Very easy to use. Very good customer support and updates.

A little bit slow when loading documents.

Avantages

Papers are easily loaded into the diligent system and once published and shared with members they have instant access to board papers.
Any part of an agenda can be updated and papers replaced without needing to redo the whole board pack.
Diligent provides the instant access to board papers and overcomes the need to mailing out large board packs, mailing costs and the time it takes having mail delivered which can takes days.

Inconvénients

can only load 1 paper and not multiple papers into an agenda item at once.

The thing I like most about Diligent boards is that it saves you time, money and is efficient.

It can take time to upload documents for various reasons i.e. uploading process can be cumbersome.

This package makes every meeting so easy to have papers out to your Board members. You can select the Chair to preview before releasing to the Board, add spreadsheets that give view access from excel, no more printing agenda or papers.......I have found the 24/7 support team fantastic. This is a MUST for EA who have responsibilities for more than 2 Boards. Everything all in one place.

Inconvénients

Initially I thought I would never be able to learn how.........but support team have been so helpful. I like having notes for instructions in step-by-step form, with someone to hand-hold. This was top of the training list.

Customer support is excellent. Forgot my password, called the number on my screen and I was back in operation in a few minutes.

The "drag and drop" feature is very effective instead of having to go through the browser to upload attachments. You require two monitors to do this.

Having to re-link the table of contents once it was final and a new addition had to be inserted but due to recent upgrades this is no longer the case.

Diligent team is amazing, they are available 24/7 to answer any questions or queries, are always very helpful and resolves any issues immediately. The software is easy to use once you get used to it, has a nice look to the portal and building board packages couldn't be easier by using drag and drop.

It does take a little but to get familiar with the functions and creating board packages but once you learn the basics, its an amazing portal to use.

Not sure if I am wrong, but is there a way to track change like I do in MS Word? Most of our documents are working papers, and the Board members provide input in track changes, so that the staff can accept/reject/ or edit the proposed changes. I don't see this feature in Diligent, unless I am not aware of it.

Sharing of information via `sticky notes. We use it to provide comments and questions prior to meetings and this allows Management to be prepared with answers.

Folder presentation - have to search through to find folder with current date material. This is could be an administration filing issue and not a problem with the program

Ease of setting up minutes and linking to Reading Rooms where required. Ease of using product in meetings. I think the product will take a little while to bed in but I like the look of it. It is good for board directors to see archived books which was not the case with BoardPad.

Inconvénients

Need to speed up scrolling through papers by allowing scrolling downwards rather than sideways.
Need to allow users to email non-annotated pages.

Highly practical, user friendly tool to go paper-free at the Board level

once you have had a basic level of training on its features, not difficult to use at all

You do not have to convert documents to PDF prior uploading them into a pack.

A pack (in theory) can be generated and built quite quickly.

Inconvénients

Performance is slow, the pauses whilst waiting time for system to do an action are long and could be improved. This ends up making the builing a book process fairly long.

There are also too many clicks to approve a book or tabs - could be improved by allowing documents and agenda tabs to be approved by right clicking the tab/paper that require approval and approving at that level.

When I first logged on I thought this is easy. Soon realized it was more difficult than it looked. The staff made an appointment for training when they did not have a space open. After the training I was able to add a document without assistance. Two weeks later, after midnight, working from home, I needed assistance.
I called the help line and received immediate help.

The fact that it seems like it has its own intuitive mind and does things that just make life so much easier, and really...for the first time demonstrates how to do a meeting without paper.
