My Thoughts

My overall experience has been wonderful. I have not found a better program. I think maybe you need to look into adding non-typical words and spellings. It doesn't like some of the spelling I use for my fantasy novel. Such as the word Fae and other mythical creatures.

Great Tool for Extremely Short Texts, Monumental Fail Otherwise

Sharing my two cents about ProWritingAid that I purchased a lifetime licence for: If you're reviewing texts about 300 - 400 words in length at maximum, you'll be happy with the tool. Otherwise, it's not worth the money.

If you need a short-term solution, then by all means go for it but don't pay a buck for actually using the SW. I've been using the Word add-on for over three months now and if you want to use most of the tools on more than 800 words, the tool simply can't handle the 'load.' Usually, it breaks off after a minute or so and you can run the check again which normally doesn't help. You end up wasting a ton of your time and accomplish nothing at all.

While the language advice and the correction improvements you get recommended are helpful, you're better off using Grammarly or another alternative if you're reviewing long chunks of text in one go and don't want to constantly copy-paste from Word to their interface and back which is a pain if you have to do that daily like myself.

My Writing Partner

I've used ProWritingAid for two years and have written two novels using it as my writing partner.

GREAT! Life saver

Exactly what I need, and a little bit more.

So far, I love it as a tool once I'm done writing. I haven't tried using it in real-time writing.

Would not be writing if not for PRW

With English, my fifth language, writing books and doing copy for WEB sites is challenging. I use Word 365 which includes an editor, but I found Pro Writing Aid better. I tried the other Grammarly too but did not like their support. So, PRA for me, anytime, then it got better!

They upgraded it with a few things that I thought would be great and many that I never knew I needed.

So, for me, Pro Writing Aid all the way for authoring my books and copy for my web pages.

I've written three books, numerous articles, and too many emails with the help of ProWritingAid

Helpful, but…

It was useful at first to show me what I tended to do wrong and helped me learn to fix the issues. The reports are hard to understand at first and I ended up really only using about three of them. I did not renew my subscription because of how much it slowed down my ability to write quickly in the few minutes I get between other tasks, and because I felt I’d learned enough not to need it as much.

ProWritingAid Indivitual Lifetime Buyer review

Overall, it is helpful but not the best, and I purchased it assuming it would unlock some exceptional hidden features that are not available in the free version. However, I don't think I noticed any surprising features. But as I have a lifetime membership, I am excited to see upcoming features, which I believe will be available as a lifetime buyer, so I am hoping for the best in the future.
