is really great as well. I have no reservations about working with them.

Avantages

Jive has a tremendously easy to use interface on their website that gives you complete control of your system. The dashboard is also very intuitive and everything is laid out in a way that makes sense.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the interface doesn't update that quickly which can be frustrating, but this is a rare event.

Customer support is awesome, organized, knowledgeable and follow up is terrific.

Avantages

The fact that it's online and our company users can collaborate across the country. We have a remote sales team and they were able to utilize the JIVE app on their company cell phones. It keeps everyone connected.

Inconvénients

The online portal is not as user friendly as it should be. We envisioned that it would be more intuitive. It's a bit complex and needs some reading in either the help manuals or a phone call to adjust most things in the portal.

Great product and even better customer support!

They make it really easy to add and remove users. The billing is very straight forward. Their project management team does an amazing job!

Jive is a VOIP service provider. Solid user interface and stellar customer support.

It runs our telephony infrastructure.

Avantages

Jive is a VOIP service provider that provides a very elegant and easy to navigate user interface for small to medium sized business voice services. But VOIP implementation is complex, what is most notable is both the response time and the quality of knowledge in the customer support team. They should be on a competitive short list, but should probably be picked over their competition because of their support staff.

Inconvénients

I only have any minor quibbles with the software, but first it is important to note there are significant complexities to implementing VOIP over data networks. While jive's voice services can operate over a wide variety of network configurations, it is very important to make sure the network infrastructure can support the prioritization of Jive voice services on the network or the jive voice traffic is segregated to a router and switch configuration that is optimized for VOIP.

One minor note is the iOS VOIP app doesn't relay full caller id information and does not send an alert when it is disconnected. The UI on the app needs a little polish as well, but perfectly fine for most users.

Professional, Easy to use service

We cannot be happier with Jive's service. Their customer support is always available and quick to answer the call and everyone seems to enjoy helping the customers (us). The easy to use interface makes it simple to change and add anything that you need.

Avantages

Jive offers many different features for one reasonable price. The main things that makes Jive attractive for a small office is the adaptation of essentially unlimited conference call lines as we host and manage various committees, boards, etc and the available mobile phone app that allows us to make and pick up calls out side of the office. We are always in and out of the office and being able to answer all calls remotely is game-changing.

Inconvénients

Though the available mobile app is handy and arguably the most utilized feature we use, it often kicks us out without notice and forces us to login over and over.

Using Jive

Replacing old Nortel PBXes, other VOIP implementations, and other patchwork phone systems is nice -- once all the kinks are worked out of a Jive PBX for a client it's pretty great. The Tier 2 / 3 Support is also excellent, when they are needed.

Avantages

Lots of features. Once configured properly, it works very nicely and we have had few issues for production PBXes.

Inconvénients

Lots of features - some of the management through the GUI to turn on or adjust features is unintuitive and probably unnecessarily so. Some of resolutions for issues seen during migrations to Jive took too long -- considering how critical regular phone service is for business, even now with all of the other communications tech options available.

Welcome to the 21st Century

Realized a great cost savings over the POT line service over broadband that we replaced. This is our first foray into IP phones and we waited until we could get fiber service before making the switch. LOVE being able to manage in the cloud!

Avantages

Full featured yet clean interface. Easy to get familiar with. LOVE not having to have the PBX hardware on site.

Inconvénients

The Chrome plugin is a little clunky. I go back and forth using it sometimes and disabling it for a while sometimes.

Jive Rocks!

I love Jive as a telephony solution. I m never unavailable anymore. It is seamless to our clients even when managing several different lines. Great product, and not only do I recommend it here, but I have also recommended it to friends who are now happy Jive customers too.

Avantages

I love how fully featured the software is, its simplicity and reliability.

Inconvénients

There are so many features it is simple to outthink yourself sometimes and make your all flows more complicated than they need to be. I do wish it integrated into our marketing automation software/CRM. Not really their fault, but would be nice not to manually log call anymore.

Great VoIP service with just a few tiny kinks that could be worked out!

Overall I'm happy we switched from a landline system to Jive VoIP. Great phone quality, decent customer service. I'd recommend it!

Avantages

It's super easy to use. Onboarding was easy (at first the rep wouldn't contact us and we had to chase someone down to help with onboarding), but overall they are kind and try to assist. Everyone on the phones seems very in-tune with the online system for setup and programming. Very little downtime (if ever--it has yet to go down since we signed up which was many many months ago), and voice quality is great.

Inconvénients

There are a LOT of "incompatible routers", which is difficult because our router is provided by Comcast and is for business use. If they have so many incompatible routers, I wish they'd provide a list of compatible ones (there isn't one--except for a bunch that Jive sells on their end that is impossible to get quickly). Customer service, though helpful, often times requires a "ticket" and then takes a long time to get back to us.

Great Customer Support

I have been able to save time with the click to dial feature. Also, when I have called customer support, for the most part they were knowledgeable on what I was needing, and always super friendly.

Avantages

The best thing I have found with this is being able to click on a number on my computer and it dials to my phone. It saves time and the frustration of accidentally dialing the wrong numbers.

Inconvénients

I haven't experienced any real cons with the software yet.

GoTo Connect - as part of the GoTo suite works really well

Avantages

We use the VoIP services for our main telephony system including automatically having calls come through on mobile devices, which has been great in the pandemic and allows everybody to work from anywhere but still be contactable.

Inconvénients

The mobile app isn't always the most reliable and we've had a few technical issues on our network but nothing too major.

A Really Effortless Collaborating Tool

Avantages

GoTo Connect works excellently from wherever my teammates are residing. Moreover, this remarkable software is exceedingly effortless to set up and operate. Also, I love that I can seamlessly design custom call routing. I can join numerous essential meetings and calls from my office computer, or through my smartphone.

Inconvénients

If the internet connection is slow, pick-up calls become actually frustrating. GoToConnect definitely requires substantially high-speed internet so that attending a call is smooth. This is the utmost dislike of GoToMeeting.

Happy with service, but could easily be even better

As with any VOIP, lots of customizing is possible.

Avantages

Setup had plenty of customization ability and is very user friendly. Never had a downtime issue.

Inconvénients

We switched to enable couch to call from the web as well as tight integration with Redtail CRM (our CRM software). Click to call mostly works though it looks out fairly often. Redtail integration works great when it works, though it rarely works.

Great mobile call center solution

Avantages

I have used this software to access my work phone from a remote location. This is very helpful for working remote, making it so you can call customers from your work number while using your cell phone.

Inconvénients

I haven't used the video conferencing feature as I believe other solutions are more suited for that.

Love Jive!!

overall we are satisfied, however if the contact center doesn't allow us to be able to have agents log in independently from the device for desk sharing we may be looking at alternate options. (jive Web has a do not disturb feature that we are not able to disable, so therefore we cant use bcz we cant see if agents are on do not disturb)

Avantages

love that its web based, full access to the PBX where I can control call routing at a minutes time. Reporting easy to access. Jive app allows me to take phone calls from anywhere.

Inconvénients

Contact center needs developing it is not agent centric at all. It is queue centric, it is missing visibility into what the agent is doing. individual log ins are not available so for a call center that share desk this is not a good product as the data is all geared to the device and not the user. Call centers usually share seats, so this is a major fail. Also there is no visibility into agent status, outbound calls are not identified so you see "idle for an agent " when in fact they are on an outbound call.

For small business works great

Avantages

I had Grasshopper and moved to Jive and have been happy. Customer service is very good

Inconvénients

the fax mechanism is a little clunky having to have a special email address and code but that's no big deal and easy to overcome

Jive is toos

Overall, they are a good company to work with. If I was to compare them to other VoIP host, they are the best but is that good enough. Customers are extremely demanding and being the best of a subpar service industry is not tolerated. They should support their partners almore when it comes to failures on their part. Be proactive in testing and implementation, not reactive.

Avantages

Jive has made the implementation of their services very smooth. The phone Retal is extremely user friendly for both the customer and the partner.

Inconvénients

Jive has dropped the ball on intergrating with non-VoIP compatible systems such as access controls. They have made improvements with this but it’s still a point of frustration. Jive also commits to supporting older VoIP equipment but in the end are unable to do so on some models. I would suggest they thoroughly test before committing to supporting it.

Not disappointed, but a little let down...I chose to switch from Jive

Avantages

Customer service was great. The system was very easy to use, once you get used to it. At first seemed like a great value for the money.

Inconvénients

I was a little mislead/uninformed. I only need the one line, but I did want a desktop phone and the app on my cell phone. I ordered/bought a new desktop phone from Jive just a few weeks after starting my service with them. I was not informed that i was going to be charged a fee for an additional line just because i wanted a desktop phone. The features and functionality from Jive is lacking and well....behind. For about some dollars more a month i switched to RingCentral and i have to app installed on my desktop. I have to app installed on my cell phone. I was able to switch the desktop phone over to RingCentral. I have SO many more features with RingCentral than I did with Jive for some more dollars a month.

I have had a fantastic experience with Jive from onboarding to support to expansion! Always...

Ease of use. Administration. Consistent constant uptime.

Avantages

I can configure everything I need to from my administration portal. I need to rely on support for very little unless I want to.

Inconvénients

I don't fully understand the terminology that's used. I do my Google searches to learn, but it would also be helpful to have definitions for lay people on every page as well as tips and guidance.

Solid VOIP System

My experience with Jive was a pleasant one. At the time it was a significant upgrade from our old system and is certainly an adequate solution for a small office with a VOIP need.

Avantages

At the time that our firm made the switch to this system it was a major improvement to our old phone system. For the first time we were able to have custom call handling rules, we could assign temporary voicemails without terminating the standard voicemail, and we had the visibility to see if other team members were on the phone from our own desks.

Inconvénients

What I have learned since moving on to a different software is that competitors allow much more customization in the dial plan, address book, e-faxing, and vacation planning. While this system is perfectly adequate for a home office or simple office, it is not conducive to a large network of employees.

Connect center is great for admins

Great for monitoring

I really liked the ability to check total calls as well as the monitoring in the que. It is great to be able to see who is on a call and who is next up.

Inconvénients

Only issue is having to switch between views to see the different ques in the way I wanted

Jive Communications positive experience

Avantages

Jive did a great job of incentivizing making the change to VoIP with a great deal on the equipment needed to get started. They managed the set up process well and the customer support was excellent. Love the Management panel for building out answering queues, ring groups and auto attendants.

Inconvénients

The Fax interface is not robust and is prone to crashing and needing to power cycle. We have had some marginal problems with quality from time to time and we did need to change our Router to a more expensive router to handle the phones. That was not clear from the beginning.

Jive is a great price with all features needed

Overall, we've now been able to do tonnes of calls, outgoing and incoming since we went with jive. It helps grow our business. Access is available on the phone, computer or any other device.

Avantages

I like that jive is really cost effective yet gives access to all their features. It allows me to do everything i need to do, with alot of minutes within the plan.

Very bad experience

Our company was a partner with Jive by LogMeIn for a year. We used them for VOIP services not only for our company but for several others. Our experience with Jive by LogMeIn was horrible across the board. The VOIP service and call quality were NEVER GOOD, the App NEVER WORKED, and their CUSTOMER SERVICE was a NIGHTMARE! Our company canceled services in October, and we are still receiving invoices 4 months later for services no longer wanted or provided. We have reached out to countless Jive by LogMeIn representatives to remove/cancel our account and we only get a response with another invoice. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICES!

Avantages

Call mapping is nicely laid out. The video training was done professionally and was well organized.

Inconvénients

It never worked! The call quality was terrible even at Jive home office when you called them from a cell network.
