Get your Jive on!

Overall Jive has been great! The customer service and support department are very thorough and helpful and have always been able to address questions in a timely manner. The knowledge base has many great articles on the basics for setting up customization, but if there is anything above our scope of knowledge Jive is always there to help!.

Avantages

The software is easy to use and was fairly easy to set up. There are many customization features such as voicemail, dial plans (phone trees), conference calling, and more that make this software a great addition to our company.

Inconvénients

There are a few tweaks that could be made in regards to where you locate certain things. I do find sometimes I am jumping through Extensions, Dial Plans, Users, Devices to find all the necessary settings required.

Great phone solution!

With prior phone systems...every thing took months to accomplish, additional charges were added for simple items and the overall all cost were outrageous. Changing to Jive saved us $1000's per month! Jive's programming is simple, I can make changes, add lines, reprogram call paths within a few minutes. Jive is definitely worth the cost.

Avantages

Easy to set-up, make changes and use. Jive customer service is quick to resolve issues and great with follow-up. Product value is great for the cost.

Inconvénients

Loved the chat line but now it has been removed. Chat line saved me the "hold time on calls" and generally my questions are easily resolved. While i can accomplish the same with a call, the calls just take longer for a resolution. Would like more functionality with reporting.

Jive is great!

Avantages

Jive is easy to use. There is an app that is super helpful especially for people working from home. The online system is very intuitive. Customer service is AMAZING! Our phone systems always work and having Jive means there is one less thing to worry about!

Inconvénients

I wish they had more hold music options, although I believe there is an option to upload your own.

Jive Communication

Our overall experience with Jive Voice has been clean and we are pleased that this was the one we chose.

Avantages

Jive Communication is one of the easiest communication software that I have seen. It is easy to login and make any changes that is necessary.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it is a little bit difficult to navigate and figure out where some of the changes that might need to be made can be found.

Its not that bad - Could be better

Its ok

Avantages

Its pretty easy to use. We use it daily for work and its pretty self-explanitory

Inconvénients

For some reason calls drop, sometimes the person on the other line cannot hear us. We have a main line and a personal extension. I wish Jive would let us know which line is ringing.

My Opinions about Jive

All very positive. I love that you are open to ideas via [email protected], and I've seen them take place which shows a commitment to listening. The system has been very stable. My Channel Manager is VERY responsive and goes above and beyond to help. All in all, Jive is an easy company to work with, the product performs well and it is very stable.

Avantages

Easy and robust administrator interface.

Inconvénients

I was the one that submitted the request for a phone directory capability. I would love it if the resulting report was in a spreadsheet, rather than a PDF, so it would be easier to edit and have control over the formatting.

My company's experience with jive so far has been a great experience

Avantages

What we like most is ease of use, customer support is very easy to get a hold of and it allows you to easily transfer all calls to personal phone when you are out of the office.

Inconvénients

It is a little pricier than most other companies but they work well with our IT department to get any issues we may have sorted out so it balances out the cost.

Overall Positive Experience

Avantages

The phone and service I use helps me on a daily basis be very efficient with clients and colleagues.

Inconvénients

Getting the ball rolling with customer service can be a bit cumbersome at points. It took a while for them to identify me and initially help with the problem.

Jive Review

Overall, we have been very pleased with Jive. I have had very few problems and found the system and customer service to be very helpful.

Avantages

I love the usability of the software and how the interface is easily accessible. It makes quick changes much easier and allows us to have access to our account.

Inconvénients

I wish that there was an option in the dial plan to have a split call that allows for whoever answers to be the one it goes to. So that when someone is trying to get in contact with someone it rings multiple lines simultaneously and whoever picks up first is the one it goes to. This would be very helpful to us and our dial plans.

It has been satisfactory.

I am able to work out of the office and still receive and transfer my calls.

Avantages

I like that I can connect it to my cell phone and use it outside of the office. It is pretty user friendly and easy to change settings and figure out. I like that it isn't too hard to set up voicemails and different options for call transfers on the computer. I do also like the faxing feature, that has worked for me pretty well and haven't had any issues with it so far. The service when my phone is messing up is very proactive and attentive.

Inconvénients

Transferring calls could be a little easier. It would be nice to have different options on the phone when working on transferring a calls that are obvious to see. There are also times when static is very prominent on calls but it changes from line to line. It would be nice to see all call that have been placed when scrolling down instead of just missed calls. I feel like I have to jump around the phone a little bit when I am just looking for the last call that came in.

Good VoIP provider for SMB

Overall, the software and phone system is a good VoIP solution. The cost and features are similar to the competition. Phone costs are definitely a win with Jive.

Avantages

Customer Support, visibility in to the usage via the dashboard, and PBX Administration.

Inconvénients

The configuration is clunky at times. There are certain features available on the handsets that cannot be controlled through the software. There are several work arounds for features. Best to call in to support for those.

Great voice system that handles our whole office's phone communications

The ability to seemlessly onboard new employees with phone services at the click of a button!

Avantages

The ability to add new phone numbers at will and expedite our onboarding process within the office, or with our remote employees!

Inconvénients

Sometimes the system goes down and no phone calls can be made, but that is the nature of this type of voice system.

Pretty Good

Avantages

We used a different VOIP service before and the service kept on going out, but, with Jive, the service has been flawless. Whatever you need to add to your phones or change, they seem to have something to accommodate your request, or they make some changes in their system in order to add the feature that you asked for. Great customer service (once you get to speak with someone).

Inconvénients

- Make it either voicemail by phone or voicemail via email. Getting it both ways is cumbersome.
- The wait time is really bad.

Reliable and affordable full feature VOIP system

Avantages

The admin administration tool makes it easy to update and manage the phones, and the initial deployment was very smooth, just had to plug them in and since they were preconfigured they were ready to go. Other than that they are worry free they just work, which is what you want in a phone system.

Inconvénients

I would say the only thing that isn't optimal is on the Jive mobile app it keeps getting singed out when you turn off your phone or let it go to sleep overnight. That means if you are expecting a call do come to your cell phone via the Jive mobile app you may miss the call if you are not logged into the app software.

Jive gave us everything we were looking for at half the cost we paid before!

The biggest benefits we received immediately were improved call quality (almost no static or dropped calls, which we were experiencing regularly with our prior VoIP provider) and also reduced cost. Jive saves us about 50% per month! We are very pleased.

Avantages

It's simple. The setup of dial plans are click and drag, which make them easy to visualize and the clean look of the overall marketing aligns with how up-to-date we have found the features to bee.

Inconvénients

Wish there were a way to setup multiple dial plans that would automatically go into effect upon meeting certain criteria (i.e. on a holiday, activate the Holiday plan). We also would like the office chat feature to allow you to see when other users were on a call, away from desk, etc. These are really just features which would enhance an already good product, not must-haves that cause us regular dissatisfaction.

Jive Review

For the most part is has been good, it has been nice to be able to use our cell phones, desk phones, and soft phones. It makes it really easy to be able to business from anywhere which is exactly what we were looking for. It's also great to have transparency in pricing, where we don't get charged extra for using our cell phones. This is key as we may not always be in the office, but it is great to be able to be available from anywhere.

Avantages

Flexibility - our office is not one location, we have many offices and it now makes it easy to work anywhere with Jive.

Inconvénients

I don't like how you have to change the plans through dial plan. Previously we used RingCentral and if we needed to change the call forwarding, their system was very easy to do that. It could all be done through the schedules, which makes more sense in routing, rather than having to go through the dial plan. I feel like it's a bit more complicated.

Great for all budgets!

As a new business owner I needed to keep things small and within my budget. Jive solved those problems and is very affordable. Anytime I have a question I can call and they will help me out. They treat me with respect and I will gladly keep paying for their services.

Avantages

I love the fact that I can answer calls anywhere and I can text clients back and forth without giving my personal cell phone number. I can update my voicemail when the office is closed for a holiday.

Inconvénients

I wish my clients could send pictures within the text.

Simple nearly fool proof IP phone systems

Avantages

The ease of use! In the industry I belong to, there can be a bit of turnover, and the user friendly interface is just the best for updating contacts, either on the site or our devices.

Inconvénients

There really arent any... If anything, sometimes there is a delay when moving hardware around, and rebooting devices.

Everytime I contact support they are extremely helpful. Usually the issue is resolved with the 1st call. If its not, its because there is something to do on my end.

Avantages

I usually call customer support when I need assistance. I rarely login to the portal.

Okay ISP phone System

Avantages

being able to use from a web browser, being able to use from almost anywhere

A Scalable Voice Solution at Afforable Price

The sales, purchase and onboarding processes were delivered an excellent experience for me. When I called for support on a particular “how to” question, the support folks lack knowledge on what should have been a simple answer. I have found I have to advocate for myself rather than feeling that the support person is advocating for me. I had to go to another source to obtain answers. Overall, I am happy with the experience with the people and the products.

Avantages

The dashboard is mostly intuitive and was well introduced in the sales and purchase process. Can appear to be a larger enterprise with a very low investment.

Inconvénients

I have no cons to report regarding the software.

We appreciate the customer service. Plenty of follow-up and reps help walk thru any steps.

Avantages

We like the scalability of the software. Meaning, we can open new location(s) and simply plug in the phones and we're ready to go live. We also like the dial plan creation tool as well. Please add a print function for the dial plan.

Inconvénients

Jive voice needs better solution for paging. We've had issues since day 1 with paging options. The mobile app also has several glitches such as freezing and portrait view only. Also, a cleaner PBX admin dashboard would help. For example, it can be confusing updating extensions and usernames due to several interconnected options (users vs devices vs lines). The voicemail options are confusing as well.

My Review

My overall experience would be that I like the fact that If I need help Jive customer service is always there to help me. I never feel that I am bothering them, Jive customer service really makes me feel at ease. I also like the fact that customer service takes the time to train me over the phone until I get it. I really appreciate the effort, the follow up emails and just overall the experience.

Avantages

My most favorite part of this software is being able to access the portal and make quick and easy changes myself. It's very simple to learn. This saves me so much time. I'm so grateful Jive has a portal login for users.

Inconvénients

When I am logged into my admin portal and click on the dial plan, getting the lines to move from section to section can be a pain. It takes me a while for the line to go where I need it to go. For example. If I'm wanting the schedule box to play a new sound clip when it's a holiday, the line or arrow needs to go from the schedule box to the sound clip box. Getting that line to stay without to giving me a hard time would help the process a lot easier.

Amazing interface

We use both Jive Sip trunks on a Panasonic Communication Server and remote handsets with Jive. It is fully integrated and works great. Very flexible and full of features. Tech support is fantastic and follows up after the fact to make sure all is well.

Avantages

Ease of use. Dial plans that give you full control of callers even in the event of losing your internet connection. No hidden costs and quick turn around time when adding new sets.

Inconvénients

I can't think of anything off hand. You would have to dig to find something as it is well thought out.

One happy customer

Avantages

The equipment and service is great. The dashboard is user friendly. Customer service was very prompt and helpful with the setup.

Inconvénients

Troubleshooting and setting up the plan and phones was a bit troublesome. Definitely not a system for my 72 yr old computer challenged co-worker.

Clunky, unreliable and the customer service doesn't exist

We wouldn't recommend in their current state

Avantages

Its a great idea if it worked but the amount of times it cuts out is embarrassing and I prefer to use my mobile which isn't ideal.

Inconvénients

The connection drops out all the time. Whether I am on wifi or using my own data, it can be a "good connection" one minute and drop out the next. We are currently going through the ombudsmen to get out of our contract because the customer service and the lack of support is substandard for a business.

Cost savings, ease of use and great support.

Avantages

Very easy and intuitive interface to set up dial plans, route calls, etc. We're able to switch our dial plan and extensions to our mobile phones, which is very beneficial to our traveling sales reps.

Inconvénients

Somewhat cumbersome to switch between dial plans. It'd be great if there was a schedule that we could have it switch over automatically on holidays, etc.

jive's Review

I use Jive for work and it works through our internet connection so I can continue my work without having to worry about missing calls.

Avantages

I like that you don't have to download any software. It is easy to use and very intuitive.

Inconvénients

The one downside that I can think of is that you always need to keep a browser tab open for it to work. That is the only caveat of not having to download any software.

You do need to keep logging in and out of the call queue when you leave and return to your desk. It is not a huge inconvenience but it would be nice to have a toggle switch do the job if that is possible.

Great program -- easy to use.

It works beautifully in the background.

Avantages

We found that the value for the money is clear. Once it is completely set up it works seamlessly.

Inconvénients

It is not as intuitive as I would like. We only make small changes occasionally, and we go back in, the re-learning curve is great.

Jive is user friendly. Overall cost is good as well.

Avantages

Jive is easy to manuever around the applicable. If there is a problem, I can usually get help from the support team. I like how the features are easy to get to.

Inconvénients

I did experience some lose in the system. I always hate that since it happens when I actualy need it.

The GoTo For Telephony

Avantages

The softphone functionality comes in handy when on the go and the navigation is pretty simple.

Inconvénients

Changes that were made to the PBX can be somewhat frustrating, but still a good overall PBX.

Incredible Business Decision

We are a two-person business and we rely on VoIP and digital fax services. Jive makes the workload much more manageable without having to worry about being nickel-and-dimed.

Avantages

Jive offers an extended list of features for an all-inclusive price that puts its competitors to shame. On top of that Jive has the most committed and helpful technical and sales support teams I have ever encountered. The admin interface is pleasing visually and functions in a user-friendly manner.

Inconvénients

Jive Web and Jive Mobile still have some bugs to work out leaving some gaps in on-the-go workflow.

Great Company to Work With

We now have more control over our schedule than with our previous provider.

Avantages

Their customer service is great, the service they provide is very stable and easy to use and the user interface for the portal is extremely user friendly.

Inconvénients

The only "hard" part about using this software was setting it up, but that's because we didn't have experience changing service providers. Jive was extremely helpful and made the process really easy.

Easy to use VOIP flexible system

We found this system when we were looking for a new phone vendor last year. We like the phones we get through them, and they are very constructive and helpful when we're trying to solve issues (like adding new clients and new phone trees). They work to make sure our IT person understands what's available so he can administer most of it for us. When the power is out or something happens and we need to switch trees they do it for us on the fly (usually 2-5 minutes).

Avantages

This is SO easy to setup and administer. We can build different phone trees for different clients or different needs and implement those as we need to. Customer Service is very nice and quick--they fix most things on the fly.

Inconvénients

We can't set up different ring tones for different companies, but so far that's been the primary "con." The system is easy to use and Customer Service is great.

Great value for money

Jive voice takes care of all of our phone management needs. Customer service is fantastic!!

Avantages

Makes it very easy to manage our phone system; I can easily add and delete users

Inconvénients

Not compatible with all browsers. But works with the browser we commonly use so no problem really.

BEST VOIP SYSYTEM EVER

I HAVE MANGE TO COMPILE 8 -10 VERY BUSY TAX OFFICES PHONES TO MY GENERAL CALL CENTER LOCATION AND STILL GIVE THE CLIENTS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AS IF WE WERE IN THE ACTUAL TAX OFFICE.

Avantages

I LIKE THE EASE OF THE SYSTEM, THAT I AM ABLE TO MANAGE SEVERAL DIFFERENT LOCATIONS AT THE SAME TIME. USE OF A GENERAL VM ON OFF SEASON. THE LIST CAN GO ON AND ON. I CAN MANAGE EVERYTHING FROM ANY LOCATION.

Inconvénients

NO CONS. I HAVE NO COMPAINTS ABOUT THIS SYSTEM. THERE IS STILL SO MUCH TO LEARN

4th phone service in 3 years

The customer service is good. They will get you the help you need to get the software and phones working correctly

Avantages

The pricing of the service is better than what we came from.

Inconvénients

The software is more of an app and can be difficult to navigate. Seems that it is a bit cumbersome. Don't have to use the software too much once your system is set up.

Customer Support

Avantages

Simplicity and ease to reach a customer support technician. They are willing to assist with walking a customer through the dial plan options, cleaning up, and setting up a new dial plan.

Inconvénients

Difficulty in setting up holiday dial plan options on my own.

Ease of use

We use JiveVoice at the office for our phone system. Customer service is always prompt and helpful.

Avantages

Jive Voice is easy to use and came with instructions to start and all needed equipment was shipped and easy to install.

Inconvénients

We really have none at this time. We have had a great experince so far with our phone system and will be adding another line shortly.

Overall phones

They have several options to utilize with voice mails.

Avantages

Every time that I call someone is always able to help me with my dial plan, its nice they can remote in and take over and make changes for us.

Inconvénients

The dial plan can be a bit confusing / overwhelming.

In Support of

In general we have had a good experience with Jive Voice. The customer support is timely and they understand what to do.

Avantages

Once you learn the product, it is very easy to use.

Inconvénients

As with any software, the more features present, the harder it becomes to utilize things well.

Recommend

I would not say we are solving per say a problem. But the support and software has been great.

Avantages

Love that you can use it on your phone via the app, just as if you would be in the office. Also, customer support is pretty amazing. They have always solved my problems.

Inconvénients

It is tough to find where what is in the admin portal. There is a lot of options, so it takes a while going through it all. I personally do not use it often enough to be really familiar.

Excellent Way to Port Business Line to Cell Phone

Avantages

Easy to use app that allows you to receive your business line ported to your cell phone for calls. Would highly recommend so employees do not need to use their cell phones.

Inconvénients

There are some restrictions for setting up main line numbers and how many people can receive the calls.

JIVE a Non-profits friend

Very helpful overall. We have a multi-site location but minimal staff and we like keep original phone numbers that people have known for years but centralizing them to one phone. Ease of use for cell phone app allows us to always be "in" the office.

JIVE is able to customized to our needs to allow us to most with out a lot of expense

Inconvénients

The web portal can be a little tricky to navigate. They update items that make it harder to find when I return

Pretty good phone service, some annoyances

Avantages

I like the dashboard and it's easy to change things with your phone system

Inconvénients

I seem to get a bunch of spam calls, which isn't a huge deal, but when they leave the max 10 min voicemail, I get charged for those 10 minutes. Drives me crazy.
