Great replacement for microsoft
Great replacement for Microsoft office. Cheap price and can run on any OS.
Avantages
It's cheap and have good performance on working in linux environments. Easy to self learning on all office softwares.
Inconvénients
UI is a bit different from microsoft office. So some of the features like filtering in excel is hard to find.

A good free alternative to office
Avantages
It's free! As a free option it works pretty good. I use this when I need something on my desktop not in google docs, and it works for most of what I need.
Inconvénients
Not as powerful as office, not as easy to use as google docs, but it fits in my workflow for certain types of documents.

Best substitute for Microsoft Office
Avantages
Libre Office is free and removes the need to invest loads of money in Micosoft office. Libre office has all the basic or as I would call it the functionalities that are necessary for the average users. The user interface clean and simple and quite similar to those of the Microsoft office suite and works smoothly on all platforms.
Inconvénients
The support for Libre Office could be much better, users tend to have to invest more time to investigate problems whenever they occur.

Wonderful MS substitute
Avantages
The biggest pro is the lack of cost . Libre is free and a really good alternative to paid products ,when you do not want to spend . While it's lacking in templates choice,there are a lot of downloadable packages that rectify that .
Inconvénients
I've found the Word equivalent lacking when it comes to adding images on it and the presentation tool ( Impress) is relatively useless , but Libre is still great for a free, open source software .

Avantages
I love that I don't need to buy Microsoft Office but can still actually produce documents, resumes, papers, etc. I appreciate the different file formats that it allows me to produce as well.
Inconvénients
It is a little more clunky than Microsoft Word and has some compatibility issues even if I export the files in a .doc or .docx file there still seems to be some trouble if someone tries to open it on their computer or mobile devices.

Overall a good alternative and works better but the interface is not as user friendly

Great alternative to other office style products on the market. Has all the usual products Microsoft has but better. The main use has been down to saving .csv file as Microsoft does not save foreign character properly.

An overall positive experience: the software works quickly and with very few hitches.
Avantages
This software is a free office suite; and although it is potentially less powerful than its Microsoft counterpart, it is surprisingly versatile and powerful. A definite choice for those who do not feel as if they need the full paid-for Microsoft Office experience, and who use the tools for more pedestrian purposes.
Inconvénients
I sometimes run into compatibility issues -- sometimes, for instance, it opens spreadsheets in a less than aesthetically pleasing way. But in the grand scheme, it remains usable despite this.

It's free. It's powerful. It has all the features of Microsoft Office that I need. Pretty easy to use.

It crashed a few times but fortunately I was able to recover my work. Interface could be more modern. Sometimes it won't open Microsoft Office files 100% correctly.

Avantages
It's a great free alternative to software like Microsoft Office. I'm usually skeptical of the free or "generic" versions of software, but this has worked fantastic in a pinch! I had a computer at work that couldn't get access to microsoft office, but needed to be able to open Powerpoint. LibreOffice worked great for this and I would definitely recommend it when either Microsoft Office is not an available option, or just too expensive for the user.

Nothing so far, I haven't used it a lot, but I don't see any negative points yet.

A decent alternative to Microsoft Word
I am using LibreOffice rather occasionally, mainly when I receive a document made in LibreOffice, when I need a portable solution for my text editing, or when I am using Linux. It is not bad, far from it! The Microsoft Office is just better (and it cost money).
Avantages

- It is open source!
- No login or account required.
- It can be used on Linux
- It is suitable for larger projects (quite stable)
- It can be used as a portable app
- After many years, there have been some needed improvements in the GUI recently! (Great!)

Fantastic FREE alternative to MS Office
When I purchased a new Dell PC, LIbre came pre-installed. I was iffy at first, but once I used it I was in love! OpenOffice which I had installed on my old pc was glitchy...I had to save every single time I inserted a new image because it would error out and I'd have to restart my entire document. With Libre, I've NEVER had any such problems! The other apps like spreadsheet and database work just like I remember them working in MS Office, only MUCH more user-friendly! I'm SO PLEASED this new PC introduced me to the product, I'll be a life-long user.
Avantages
I found this software, especially the "word" program extremely easy to use and adjust to. I have previously used OpenOffice. Libre works much the same WITHOUT all of the glitches. You can easily insert images, even SVG images into documents which is extremely important since I use the program to create PDF files for Adult Coloring Book interiors.
Inconvénients
Absolutely NOTHING! I honestly cannot say anything negative about LibreOffice! It's very user-friendly!

Best Experience for the Best Price
While I have access to many other competing platforms, I still find myself coming back to LibreOffice just because it's so good. I get frustrated with the behavior of some other products, some where licensing and installation can be a huge chore, or where help guides are poorly written. LibreOffice just does a good job of allowing me to work.

Yes, it's free, but I still think it's the best. Installation is a breeze, the documentation and help guides are actually great, and it has all the features of any office suite.

I really have no complaints. I'm really having a tough time thinking about any gripes I've had while using it. It's the best stuff out there!

Hard-to-beat Productivity Suite!
Avantages
It's FREE! We use LibreOffice for our daily tasks and it gets the job done. Compatible with industry standard file formats for easy sharing and reviewing among different platforms. You can get all done the same (or better) than on similar paid or licensed tools.
Inconvénients
The user interface could use a refresh or update. It has had the same look for quite some time and it's starting to look "old".

A Great Alternative To Microsoft's Office
Avantages
I first used LibreOffice when I installed Linux on my second computer and I was scared that it wouldn't be as good as Microsoft Office. To my complete and utter surprise it's as good or maybe even better. You have all the functionalities you'd need for your documentation and more (if you're willing to explore a little). I recommend.

A good Plan B

I feel like they intentionally try to resemble Microsoft Office as much as possible ,even with the color scheme of their apps .This only brings comparisons ,and Libre is inferior to the industry leader that is Office .

Love the fact that this software is compatible with all microsoft software. Easy to use.
Inconvénients
Some microsoft software has issue converting to LibreOffice causing to redo the document or form.
