Inconvénients

I'd like to see the Calendar function be more effective, but I believe that's in the pipeline.
Doesn't matter how good the software is, if a Director doesn't want to use it, they won't!
That you have to buy separate components.

Avantages

The Diligent board book software brought our board activities into the 21st century! No more huge binders and ready access for all board members. Plus, excellent record keeping of all board actions as well as all underlying committees.

Customer service is amazing. Like the ability to reuse templates so I don't have to re-type everything.

Used mainly for survey services, voting, and completing and sharing pdf/document annotations. Easy to use platform with lots of functionality.

Other free services offer similar products but separately, but Diligent is one of the only services I've used that compiles these together in a package. Thus, maybe pricing could be worked on?

Uploading documents and organising Board packs is quite easy. The flow of Board pack preparation and distribution is easy to navigate.

Formatting the notification email that advises Board and Committee members that packs are ready would be good. Most especially it would be useful to have the hyperlink to the Diligent log in page embedded in each notification email.

Resources.... Maybe I don't know enough about this area but there needs to be some cataloguing/filing functionality.

Avantages

Mobile platform support across iPad, iPhone etc. Also, the ease of access as a user while mobile and the ability to easily markup docs and easily locate/access those pages in real time during meetings.

Inconvénients

Diligent Messenger needs more work to be an alternative email style system to be used for communication.

Diligent Boards is very user friendly and I appreciate this as most of my Directors are retirees so it is easy for them to navigate through the platform and locate documents.

I am on board to a company that uses Diligent for their board meeting papers. Learning the program was a breeze, it is super helpful, intuitive and so quick to collate massive groups of documents month by month. What was board reporting like before this app?!! Brilliant

I liked the professional look of the portal. I especially like that once you have the papers installed it is easy to scroll through the papers as if using a book. This makes it easier to find materials in meetings.

The initial set up was difficult. As an administrator it was difficult to grasp how to upload and then make the content visible to all users. However, this dissipates with constant use of the portal.
