I would recommend this software.
Avantages
Visio is a great software which provides diagram templates for data and flow charts. I have been using this for showing financial growth of clinical trials in flow chart and it gives me multiple design options for my data.
Inconvénients
It is not an easy software for first time user. It requires time to understand how to use and navigate around.

Decent Charting Software
Avantages
It is relatively feature rich yet intuitive to use. Very flexible. Able to map out the my office layout as well as manage office organizational chart.
Inconvénients
Some of the controls are clunky. Something as simple as cutting and pasting can be cumbersome.

Easy to set up a floorplan for our call center
No steep learning curve. You can get right into making floorplan or diagrams for any company.
Avantages
I needed a floorplan for our call center with all appliances, cubicles, areas, etc. Everything is available and adjustment are made to fit your needs. Easy to work with and a good looking floorplan made in a few hours.
Inconvénients
To make adjustments in length, depth and width you need to do several clicks, this should be more efficient.

New tool for me
Avantages
is that is a great tool for making diagrams of any thing you want, in my case it was networking. I documented and had a better picture of my diagram with visio.
Inconvénients
there are some features that are hard to use, connecting devices and trying to have a curve connection from one device to another is no easy and takes up time.

Drawing made easy
It is not bad at all. Helps with some of the reports I submit weekly. However I would still recommend PowerPoint.
Avantages
Drawing has been made easy with a variety of shapes and objects that come with Microsoft visio. It also comes with great templates.
Inconvénients
The controls aren't easy to use, you have to make time to learn how to use them and Visio is also quite expensive for the job it does.

VIsio helps create Visualizations
So far I've found that Visio is the easiest software to use for organizational charts that contains built in templates.
Avantages
Viso helps create powerful and clean visualizations. Visio pricing starts at $5.00 per month, per user, and there is also a free trial.
Inconvénients
If you you're creating projects for clients the clients won't be able to change the diagram if they don't have a Visio license.

Helpful for new processes
We have recently decided to formalize processes and Visio has proved a great tool for this!
Avantages
Vision has given us a handy tool for visualising our new processes in a way departments can easily understand

There was a bit of a learning curve when picking this up, it's not as simple as putting something together roughly in Word or Excel but that's due to the improved functionality

Chart Maker
It's a good software to develop project flow processes and display different outcomes. It's very easy to use. Great for presentations.
Avantages
I have used this at other companies before and while going to school. It's a good tool for creating flow charts or process charts. There's a lot of tools and very easy to use.
Inconvénients
I think any issues I had when I was using it was just a matter me needing to learn the different functions better.

Great flowchart and organizational hierarchy tool!
Avantages
I love the variety of shapes and symbols available as well as the ease of use. The interface is very good and I can easily figure out various functions.
Inconvénients
There is not much I don't like about this product although I have not had a lot of time to completely dive into all of its capabilities an features as of yet.

My company had no process or business mapping. I am utilizing this to organize the business and identify areas we can optimize due to mapping
Avantages
The Data Visualization is great. It makes things so much easier being able to combine the data with the mapping.

There isn't much I can say about this product that isn't positive. It would be nice if it were a little less expensive.

Great system, super expensive
Avantages
We used it a lot for process flow and org charts. It was a great system, but there are much better alternatives. Lucidchart is one that is much cheaper.
Inconvénients
Great system at a very high price. I can sign up to use Lucidchart for a whole year and pay less than a license for Visio.

My experience with Visio was great and I have not seen any big issues with it.
Avantages
It is one of the best in building graphs and charts. It is user-friendly and easy o use and understands.
Inconvénients
It is by far the best application and to be honest I could not find cons to this application. I would recommend users to go for it if their works are heavy in building charts and diagrams.

Great software for simple or complex drawings
Avantages
Easily lay down drawings of layouts or other sketches with a large library of images and predefined shapes.
Inconvénients
Somethings the software will lock up and its very memory hungry to run. All the other typical Microsoft downfalls apply here as well. The cost for the software will also limit the user availability as well.

Comprehensive tool for designing flowcharts
I have created process flowcharts for performing experiments as well as for presenting data during a presentation.
Avantages
The user interface is smooth and very adaptive. Creating and formatting of flowcharts is fairly straightforward.
Inconvénients
Although it might be suitable for others, I find this programs quite complex to use due to the vast number of features that is available to the user.

I like several newer features with visio 2013 over previous versions. Most prevelant the layering capability allowing you to show different views of the same basic diagram or phased over time views
Inconvénients
Not the most intuitive if you have not used for a while. Help menu is okay, but requires a lot of different search methods to get to what you need.
