Does what it should and relatively easy to set up with a little support

Support and experience has been good (although a little challenging at first). Definitely worth putting the time in to get set up properly!

Avantages

It took a while to get this properly set-up so it was working for us and not the other way around. Coming from Salesloft, we were able to set things up in a very similar away. We were able to map the key fields to Salesforce and the automation and rules are flexible enough for it to work well for our team of 10 SDR's.

Inconvénients

Although many fields map to Salesforce, things like "snooze date" and calendar appointment dates don't map over. Although it's not a deal breaker, it means that the SDR team (as well as the SDR manager) have to go back and forth between systems to manage and report on these pieces.

Helps make dials but could be better with syncing to Salesforce

Overall, Outreach is great. Helps keep me organized but again lacks some specs with Salesforce.

Avantages

I love that I can create my own automatic sequences that will send emails and create tasks for me. This helps with me staying on top of a pipeline and closing more sales.

Inconvénients

The cleanliness of Outreach connecting to Salesforce. I wish it was a smoother process and less messy. Too many steps have to be taken to connect the two.

Outreach maximizes the efficiency of our Sales Team and allows us to close more business.

We are able to maximize time and be more efficient as a sales team. We can see what emails work and get responses to replicate across the team. We close more deals!

Avantages

The sequencing is the biggest value-add for us it allows all our leads to be contacted right away with an automatic email. Nurturing old leads is really easy and each rep can easily create and deploy sequences when they are outbounding leads.

Inconvénients

I wish that outreach had a calendar feature that would allow us to use outreach instead of two different software. That would complete the picture for us.

Get your work done with speed.

I love this solution. I love how it gives me a ton of information on how to work and what to work on.

Avantages

I love how this tools helps me know what I should be doing. Its helps my sales process speed up and make its a clear process on what to do. This tool is awesome and give me a way to see also whats needed to get to my goals.

Inconvénients

I think sometimes bugs can take over and makes the tool clunky.

Does everything a sales enablement platform needs to do!

This tool helps the entire sales team save hours of routine work! A competitor, Outplay, is giving a good run for their money and I'm tempted to migrate to save $$$ every month but Outreach is deeply integrated into a lot of our other tools, hence sticking to this tool for a while.

Avantages

Love all the features offered by Outreach - from email personalization to CRM integration to logging phone calls without breaking a sweat.
Quick response from their Customer Support team - even hopped on a call when our issue wasn't resolved.
Documentation is extremely helpful and easy to interpret.

Inconvénients

Their pricing plans seem to be on the higher side compared to the rest of the players.
VOIP functionality is a little buggy, several recordings were affected from our first day.

Great way to scale your efforts

GREAT- So So So useful.

Love the efficiencies that this allows me to leverage. auto sequences, bulk imports, templates and click to calls are all imperative to my role. love it

Inconvénients

Your company can screw this app up by not allowing you to make sequences etc.. im assuming a pricing issue forced us all to have only managers and above create sequences etc...

Great platform for accelerating and automating sales processes

Very happy and allows me to do more of my job in a more streamlined and focused approach. Would happily refer Outreach to anyone looking to streamline their approach.

Avantages

- Much easier to go about your day job and provide you with a single point of access
- Very intuitive and integrations work well
- Best sales platform I've ever used.
- Support are very quick to answer, very helpful and take into account what you're saying - happy to take feature requests too.
- Best practices shared a lot helping make the best of the solution.
- As an outbound calling rep, Sequences are great to ensure you're covering all your territory and providing regular touchpoints

Inconvénients

- Some teething issues with VOIP, but generally works well - support are very quick to answer and helpful.

Thoughts on Outreach

Everyone loves it. Has its issues and limitations but overall great tool. Helps with new people and there outreach generating outreach through automation while revving up. Also helps those more seasoned with being able to focus on top accounts and automating mid market and smb outreach.

Avantages

Great tool for automating outreach oo oddly enough. You're able to set up call and email cadences. Also sequences. Decent at tracking open rates.

Inconvénients

Open rates can give false reads and not always accurate. Wished for more options in populating local numbers. Signature issues

One of the best prospecting tools there will ever be...

Avantages

What I like most about Outreach is the automation piece. And I know they doing more and more to assist in that, like pre-recorded voicemails and things like that (those things may already be in place). It makes prospect outreach 1000x easier, and makes individuals and organizations as a whole more effective because of the automative powers that be.

Inconvénients

I honestly don't have any dislikes. Most every feature that Outreach contains I've used, and it's never frustrated me or given me fits.

Outreach is a great altenative to HubSpot and other CRMs

Outreach is a great tool and although I still personally prefer HubSpot's CRM to Outreach, it is on the right path and with more time and load-time fixes for the clunky interface, it has potential to rival its competitors.

Avantages

Outreach has a lot of potential for being a "newer" CRM on the market. Integrations are quickly updated and added and the customer service is fast & responsive to any issues or questions.

Inconvénients

A couple of problems with outreach - load times (tested with both macbook and powerful desktop PC) are almost always very long.

Best Outreach Tool Available!

Absolutely fantastic, we used to be highly manual and send emails individually. With outreach this has enabled us to triple our output per week.

Avantages

Quickly and easily create a huge amount of sequences to treat prospects differently.
Reporting on the sequences to see which are best.
The ability to set up automatic tasks for highly engaged prospects.

Inconvénients

Can be a little slow to load sometimes and also a bit clunky.
Sometimes you click one thing and it brings up something else, but you can just refresh and this is rare.

Works, but could be better

It was not easy to learn and I am still learning. I wish there were more intuitive icons, tasks, reports, etc. I also wish there was an admin role that was not a salesperson. I would like to be able to manage my team without having to reselect properties every time I visit a new page.

Avantages

it gets the job done. I can import contacts and start communications easily.

Inconvénients

The integration with salesforce is poor at best. The interface is not user-friendly whatsoever. I have a hard time navigating aroud and i have been using the software for over a year.

Saves my sales team so much time!

Outreach was a great purchase for us and we now have the whole marketing team and sales team using it to increase sales.

Avantages

The ability to sequence and track emails has been crucial in out sales process. Setting up sequences is easy and once you have done it a couple times becomes 2nd nature. The time savings is a huge benefit to us.

Inconvénients

It takes a little getting used to you can mess up on the first couple sequences. The email tracking can be better but it is better than other softwares I have tried for that.

Functionality for the Win - with some areas for improvement

Overall, I truly believe that Outreach is a tool that has made it possible for me to be successful as an ADM. It makes my tracking of potential clients very smooth and seamless. I'm sure that I have a lot to learn in the platform, but it has been work-life changing.

Avantages

I love the functionality and the ability to save me time when calling in blocks. The workflow is very intuitive and easy to use.

Inconvénients

I wish there was a way to have more of an account view - meaning we do activities based on a lead/contact but I would like to see activity that has happened aggregated in one central account activity view. While the call through my browser works, I find that I have more call issues when I used that method of calling versus calling from my phone.

It would be great if there were an editable notes section on the Outreach Extension (Google). That way you wouldn't have to manually open up the full CRM to check previous notes.

Wouldn't want to do my job without Outreach!

Outreach has made my sales development life so much easier. I know there are other similar tools available, but from what I hear about them, I'm glad I get to use Outreach.

Avantages

I really enjoy being able to access Outreach in multiple channels--from my inbox, browser tab, or within Salesforce. It makes my life a lot easier.

Inconvénients

An update a few months ago made the process of accessing recorded calls much more difficult to access. They're still there, but you have to go through more steps to review calls.

Outreach has flipped the table

First off, it's incredibly easy to figure out. I'm tech savvy but not many tools are as easy to figure out as Outreach. My previous sales positions were very hard work - lot's of manual work like sending emails, cold calling from lists, manual note taking and cadence tracking. Needless to say, my mind was a bit scrambled when the new boss at my current company started explaining what this platform would do for me (hint, nearly everything). As with any workflow change, it does take some getting used to, but all of the changes are positive. I haven't done the math but this platform has given back so much time in my day and allows me to focus on more meaningful tasks instead of mindlessly sending out templated emails and keeping meticulous manual records of all the calls I make. For those who have read this far, I'm sure you get the point. At the very least go schedule a demo so you can see for yourself, this platform has so much value!

Avantages

How easy to use it is! This platform is reinventing the wheel but has created an incredible user interface and design that lets you hit the ground running.

Inconvénients

Nothing about the platform is sub-par or oversold, but I would really benefit from having some sort of mobile app.

Outreach is great, best cadence software I've used so far (compared to Sendbloom and Yesware)

Overall experience is super positive. I'm happy with the productivity it's given my team, plus an added bonus from a managerial perspective is the ease of pulling data and call recordings.

Avantages

The constant addition of new features and efficiency workflows is impressive. They're constantly improving the product to reduce wasted motion and effort. For example, they now allow you to update prospects' phone numbers based on email signatures in their responses -- automatically.

Inconvénients

It's definitely buggy. Not any more bugs than other cadence softwares I've used (Sendbloom and Yesware), but still frustrating when I depend on it to engage with my prospects.

If you don’t have outreach, then you are working in the 90s...

Amazing, im an SDR and the CSM for out account responds to my concerns all of the time.

Avantages

Forget spreadsheets, forget manual emails, forget writing down notes on napkins... outreach will literally being the biggest time saver and organizer of your sales development efforts. Want to go 10x faster? Then use outreach.

Inconvénients

It’s hard to pinpoint something that is bad about the software. There have been minor outages which will last like half an hour but that’s literally it...

Great Sales Engagement Platform

So far the implementation and training team have been great. The product is reliable and really helping our team work faster.

Avantages

Outreach makes it easy for my sales reps to take action on leads. There are ways to automate many steps they would have to do manually, thereby giving them more opportunity to focus in other areas. Outreach is very customizable.

Inconvénients

Setup is complicated. It isn't just "plug and play". Until you spend a decent amount in the product, it is hard to remember how to get to everything.

Great tool for Demand Generation/Business Development

Set up sequences based on marketing campaign for the business development reps to follow-up on. This included automated emails, templated/customizable emails, social media outreach and phone calls. The tool tracks outreach metrics so you can optimize the sequences and connects to Salesforce so all activity is attached to leads/contacts.

Avantages

It's every marketers dream to be able to set up outreach for the business development reps and have them follow it. From automated emails, templated/customizable emails, social media outreach and phone calls, you set up a sequence and it allows the team to easily stay on task. Also connects to Salesforce so that all the reps activities is tracked in Salesforce.

Inconvénients

I think as they continue to grow they will continue to expand their offerings into other communication channels but they do have partnerships for video.

A great tool to manage your sales funnel

Avantages

The efficiency it gives you to managing your sales funnel. Less clicks and digging around the computer to enter notes and move between accounts in your CRM. If you have a sales funnel of 40 accounts/day to have touch points, you can finish them in under 2 hours.

Inconvénients

Getting to implement is a huge task. You have to bulid a contact strategy, # of touch points, and messaging you want to use of the sales cycle and build it for each campaign. They do provide the necessary support to help both admins and user get the hang of it but you will have to be patient with the learning curve.

Solid tool for outreach. Only email limits will slow you down.

Overall very happy. Any sales team needing a solid tool and the support material to make it work, start here.

Avantages

Very intuitive and logical. Really like the interface for building sequences to send to customers. They really push education and offer loads of best practices. Even happy with the sync to salesforce which is something that is rarely said.

Inconvénients

Your email limits are going to slow you down, so just know that you can't blast with this system.

Seamless prospecting tool with a 1-to-1 alignment with CRM

Avantages

Being able to prospect, contact prospects, and manage accounts and pipeline all in one solution. Having the integration with Salesforce allows for efficiency and seamless workflows within the sales organization.

Inconvénients

This is great for a small business

Avantages

The software is easy to use. It consolidates a lot of the systems we had in place. I liked how you could prioritize the leads.

Inconvénients

The thing that I didn't like was that our SDR team could only see up to 100 leads at a time. As a company, we spend a lot of money on marketing and generate a lot of leads. There were a lot of leads being neglected because it was hard to prioritize different leads. After a few months, we had to change to another provider that was able to accommodate our lead volume and were also able to prioritize each lead based on their activity.

If you get out of your own way it's fantastic

Outreach has been fantastic but adoption has been the biggest issue we faced. If adoption is done well it will absolutely lead to better conversions of leads and revenue.

Avantages

Outreach is extremely customizable and enables you to focus your time better by automating the tediousness away from prospecting and focus on the message and conversations.

Inconvénients

Honestly it can be somewhat complex to use if you also have other tools that serve some functions that outreach allows. The best way to utilize in my opinion is to spend a ton of time up front to get the functionality the way you want and use as your exclusive tool for prospecting (aside from Sales Nav and that sort of thing)

Good tool for reps, bit janky in most other respects

Avantages

Amazing for reps. Super clean, super fast, makes cranking out top quality, personalized sales activity a dream. Tasks are fantastic, good integration out of the box to SFDC, and the ability to customize layouts is superb.

Inconvénients

API calls to SFDC can cause some problems. In general, it could be more powerful in terms of how it works with the rest of the tech stack, specifically the marketing tech stack. It's difficult to get it really humming, and that can cause some friction. The website also crashes (the tool never does) which isn't a problem, but it is weird.

Horrible Customer Service

Annoying to setup, difficult to train team to use extremely well, but the very WORSE part about it is how horrible their customer support and their Billing department is. They will randomly send invoices with literally no explanation. After responding to their team it will take often days to get a response on the invoices. Their overall support system is a complete nightmare and I would avoid this software solely because of that.

Avantages

Outreach helped our SDR team more effectively call new prospects, however, it isn't easy to setup and it isn't easy for new SDRs to learn.

Inconvénients

Hard to learn which caused SDRs to make simple, but not obvious mistakes because of the software's design. Once they learned the system it did work fairly well. The customer support is absolutely horrible though so good luck getting setup and figuring it out yourself. You are better off finding other software.

If you make a lot of calls and send a lot of emails, get Outreach now!

I spend at least 2 hours in Outreach each day and I don't resent it. It does what I need and does it well.

Avantages

Very user friendly & highly versatile. Integration with Gmail is incredible. Generates insights that make me successful at work.

Inconvénients

Often "hidden errors" are triggered that slow down workflow a bit. It can be frustrating at times when you do hours of work and one of these "hidden errors" seemingly negates the work done.

Outreach is the Sales Development Dream

I have used 4 other sales engagement platforms in my career and I will never use anything but Outreach again. It has incredible integrations with Salesforce, Drift, and Linkedin Navigator and ultimately helps good BDRs be great.

Avantages

Outreach is by far the best sales engagement platform on the market. It helps to automate all tasks and outreach activities by BDRs so they can spend more time providing value to their prospects. From a leadership perspective, the reporting is extremely useful and allows me to track my BDRs individually, team based, and organization based.

Inconvénients

Training new hires to use the platform can be difficult due to how intricate and extensive the feature set is.

Avantages

This software is easy to use, always innovating, and a great tool to manage your sales workflows and pipeline. They are always adding new features to make sure I have the tools to hit my numbers each quarter.

Inconvénients

The only drawback is that they always add new features without fine-tuning the original product. Overall, it is one of the best on the market and has come a long way in the last year.

Outreach is a "Must Have"

Outreach is a total must have for any sales whether directly customer facing or behind the scenes. We are way to busy being pulled into what use to be multiple roles and having an automated way to reach out to customers or prospects is crucial to focusing on the right things.

Avantages

The capabilities of automating. The idea that I could take multiple customers from one company reach out to all at one time never having to remember which step of the cadence I am on.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it can be confusing. For instance having the capability of testing the A/B response set on a particular email but not being able to choose which customers you'd like to have in each part of the signature.

Sales enablement Platform that needs work

I use it daily for sales, the features are great but overall it is buggy. The texting feature is almost useless, you do not see when you receive calls or when you receive a text. It crashes often and can be confusing unless trained.

Avantages

A lot of features are included, text, prospect engagement, email tracking too. Cool features and a great all in one solution.

Inconvénients

The texting feature is not ideal, confusing too. Very difficult to see when someone is calling you, the phone crashes often and somethings you can not hang up until you close out of f the software. A lot of bugs need to be worked out.

Only shortfalls may be external API related

I would never take a sales role without a product like Outreach, I makes a massive impact on productivity.

Avantages

Great set of features for salespeople to use, sequencing, templates, snippets, scheduling, etc. The Prospect dashboards are customizable which makes a huge difference. You can tell its built for sales people and not marketers.

Inconvénients

The schedule feature in gmail did not work for weeks, and apparently customer support is slow according to our admin. I don't know if its Gmail's API or on Outreach's side, but it needed a work around and was very frustrating.

Easy way to track engagement and open rates with emails and sequences

Avantages

I like how easy it is to create a sequence, and then allow Outreach to automate my emails from that point. It gives great details to open rates and engagement, and what sequences are most and least successful

Inconvénients

I've found that even though it syncs with Salesforce, there are things missing that make it so I have to leave Salesforce and pull up Outreach to complete a task at times.

Good Sales Engagement Software

Avantages

Simple integration with Salesforce and seamless sync of data, good calls platform, meeting scheduling, nice sequencing tool, Salesforce Opportunity overview in Outreach itself, email templates. The support team is extremely proactive.

Inconvénients

The reports available are not so complete and flexible. There are a lot of limitations about filtering and changes of view. Outreach doesn't sync directly to LinkedIn, so LinkedIn tasks exist in the CRM, but they work more as reminders than as direct task. Conversational intelligence also has lot of room for improvement.

Outreach is incredible

Great software. I would recommend it.

Avantages

I have used outreach for almost 2 years now and I have loved every second of it. I can easily make sequences and track who opens an email and when they did it. It really has helped my prospecting skills.

Inconvénients

There are very few cons to this software. The only con would be that the sequences occasionally don't stop when there is a reply.

Best Prospecting Tool - Outreach!

Avantages

Outreach is a fantastic tool for prospecting. With the automated sequences, scheduled tasks, calling/emailing features, I'm able to keep track of all my prospecting efforts and maximize my time to be most effective.

Inconvénients

I don't use the reporting features at all. There's a lot of information in there, it may be extremely useful but it's a little overwhelming.

Manage outbound sales strategy better

We wanted to have a solid outbound strategy with a mixture of efforts.

Avantages

Nothing happens without outreach. The cadence, reminders, and templates are all at your disposal so that nothing slips through the cracks.

Inconvénients

Integration with salesforce is slow. When I need to update something in salesforce, the outreach integration makes it impossible for a couple of minutes.

Outreach: Productivity and Functionality Perfectly Aligned

I have very impressed with the overall functionality of Outreach and how it helps our team reach the most people while still tailoring the message to hit home.

Avantages

Very easy to use. The interface is simple and easy for everyone to use. I love that you can send emails to a particular persona and those emails are ALWAYS formatted correctly. Very happy that we adopted this solution.

Inconvénients

I have heard that Outreach is expensive, but I don't know the cost. Others has mentioned integration issues, but it does everyhting that we want it to do.

Outreach keeps you organized

Avantages

I really like the customizability of this software. The ability to create your own sequences for each prospect, make subtle changes to the sequences, clone your colleagues' sequences then tweak them to your own personal preference. Outreach has a ton of great features that make your sales job easier. If you're making upwards of 40 calls a day, it really makes that more manageable. Also integrates with salesforce very well.

Inconvénients

The one area I could see improvement would be in "sorting." Don't get me wrong, there are some great features while trying to sort/filter your prospects, but there are still some things I wish could be made easier. Like an easier way to sort via "step in the sequence," instead of having to assign a priority-level to each step, and then sort that way. BUt this is just a minor detail, overall Outreach is awesome.

Better User experience needed with Outreach

Outreach is a great platform for people in sales and marketing but the cost needs to reduce and their customer support needs to improve

I work on Sales enablement with Outreach and I like how easily I am able to get my work done with it.

Inconvénients

The entire User Interface is not very friendly. Also, the cost of the product is on the higher side which was not very suitable for us

Excellent Email Tool

Avantages

I love how simple it is to create and edit the sequences. As a sales person who sends a lot of outbound emails, it's very important to have a tool that makes it as simple as possible to create new sequences and Outreach is the best there is.

Inconvénients

Sometimes when you go to put a lead in another sequence, it won't allow you to do so for several hours if they have already been put in a sequence. I wish that you didn't have to wait as long between the two. For example, right when a new lead comes in, we have an automated email that is kicked out to them. After that email is sent, I have to wait several hours before putting them in another sequence to get them scheduled. There needs to be shorter wait time between the two.

Super easy to use, very powerful!

I save loads of time using Outreach. That time is very valuable as well. Well done, Outreach.

Avantages

This system has saved me thousands of hours of emailing and contacting clients. It has also helped me organize the way I speak to my clients. The best feature of the platform is the ability to setup email sequences and fully customize the way they are sent out. It also integrates directly to Salesforce, so it pulls the lead info automatically!

Inconvénients

At times, Outreach struggles to sync with my email or Salesforce. Other than syncing, there really isn't much to complain about with Outreach.

Streamlines drip campaigns (referred to as sequences in the platform), automatically monitors responses from prospects, integration with other platforms

Inconvénients

slow sometimes, additional integrations can be costly, hasnt solved for autoreply emails, campaigns can look like spam to the recipient
