Good software, but don't be fooled by "free"

Avantages
This is a useful and easy to use software system. It was easy to implement and has been effective.
Inconvénients
The features needed by most (if not all) businesses are not included in the "free" version, so user beware that although it starts as free, it quickly becomes yet another line-item on your monthly subscription list.

Easy to set up and use. Scheduling and sending my payroll info to my accountant is very easy.
Avantages
The scheduling is my favorite. Very easy to change and update information. Also are able to keep track of availability
Inconvénients
Can't mark a week as paid. Would like to pay an employee and close out the week. Also would like to mark as called in sick

Going well and staff enjoy it
Avantages
Staff able to see the schedule online and also able to sign up for extra shifts and request trades and days off. Decrease paper trail and those getting lost.
Inconvénients
If each department could have their own separate platform. For example Emergency Room and Inpatient. I can pick what department I want to see. If there is a way now to do that I haven't figured it out.

I like how easy it was to use to begin use...its almost self explanatory!
Inconvénients
Lets say I make changes to the current schedule and I don't copy it to the next week before I make the changes when I finally do copy I've got to remember the changes that were made and correct them. There is no undo or go back for example if I accidentally change or delete something it is what it is.

The best work schedule manager app
Avantages
This app is extremely helpful in laying out my schedule for work for a given week. It allows me to see who I'll be working with on a certain day, and also gives me the option of switching or claiming open shifts.
Inconvénients
The only thing aspect of Homebase I think could be improved is the ability to set a specific date range to view wages, rather than going solely by week or month.

Perfect Application for Time Tracking and Payroll
Avantages
I love the separate Time Clock app that can be installed on an iPad for my employees to be able to quickly clock in and clock out on a daily basis.
Inconvénients
A bit difficult to set up at first, and free version is quite limited in terms of features and functionality.

Easy to use
For a small business starting out it is nice to have something easy to use and quick. We have used Homebase for 6 Months and haven't had any issues. We are using the most simple form of Homebase but there are many options we will consider as the Company grows.

Great service - it made scheduling so much easier
Avantages
Not only did it make the scheduling easier, it allows my staff to check their schedules from home and sign up for open shifts remotely. The ability to create templates made it possible to create schedules months ahead of time so everybody can make plans more easily.
Inconvénients
We just started experimenting with clocking in and out. It would be nice if staff could clock in once in the morning and then simply clock out at the end of the day. Right now, when a staff member changes Service Desks, they'll have to sign out and then sign in again.

It has been great so nice to see the income and what to expect.
Avantages
I love that the app shows you your time clock and pay and tips everyday and it is simple to keep track of so you can plan your bills.
Inconvénients
It doesn't always load it lake a few times to reload the pay before it shows so it will say $0.00 but then after you reload it then it shows your actual earnings.

love, love, love! This product is easy, helps coordinate things with employees, and reduces errors.
Avantages
I am absolutely crazy for this product! Employees can schedule their own shifts, request time off in an organized fashion, and training is so easy. You can also hire straight off of home base!
Inconvénients
I wish you could jump dates instead of having to scroll through the whole calendar, but it's not a big deal.

Can not copy a shift from day to day
Avantages
individuals can log in and sign up for shifts that are open.
Inconvénients
I have not found a way to copy a shift to the same person for future weeks. Some people work the same shift every week and some don't so I cannot copy an entire week over and over. But I sure would like to be able to schedule Maryland and Dan for the same shifts every week.

It provided an efficient and clean interface for employee management, scheduling and time clocking!

Easy to use, clocks you in quick, no hassle to get where you need to go, intuitive once you know what you’re doing.
Inconvénients
Not much to be said negatively from a user standpoint. Gave me my schedule easily, the hardest thing was remembering my id number!

Scheduling is easy and it allows me to build it as I need depending on department.
Avantages
Easy to use, no one can state they didn't know their schedule as it is texted to them. I can color co-ordinate the schedule to assign various tasks. If I change the schedule, I can have it sent only to those affected instead of bombarding everyone.
Inconvénients
I want to utilize the time clock but it's not as generic as I would like. I on't like that I have to have them log in under a management log in every time. I would rather it be super simple to where they can select their name and clock in or out.

I think it was easy to set up and some features are very easy to use.
Inconvénients
I wish I could decline people's request for a shift instead I have to delete the shift and re add it if I do not want to approve an employee for that shift. It is an inconvenience and very time consuming.

Perfect for our small business.
There are a lot of options to choose from for an employee time clock and scheduling software. I tried another one on their 14 trial and I liked it a lot, but it would have been a month just to see how many hours our employees worked for payroll! After the 3rd day of my trial period with Homebase, I purchased their second tier for a fraction of the other software's cost.
Avantages
Homebase is very affordable for our small business, which averages about 10 employees. Our scheduling manager loves it and so do our employees. Having it as an app on my phone makes it very quick and easy to see who is working or scheduled to work. There is an amazing amount of features on Homebase. The time sheets are very easy for payroll with my Quick Books desktop. We couldn't be more pleased.
Inconvénients
Only two cons that I have noticed: 1) It integrates with many POS systems, but not with the one we use, which is RAIN. 2) It integrates with one type of QB, but not with the desktop version.

Great for Scheduling
I use the scheduling a lot as well as the time clock features and hiring features.
Avantages
I love the scheduling and timeclock features the most. It's so intuitive and easy to use. Also, the ability to access it from anywhere is a huge advantage.

I used this app at my old job. It’s good to keep track of the hours I worked. And the shifts I was scheduled to work on.
Avantages
I was able to clock in from my phone at work.
Inconvénients
I’d always have to remember the password to access the account. I wish they could use Touch ID. Also sometimes it wouldn’t let me clock in from my phone.

Our time clock is not synced to Homebase, so I'm pretty sure the app says I've been absent every game.

i require that all sign in if they want to get paid for their hours. That stick has seemed to work because there are no excuses now for not signing in and out
Inconvénients
i am not sure how to set up the schedule for each person but i havent worked that much with it. We only have 2 people and they work the same schedule so it is not so hard without a schedule except the daily emails tell me they are "not scheduled"

Most convenient scheduling app
This app has made scheduling almost effortless. I also really like the feature of my weekly reports comparing my employee salary expenses vs revenue generated. It even breaks it down per employee if you'd like. Im completely satisfied and happy I downloaded and use this app.

It is so easy to use, and unmlike other scheduling software, it seems designed with the workers in mind.
Inconvénients
I am hard pressed to find a con here. I suppose the app itself could look better. It's not the prettiest, and the color scheme is ugly.

Homebase automatically imported all my employees from my Clover system and has made scheduling, payroll, and shift switching a breeze.

I haven’t found anything that I would need the Homebase doesn’t already supply. Five stars.

Labor tracking, time clock and ease of use. The ability for employees to use the time clock with picture capture is awesome!
Inconvénients
Wish the time clock was available for managers on phone app. I have had some managers and owners that want their employees to report directly to them soon arrival. They don't always have a tablet or iPad with them. So having this on their phone would be easier.
