Vonage, your all in one communications app

Avantages

Vonage business is great in giving one of the best VOIP and Messaging solution to businesses. Very easy set up, affordable rates and best of all one of the most eye pleasing ui's to date. Flexibility is also one of it's biggest strengths, allowing users to use it on mobile and web.

Inconvénients

There is really nothing not to like about this software at the moment.

Reliable VoIP Phone Systems

Avantages

We used Vonage for 3 years for our small business customer support call center before we were acquired. It was simple to set up and manage. We rarely had issues with our phones. Easy to use and reliable phone systems!

Inconvénients

There was nothing I did not like about Vonage. It worked well for our small business customer support call center.

Vonage Review

Vonage has been very useful for calling

Never Use This

As mentioned above, it is just not a very good software for the money. It has allowed my team to work remotely, but I don't see this as a viable business solution.

Avantages

It's VOIP, so if you have employees that work remotely, this is a valuable tool.

Inconvénients

Vonage Business VOIP is not very user friendly, the calls are often unclear, fuzzy, and the general software must be downloaded to a desktop before it can be used to make calls. Not to mention it is expensive for what you get. It does interface with other software, but calls coming in make sounds while you are on an existing call. It gives businesses a general not-so-professional feel.

Business Calling and Texting made easy

Avantages

For big companies, this cloud-ware makes it simple to have remote employees.

Inconvénients

I have had numerous issues keeping in control of my seat count. They don't like to make it easy for you to remove users, phone number and other pieces. They make it easy to setup and then a nightmare to blackout. I have used the software and setup with multiple companies I have worked for and the separation phase is difficult and laborious.

Great product, easy to use!

Overall, VBS has great customer service and a product that makes any business, big or small, more productive.

Avantages

I love the integration between the physical phone system and the app on my cell phone. The system is streamlined well, organized and easy to use.

Inconvénients

I haven't been able to find a pair of decent hands-free headphones that work well with the specific phone I use.

Exceptional Tool for Communication

I am very satisfied with Vonage Business. Exceptional capabilities for an IP Phone product. Highly recommended!

Avantages

I am currently using Vonage Business as an Offshore Recruiter. I believe the best feature for this VoIP platform is it's crystal clear voice quality. You can never miss a call as your extension can be used in multiple devices. I had it installed on my phone so I can still monitor all calls and texts from my candidates. I love that text messages do not have a character limit. The user interface is also simple and easy to learn. Lastly, it is a big help to see call logs and reports so that you will know your productivity each day. These reports can be downloaded and can be forwarded via email.

Inconvénients

I once received a prank call and I tried to block this person's number. To my surprise, I can still receive text messages from him. I do not know if this only applies to calls but I hope they can do it with text messages, too.

Failed promises, misleading and mistruths.

It was a massive disappointment. The salesperson originally promised that they could make the Clio integration work on a test account. When the test account would not work, the sales engineer told the salesperson to make it work but the salesperson wanted to set up a "Proof of Concept" POC at no cost to was because she thought there's a problem with her test account. Then, she presented a POC that would have cost $300 and we would've had to sign a two-year contract. The POC addendum failed to include any guarantee that the integration with our case management software would work. We also asked for a guarantee of portability from our current system (RingCentral) to Vonage but they absolutely refused. They said that they could do it contingent upon us cooperating and RingCentral releasing the previous lines but they wouldn't put it in writing. It would've been devastating to us as a small firm to lose our main number that we have possessed for over 20 years. The whole experience with Vonage was disappointing.

Avantages

The price was right, and it had in integration with our case management software (Clio) but they could never get it to work on the test account.

Inconvénients

The integration with our case management software did not work with a test account platform set up by the salesperson and the salesperson made of lot of false promises.

Great service for VoIP

Avantages

The ability to get multiple phone lines and use on the same high speed internet we already have at a fraction of the cost.

Inconvénients

Nothing with the service it self but since its tied to the internet sometimes the phone quality is not as good.

Vonage for a Small Business, Remote Workers

Our company uses Vonage daily. We are all remote workers, and we can make/answer calls either at our computers or have calls forwarded to our cell phones. This feature is amazing. Voicemail is also accessed via phone or computer. Overall sound quality is excellent.

Avantages

The setup is quite easy, adding users and additional extensions is very easy on the Dashboard. There are lots of features to customize the virtual receptionist and the flow of calls (forwarding, voicemail, how many rings, etc.)

Inconvénients

You are locked in for a year once you setup and pay for an extension. Calls can be a bit laggy (a delay will occur) when calling from my cellphone, but through the computer I don't notice it happening very often. There are lots of other features, but some are add-ons for more money.

Vonage Business - A business worth to do with

Avantages

1. Easy to understand and work with.
2. Cost Effective plans.
3. Features like SimulRing, Three-Way Calling, Voicemail, and Call Forwarding are very elite and helpful
4. Its feature of VOIP( Voice Over Internet Protocol) has given Vonage more arena to blossom and help its customers.
5. It is available on web as well on phone, hence it has extended accessiblity
6. The extensions available in Vonage helps one to take the call and call anyone, anywhere.
7. Calls, if missed, can be seen as the Vonage team sends an email regarding calls and voicemails, so there is no delay
8. The text message feature helps me to connect with everyone in case, they mis calls or are in bad network area.

Inconvénients

Some times, there is an issue for call drop. But it is minimal and happens due to poor internet connections.

Great tool for SMEs with local number, incoming calls and conferencing

I was looking initially for an inbound number for the business, different from my personal mobile number. I looked at virtual numbers, but Vonage, with it's option at just £9/month offered everything plus more. I now have a completely separate work phone system with excellent call management options, and also have Vonage's own version of Zoom included (not fully tested that yet). I think it offers great value and can be upgraded as needed as the company grows.

Avantages

Choice of local number (you end up with two), great app allowing you to use on multiple devices (desktop and mobile), multitude of options for dealing with calls, and conferencing software included.

Inconvénients

Took me a while to set the system up as the dashboard is not the most intuitive, but once I got my head round it, it was very straightforward.

Good alternative to traditional phone service

Overall great, especially with recently added features such as conference calling via video and group text.

Avantages

Mobility is a plus. I am able to operate from a mobile office. The app makes it all super easy. I no longer have to use multiple phones.

Inconvénients

Reception quality relies highly on internet quality and speed. We had to increase our internet to support the number of phones that we had in the office.

Best VOIP service

Avantages

The voice quality is great without any call drops. Works as good as normal phone with text features available. The iOS and Android App works awesome.

Inconvénients

Not more than 3 people can join the conference on a single line.

Good system

Avantages

They have a lot of good features, more than you really need. It's user friendly, no one in the office had any issues using it.

Inconvénients

After setting it up I had to call customer service 8 times before my fax would work. Each time they told me something different and changed the settings. When I told them I was about to cancel they finally had their expert work on it.

Great idea requires improvement

Overall experience is good as the matter of fact we keep using this service. I still recommend using Vonage as it is very helpful for remote business management.

Avantages

I like the idea you can use the online phone number through app and work virtually , even out of the country. It is a perfect solution for working at home business.

Inconvénients

The pros is the online connection but it also can be a cons due to the dependency on the wi-fi connection and it's quality. Sometimes we get updated info on Vonage in a delay (like missing calls and late notifications) and we might miss potential clients.
Text messages can't accept images and it is a huge shortage. I hope Vonage is working on developing this additional feature of allowing sending images and documents over text messages.

Only regret is that we didn't upgrade sooner!

I appreciate the high level of customer service and the responsiveness of the team in general. We decided to move from land lines to VoIP and are very happy that we opted to partner with Vonage for the transition. They have been very patient and helpful along the way.

Avantages

The flexibility of this software is my favorite feature. I mostly work from home, and I can easily make changes for any of our users from the online dashboard, the computer app, or the phone app. The end-users at our office have successfully learned how to navigate the handsets and the online dashboards.

Inconvénients

We are still working on our fax numbers. Porting the number from our previous provider has proven difficult.

Confusing setup and service but good to use

The site is really good and easy to use once you learn it. You can manage it yourself without having to deal with service calls all the time. It is much cheaper than dealing with the phone company or some in house system as well. It is a good service.

Avantages

They built a great site and give you control over everything. I can go in and setup things without relying on customer service for everything which is really nice. Customer service was very friendly and helpful with my questions. The equipment seems good too and at least the same or less cost than phone equipment with other services.

Inconvénients

You have to learn some new terminology and how their system works. I wish they would incorporate definitions into their site to help you understand things better. The initial sign up was also very confusing. I got a lot of emails (too many) and wanting to setup an appointment. The appointment really didn't seem to be setting up my account services to our needs but a general overview of the site.

Great VOIP product with great administrative software

The service works excellent and is a great price. The account administration software is easy to understand and use. THey have made updates to make even easier to use and I like it.

The account administration software is very intuitive and easy to understand. I can do most anything with my account in this software and the changes happen as soon as I hit save

Inconvénients

In the past they have had glitches where my saved recorded voicemail greetings have been lost and I have to re-record them. I wish it would notify you automatically when the message changes so I would know before a customer lets me know.

Vonage

It was very user friendly and I did not require any training. The contacts dictionary was quite helpful and allowed me to add new contacts with no issues unlike zoom.

Avantages

Integration with JobDiva and ability to keep a count of calls made over the period of time. App on phone, computer and connection to Desk phone were seamless.

Inconvénients

The messages did not have the attachment option at the time making it difficult in my line of work where some were comfortable texting documents over.

Great phone system

It has been nothing but positive, it’s simple to use and is very convenient. I will continue to recommend this to friends and business owners

I enjoy this phone system I use it everyday when I call clients. It tracks how long you have been on the call and then allows you to input notes into its system and then it syncs with my salesforce. This makes keeping notes a lot easier

So far I have not found anything I do not like. Having this software makes its simpler to do my job and do it with efficiency

A decent Voip with lots of options (great for small teams)

-It's really easy to use - you can be up and running in no time-The call quality is consistently great, (local/international calls feel the same)-the mobile app is really helpful - It allowed me to take calls and messages on the go The voicemail transcription feature can really save you a lot of time and help you stay on top of your messages

-The pricing can be a bit confusing, with different plans and add-ons to consider-Sometimes there can be a delay or lag during video calls, but it's not a huge issue-The customer support can be hit or miss - sometimes it's great, other times it can take a while to get a response

Excellent Tool

Excellent softaware, highly recommended for an office that is in constant contact with thier patients

It is an integrated platform that allows you to manage calls, voicemail, SMS and faxes all in one place.

Inconvénients

No negative experience with this Software, overall experience has been positive in al the functions.

Daily Use

Avantages

I like that I can control the entire firm in one place.

Inconvénients

It is not really user friendly. I always have a hard time running reports

Excellent for Remote Businesses

I have a company based in the united states but I live abroad. Vonage has made it possible for me to stay in contact with my American clients without them even realizing i'm not in the country.

Avantages

Voice to text feature is very important to me as I'm not always in the correct setting to listen to the messages we receive. It's fairly accurate and only seems to have issues with certain accents. The fair pricing and excellent customer service makes Vonage the choice that you are sure to pic.

Inconvénients

At this pricing and the quality of the service, I have no cons.

Great App and Best Customer service!

As a small business we had the advantage of using features that Vonage provided such as a mobile app and advanced business features, like call transfer and conference calling. In fact, the help and support provided by Vonage during times of trouble through email and phone support was good.

Avantages

Vonage is a great telecoms business and their calling services gives alternatives to both private calling plans and universal telephone plans for our business. This notable assistance gives plans intended to small company entrepreneurs and has very cheap unlimited calls. Their plans are accessible for low, reasonable rates.

Inconvénients

There is nothing major to report, but sometimes, the call quality has been quite low or intermittent.

Small Business VOIP

My experience was just fine, very good actually. No issues just wanted texting. Had to leave for that and the person who had to end service with me thru Vonage was very mean. I dont think I would return based on that.

Vonage is Just Excellent

Great to have Vonage.

Avantages

I have been using Vonage from last 5 years. Its a great think for International calling. The Vonage Mobile Application also do the similar Job. Vonage call quality are really good and the cost of using Vonage is very less. Call forwarding feature really works well. The voice mail are converted into text and sent on your email id is the best feature i like.

Inconvénients

i didn't really found any cons in Vonage, but the application of Vonage of phone something Lag a lot.

Dependable VoIP

Avantages

I liked the fact that as long as we had internet service, I could depend on Vonage without hesitation. Also equally important, there are several features available.

Inconvénients

I didn't like the fact that only an admin could change the password, if needed.

Have two Vonage lines for work purposes.

Avantages

Easy to use right out of the box. All I had to do was set up the box, and plug it in, and everything was working as it should be. Really enjoy the emailed voice mails. No more waiting to get home just to check the voice mail.

Inconvénients

No issues with Vonage. When I first set up my account they assigned my a number that was already in use by another business.. They were very responsive to doing everything they could to fix the problem.

Good system with many features.But lots of small issues that need to be resolved.

There are alot of great features with this solution but some are things we dont need and dont use. Just do your research and make sure its something that you actually need and want to pay for. Also make sure you equipment is compatible with there system so you are not hit with unexpected costs to make your system work like it is supposed to.

Avantages

Lots of good features that allow me to use my business phone anywhere. Even though there were a lot of problems starting our i was always able to get in tough with customer service quickly.

Inconvénients

Lots of things that need to be set up at the beginning of the process. Had lots of issues to start out with most of which were resolved by changing a firewall out that was not compatible with vonage's system. They knew what firewall I had from the beginning took them a month to realize that is was one that does not play well with Vonage's system.

Good Business Phone Company

Overall decent. 8 out of 10

Avantages

Worked like any other business phone company. No big issues.

Inconvénients

Transfering numbers was a pain for certain area codes and locations.

Able to connect VoIP phone system to any internet source

Avantages

Easy to use, easy to setup. The equipment arrived quickly. Mobile app is incredible, works on lte and WiFi.

Inconvénients

I don't really have any cons. Sometimes it takes a while to get with someone in technical support. But that is rare

Works as your business cellphone

Helps to have my business and personal number in just one device

Avantages

It works as your business cellphone but dont need to give you personal number to your customers. Easy to usea and also can get sms.

Inconvénients

Could be better if you can see the name of the person who is calling you on the lock screen. Speaker function does not work if you turn it on outside the app

good.

Avantages

I like the pricing. It really helps for startups.

Inconvénients

It really helps if texting feature with API. we use CEIPAL ats. Integrate Vonage with CEIPAL is really good for bulk texts.

Phones work at the speed of business

Avantages

I really enjoyed the collaboration tools and unified communcations experience.

Inconvénients

early versions were buggy but recently Vonage teamed up with industry leaders to create software that can support an enterprise solution.

Game changer for my business

Avantages

I used to carry two cell phones - one personal and one business. Then I got vonage and now I can answer (or not) business calls from my personal cell. I can also send a patient a quick text if I’m not available to my scheduling webpage. Pro tip: if you have an iPad, you can create keyboard “text replacements” in settings and with a couple of click, you can generate responses to customer calls or texts when you are away from the office.

Inconvénients

Now cons so far. Every once in a blue moon the app will kick me out and want to me renter my password which I can never remember but that’s not their fault!

Vonage Business

I like this product easy to use

Avantages

Vonage is a great product. You can download the app on the ohone and anwer your phone line from your cell phone or when your in the office turn the app on mute so your phone doesn't ring on your cell.

Inconvénients

I haven't had any issue. If you type what you need help with in the search bar it pretty muchs shows you step by step with clicking on it/

Continued to Charge My Card after Porting My Number

I ported my account to another Vonage account 3 billing cycles ago. I requested Vonage cancel my current account. I have contacted them 4 times now and requested a refund for continuing to charge my saved debit card and told them they no longer have authorization to charge it. It has been 2 months and I am still waiting for a refund. If you are looking for VOIP, I suggest using a service that doesn’t require you to give a card to activate your service.
