The features Yodeck gives you with the free account are enough to start using the display immediately. Also, with the player being set up by Yodeck, you do not need to be tech-savvy converting a Pi or computer yourself.

Inconvénients

I understand that they need to make money, but there are some features in the layout settings I would like to be able to use without paying for the monthly account. Although you do get a player with the purchase of an account so it's not that bad. I'm just trying to keep the monthly cost down. Also, I would like to see some of the Apps have a little more control. For example, the birthday app will display a birthday on the date based on a spreadsheet. This is great, but when there isn't a birthday you get a blank slide or you can set a default photo (from a web page). I would much rather see the slide just skipped, like a scheduled media.

Simple set up and get results quickly on screen. If you can't find something on the interface you just keep clicking on tabs and you can find what you need.

As a complete novice to the digital world, I love how user friendly Yodeck is, it is not the first player I have tried to use, the others put me off with complexities like coding and IT literacy. I just wanted a simple, idwally free to use player for 1 display, however I am now putting a case together to look at rolling this platform throughout my service.

I do think the scheduling tool is a little clunky but that may just be me!

The Yodeck player has been phenomenal at our Apartment Community. I can create flyers for events that we are having and upload them for our residents to know what we have planned for them. It definitely beats printing off flyers and posting them throughout the community!

Activating on an Android TV took a bit longer because of the manufacturers default viewer, but a quick google sorted the problems. Extra video tutorials from YoDeck on how to setup Android TV players would be beneficial as the current videos our outdated.

Very easy to use. We had a few extra Raspberry pi's laying around that we thought to use for dashboards. Took us literally less than 10 minutes getting everything up and running.

The most important feature for us was customization. Since we wanted to embed looker studio dashboards, then we needed custom JavaScript to trigger fullscreen and autoplay. Was easy to do with Yodeck.

Inconvénients

We did have some challenges around wifi connection. During our setup we experienced that saving in the interface and pushing it to the screen would wipe the wifi password. This was easily resolved once we narrowed it down to supply the password in the yodeck interface and not just through the config on the sd card. But it did take us some debugging hours to locate this issue.

We were currently using Google Chrome Sign Builder as our signage option for tvs throughout the building, but since Sign Builder is going to no longer be supported, it forced us to explore other options. We are glad it did. We are still able to incorporate a published Google Slide show, managed by students, but also other things such as video, websites, and other apps. There is a wide variety of options, and customizability. We couldn’t be happier with the ease of setup and maintenance.

We wish the plans were more affordable for school districts. Most companies will give district’s a discount based on size or student population, or some educational rate. With our district cutting costs, it seems unlikely that we can purchase the number of units that we would need, because it forces us to purchase an annual subscription, which is way out of our current budget.

First, the pros – and believe me, they're HUGE. This Yodeck, it's got the best organization. The best. Nobody does it better. You get those tools up on the wall, neat, tidy, ready to go. It's like having a beautiful, streamlined factory for your garage. Believe me, the best people are saying it's fantastic.

Now, the cons. Frankly, Yodeck could be more flashy, more luxurious. We're talking gold-plated hooks, folks. Diamond-studded rails. Yodeck needs to scream success, America! And let's face it, the price, it's not for everyone. It's an investment, a powerful investment, but not for the average Joe.

Easiest to use digital sign software of a dozen I have tried. We have three screens in three different buildings and I can have different times for each building to be on or off as well as unique content to each screen. I especially like that content can expire, I run a theatre so it’s nice to be able to advertise upcoming shows then they are automatically removed after their scheduled end.

I wish video transcoding had an option to toggle off without having to reach out to tech support but they have responded quickly the couple of times I have reached out.

Easy to use and setup, the support team was also helpful when i had a question about unsupported devices that I used and they do not recommend, they still did what they could to help me.

Adding time to each individual images or content piece in a rotating playlist can be time consuming, i use the same time length for every image, and i cannot just set up one time limit for all images, but i have to add the same seconds to each image individually.

I like how there are sooooo many apps that are integrated into Yodeck that I was able to just pick what I wanted and display. I was able to mix and match Google Slide's with an RTMP link and the Weather app and put into a playist and have it just rotate through. Awesome

As of right now I have no complaints. It would freeze every now and then need a reboot but after setting up to have it reboot every morning on it's own, runs great and no more freezing.

We have several screens in our office, but as a small business we struggled to keep them running with helpful dashboards. Sure there are expensive enterprise systems, but we don't have the budget for those large IT systems. This is a very inexpensive way of creating a dashboard on our shared TV screens.

Websites that require authentication are always tricky to get working on a dash-boarding system like this. We get good success with LookerStudio but it requires some developer scripting to work with other websites with a custom system to get logged in.

After figuring set up, it was smooth sailing to get my digital display showcasing my playlist filled with content to attract people to our store. Now I can manage the content remotely and check in whenever the activity of each monitor I have attached a Yodeck player to. Their plans are affordable and dashboard easy to use. I can conveniently change content online whenever needed and ensure the content is displayed properly without needing to physically be in front of the screen. The demo was quick and easy. The customer support is great. The monitor has been active every day and their system even alerts me for any inconsistencies when a monitor is offline more than usual, which was awesome.

Inconvénients

It was a bit tricky to figure out setting up the Yodeck player onto a monitor, but I now understand how it works with information from their knowledge base to use the correct settings. It's unfortunate they will be increasing their pricing soon, but that inevitable due to inflation. Overall, there is not much to dislike as it is straight forward once you complete the set up properly. Nothing has malfunctioned so far and I hope this can be a long term solution. I wish they priced in Canadian so Canadian customers can pay in their currency.

Low cost, plenty of configuration options, reliable. Setting up a Raspberry Pi as a player is very easy to do and the platform is reliable. Has just enough integrations to get any data I want to display on the screen in some form. One of those rare apps where I haven't considered swtiching to an alternative yet.

Inconvénients

It takes a while to recognise all the different configurables and how they work together. Once you work that it it's pretty easy to use.

Avantages

I love being able to upload my own pictures and slideshows to have them presented how I want them. It is pretty easy to navigate through files I have uploaded and change any playlists or displays on my TV's. The support team is also extremely helpful and in a very timely manner.

Inconvénients

Not many cons of Yodeck. If I had to put something, it would maybe just be to be able to move files from folder to folder easier, or a bulk move/edit/delete option. Unless it is user error on my part which is possible.

Nothing, I chose it because it was cheaper than the other options but I should have just paid more for a different company in the first place to avoid wasting so much time.

I loved that I could use an existing Raspberry PI we had been using for another signage product to run the software freely for an initial display and test.

At the moment, the only real cons are related to limitations on newer display options that have we have experimented with on a test account, but those are minor and won't likely impact future display expansions being considered.

I like that I can use the screen to communicate with my entire team at all times. Creating info graphics, displaying sales standings, playing promotional video, etc. All of that is why we use Yodeck. We got it over 3 years ago when we started our business and it remains the first thing we turn on in the morning when we open - we use it every day. It was extremely easy to set up and integrate into our business. Customer service has been great the couple of times I have reached out.

I wish there were more customizations/apps that we could integrate, but we have always found a work around for any thing we disliked.

What I like most about Yodeck is how easy the dashboard is to use. We can quickly make adjustments to our announcements and push it to all the players from one webpage. It also provides security to keep students from making unwanted changes.

The only issue we had with Yodeck is we have the basic players. This caused issues with trying to use multi-layer layouts, but the customer service team was great. They helped us figure out how we can make our layouts work for us.

After looking at several solutions to bring this to the business and Yodeck is pretty good value solution on the whole. It has a lot of functionality including Sharepoint integration which we plan to use in one of the locations.

It can be a little cumbersome I find when you first start out. Trying to find your way around the playlists you have created etc they also sent all the boxes to one location when I place two separate orders for different locations.

It's easy-to-use interface is the #1 perk that sold us. I can't stress how easy it was to setup our Yodeck presentation. The content layouts are extremely helpful in getting started, and I like how there's many types of apps that will integrate with your presentation.

I have been very happy with their available video tutorials to walk you through each step you can think of. I was originally trying to setup the calendar with an unused Amazon Fire Stick and was very happy to see how easier it was with the Yodeck player, not to mention that it was preloaded with all information including wifi credentials to truly be plug and play.

Inconvénients

I only have 1 really con to this point. That is that the Yodeck player doesn't seem to like to automatically connect to my google account. So whenever, the internet or power cuts out I have to manually do it by bringing over a keyboard and mouse. I have tried to mess with my google security settings to allow it, to no luck thus far. Also, just a small note that trying to login with an @ symbol for email apparently has a different keyboard location in the UK than in the US, but once you realize that it is no issue.

Playlists and schedules are easy to set up and deploy. Im able to get others in the office with not much experience to use the templates and widgets with ease.

No mobile app. I believe when Im out on the floor looking at one of the 12 different digital signs in the building it would be nice to be able to open an app, maybe even connect to it via bluetooth to make minor changes or even to reboot or reload content

Avantages

It's easy to set up and easy to manage. It's basically plug n' play. Once your content is created, it's easy to set up your playlists and it's live within minutes on your screens.
