Everything! This is probably, the one of the best decisions I have made for our company.

Inconvénients

So far, we would like to have other options than just "loop" entire videos, like, we would like to have the option for the timestamp get the exact same time as the imported video and only if we increase that time of the block, the will then loop.

Avantages

very user friendly and super easy to use Yodeck. The interface are very intuitive and the playtime scheduling enable display setup to be done in advance by planning ahead.

Inconvénients

Media management is easy to use but it lacks feature to download media in case you lost the original file in your computer.

The things I like are legion, Yodeck filled a gap in our presentation plan at first and then exceeded my expectations after I got it running and began playing with it on a deeper level. Remote web portal means I can update the display anytime an idea pops into my head. Multimedia support allows for closed captioned video as well as still images. Lastly, the apps (like weather and calendar) that allows me to layer them on our existing photos for a personal touch is very nice.

I have not found something that I wish Yodeck would do for me that it is not already capable of doing.

I like content pushing best on Yodeck because it allows our company to quickly and easily push content based on situations (emergency & daily)

There is not much we do not enjoy about Yodeck, if we had to give some feedback it would be to possibly include more templates for hotels.

Easy to use and quick to setup with free desktop web app that can be launched from any computer. Has a lot of features including kiosk modes.

I haven't had too many issues with the software as long as you have a stable internet connection you should have not problem.

I love that Yodeck allows me to schedule things in advance. I can schedule the moment I find out and simply move on with my day without any reminders. The multi-media is a must and the playlist make it simple to stream multiple things when it is needed.

I truly cannot think of many cons. I often put Client Logos in Yodeck, sometimes they look grainy. This is typically due to having to edit background out of photos. I wish Yodeck maybe had a way to do this on the website. But, isn't a huge bother.

I also liked the pre-built templates, which saved a lot of time and made it easy to create professional-looking displays

I was exploring options for a content display system for our IT Service Desk marketing and metric information, and found that with no previous experience with the product I was able to get integrate it seemlessly and have it up and running and displaying relevant content in minutes. It displays our information daily, and can be programmed to turn on/off at predetermined times. If/when I need to make adjustments to the content I want to display it can be prepared without affecting what is currently being displayed, and when ready it is applied with a click of the button. Customer support is there via chat and respond in a timely manner. There are online options for simple implementations, or hardware player options for larger implementations. I highly recommend it for any organisation or team.

I am currently waiting on development team to provide an option for content that requires systems to allow GET instead of POST requests.

Only a couple small areas are lacking.
1. Need roku player
2. Admin website could be more mobile friendly
3. No admin app on mobile.

None of these issues are show stoppers for us.

Very quick and easy to set up, even if using your own computer for the digital signage. It's simple and easy to change what you want displayed on your screen, as well as setting up playlists and schedules to keep it changing how you want/when you want. I absolutely LOVE the 1 free screen option that lets you try it out free of cost (with limited features) for one screen. If I ever need more screens, you can bet I'm going to be using Yodeck for those!

Inconvénients

The Schedule feature should be more flexible by giving you more power over controlling what displays, when. Currently, I have to add multiples of the same type of Layout throughout a month (or range of months) just to cover/display what I want, especially after a few day "break" in displaying. So far, it's still very good and easy to use, but it could be better.

We were looking for an option that didn't require a seperate player box for our tv in our retail store. The bonus of also being able to design our own layouts and playlists with ease is what set this apart from the other options we trialled.

The fact that this works with everything you need for free is a major bonus. We ended up expanding it to a couple of screens because of how easy it is to use.

It is now being used daily in store to show current promotions and customer images.

Nothing yet, would be cool if you could connect the audio stream to an iheartradio station though

I love how easy and simple the web interface is. It has allowed me to manage multiple screens from home to multiple locations. I can make the content setup as simple or complex as I would like. I can even program tvs to turn on an off as well as muting! I also like the pricing model that it is per screen and there are cheaper options for software based screens.

Inconvénients

I wish you could have one or two test screens. So you could see what is being displayed on a screen at your desk remotely without paying for another screen. I don't always know from a remote location if my text is big enough or if the settings are correct without being at the location.

Ease of use and setup. Updating programs to the screen is very simple. We use it in a school of 1400 kids and announcements are a breeze on the display. We are thinking of adding 8 more.

So far, the GUI Yodeck dashboard is very easy to work with. The price is good. I wouldn't say I don't like anything about it.

Yodeck is incredibly easy to use, manipulate, and understand while supporting more file types and media types than any other digital signage service I've seen. We are currently only using one monitor so use the service for free but would have no problem purchasing the plans to support more monitors. The value of the service is worth it. Playlists are super easy to create and manage, and the types of media you can display are numerous. Definitely very satisfied with Yodeck as a service!

There is nothing that I actively dislike about Yodeck, however I do wish there was a way to put an mp3 in a regular playlist to have backing music. Maybe there is a way to do this that I haven't found yet, but I haven't been able to stick an mp3 in a regular playlist yet.

Be able to update daily, easily, and build on the communication system within the hotel.

The programming took some messing around and trying to get a good WiFi signal. It was annoying to contact the company as you could not speak with anyone directly and had to go through email always. After many attempts to get one box working and emailing back and forth to trouble shoot the problem I finally had them mail me a new card, which I installed and was able to get the last screen working.

Setting up yodeck on raspberry pi players is super simple....all you have to do is download the image, put it on a micro sd card, plug it into your raspberry pi and power it up while hooked up to a monitor....Once booted up you simply add the registration code in your account. It's seriously that easy!

I have been a Yodeck customer for several years now....any con or negative that I had with Yodeck is from the earlier versions. I've been a customer long enough to see them evolve into who they are today.

Easy to use, easy to deploy. Lot of advanced features even in lower plans. You can find if a display has been manually turned off as well, and trigger it back on. Their apps/widgets seem to work well for what we've used.

Support and maintenance hours went from ~200hrs/yr to about 40hrs/yr in our situation.

Random intermittent single display odd issues. Usually fixable by pushing to the display again after a change. Intermittent being once a month or two.

Very easy to install and use. Uploading and organizing media and pushing to individual screens is a straight forward process and very intuitive. Plus I can do the work from home

Yodeck is easy to manage. I can post a colleague's advertisement to a playlist on a particular screen, with a scheduled range of dates for that particular ad, in only 2-3 minutes. Yodeck handles pdfs and multiple image formats, plus I can display live webpages. I scroll our daily newsletter posted online with one screen and cycle through image-based advertisements on another.

Inconvénients

Sometimes our displays have failed to see the raspberry pi in an HDMI slot. Troubleshooting requires that you create a new scheduled time for your media to display while you troubleshoot. The process of creating additional schedules to troubleshoot outside of normal "live" timeframes is frustrating.

Additionally, video must download to the raspberry pi, so (to my knowledge) you cannot use Yodeck to stream video on a screen.

It's very easy to use on my computer at home or at work. I only use one screen so the price is right, too - free! It runs on a tv and a FireStick. No expensive hardware to buy.

I've demo'd several services and each had their own pro's but YoDeck has the most flexibility, best apps, best functionality. I've tried the pi player, Windows player, and web player. All work great. Using the Windows player converts the OS so you don't have to worry about autologin etc. It just boots up and goes to town. The weather app is much easier to you. I like how there are playlists, and layouts. It makes it where there is so much flexibility

Others didn't have the features that YoDeck has but if I had a recommendation for a feature, it would be a way to insert crawling text over everything. I have a playlist cycling through layouts. I could really use a crawling text that would continue scrolling, even over the cycling layouts. If it was applied to the "screen" like the emergency alert stuff that would be a huge wanted feature.

We use the monitor in our business every day, Yodeck is easy to switch on for the ladies at the front desk.
We turn off the monitor every day due to power usage, but if you are less concious about that and want to switch playlists of switch a monitor off depending on the time of the day that is absolutely possible.

Integration with other tools is pretty smooth, you can import URLS to display websites and have live traffic data for example.
I have not had any problems with customer support so far.

On the free plan, only one monitor is available.
If you do not use a raspberryPi, you have to set it up with a HDMI and a laptop, with a bigger monitor as your 2nd screen. However, sometimes the browser crashes and we have to reset. Takes about a minute before we're up again

I feel the best thing about the Yodeck has been how many different file formats it will accept. Our previous solution was cumbersome to get files converted to specific requirements. The implementation of the product is fantastic. During the device order process, you can give it the wifi authentication and assign the playlist. It starts working as soon as you take it out of the box and plug it in. Very easy to use.

Inconvénients

This is not a deal breaker, but I would like to see more built-in plugins. Things like daily, business appropriate, trivia, jokes, or this day in history type slides.

I've tried scheduling a video that was seasonal but once the date I had set had passed, it never reverted to the previous display so I just had to manually switch it. Pushing changes to the screens is so easy though, it didn't bother me.
