User Friendly and streamlined

Initiating the software was so easy. A representative met with me weekly to discuss progress and the needs of staff and the company.

Avantages

Their customer support representatives are knowledgeable and friendly. I have never waited more than an hour to resolve a problem.

Inconvénients

It doesn't have all of the functions that I look for, but it is a great program

Best for our facility

Avantages

I love that everything is in one place. My role in ECP as the BOM is easy and simple. It's easy to find information needed and to keep track of observation notes as well.

Inconvénients

Nothing, I think it's perfect for our facility. Never to many issues. The only time I got frustrated was when it went down for a day, but other than that its been geat.

GREAT EXPERIENCE

I have called multiple times and have always received great service with friendly tech people.

Avantages

Allot of time saving options that make charting easy.

Inconvénients

Some features were difficult to set up, but customer service was amazing at helping with this!!

BEWARE

Horrible Company. They trick you into a 3 year contract and will not release you from the contact even though you decide after 1 month you do not like the program.
So you are supposed to know you like the program after watching a demo. Not happy with their business practices at all.

Avantages

The program is great for larger facilities. We sre only 10 beds. It's too complicated for our small home

How they lock you into a 3 year contract without consent.

ECP no easy

I have used it for 4 years. I learn something new every day. Some good some bad.

Avantages

the cart set up screens. Easy to identify a resident.

Inconvénients

To many ways to enter one entry. ie Treatment, daily task. Care plan, single care

ECP and the easy implementation

ECP implementation impact, easy, integration

ECP staff have been incredibly helpful, from sales to help desk, billing, and pharmacy support.

Avantages

Daily task lists and easily customized care plans allow for simple and effective charting and tracking of facility duties. It is some work to get set up, but ECP has great support staff to aid in the process. Charting is very simple and easy to follow. Pharmacy integration eases order processing, verifying orders and changes.

Inconvénients

Reordering medication requires review before being submitted to pharmacy

Decreased time spent on med pass, decreased errors with med pass, easier to pullup reports about medications, vitals etc from anywhere in buidling.

Easy to use and easy to teach how to use.

ECP Review

My usage is somewhat limited in my capacity in HR. However, overall ECP has been positive with many options to facilitate ease of sharing/tracking information. I am also pleased with the response time in resolution when issues arise from user error.

Avantages

Ease of accessibility to recent notes and training is specifically helpful for my needs.

Inconvénients

ECP has met my current needs. It is user friendly.

ECP Assisted Living Management and MAR

They deserve a Gold Star

Avantages

Price (Smile) it is more oriented toward "Client Care" and ease of use compared to some systems that are Accounting, or Billing oriented. We started with MARS which out pharmacy "Populated" most of the program for us, Then it took about a week for caregivers to begin doing "Incident Reports" nest we began the "Observations" which are the care notes and Change of Conditions . ECP just "Sucks you in" and makes it very easy and fun to do documentation. And just as you begin to think I wish they addressed an idea I found it had been addressed and better than I had in mind. These programmers are familiar with caregiving. The support help have been awsome, smart, polite, knowledgeable, do not beat around the bush they know what I am asking and have direct, correct answers

Inconvénients

Language and defenitions . What I am calling something is not what ECP calls it, but when I mentioned it they did have good answers and I think they did great at reaching universally acceptible terms, I learned to call "Notes" and COC "Observations".

ECP Customer Service

We had been using ECP for many years and were able to convert easily from paper charting. Over the years there were a couple of glitches but when we called customer service we were given their full attention and assistance. We are now running well and they are available for us when we need them. The customer service team at ECP are willing to research and teach as well as walk us through an issue to get to a resolve.

Avantages

ECP enables us to recall resident information, gather statistics for our vitals for Dr. visits, schedule tasks for our caregivers, and monitor our medication pass information.

Inconvénients

There are not any features we don't like at this time.

ECP REVIEW, by Tanya Neubert from Prairie Home Assisted Living

Very Good!

Avantages

Very user friendly for staff to use and its used across the fox valley so many caregivers are familiar with the program. Also, the customer service staff are AMAZING, they are always kind, helpful, patient, and have excellent follow up.

Inconvénients

For follow ups such as patches, Somehow make a follow up that can immediately ask them if they removed the previous patch. I am currently only able to do it 5 minutes later and we have to enter a separate patch removal as a treatment. Staff often forget to remove the old ones if we are not doing this. One other suggestion I'd like to put out there is I wish we could select certain parts of the ISP for the "active cares" that we want to for a quick reference for our staff. Even though it is a shortened version, it still is not efficient for us. Our hopes was the active cares would be similar to a form you'd see printed off in nursing homes on patients doors with instructions for CNA's. We have a few different forms we use like this internally but it would be amazing to have something be made from the ISP so your not re doing the work in two different area's. Currently we use a separate form which has the following areas listed on one page. These are the main topics with a few examples: Mental Status (example-alert/oriented) -Speech (example-difficult to understand)-Mobility Assistance(example-Wheelchair)- Transfer Assistance-Grooming Assistance-Special Equipment- Eyesight/Hearing- Medical Monitoring- Paralysis-Skin-Bathing Assistance-Oral Care-Dressing- Eating Assistance- Toileting Assistance-Night Services- Behaviors/Safety- Medications- Activities- Advanced Directives- Appointments- Housekeeping- Other Services - Evacuation Capability in Emergency.

Perfect Software

ECP has almost eliminated the need to store paper files for residents, compliance, and even employee files.

Avantages

ECP's overall function is easy to navigate, even for someone that may not have the best computer skills. Charting, compliance, and internal notes just for staff communication are top-notch.

Inconvénients

I feel ECP is missing a calendar tab. A Calendar tab where management could enter appointments and events that would prompt staff.

ecp review

I would Highly recommend, this website is easy to use and all of you employees will love how easy it is to access resident’s information about how to go about cares, if the resident has specifics on what they like and don’t like. How to properly provide care for the resident.

Avantages

I love how it is easy to navigate, and everything is right in arms reach. I love that it’s all on one site and it doesn’t take you to a different website just to document about you day with residents.

Benefits and ease of using the ECP

Wo Derulo experience from incident reporting to being able to make work orders is extremely helpful.

Avantages

One of the most important reasons I like this software is the ease of reporting on our residents forthe team to see in real time.

Inconvénients

The only thing I dislike about the software is the times of scheduled trainings and not having accessibility to watch the trainings after the class is done. I am an overnight worker and I love to learn, but am not able to participate because it is during sleeping hours for me.

The ECP system makes my job much easier and my employees find it easy to understand.

Avantages

How easy it was to learn and understand the system. When we did have an issue the help desk was right there to get us up and running.

I have found no issues with this system.

Review of ECP

We have been using ECP for 8 years now. I have been approached by other companies to look at their product, but there are little things ECP has that others don't.

Avantages

This software has all we need right at our finger tips. Especially for medpassers in a CBRF. They are not nurses so the picture of meds, the uses, the ability to look at the drug use. The fact that as an Administrator of the business I can go back and look at alot of different reports that are important to me. The ease of charting is so helpful otherwise it doesn't get done to my specifications. I also like the fact that our pharmacy is directly linked to ECP.I feel it is very easy to use, even for a person who is not a computer person.Customer service is awesome.

Inconvénients

I am not sure I have "least" remark about the software.

ECP

Overall I have had all good experiences with ECP. It has made my world as Administrator much easier. The ECP team when you call the office are nothing but friendly and will work to help you solve your issues. I never feel rushed and to me that is important to learn things slowly

Avantages

I come from old school where everything was hand written and kept in resident charts. This is so much easier and neater, easy to find history on anything I am looking for without having to dig through years of files. I am able to monitor how the residents are daily, I can monitor medication passes to make sure things are being done.

Inconvénients

There is really nothing that I dont like, I just think there is so much I dont understand and could really use some training on things to better utilize all areas. One area I would really like to learn is using ECP for ISP's. Right now i had write all of them

In my 6+ years using ECP, it has been a positive experience and is overall helpful.

Avantages

ECP is very helpful in our day to day workplace. Easy to use. Charting, documenting, reordering meds, destroying meds, resident information and more is right at my fingertips. So easy to use.

Inconvénients

No chat support. Inventory on meds and med destruction.

User friendly and customizable.

We use ECP for our EHR, our EMAR and most of our clinical applications across our 11 large Assisted Living/Memory Care communities. They are so good to work with and their customer support is extraordinary. I email about once a month over something or other which is usually an upgrade in the software.

Avantages

I like that I can customize assessments for the team. ECP offers assessments for most states that are state required (like in Utah) for Assisted Living. Most of the team can teach themselves the software really easily. It is very user friendly.

Inconvénients

Every software has it's limitations and there are a few things that are a little wonky with ECP. I wish there was a way in the assessment that you could say if you select yes to an option, it opens up more of an assessment but if you say no it doesn't show up. Its a small thing. I anticipate this is an option ECP would develop someday. However, ECP is so good to work with that if this was something that was absolutely needed, they would make it happen.

Questions and Behavior Cares.

All resident information and medications in on place is very helpful. Being able to access ECP when not in the building (on-call etc.) is extremely beneficial. I like having contact information in there as well.
If there was a way to indicate when a resident is on home health vs hospice that would be helpful

Avantages

All documentation for all residents easily accessible.

Inconvénients

Some features are not as user friendly as I would like. The Behavior Management Plan has to be typed into both locations on the form. The Questions work around is better than initially set up, but if you have to edit an existing question it has to be deleted and reentered as a new item so a little cumbersome there. Also have to type in the questions again so that is 3 times entering the information. Streamlining that would be helpful.

Wonderful System

This is wonderful for all auditing purposes from our own company to government agencies.

Ecp training

Love doing documentation and meds on computer, hate that there is so much more I could be using if I just was trained more on how to use ALL that is available.

Avantages

Seems easy to use once you are trained on a topic

Inconvénients

No personal training, on-site training. Although help line always pleasant and helpful need some one to one personal training to get full use of the system. Can't solve everything on a 20 minute phone call

RN perspective on ECP

Workers are doing a better job of charting and there are fewer med errors than with paper.

Avantages

It is super easy to learn, you don't have to go through a pile of pages to get to a client, very easy to enter info and print needed info for appts!

Inconvénients

The app is not as user friendly as the PC program.

Assisted Living Setting

It has been great for documenting resident care. I haven't integrated staff information yet but that is on my next "to do" list.

Avantages

This software is rather intuitive and what one can't figure out, the very fast response time from customer service makes it very easy to use. Turns out very professional documents. It also provides mini workshops only 20-40 minutes in length that aid learning.

Inconvénients

The sign in feature is such that it has to be done every time on logs in. Would prefer that it could be laptop specific.

ECP User

User Friendly

My experience with ECP has been great so far

Avantages

ECP is very user friendly. I’m not the strongest with learning a new system. ECP has been by far the easiest system to navigate. The help desk has been great. [sensitive content hidden]
has been amazing.

Inconvénients

The previous system that we were using the med pass was easier to navigate. For instance once you provided medication for a resident the face on the Home Screen went away or the face was greyed out on the screen.

Comprehensive and easy to use!!

Avantages

This product is very user friendly, even if you've never been in the healthcare industry. It is great to be able to see quickly who passed meds when needed. The system does med counts for you and even reorders the scripts and they get delivered straight to you.Their customer service is top notch, they will talk you through anything you need help with.

Inconvénients

I didn't get trained enough from my organization so it took some time to work out the kinks. I don't care for the fact that other people have access to the same info, it can be removed easily by someone else.

ECP for Resident Care in AL CBRF

I love using ECP, I have used a few documentation system over the years geared toward AL/CBRF and this is by far my favorite to use. Also there tech support is beyond great and helpful!

Avantages

I love the customization as a administrative you can implement. Also its easy for care staff to use and especially people who are not "tech savy".

Inconvénients

Some items are not logically labeled unless you know where to look for them.

Great Med MAR Program

Solving med errors, ensuring correct medications are given to the correct individuals. Optimizing patient safety.

Avantages

Simple, easy to use and navigate. Easy to get customization for items needed. Support always available during implementation and set up. LOVE the access to side effects, training and having all that mass of information in one place! Love that you can input one provider and assign them to multiple individuals, makes it sooo much easier!

Inconvénients

As an industry as a whole something needs to be done about communication of behaviors and a simple way to train staff/nurse at hosptial's on how to care for an individual who is non-verbal, allowing continuity of care without frustration on nursing staff or the individual.

ECP review

Amazing! I use it 80% of my 8 hour shifts for quit literally everything. If ECP were to go down i’m not sure what we all would do. Its a lifeline for our care.

ECP Review

Overall, I have been immensely pleased with ECP.

Avantages

Integrating this system into our company has made a world of difference. We have reduced our use of paper and our ability to track cares and charting for our clients has become much more efficient.

Inconvénients

I have spoken with ECP support regarding this issue, but we are not able to enter in readings for BSL levels when the meter reads "hi" or "lo" (versus a number).

NEW USER

While we are still newly transitioning, they try to be very flexible in working with us and our schedule.

Avantages

We have not gone live yet, but I have had a little experience with ECP in a prior job. I did not get any training at that time, and this software is friendly enough, that I still was able to jump right in and go. Anytime I had questions, I could call customer service and they were available right away and helped me get to where I needed.

Inconvénients

We are still in the integration phase. I wish we could have someone in person helping us through the initiation phase and not remotely. I do not like that the 'classification' for medications is just to help trigger rules. There really should be a true Drug Classification. The Drug Info link also is difficult to find the drug class. This is how the CBRF Med Administration course teaches, based off of drug classes, as well as nursing. Pharmacology is split into drug classes because indications for meds can be variable, the drug class tells you how the drug will affect your body. I really wish this was on there.

ECP-Easy to train...easy to use

Avantages

If you can browse the internet or shop online, you can use ECP. It is easy to teach staff how to use, it is user friendly to customize, pharmacy integration saves valuable nursing time, customer service is excellent. We have been very happy with ECP overall.

Inconvénients

The program is not always stable while using a Chromebook. The demand causes the computer to freeze and require restarting.

Stanford Lodge

With ECP we were able to go from charting in folders to computerized. It's a very nice addition to our facility

Avantages

ECP was introduced to our Facility through Home Town Pharmacy. It has made a world of difference to myself and staff. With having the ability to monitor residents and their medications.

Inconvénients

No real Issues with ECP its self. I sometimes have to wait awhile for Pharmacy to upload changes to medications. It seems to work out in the long run.

Easy and user friendly

ECP review

Avantages

It is extremely beneficial to have so much information all located in a central location. It is a great communication tool as well. We would never want to be without it

Inconvénients

In the last several months, ECP has frozen on our computer and we have to log out and re-enter to get back in. We have called, but still no solutions on why this is happening. It is quite frustrating

I highly recommend ECP to anyone working in Assisted Living or Long Term Care.

Avantages

The staff and myself find this system to be very easy to use and learn.

Inconvénients

There is nothing that I don't like at this point.
