Avantages

I love being able to graph my clients progress as they work towards their goals. The visualization really helps people that need constant verification of their progress. I also wish that the notes that the client writes in the individual workouts could be easier found overall versus having to track down that exact workout plan.

Inconvénients

The software on the app is hard to design workouts, upload exercises or do anything other than talk to the clients through the messenger. There are many times I need full access while only having my cellphone, and it forces me to postpone my work until I have access to a computer.

Avantages

I like how you can request features on the site and customer service does respond in a timely manner.

Inconvénients

Trainerize can be integrated with Stripe, but they don't allow you to pause payments for customers. This is a feature that Stripe allows, but Trainerize Pay (Stripe-integrated) hasn't included that feature. This was something that coaches have requested to be included, since many clients get sick or go on vacation and want to resume at a later time.

Avantages

Trainerize give your everything you need to run a successful online fitness training business, from programming, to uploading your own content, to payments, to messaging features. Everything you need if in one place!

Inconvénients

I would love to see Trainerize add a built-in document signing feature for clients so that they can sign waivers and training agreements in the app as well. This is the only feature missing that I have to use an outside service for.

The #1 reason I love this app and training software, they’re ALWAYS looking for improvements. I’ve been using the software to train my clients for 4 years now and the Trainerize team has made HUGE improvements in the software. They’re constantly making it better and more effective. I’ve never been disappointed with their feature add ons or updates.

Inconvénients

There are times my app is slow on my phone. This can be extremely frustrating when I’m trying to keep in contact with my clients and communicate with them.

What I like the most about Trainerize is their long list of features (that are continually being updated) as well as their customer support, more specifically the chat feature. It's nice to be able to talk to an actual human and their follow up game is on POINT!

Inconvénients

What I dislike the most about Trainerize is ease of use. It is extremely difficult to navigate, especially when you're just setting it up. But i've been using this platform for years and I still have a hard time navigating some features like the client food logs. There are so many features but unfortunately they are difficult or unclear to access.

That Trainerize keeps on adding new stuff, improving their features, suer friendly, and always make sure to be 1-2 steps ahead of the competition!

Inconvénients

Nothing in particular that I can come up with. I feel as soon as I felt I was missing something, they were releasing shortly after.

The app is easy to use for my clients. Workouts are easy to set up. Trainerize is always trying to update the app and make things easier for the trainer.

Inconvénients

They did change how to upload your personal YouTube videos. Now you need the URL, where before you could check a box and it would upload. Used to be easier.

I love everything about the App. From my management of the business to what my clients are able to use when training.

My only complaint is to make using the Zappa easier. I've had a difficult time connecting all the systems together and stopped using them all

I like that it’s accessible on a cell phone. I like that it manages and delivers everything I need to create great programming for my clients.

I most like the ease at which I can personalize the training for my clients. They are all in what is considered special populations. I can use prepared workouts, edit them, create my own and even add my own videos easily with no additional cost. And it's all private.

None of the Trainerize videos are done by women.

I love Trainerize! It gives me the power to create a superior experience for my clients while allowing me more time and freedom for content creation and spending time with loved ones.
It is truly the future of personal training and I am excited about the new features that Trainerize will continue to add. It is also a very affordable service, which is great for trainers starting out online to ‘get their feet wet’ and build a client base.

1.) I wish I could view and create master programs and master workouts through the app. Especially since I am currently on the go a lot and it would be awesome if I could build my client templates on the go.

2.) A ‘trainer’ slot for our own workouts and programs would be a great addition. It would also give us more experience with the app, which would be helpful in answering any client questions.

They have every feature that I need available and more for my personal training business. They have articles that provide tips on how to get the most out of the software. The tips are applicable and useful. The pricing is in a great range for myself and my clients.

Inconvénients

There's a lot going on at once. It can be difficult to grasp everything at my fingertips and explain things to my clients. There are videos available but a lot of my clients already have a difficult time with technology in general.

Avantages

Easy to keep track of clients. Reminders for everything from new plan creation needed, client missed or completed a workout, to birthdays.

Inconvénients

Mobile app is a bit glitchy at times. Navigation of the software can be a bit un-intuitive. Support is always willing to help though

It allows me to maintain all my trainees infornation in order and easy to access, as well as allowing for a very practical way to program their training sessions and orogression.

Trainerize has the all of the features you'd need or want from an online training perspective. The software has gotten better and better over the years and I have been a customer since its inception.

Inconvénients

Some of the new features can be confusing but they do offer videos on the new features whenever they are added. There are some small things that are a minor inconvenience sometimes but unfortunately I can't recall what they are.

I live the ease of use. I studies other similar programs and found them too time consuming to learn. Trainerize makes it super easy. I like that you have the option to upgrade for more clients; thereby not having to invest more money when you may not have the clientele to support that investment. The help desk is awesome as well. I like the updates & improvements that Trainerize has published as well. The program is great for keeping track of your face-to-face clients in addition to clients you train online. Overall highly recommend!

Inconvénients

Any cons that I might have had in the beginning have been resolved with the addition tonaccwor payment through the program. The only recommendation I would make is the ability to make notes within a client’s account.

THere are so many things to like about Trainerize but one of the things I love the most is the ability to scale the amount you pay to the amount of clients you currently have. Sometimes these types of software are so hard to get into when you are just starting out. Trainerize makes if possible to pay a lesser amount for fewer clients and to pay more as you grow.

While the software is actually pretty simple there have been times it has taken me a while to figure out some features such as creating programs and setting up groups

I like that I can upload my own videos or use some from the library. It's really user friendly for uploading your own videos.

Inconvénients

Sometimes when I am designing a program for a client it feels like the process should be easier. It's probably that I have so many of my exercises uploaded that it takes some time to design a workout. That and rarerly are two of my workouts the same for each client.

Progression building and workout scheduling are straightforward. Adding new exercise is fairly simple

It can be tough to find exercise videos that show the exercise done correctly. Uploading my own videos is time consuming

I am working 10 hours a day and that leaves very less time to go to gym/fitness center/classes to keep myself healthy and fit.

Then I came to know about Trainerize which is great app to get fitness training without travelling to fitness center. It really saves great deal of time and helps me keep fit. I also get advice in planning my daily diet so that I can manage my weight.

I am getting personal training for fitness at my home itself, which saves my time and ofcourse car fuel. Also I can use it according to my time schedule, no need follow the time schedule of fitness center which was not compatible with my office timings!!

Inconvénients

It works on internet connection and when internet is not available then theres a problem. Also it does not show notifications sometimes.

The people that are behind the project. The customer service is phenomenal and you can tell that they really care about producing the best quality app possible.

Still feels a bit 'unfinished', but it is obvious that they are working to add new features every week. Really wished some features were a bit more fleshed out, but over-all, it's still a good product.

Allows me to organize all clients in one place, talk to them regularly with automatic reminders and real-time check-in "pings" from the app, and easy to use app

Differences between trainer and client views make communication difficult - often times my clients will forget to see the "notes" on a workout or not see how many sets or reps they have because on their end, these features are more hidden/non-intuitive

Avantages

It lets you keep track of your short-term and long-term goals easily. You can track your calorie intake and match it up with how much you have burned today. Your trainer can instruct you by sharing videos from Youtube or by creating his own demonstration to help to master the right technique for a particular exercise. The best thing is that you can never have a cheat day without your trainer knowing about it.

Inconvénients

Website building feature is not that advance. However, it not that important when your trainer already have a website. There are other ways to build website as it is not for buiding websites.

You can create programs and payment plans right inside the app. It’s easy to use. There are so many features that benefit a personal trainer. I love this for keeping my clients on track with their goals.

It does not connect with all fitness trackers but other than that I feel it’s an amazing tool.

I really like all of the features. I put a lot of my own video content up for clients, but the exercise library they have is huge, I use lots of those as well. It takes a few weeks of diligent use to become competent with the software, I also scheduled a phone training session that went great!

Just a couple things that threw me was that it was not quite as easy to use as it sounded in the ads, it also lacked a couple of features that I want... But they add new features all the time and as I mentioned earlier, now that I have been using it for a while it's great!

I love that it simulates how you deliver a workout to your client on paper. You create a workout, and the each time the client tracks it, it logs the sets, reps and weights. Simple and effective.

Inconvénients

A little to long between updates. I'd love to receive minor bug fixes more often, than only get an update once a month (or sometimes longer between updates). Custom apps also are to far behind the official app it seems.

Avantages

The ability to upload my own videos with ease provides the personal connection that is important to me and my clients. They can still see ME and I can still provide the variety they enjoy at a very low cost ! It also allows me to discuss and demonstrate modifications and specific cues which is important in working with my clientele which are all over 55 years of age.

Inconvénients

Many options available on the desktop version are not available on the phone or tablet.

This is a pretty nifty browser- & app-based software that helps you plan workouts for your gym members. It's cool, because you can assign members to workout plans en mass or individualize them instead. Coaches can use it to help them manage & plan the workouts of members, and members can use it to track their progress in specific lifts/exercises. Additionally, it allows for you to assign instructional videos to certain exercises, so coaches & members alike can ensure they're on the same page when it comes to exercise technique.

Inconvénients

It feels a bit clunky to use. There are quite a few features and sometimes certain things are difficult to access, whether it's on the web browser or in the app. And occasionally, things don't work or load, requiring you to refresh the app or web page.

Avantages

Trainerize is incredibly easy to use - Plus, their support team is very prompt in their replies, and is willing to hear feedback from users! Since I started using Trainerize a few years back, it's added a great degree of functionality that's made it even easier to use than ever before.

Inconvénients

Not to be a homer, but I can't complain! Whenever I've recommended an addition to the interface, Trainerize always delivered in a prompt and effective manner.

Keeping all the info and records of my clients in order and easy to access, providing them with all that's needed to follow their workout plan at their hand's reach.

Inconvénients

Inability to handle two different clients at the same time in one mobile session or neing able to quickly move from one to another without having to save the info every time.

The idea is great. Seriously, it has a ton of potential. I do like how the app allows you to customize programs but then that's also limited. I also like the ability for the client to review their homework or workout on a certain time. Again, it makes things easier to manage.

Inconvénients

Though the software has great qualities there's also plenty of limitations for clients with specific needs or programming. I also have found uploading onto the software to feel not-so user friendly and somewhat tedious. I think people really believe that this platform or fitness in general will be the same for everyone and that's so not true. Its still new and needing some work. Customer service has yet to unsubscribe my name from their emails so that's an issue as well.

The software is easy to use and allows for client customization​ at scale. The program design features are best-in-class, and the Payments feature has been a game changer for our business.

The changes to the Master Programs feature were frustrating. I'd like to see this feature improved

Love the wide variety of activities available on the app. Love the ability to customize the app to our brand. Love the ability to add our own personal exercises. Love the ability to grow the clientele base and make master programs/workouts to use on several subscribers. Saves a lot of time and allows to scale and reach more people and clients.

Inconvénients

Would love to be able to add pictures (instead of only youtube videos) to our own personnal exercise library. Would also love to add pictures/documents as references for the client to see every time they log in to the app, if they need them.

Good exercise library, ability to add videos, can work from my phone for the most part.

Inconvénients

Glitches, sometimes clients calendars and photos get mixed up for an hour or two, in the app only. Shuts down on the app at least once per day, making it not easy to use from my end

I love the ability to upload my own workout videos for my clients to use and the ability to create custom workout programs and templates. I've recently started to use the "workout progression" function as well which is pretty cool.

I also love the ability to compare my client's workouts from week to week and review their progress graph on certain lifts.

Inconvénients

I wish we could add drop set options to the workouts, but it's not that big of a deal.

Doesn't work as well on Android compared to iPhone.
The older the phone to worse the program performs. I've tried two Android phones now both of the same age and Trainerize performance is decreasing.

I'm not in a position at the moment to get a new phone so I just have to persevere with it.

Can't record 'Drop Sets'

Need to include a complete nutrition section not out source it to another company that then has it's own fees. Check out what Virtuagym have done.

When I substitute an exercise for one that I've done before it will only show 3 sets option even if I know I've done 4 sets before and it won't display the previous weights recorded. I always have to add the extra set and check the history to see what was recorded. This doesn't happen on the iPhone.

I like the ease of use, and how it allows me to keep tabs on dozens of clients at once. The morning reports indicate who's following the program laid out for them, and who's not. The automatic messages it has enable me to do simple things like wishing my clients a happy birthday, and holding them accountable when I don't. Can't recommend this app highly enough!

Inconvénients

One thing I would like for Trainerize to enable is to have a preview of what each workout you create entails. Over the years I've used it, I've come up with hundreds of workouts, and sometimes I forget which exercise are in each. Depending on the client, I'll sometimes have to flip through several workouts before finding one that's varied enough in comparison to what else they're doing that week, and is at the appropriate level.

I love the flow this software gives when writing out workouts. It's very beneficial to have YouTube as a back-up for videos. I also like the option to add notes when needed. The ability to customize workouts and keep track of past workouts for each client is very helpful.

The check-in's with pictures and measurements are very easy to read and compare.

Inconvénients

I wish it had a nutrition feature to this program. It forces me to use another software instead of staying in one place. I also think that the cost is more on the high-end.

Very user friendly. Love the fact that I can add my own videos specific to my clients needs. Can change clients programs on my phone and do not have to log into my computer. So this makes things super fast and efficient service for my clients.

When I ran a promo I have several clients in a group training package. But then at the end when I took them off that group it deleted the programs that they had previously done so I could ensure I wasn't repeating their workouts.

The Android version of the app is terrible. It's slow, it doesn't always send notifications, some features are missing. I feel like in 2023 almost these things shouldn't be happening between Android and Apple users.I also wish there was a possibility to integrate not only with MyFitnessPal or Apple Watch but others like Cronometer for nutrition or Garmin/FitBit for trackers.

It’s user friendly for both the trainer and the client. My clients are telling me regularly how much they love using this app. I’ve tried other options out there but this had everything I needed with setting up my clients and helping them succeed. They love working in their group through Trainerize and seeing that the other clients are working out and hitting PBS helps motivate them to keep pushing when they don’t feel like it.

Inconvénients

I’ve had a few clients ask about linking their fitness tracking devices other than Fitbit to the system as it’s not an option yet. We sent a request through and I’m sure it will be soon enough!

Ease of use, both on the client and trainer side. Metrics are very useful and the ability to search out all videos on you tube is great. I have gotten so much great feedback over the last 3-4 years of use!

I’ve been with Trainerize since 2014. They’ve come along ways since the beginning. I have full faith that they will continue to improve their product.

There is no offline tracking. Last time I checked, I cannot make a customized (master) program via app. To use the software properly you HAVE to use BOTH a computer (desktop website) and the app. It’s near impossible to use the desktop website on a tablet or phone.
