Diligent Boards

Avantages

When we switched over to Diligent, we were expecting a bit of a transition period. But we were pleasantly surprised that everyone found it so easy to jump into this program because the design is so intuitive and very little training was required to operate it. The software has also has gorgeous and elegant aesthetics which makes it very appealing.
It's a fast and secure way to handle sensitive information. Our board members are able to access the information both in online and offline mode, while TouchID ensures that only those who have permission can see them. It also allows us to move away from a paper-based environment which are also a security risk.

Inconvénients

I think the years that the developers have spent studying how board members work and interact has truly paid off because you have a simply outstanding software that serves its customers well. I think the only thing that could possibly make it better is if they increased the scrolling speed when you’re looking through a lot of files.

I like the ease of convenience to enter information.

I don't like that I can just slide a document from one tab to another.

I have a Samsung tablet and the app doesn't work because of a software bug. I was told they're working on a solution but no results so far. I travel for our meetings and rely heavily on my tablet.

Sometimes it becomes too slow in performance and there is lag in performance

The learning modules have demonstrated the ease and confidence of safeguarding the organization's sensitive documents from evolving threats such as cyberattacks. It also provides steps for evaluation in improvements and adopting strategies to increase productivity.

I do not have any complaints or concerns at the moment, and it seems that there are many transformative action items that the software can bring. I would be interested in how the process for adoption and quick access to customer service.

1. on desktop the navigation is quirky. sometimes pg up/down, sometimes the arrows, sometimes nothing works to move the pages qkly
2. sometimes auto sync dsnt work and I have to "update"

Easy to navigate and great for documentation porpuses

Requires a autosave feature, sometimes the session is disconnected and the changes are not saves

The interface is fairly good. The documents can be scrolled back and forth easily and it does allow for notes and highlights.

Inconvénients

The menu is often hidden and not intuitive when you are in full screen. Have had some login issues: this may be unique to our implementation but it seems to deactivate your login if you don't login for a while.

It helps organize my board service in one location including archive material, current material and other resources.

There are really no down sides for me. The site was easy to learn and is a one stop resource. The only con is that I did not know of Diligent when I was a non-profit President. I certainly would have used it.

Difficult to see small fonts. I wish I could zoom to use my large monitor and keep that zoom as I change pages
