Bigtime is working great for our Firm

We just implemented Bigtime on February 1st, 2024. So far our experience has been great. Implementation was smooth and we received good support from our implementation manager, [sensitive content hidden]. Having been live for 6 months we are seeing the benefits and tweaking our setup and reports to get the best out of the product.

Avantages

Customization of reports, ease of setting up projects and invoicing. Getting data out of the system for analysis and firm health is very accessible.

Inconvénients

I really wish the Dashboards were more customizable. At this point they aren't giving us the snapshot we need for our firm.

BigTime is the best!

Working with BigTime has been great and I am looking forward to continue our partnership.

Avantages

BigTime's features make it super easy to track budget to actuals and get vital reports out to managers. Additionally, their customer service is great!

Inconvénients

Once in a blue moon, I encounter bugs in the system. However, none large enough to impede on my firm's workflow.

Excellent PSA tool, offers good return on investment.

Employee log and time allocation tracker

It allows our company to see if we are properly allocation our resources to all our clients. We also are able to detect if we are over staffing our projects.

Avantages

We use Big Time to properly track how much time each employee have devoted to a certain project on a daily basis. In this method, we know how we can bill our clients, and how we can properly allocate our resources.

Inconvénients

An error may occur sometimes when submit your time logs. It sometime duplicates the times you have worked on a certain task. The workaround is that you have to make sure that your total time is equivalent to the actual time you have worked. Nonetheless, the admins can clear the incorrect entries if you have submitted it by error.

I have not had a good experience with Big Time

Avantages

It's quick and snappy to use for the most part. It doesn't take me long to fill out my time sheets.

Inconvénients

The interface is antiquated and clunky. When submitting time sheets is asynchronous, but it doesn't communicate well if something is rejected so I often think I've submitted a timesheet only to find out later it has been rejected. From and end-user perspective it's hard to understand and use.

Superb application for people who want professional automated environment.

Pretty easy

It makes is very easy for me to access the info I need to complete my HR tasks.

Avantages

Easy to use, run the reports once you get them to generate the info you need, easy registrations and submission.

Inconvénients

The data behind what you see is a little difficult and I wish they had webinars and other help pages for the users. The reports are a little difficult to set up but once you have it, it's very easy to use.

Perfect tool for keeping your timesheet

Timesheet is super easy to track because of this software! You can input decimal points, you can always go back and edit if you haven't submitted it.

Avantages

This is an excellent tool for keeping a record of your workflow and time in motion. Super easy to understand and can be accessed even outside the office. Once I forgot to submit my timesheet, but I didn't have to worry since I can send it at home without installing any apps (but just fyi, there is an available app you can install, which is very awesome!)

Inconvénients

There's one or two times that happened, there was a double entry of an activity that I didn't do. I think it was a glitch, but I think they already fixed it. So no more complains.

BigTime - The Good The Bad and The Ugly

On the phone the service department is respectful and helpful, but the problems rarely get resolved. We're told they'll get back to us but it never happens. We just find 'workarounds" or abandon whatever it is we were trying to do in BigTime.

Avantages

Very user-friendly, easy to jump right in.

Inconvénients

Most of the data I need to pull can't be on one report; I have to pull multiple reports and merge them in Excel. This often causes issues with data alignment, etc.

Track every minute spent on projects

I like using it because it is user-friendly especially when you get the hang of it.

Avantages

I like using this software because it enables the user to track the minutes/hours that they spent on their task/projects. This is especially applicable for recruiters that handle different projects in a week. What I also like is that you can also access the web on a mobile phone or tablet

Inconvénients

There was a time that once you have submitted the report and review it. They are some glitches with double entries. But it was already been resolved and handled. Nothing serious and cannot be handled.

Project budget & time management tool

Very easy to learn and integrate on a small or large scale.

BigTime is an excellent software for providing real-time billing and time management reports to ensure a project is on budget and resourced properly. The online and app version functionality make it easy for all employees to maximize the use of this tool.

Inconvénients

We have used BigTime for about 3 years as a company. I find it is very easy to use and manage. No complaints.

Long time users. Software works will and employees like it

Chance to comment directly to the company

Avantages

Easy to understand for the end user and easy to administer. Sync function works as designed and interface has improved with phone app and new version.

Inconvénients

Missing one feature - Let the admins setup and apply Holiday defaults to employee timesheets. This would eliminate a lot of issues that come up every pay period that includes a Holiday .
For example, employees inadvertantly use a regular work code for a Holiday or they manage to use the Holiday code for the entire work week. If it defaulted on the sheets that would eliminate most of this distraction.

Outstanding Customer Service

BigTime helps us maintain time for everyone to bill. Setup is easy to sort for reporting.

Avantages

Software is very user-friendly and easy to learn. Someone is always available to help with questions.

Reporting could use some enhancing. Some numbers come out as dates.

BigTime saves us time & money Big Time

Avantages

This has replaced our time and billing software. It has changed our entire front office and streamlined our administrative assistants work.

Inconvénients

There is a bit of a learning curve but, nothing we can't overcome.

I was unable to report on the connection between task and the corresponding QuickBooks item...

Time entry and project tracking. BTW, CSR was awesome! She is the first one to actually respond to an email with an actual solution. Better keep her!

Avantages

Time tracking and the first level of project set up is good. It is fairly easy to work with once you take into account the cons below.

Inconvénients

Lack of field name consistency is a huge issue. It makes it hard to do reporting. The same information has multiple field names so you have to test everything over and over to get the right data point. Also, you lack customized calculation fields - that is a major issue with the software. Any user should be able to create a custom calculated field for measurements.

BigTime review

Avantages

A software that is easy to master and allows you to know more about the management of your business projects, with a perfect customization and also BigTime allows you to send invoices. The integration with Quickbooks is very useful for us

An easy to use tool that helps our management team to track time spent per process.

Easy tracking and reporting of the time spent by the employees on each project/client/process that we have. It's a helpful tool on maximizing resources by being able to have an accurate billing report to the client.

Avantages

A quick and easy to use time and billing software. I can add up our projects and straight away key in time spent on each client/process. This helps our management team track allocation per process/client that we have on a weekly basis. It helps the user easily tracks and exports data from the system as well. Another good thing is that it is customizable!

Inconvénients

Permission groups are sometimes dependent, where it allows others to access certain features to be able to work on some other features. When one forgets to save/sync entries data are lost.

Taking our billing and time capture to next level

Saved time, better reporting

Avantages

Cloud based and integrates with Quick Books desktop. Easy for users to begin using with our much support from our back office. Many short videos with instructions on how to use. I like that the invoices are now one document with receipts included if needed to submit to clients. AT a glance you can see how profitable a job.
Lots of reporting possibilities, I am new user still learning how to use all the reporting options.

Inconvénients

Setup was a difficult due to no real process suggestions such as step 1 - 10 ect.
I hope BT includes for future users more standardized set up process.

Fantastic Implementation and Support Team

Outstanding experience and product!

Avantages

The user friendliness of this software is great. The implementation team is absolutely top notch and made understanding the use of the software simple!

Inconvénients

We have a complex billing structure, so customizing rates, mark-ups, etc was not as easy to accomplish without the help us the implementation team.

Save Time on Logging Time

It is pretty painless weekly experience.

Avantages

It has a great UI, is intuitive and quick, is semi-customizable (met most needs without requiring any, though), and does what it was built to do very well.

Inconvénients

Logging time, by design, is a monotonous part of every consulting job. It is tedious administrative "extra" work that needs to be done after the 'real' work is completed. So by design I do not enjoy logging time on a weekly basis. That being said, that is not a fault of the product, which accomplishes time keeping and time tracking very well. It is just the "cost of doing business".
