I have been the administrator of our Donorbox account for over a year and whenever I need help I have had a reply the same day, and my queries have all been solved. I have spoken to [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] several times and always sorts everything out for me.

Our nonprofit needed a usable and affordable solution for membership management. In particular, we needed to reconcile online and offline donations, which translate directly to membership. Donorbox's built-in membership campaign type was a huge win.

Inconvénients

Fields within the CRM portion are a bit lacking – we're having to use "notes" for quite a bit of critical information. Still, with our ~100-person membership, it's not big deal.

Love this tool because it is so simple to setup multiple campaigns that each have their own progress tracking and details. Embedding on my website is easy and just works. Set it and forget it type of thing. Pricing is simple. Entering donations received outside of the tool is easy.

Wish it had some additional integrations with my email tool or CRM.

Need employer address. Hard to upload different pictures.

Donorbox was a great initial software that our non-profit used as we started. It was cheap, straightforward, and easy to integrate with out website. We had specific campaigns as well as general donations. We loved how simple it was, the automation it provided, and the record we were able to keep because of it.

Inconvénients

Because of it's price, it lacks some of the most robust features that other platforms have. It doesn't have great donor management software but we didn't initially use it for that.

Ease of use & signup! Provides a platform for even the smallest & newest of Not for Profits! The ability to ask donors to pay the fee with their donation helps cover the fees.

I don't have any Cons to report. All experiences have been positive.

Donorbox was a trusted name to those wanting to donate to the campaign. It was fairly easy to set up and very user friendly to those donating on the site. My main concern was lag time between donation and when it would be placed in the bank account. That may have been Stripe, but not sure. Otherwise, very successful launch and use of Donorbox product. Thank you!

Nothing I'm aware of. Product has the functions I needed to track, retain and disclose properly what was needed.

Very easy to set up, manage and create donation capabilities on my website. Also, super easy integrations with my third party payment processor. I also like the data and reporting. I can see all of my donors, their status, their history, etc.

Inconvénients

I would like to see some improvements to email capabilities. Emails are easy to set-up, use and execute but they are pretty generic. Would love to have some template options to chose from.

Searched for a solution for a non-profit website donation page and found DonorBox interface. I was very happy with what I found, and have been even happier since starting use. From super easy end user experience, to simple implementation on websites, Donorbox rocks! Users can donate via bank card, PayPal, or bank account. No fees are charged by DonorBox unless $1000 per month is processed. Other merchant processing fees apply as usual. DonorBox loves mobile users too!

Only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner!

It's ease and simplicity is what I like best!

I submitted a request that would make SO MUCH difference and I'd like to know if it's in the works - Specifically, I want an "account" id to be captured for each donor - which I did add as comments. However, in order to capitalize on this - it has to be added to the TRANSACTIONAL extract I do each month so that I can LINK that account id to my monthly off-line transactional reporting - Please feel free to contact me for more clarity.

Ease of use, affordability, very professional design, customization for integration on website, multiple options for embedding donation form (eg, button, pop up, webpage), and the option of accepting reoccurring donations and multiple payment methods.

Not as much customization that I would prefer on making a campaign, for example, adjusting what part of the background picture displays.

Everything about Donorbox has been great. Simple to create, implement, and edit if needed. I've appreciated it's their customer service and willingness to look into unique problems related to my needs/desires for the product. All in all its been a simple and well built product to receive donations.

One time we ran into some customization hopes we had around design/layout that weren't possible.

Anytime you use an application for your business, you are bound to run into an issue with the functionality, ease of use, or appearance. To me it is critical that you are provided with support for that application, but not just support for the sake of it. You need quick and meaningful support that will assist you in accomplishing your goals. That is what we get from Donorbox!

Inconvénients

If there were any features missing that we need I will suggest it and they will look at it. The only thing that I didn’t like is that they have evolved and changed the look of the software (just a little) recently and made my navigation of the site a little slower but I guess I would have put the blame on me for not visiting often enough.

I found the product very easy to implement. When I got stuck, I contacted customer service and received a very detailed response which was exactly what I needed. I was working on a Saturday night and customer service was there for me.

Maybe even a few more features to allow multiple asks within the same campaign. I would also like Vimeo to be offered as a social platform like YouTube is.

Donorbox is incredibly easy to work with and intuitive. We've never had a problem or discrepancy in the two years of using it. The customer service is amazing.

I would have liked to have been able to customise yearly giving reports rather than having to do them manually outside of Donorbox.

Donor box has exceeded my expectations and whenever I needed any support, the response is always prompt and my questions are always resolved. Simple and easy to understand interface and they are continually making improvements.

No cons that I can think of. They even changed the term Donation to Contribution for us since we are not yet a not-for-profit and so we wanted to customize the language.

I had no prior knowledge in setting up forms like this - the step by step process was so simple to follow and allowed me to add in all of the questions needed specific to our Foundation. Our online giving has increased by over 300% in the last year!

Nothing I can think of - I did a lot of research on price, and this is one of the best. Especially if you don't get a lot of gifts online, you don't get much taken out.

We use DonorBox to process all online donations and to manage donor lists, receipts, recurring payments, and annual giving letters. The customer service is terrific, the software is easy to use, and the pricing scales as the organization grows.

We wish that DonorBox incorporated Facebook's donate button. Since FB covers transactions fees for nonprofits, FB is cheaper for us than Stripe.

A very slick product that allows you to build your campaigns, your way. If you ever have any questions, their customer service team is amazing and replies back quickly.

My favorite thing about Donorbox is that our year-end annual contributions statements are sent within minutes and without hassle. What used to take me hours (and sometimes days) is now done with a couple of clicks. And it was ridiculously easy to submit a CSV file to Support and they imported offline donations and donations received through other portals. I could not say enough good about this feature!

Inconvénients

The text donation feature needs work and is pricey. We use a different platform that includes this feature free, which I wish Donorbox would upgrade that piece to include short codes and not as pricey.

Avantages

DonorBox products and services for organizations are very efficient and welcoming. For example, it takes just a few minutes or so to integrate the fundraiser form for an organization to begin raising funds. Their customer services are ready to guide you through each step along the way. The webinar for organizations are eductive program that provide exactly what It takes to make your brand or organization to grow.

Inconvénients

The only thing I see with DonorBox is that, scripe account aren't in some countries or regions, but order than that they are doing quite well for organization around the world.

We had a year to transition to our own fundraising and donation platform. I'm no computer expert but was able to put all the pieces together to make it work.

If I could improve anything I would increase the amount allowed for ACH donations.

This software is very simple to setup and integrate into a website to accept donations. The options included to create giving buttons or categories are intuitive and easy to use.

I had to read several of the help files of how to make the connection between Donorbox, Stripe, and our bank account to accept ACH payments. However, it worked well. We have had a couple of donors who wanted to give by ACH, but could not find their bank in the stripe / plaid system. That was unfortunate, but hopefully they will find another option to give.

Best thing we ever did. Donorbox is on main donation link has never let us down. The records held make it so easy to work with our accountant.

I really appreciated the ease of setup along with the variety of features offered. I am not super tech savvy, but even I was able to configure our campaign easily. I only remember having one question about set up, which customer support resolved for me quickly and helpfully. One of my favorite things about Donorbox is that they allow the donor to cover processing fees.
