Donorbox is fantastic. We ultimately had to switch to a different platform that migrated more seamlessly with our CRM but I would definitely recommend it.

Once we were set up, it was easy to use. We like the option to send out yearly receipts in a couple of steps. We also like to option to add offline donations.

Donorbox makes it easy for us to promote and track donations. We also like that we can ticket our events with it, without sending ticket buyers off to third party websites. It's simple, and therefore easy.

The ticketing side is very simple, maybe too simple, but it's good for us as a small organisation.

Out of the other three or four online fundraising platforms Donorbox was the only one I was able to get up and running. That says everything.

I recently set up a recurring donation with a nonprofit that uses Donorbox and the system was very intuitive. I now receive monthly emails about my donation, and when I signed in to see the options to manage my account, it could not be easier to do! Awesome platform all around, and everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting on the team have been very kind.

As a user of the platform, I do not have any cons with my Donorbox experience.

I like its accessibility most. Between the price, the pay options available to donors, the multiple notifications for contributions, and then the fast and friendly customer service, it was definitely a great choice for the needs of our organization.

I do wish the donor-facing page for individual campaigns would have more styling options. A few more font options and a few more background options would do it for me. I think that wouldn't be too much to change, while still recognizing the service I used was free. Additionally, though I received a quick and thorough response about this from a Donorbox customer service representative, I also wish the information about Paypal and Stripe fees were a little more clear during set up. This wouldn't have changed our choice to go with Donorbox but it would have given us more room to prepare to add this information to our budgeting documents.

- Best reoccurring giving. - Use of partners that do it better. Unlike other CRMs that try to do it all. Donorbox has API's already set up with Mailchimp and they use Stripe and Paypal. If you have used (and struggled with) Salsa or Network for good then you know the significance of this. Donorbox provides a powerful set of tools where the small nonprofit can thrive and continue focusing on their mission. - No annual cost or contract and low processing fee. - Forms are easy to create and customize.

Inconvénients

You can make the crowdfunding and donation form a Peer-to-peer fundraiser. Which is cool. I think it would be better if I could just create a peer-to-peer form and be able to customize it a little bit more. Still functional but I bet it could improve.

Simplifies setting up a donation campaign and tracking donor information.

Very little to complain about, but it would be nice if there were an easy way to tabulate net receipts--donations minus fees--for a campaign. Would also like a cheaper way to do in-person cashless donations, keeping in mind that we have extremely stringent donor reporting requirements (have to track name, address, employer, and occupation for each),More options for payment method--particularly Venmo--would be nice.

I find that Donorbox is very easy to use, and has a lot of great features. In fact, they seem to be adding new, very useful features all the time. Like Text to donate and peer-to-peer fundraising. I can't say I have taken advantage of everything, but it is nice to know that these features are there.

Sometimes they have made changes to the interface and it has taken me a while to see how to do things with the new interface. I think they have done a better job lately of communicating the changes, though.

I like how easy it is to set up forms. I am happy with their rates. I really appreciate the webinars they produce, so I can learn more. Really, I wonder why they do so many nice things for their customers; they are charitable to charities!

Donorbox does all I want it to; I'm sure it does other cool things, but I don't need those things and I'm very happy with the service.

I wish their event features were on the level of eventbrite. I was so excited when they rolled out the events platform only to discover it just doesn't have the reporting and functions we need. I still have to use Eventbrite.

Really appreciate that Donorbox is so simple to use and so affordable. It's very helpful to have the option of suggested donation amounts as well - since starting to suggest amounts to our donors we've noticed an increase in donations! Really value the integrations with Salesforce and Mailchimp as well. This has allowed us greater functionality while keeping the cost of a donation system low.

There are many great things about Donorbox that I thoroughly enjoy. However, a built-in text-to-give technology would really take it to the next level.

Easy for users to pay and checkout, easy to use on the administrative side. We like the ability to customize each campaign, the donation meters, and the ease of downloading lists of donors. It's been particularly helpful for peer-to-peer fundraising: we set up a campaign for each fundraiser, making it possible to customize each fundraiser's goal, donation increments, colors, thank-you notes, everything. It's been a great addition to our website and one we're happy to recommend.

Donorbox is a newer, free platform for allowing donors of your nonprofit to make a gift to your organization. By far, the best thing about them is their customer service. If you or your donor(s) has an issue, you submit a ticket through email and they get back to you generally within one hour. They then work quickly with you to solve whatever problem you're having. They have sent out surveys to clients and asked what features we would like to see added.

Inconvénients

Donorbox has a login system for recurring donors, but none for donors who make a single gift or are regular givers. It would be great if that feature was included, as other companies that offer this type of service have. It would allow my organization to be more efficient and timely in other things we have to do.

The staff at Donorbox are the kindest customer support folks I've ever worked with. Through learning the platform, migrating recurring donors from other platforms into Donorbox, and setting up an integration with our Salesforce account they have been helpful, patient, and simply pleasant to work with. Further, I appreciate that as Donorbox adds new features (such as crowdfunding) they don't put them behind a paywall.

As a nonprofit, DonorBox is the best choice for my organization. It checked all the boxes and makes my accepting donations, designing the donor form, providing auto-generated receipts, and record keeping, a seamless process. As a start-up, this frees up so much time to devote to running the programs.

No issues at all so this far. Donorbox offers other features I will incorporate in the near future as we grow.

The ease of setting up, visual simplicity and ease of use, particularly on mobile was what initially attracted me. Also, the flexibility over cost, and how payment can be passed to donor and be adapted according to the campaign.The more I use it, the more I appreciate it's powerful reporting, ability to segment supporters and the fact it can be integrated into other packages like Zapit.We have also just started campaigns, both set up by ourselves, and also on behalf of our supporters. We can give the fundraiser access just to their campaign, so they can post update stories.

Very few cons we have come across, just a few functionality that we had previously or decided it would be useful, for example, having honorary members (currently there is a $1 minimum fee for members). But in the grand scheme of things, this is very minor. And the response came back quickly that they thought a useful function and would consider it :)

Avantages

Donorbox is simple and intuitive with great instructions to help get setup. One of my favorite things about Donorbox is that I'm able to keep donors on the site, through an embedded Donorbox form. I don't need to send them to a landing page off-site. That's a big deal and keeps donors comfortable finishing the process of giving.

Donorbox is still maturing and some features that I think ought to be built-in, they charge for. Like integrating with an integration software... I have worked with multiple other softwares that simply allow integration, and none of them charge, including other donation platforms.

I am not a web designer, I am a civilian. I volunteered to set up a donation button for the website of a theater company of senior citizens. It may be the greatest compliment of all to say Donorbox can be used effectively by people who are baffled by the internet.

I don't think I can elaborate enough on why this software is simply the best. The instructions are clear and simple; everything works on all browsers; the interfaces are crisp and easy to understand. I have no trouble finding stuff on the dashboard. I can easily administer our team. When a donation comes in, the emails goes quickly to everyone that I've designated, so that the donors can be thanked.

I love how customisable Donorbox is, and the donation forms especially. We used an embedded Donorbox form on our nonprofit's donate page for several years, and it worked flawlessly. It also integrates well with Zapier, which has been a lifesaver.

We eventually switched to another platform because of the fee that Donorbox charges per donation. While it's low - especially compared to many competitors - we found an alternative that was completely free. We still love Donorbox though, and have retained some regular donations on the platform.

I absolutely love the Donorbox customer service. I have been a user for years now and don't have problems with the software, my problems come from our customers needing answers for their questions about their donations, my fundraising, etc. If I'm not sure how to answer my customers and donors, time and time again I have reached out to customer service at Donorbox and they have been on it with helpful help and quick solutions. I also love just how simple everything is laid out and at my fingertips. Thank you, guys. We are big fans!

We have an international presence and also partner with a lot of companies so it's great to be able to accept company donations, accept multiple currencies and customize the donation forms in many different languages. It offers tons of features for a fraction of the price!

Although Donorbox offers the Salesforce integration, it'd be great if the Donorbox dashboard could be a bit more detailed and functional.

For the user, the product is very easy to use, and it was up and running quite quickly. We began to receive donations quickly. Excellent!
Creating Embed Code for us was extremely helpful. It was pretty well designed for ease of setting up.

Being from a computer background, but also a user in this case, I found the details about how information is used to be inadequately described. Specifically ... how the different e-mail fields will be used. Our main email is the church's, but we wanted finances and donation information to be to a separate e-mail address (for confidentiality purposes). In the end, this didn't work out.
The boundaries between Donorbox and Stripe weren't clearly defined to me.
The fee structure (Stripe and Donorbox) was not very clear in the end - what the rates were and who charged what.

Easy to use, enables people to pay what they can afford, which is the way of the future in this time of inequality. I loved all the options and especially being able to customise the reciept email, include images, and send login details (so basically using this donation software as a "pay what you can afford" plugin). Quick, friendly responses to questions and sounded like real people not robotic people.

I'd love if it could automatically export .csv data to squarespace email campaigns but i appreciate that's pretty niche. It can however do it with mailchimp. As it is i do it manually once a month.

I just love that it's easy to use, and that it reminds donors of their lapsed donation. It's wonderful.

I wish there was some more customization for the metering for tracking campaigns! I want to track total donors, total monthly donors, etc. Having different meters in one campaign would be great as we often have multiple goals. Hit the donation goal, while ALSO increasing our monthly donations.

We like the ability to easily set up campaigns as needed. Everything is within the customer’s control. The feature to email annual donation letters for tax purposes is invaluable. Hours of tedious work was avoided eith a literal click of a button.

Avantages

Donor box is easy to maneuver around and learn quickly. Everything has its place. I loved the automatic email receipt it sends to my customers.

Possibly a few too many options or words are similar to others so it take a minute to learn where everything is but it’s not bad once you learn it

I appreciate that I can log in easily to check on donor accounts. The setup is user friendly and easy to make changes to.

I can't think of any cons at this time because Donorbox has served us well for what we need and we have not had problems that I am aware of.
