They are constantly improving the product and they listen to user requests for features. Most of the metrics you're interested can be seen on a single screen and if you want, you can dive into them to get more detail.

Once one of the greatest SEO tools, it became a tool that confused customers with complicated pricing schemes and tried to charge as much as possible.

We have been AHREFS customers for almost five years, and their recent changes have made us wonder how far this company can go in terms of customer service, customer respect, and pricing schemes. The new scheme is so complicated that your credit card can suddenly charge $1000s without your knowledge.

When we contacted to customer support, they told us that beside the $2000 annual fee we pay, we also need to pay $3500 for additional keyword tracking (which we never signed up for, it was migrated from our old account, where usage was free) without our knowing.

We decided to stop partnering with ahrefs due its complicated pricing model which scams users and surprisingly charges you and we're moving to different platform now.

Usage is not recommended due to the high scam and confusion rate. Recommendation from a company with over 1 million organic monthly traffic and 22 million visitors.

Avantages

The weekly Youtube trainings and Q and A's that they hold. I've honestly learned how to use the tool via those.

Also, has the best backlink tracking tool in the industry.

Inconvénients

If you compare it to other industry leading tools, they seem to vastly under report the amount of traffic a keyword receives.

Avantages

Their Keyword explorer feature is best for me, I am able to find the best keywords without spending so much time on Google keyword planner or search engines.

They Do no provide Wbesite traffic outside search engine

The visibility over your websites' SEO and traffic performance is amazing. I also appreciate that you can view some performance data on a free plan. I also really like Ahrefs content on their website and blogs, it's always very informative and I often share it with others keen to learn about SEO.

Unfortunately as a sole trader it's a little pricey for me, though I would love to keep using the paid version.

Although I'm a big fan of the audits and traffic estimations, which are very useful for competitor analysis, what I like the most about Ahrefs are their features related to backlinking. Many of these features provide all the information you need to create various types of outreach campaigns and advance your SEO techniques, such as detecting backlinks pointing to 404 pages or identifying unlinked mentions.

I found it a bit expensive. That's probably why is only for SEO Pros. Also, it's a bit hard to use at the very beginning.

Ahrefs makes it very easy to get literally loads of very reliable and informative data which helps me to make the best decisions possible when it comes to SEO content strategy. The backlinks reporting features are particularly useful for understanding where backlink growth is coming from organically. Keyword research section of the tool is pretty much perfect, especially in comparison to other leading tools.

Honestly the credits system is a bit of a pain, it was better before when the only thing that was limited was the number of data exports you could run.

It's not always very accurate, you can't rely only on what you see in the tool. You have to actually check on Google what happens to know your position to be sure.

I believe that the force of Ahrefs resides in the accuracy of their data, especially related to backlinks over competitors. That's probably my favorite part of the software.

I don't like their limits very much. For a SEO software, it's quite costly and the limits in the base plan is very low. They should re-structure pricing around other limits than keywords search or change how credits are deducted because it's a very bad designed system that is unfair when you just refresh your page for example.

Drilling down for useable information is absolutely possible. It's great to have the ability to receive data that will focus and target our needs.

The learning curve is a bit steep. You almost have to know what answer (data) you want to know that the results will be useful. The depth of Ahrefs is fantastic until you don't know of what it's fully capable, so you might miss some data or precise results.

I absolutely love Ahrefs for its outstanding backlink analysis and search volume checking capabilities. As someone who is deeply invested in improving my websites' SEO, Ahrefs has become my indispensable tool.

In my experience, I've noticed that Ahrefs' estimated traffic can sometimes be inflated due to various factors, f.e. Google Images.
