Its very easy to establish and distribute a fundraiser, and the html codes are user friendly even to a novice. The customer support by email is superb.

Many features are buried in menus, there are not enough customization options, the banking and payment aspect is a bit muddy.

I tried a lot of different software, websites, etc, but I always came back to Donorbox. Their ability to make Churches and Nonprofits a part of their company, and not a money grab is my absolute favorite. I fell in love with Donorbox because of their attention to detail to churches and nonprofits. And the very best thing? Churches and nonprofits are not the same for them. There are specific articles and tools for churches that differ from nonprofits-I know because I've been both. And it's not that products aren't available for one or the other, it's that the way everything is structured for each sector makes it really feel like Donorbox cares about who they serve. We are not customers at Donorbox, we are people, businesses, churches, whatever you are, Donorbox will recognize you as that. You are not a customer in their database, and I can't tell you how much I love that.

Inconvénients

I think understanding Donorbox coming from another software can be difficult. It was for me, but once you learn it, you actually enjoy all the customization and giving options. The fees aren't to bad either. I would say the only con for Donorbox is that it doesn't integrate with a lot of church software that I've looked into. But I don't even know if that's a problem because most church software has its own giving platform, so I can't really say it's a real con or not!

We love how easy to use donorbox is, once we got it setup it just always runs in the background and is always gathering data, which proves invaluable when we apply for grants, and when we try and expand our program. it allows us to very easily display all of our donation metrics. Also it truly is a set it and forget it type of service. We rarely have to perform any maintenance

Inconvénients

We wish that there was a way to export data and have it easily sync with systems that dont have a built in sync up with donorbox. Luckily most of the services we use have a built in option to link up with our donorbox. But for those that don't it can be a little difficult for someone who isn't very tech saavy to pull that data and import it into other databases

Ease of use. Ability to run multiple campaigns at the same time. The ability to fully customize what information you want to collect and donor levels, also that you can put descriptions next to donation levels. For example, if you are fund raiser for a particular item, say a backpack, you cam say $20 - 1 backpack, $40 - 2 backpacks, etc.

Customer service can only be accessed through email, but they are very good about getting back to you.

Donors recognize the name. That is big, especially for my donor base.

Over the years, the cost has risen and managing Donorbox has become more annoying.

It is easy to use and set up. Lots of option for integrations. Chat support is usually quite helpful and responds quickly.

Donorbox's functionality is just fine. To get a great experience out of it, you will have to set up a few integrations that have their own monthly costs. Donorbox recently lost their contact with 360MatchPro and did not notify users, which was frustrating. Setting up field mapping to Salesforce has been challenging and Support has not been helpful.

Avantages

Donorbox is preferable to other crowdfunding platforms in that it allows for recurring donations. This has been very helpful in sustaining fundraising efforts.

Inconvénients

The user functionality is a little hard to navigate, and fees combined with payment processing still can be quite high.

I recently set up a recurring donation with a nonprofit that uses Donorbox and the system was very intuitive. I now receive monthly emails about my donation, and when I signed in to see the options to manage my account, it could not be easier to do! Awesome platform all around, and everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting on the team have been very kind.

The ability to add questions on donor form to capture required donor information for campaign finance reporting, the goal meter, and ease of integrating with website. I used Donorbox once before last year and had some memory of how it worked. I was able to get the organization setup to accept donations online in 2 days. Support staff responding promptly to inquiries by directing me to available resources.

Inconvénients

Adding questions wasn't intuitive, it took trial and error. Also, as the organizations treasurer and not a website developer, deciding on how best to integrate with the organization's website was confusing. I had to get the process up and running very quickly so admit I didn't spend alot of time exploring Donorbox user resources. It would be helpful if there was Donorbox for Dummies for people, like myself, not on social media, not a website developer, and new to fundraising to get the big picture of how various products are integrated and for what purpose. Thank you.

I like how easy it is to set up forms. I am happy with their rates. I really appreciate the webinars they produce, so I can learn more. Really, I wonder why they do so many nice things for their customers; they are charitable to charities!

Donorbox does all I want it to; I'm sure it does other cool things, but I don't need those things and I'm very happy with the service.

Donorbox is a newer, free platform for allowing donors of your nonprofit to make a gift to your organization. By far, the best thing about them is their customer service. If you or your donor(s) has an issue, you submit a ticket through email and they get back to you generally within one hour. They then work quickly with you to solve whatever problem you're having. They have sent out surveys to clients and asked what features we would like to see added.

Inconvénients

Donorbox has a login system for recurring donors, but none for donors who make a single gift or are regular givers. It would be great if that feature was included, as other companies that offer this type of service have. It would allow my organization to be more efficient and timely in other things we have to do.

I can't say enough good things about Donorbox. We were struggling to sync our data to Salesforce and manage recurring donors in prior systems. It was time consuming and inaccurate. We implemented Donorbox and bam - it just works. Their support is responsive. The integration is excellent. The interface is easy. Our recurring donors can manage their own profiles. It's been such a good fit that I recommended it to another client and helped them implement it. I don't usually write reviews but I had to do it here - it's just excellent and if it ever goes away I will cry.

There's a learning curve. But it's small, and worth learning for our purposes.

I absolutely love the Donorbox customer service. I have been a user for years now and don't have problems with the software, my problems come from our customers needing answers for their questions about their donations, my fundraising, etc. If I'm not sure how to answer my customers and donors, time and time again I have reached out to customer service at Donorbox and they have been on it with helpful help and quick solutions. I also love just how simple everything is laid out and at my fingertips. Thank you, guys. We are big fans!

For the user, the product is very easy to use, and it was up and running quite quickly. We began to receive donations quickly. Excellent!
Creating Embed Code for us was extremely helpful. It was pretty well designed for ease of setting up.

Inconvénients

Being from a computer background, but also a user in this case, I found the details about how information is used to be inadequately described. Specifically ... how the different e-mail fields will be used. Our main email is the church's, but we wanted finances and donation information to be to a separate e-mail address (for confidentiality purposes). In the end, this didn't work out.
The boundaries between Donorbox and Stripe weren't clearly defined to me.
The fee structure (Stripe and Donorbox) was not very clear in the end - what the rates were and who charged what.
