Bigtime is working great for our Firm

We just implemented Bigtime on February 1st, 2024. So far our experience has been great. Implementation was smooth and we received good support from our implementation manager, [sensitive content hidden]. Having been live for 6 months we are seeing the benefits and tweaking our setup and reports to get the best out of the product.

Avantages

Customization of reports, ease of setting up projects and invoicing. Getting data out of the system for analysis and firm health is very accessible.

Inconvénients

I really wish the Dashboards were more customizable. At this point they aren't giving us the snapshot we need for our firm.

Mega Cloud PM, EMPSA, and Tasks Management with BigTime

Provision of mega cloud documentation, PM, task and team management. Besides, robust EMPSA services among other services.

Avantages

Online billing and subscription service, proofing and adding due dates on projects and Tasks. Reliable and efficient EMPSA, online PM, and Exclusive QuickBooks integration.

Nothing to raise in this section, it has it all we needed.

Avantages

One of the things I liked most about BigTime was its comprehensive project management features. It offered a wide range of tools and functionalities that allowed me to effectively plan, track, and manage my projects. The ability to set up project timelines, allocate resources, track time and expenses, and generate detailed reports all in one platform was incredibly convenient and efficient. Inconvénients

Solid Platform for Professional Services Organizations

Automating, improving, and reducing time and cost required to process weekly time and expense. Providing reporting and audit-ability across the entire process with a few button clicks vs having to sort through manual data collection templates.

Avantages

Overall, we have been very happy with BigTime and its use in support of our field consultants. Our production implementation went smoothly and their staff provided helpful training and support to assist us with our launch. In addition, we have been very pleased with the configurability of the platform - just about every time we wanted to do something a certain way, for example how we wanted to display the form for our field's timesheet data entry, there was a way to configure the system to our liking.

Also, we have been very impressed with the speed of the system and the design of the user interface. It's very responsive, easy to use, and everything is laid out intuitively. Also, the Reporting module is very comprehensive and it provides a way to pull data just about any which way one could want. BigTime has also been responsive and helpful in helping to support us when certain custom reports were required and we needed some guidance.

Special thanks to both CSRs for their support with our implementation.

Inconvénients

We have no outstanding support tickets currently and we have only seen a few small glitches but once we bring them to the vendors attention there is usually a way to correct it or some type of acceptable workaround. As far as suggested areas we think they can improve upon, one would be having the ability to set up to send specific invoices to multiple customer contacts on the To: line. Another area for improvement is sometimes the bill rate isn’t pulled into the invoicing module consistently so we have to re-enter all the rates in that particular project code.

As far as platform enhancements to make BigTime even better, we have suggested the ability to enhance the Allocations module so a manager can forecast a resource across multiple projects within the same or multiple accounts from the same screen/grid. Today this must be done via clicking into each project in the Project List section which is time consuming and a little clunky. This would be huge for us since we have a number of consultants who work on multiple projects across a given week/month/etc. Another enhancement would be to provide easy-to-pull reports that show a consultants profitability (revenue generated minus cost) across a given date range. This is not currently doable with the platform, but all the data is there since the system maintains both bill rate and cost-level information. We are hoping these items make their way onto the product roadmap here in the relative near future.

Best One Stop Software for all kinds of Management of Projects.

The overall experience is superb and it helps businesses to track the project with its progress report and budget management tool is one of the best.

Avantages

The best thing is that it is a centralized software with many features which covers almost everything needed in project.

It keeps getting better!

I appreciate the live chat feature - support readily available.

Avantages

The ease of the timesheets is huge! Staff don't find it cumbersome. Then we use the timesheet detail report to show work done for the week on projects. This helps the President see where time is spent and then he advises what projects are ready for billing. The invoicing process is smooth as BT already has time spent allocated for the job and we in put and subcontractors and expenses. So all the information is in one place. The invoice can be approved right in BT and then sent to the client. Payments are logged right into BT and the BEST thing is that client/project information, invoices AND payments are ALL synced into Quickbooks. That was the selling feature for us.

Inconvénients

We have just added BigTime Wallet - a feature allowing clients to pay invoices with a credit card or ACH just by using a link. We are just beginning to use it. Today we had some help from [SENSITIVE CONTENT] in figuring it out. I do wish the sales department had gotten us set up with technical support from the get-go. But we are making quick progress, again thanks to [SENSITIVE CONTENT].

Streamlining Professional Services Operations

I'm in QA engineering normally, but I've recently taken part in some internal billing related projects where we've consulted out to other firms. Using this software has really streamlined things for me in a way where project management isn't so daunting anymore. I highly recommend the software and would use it again.

Avantages

This software really is great for project teams that are working in more of a professional services type setting. It really seems to do it all, whether it's time tracking, project management modules, expenses, financials, resource allocation, etc. For me, the resource allocation portion was actually the most impressive (and important) aspect for me, as it allowed me to continue onward with my normal engineering duties while providing professional services support via this software.

Inconvénients

Project management and billing software is not my forte normally, so it took a little bit of time to figure things out, but I eventually really enjoyed using it, so I have nothing I've disliked necessarily.

Best Invoicing Software

Invoicing and Billing is our top priority feature as its was really important for our company as we wanted billing to be fast & easy. So we can share it with our customers very fast and efficiently.

Really Great Software for my day to day!

Avantages

As a startup architectural business, keeping track of billable time on jobs is of utmost importance. I just finished the implementation phase and I am extremely pleased with BigTime and the implementation staff. When making my decision to go with BigTime, I researched various companies. I found BigTime’s fee structure to be welcoming of startup businesses. Once we began the process of implementation, I realized that BigTIme is very robust and that I currently only need a small portion of what the software can do. My contact at BigTime was easy to work with and he let me lead the process and drill down to only what I need and exactly what I need. During one video call my contact invited a BigTime programmer to listen to what I was trying to accomplish. That step made all the difference and I am extremely grateful for the custom reports that were set up for me. It’s a good feeling to know that the fee structure and software capabilities of BigTime are all in place for me to grow my business. Thank you [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and BigTime!

Project Management/Budgeting

As someone who considers themselves tech savy, I am having issues with this software creating more issues than being helpful. The webinars should incorporate more consumer questions or feedback, especially if there are common themes with user questions or issues.

Avantages

BigTime has the potential to be very user friendly, however, there is a learning process. Not everything is the same. For example, when I run one budget report, submitted time is not included, while in another report it is.

Inconvénients

The data does not always auto populate and the software should be able to generate numbers and percents on its own... I should not have to go in and manually input % complete, it should be done on it's on as the team moves forward within the project.

Helpful when you deal with multiple projects a day

Avantages

It helps keep on track of your different projects especially when each are billed separately

Inconvénients

It wasn't as user friendly as I hoped. It took a while for everyone on the team to get trained on how to use it.

Superb application for people who want professional automated environment.

Data Visibility And Project Cost Management

Overall, BigTime has been easy to do business with and the software has optimize our back office. The front end time and expense reporting system allowed us to kill static Excel forms and provide our users with a clean modern interface to start the data entry process.

Avantages

BigTime allowed us to optimize how we track project dollars and hours. In the past we would manually enter the data multiple times to different forms and systems - it was always out of date static information. Now, we enter the data once and have real-time access to project costs and hours. The data flows to invoices, reimbursements, and reports.

Inconvénients

Overall, the software is solid. There are a few navigation workflows that can be improved. BigTime is aware of some click stream patterns that result in getting too deep into a project where you need to click back out to the "home" screen to restart a navigation into a project. This happens more on the administration side - the time and expense entry process is simple.

An Amazing Project and Client Management Tool

Fantastic company to work with.

Our Account Represenative is phenomenal. He is always going the extra mile and is just a genuinely kind person. He also explains these incredibly well and is able to listen intently to our problems.

Great company and great people.

Avantages

Bigtime.net allowed our office to communicate more efficiently and effectively. Gone are the days of "asking if something is done". Instead, we check Bigtime.net to see where a project/slient is being held up.

Inconvénients

Currently, we want a workflow system that will alert individuals when a task is completed. We have Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual tasks that need to be done. The annual task (Annual Tax Return) typically uses Monthly, and Quarterly information. On top of that, a CPA handles the tax return and needs to be alerted when the final monthly accounting has been completed by the accountant.

BigTime adds great value to the entire team, saves admins time, and makes admin work easier.

Avantages

It's very flexible, intuitive, easy to use, contains meaningful set of features that cover all needs and more. The tech support team and how easy it is to access the support team is one of the best I've worked with. Many thanks to the people who set it up this way. If I could rate it with 6 stars, I would.

Inconvénients

As always, there are more features that users could dream of. In my case, I'd like to have an admin control to turn off users ability to enter their hours in some cases.

BigTime - The Good The Bad and The Ugly

On the phone the service department is respectful and helpful, but the problems rarely get resolved. We're told they'll get back to us but it never happens. We just find 'workarounds" or abandon whatever it is we were trying to do in BigTime.

Avantages

Very user-friendly, easy to jump right in.

Inconvénients

Most of the data I need to pull can't be on one report; I have to pull multiple reports and merge them in Excel. This often causes issues with data alignment, etc.

Escelente software para la productividad

Avantages

BigTime es façil de configurar y usar, permite la conexión a QuickBooks para publicar información y permitir la facturación a los clientes. Así mismo, visualizar informes de gastos y recopilar información de los proyectos en una base de datos. Además, cuenta con seguimiento del tiempo que es muy sencillo de controlar.

Inconvénients

Un punto negativo de BigTime es que a veces crea tiempos duplicados. Enviando el doble o el triple en horas de trabajo.

Useless with Quickbooks. SUPPORT inept.

After devoting many hours to BigTime I realized they would NEVER be able to meet our needs. I had paid for a full year and so asked for reimbursement for the remaining time in the contract because BigTime COULD NOT PERFORM. Management denied my request. This is foolish, short sighted management. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Avantages

Customer service was polite and fast , but NEVER SOLVED A SINGLE ISSUE.

Inconvénients

BigTime DID NOT INTERGRATE WELL WITH QUICKBOOKS. Whether we invoiced with QB or BigTime there was always duplicate time. I was contantly merging jobs and zeroing out duplicate invoices. Jobs often posted incorrectly so I couild not get a complete report. SUPPORT repeatly said they were working to solve the issue and would give me a "back door" method which duplicated work. Time did not always get posted so we UNDER INVOICED several jobs. Again SUPPORT WAS UNABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. Entering jobs was laboriously. Certain clients would not accept additional jobs and again SUPPORT WAS UNABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

BigTime saves us time & money Big Time

Avantages

This has replaced our time and billing software. It has changed our entire front office and streamlined our administrative assistants work.

Inconvénients

There is a bit of a learning curve but, nothing we can't overcome.

Great software

It is now super simple to see all of our companies current projects and update statuses in bulk.

Avantages

I love the customization features of BigTime and how simple the layout is. I have also found the live chat function extremely helpful for setting up our software with the help of an agent in real time.

Inconvénients

There could be even more customization options to provide more individualization.
