Lots of functionality and Integration. I have been using Yodeck for several years now and have found it to be cleanly set up and intuitive. They also keep brining updtaes to the sytem which is great to have. Some of my favorite features are the apps.

When there is an error uploading new content to the screen it doesnt explain what went wrong it just says it didnt work. i then need to try to figure it out with trila and error. i wish it would be clearer what the issue was. It happens rarley though.

Easy to create designs. I love the ability to add video to static images for a more compelling image. The system is very flexible for our need as a school information board.

Larger files might take longer to encode, but with Vimeo and YouTube integration, large videos play as if they were directly uploaded! We utilize the Vimeo and YouTube features on a regular basis.

The ability to install on a raspberry pi and the features of the basic version is full and not complicated.

When I first started, doing update pushes on content would freeze the p[layer and I had to re-image the pi a couple of times, but its working good now.

Simplicity of operation and set up, super responsive support (proactive), cost of operation. Coming from BrightSign, all of these are incredible.

Inconvénients

Honestly, nothing on Yodeck side. The biggest challenge was getting Yodeck software to run on a couple of BrightSign devices we still wanted to use but the difficulty came from BrightSign devices, not Yodeck.

Yodeck supports an amazing amount of media content and integrates with a large number of popular applications. With their highest tiered package, it offers easy organization of displays across multiple buildings, or even multiple locations within the same building. User management is relatively simple and right management and assignments are easy to delegate.

Inconvénients

We were most looking forward to integration with Canva, and although it is supported in Yodeck, not all features are yet available - namely the ability to have a Canva slideshow automatically play on your displays. Yodeck will only show one slide. I have been told by Yodeck that they are working on integrating that feature.

The ability to test out and try Yodeck for free was the major selling point. Other softwares were expensive to test out and couldn't be tested on hardware we already had.

I wish the Windows installation was a little smoother. It is fairly clunky and has some bugs. It took contacting support about 3 times in order to get all of the Windows installation bugs worked through.

From uploading my pictures, to designing my layouts, & creating my playlists, everything was simple to set up & I don't have to hear my husband complain about the handwriting or the description on the specials board anymore. I've created layouts that make everything look professional & readable for our customers.

We had a little bit of a struggle getting our monitor & TV to work together. After a lengthy bit of time we realized that the cable from the monitor to the TV was bad. We haven't had an issue with it since they shipped me a new cable.

The ease of use off the shelf was very appealing, as well as the low-cost compared to competitors. Once we started building campaigns customer support was responsive and informative. We also particularly like that Yodeck is supported on RaspberryPi devices making our rollout simple and affordable.

Inconvénients

There is a learning curve to Yodeck and it needs to be initially handled by a lead comfortable learning and navigating the tool. It's likely that when knowledge transfer happens to other personnel that some training and knowledge transfer will be necessary at the entity level to ensure the quality and integrity of the projects remain consistent.

We found that Yodeck had the best and easiest-to-use toolbox for our use cases. It was the easiest to learn for people of all comfort levels and it's supported on RaspberryPi devices, making implementation cost-effective. We actually used the RaspberryPi setup as part of a STEM learning opportunity for several elementary students from our local school!

The ability to customize interface when it comes to themes would be one area to look into. Each user should have that ability would a great add-on.

Very easy to set up from scratch. Our trial time was on a self-purchased Raspberry Pi. YoDeck's instructions for setting up a self-purchased player were easy to follow and I was up and running in 15 minutes. Since all media is pushed to players, rather than streaming, the WiFi bandwidth is kept to a minimum. The site itself is easy to navigate and mostly figure out without help. I contacted support on the couple items for which I had questions. They were either able to respond via chat or got back to me within a few hours via email. I really like the media handling of their site. Adding start and expiration dates makes it easier than checking daily to get rid of expired material. Layouts work great as we have our logo, the current date and time as well as a ticker and another entire playlist in a shrunken box on the screen at the same time.

Inconvénients

No real downsides or dislikes, but there are a couple things that could use improvement. One of them is I wish they would allow you to turn off audio on a video-by-video basis. The only audio controls they offer is the ability to set the TV volume to a certain level on a schedule. I don't need this. I want to be able to have a checkbox that enables or disables audio - or better yet - an audio playback level on a video-by-video basis.

Super easy to use! It's a breathe to upload or create your medias, and assign them to different screens. The integration with PowerBI, Sharepoint, is really nice and convenient. Technical support is super reactive and provide quick solutions.

We use Yodeck to manage dozens of factory floor displays, various types of medias. It's really quick and easy to change things on the fly.

Haven't found something to dislike yet.

The only issue we had was with the PowerBI integration (the email you use to login Yodeck must be the same as the email your use to login to your Microsoft account - which we couldn't figure out but was quickly resolved by the support team.)

Yodeck is a great option for small businesses that have little to no budget for digital signage and already have graphics made. I haven't used the customer service on the website but have found past comments from their reddit account useful.

Setting up my screen has not been without trial and error. The available apps are customizable to point (limited to fonts and colors). I have had issues adding audio to my layouts and changing the transitions between images. I have a free account, so these are minor to me.

It is really easy to use. When you upload media into one area, it's accessible in the other areas as well. You can set things up ahead of time for different days and add start and end times. There's also a preview function so you can see how the playlist will look on a loop.

Inconvénients

Some of the functions are a little clunky / less intuitive but it's really minor stuff, like if you have to click on the name or check the box next to it to select the item. But you get used to is with repeated use.

The easiest portal to navigate and so many options to post the context and push immediately to your screens.

The least is that sometimes the connection breaks and the screen has this border or zoom out effect but a simple reboot fixes this.

Yodeck is amazing for us, a small non-profit school with an afterschool program. I don't have time to change the content regularly but with the scheduling, tags, playlists, and customization I can put all the children's birthdays waaaay ahead of time and they will appear for their birthdays! With events I can do the same. I can easily upload images and schedule them to play until the end of the school year in the general playlist and then schedule completely different images to play during school breaks. I love Yodeck - it was everything I was looking for when I first started trying digital signage. I tried so many different services before choosing Yodeck, and it was the only one that did everything I needed.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it reboots on it's own or doesn't come back on without me doing it manually - I don't think this is Yodeck's fault, as their Amazon Firestick support is fairly new. I would love to get a Yodeck player but it is out of budget for our very small nonprofit school.

The whole experience of getting set up is as easy as it can be! Our company chose an annual plan, which included free hardware for running our digital signage. It arrived with all of the software pre-installed and configured, so we only had to plug it into the tv and turn it on! It even had our network credentials already set up and ready to go. Once it arrived, their support team scheduled a personalized one-on-one conference call with us to walk us through how to use their web software for running the signage and sent us helpful links and contact info for future inquiries. I feel like they really went above and beyond!

Inconvénients

I mostly don't have anything I don't like. The only small feedback that I gave YoDeck is that there seems to be confusion with date and time input when it comes to scheduling content times. I might want content to display from Jan 1 to Dec 31 between 9am and 5pm, but some screens and support reps interpret that as running non-stop from Jan 1 at 9am until Dec 31 at 5pm, while other understand that we mean daily from Jan 1 until Dec 31 with content starting each day at 9am and ending at 5pm. We did already relay this concern/potential confusion to YoDeck and they said they are taking a look at it to ensure that everything works as intended, and it may possibly have just been confusion or miscommunication on the part of tech support about how the related software screens work.
