Best free alternative to MS Office
Avantages
I was looking for a free solution for my mum who needs only the basic fuctions of document editor and didn't need the hole MS Office package. This software is a perfect solution for it. It is for free and have to most important features or even some extras like a lot of different styles and fonds, spell check ect. It was easy to install and compatible with Windows, quite easy to use if you are fimiliar with other document editors and they are plenty of tutorials online. The spreadshits works also perfeckly fine.

Comprehensive Office Suite

What I like the most about LibreOffice is that it's constantly improving over time, with each major update I notice cleaner and more intuitive interface and better compatibility with various file formats.
Inconvénients
I think LibreOffice has room for improvement in performance, especially startup times.

Gets the job done
Avantages
Most importantly, the software is free. I didn't (so far) encountered any compatibility issue nor any errors.
Inconvénients

LibreOffice and Store Management
I have been very pleased with this solution. I utilize the spreadsheet and word processing options. Once I had a customer with a corrupt Excel spreadsheet that could not be recovered but somehow LibreOffice could read enough to recreate the information and saved them a lot of work.
Avantages
I like the fact that it allows me to use it in Linux and Windows, it has a wide range of files that it can open and update and is a great utility to have in the field when working onsite with customers.
Inconvénients
Missing just a few features that Microsoft has built into their word processor but for the most part a great solution to my needs.

Lightweight, familiar interface mimicking MS Office interface
Avantages
If you are looking for a replacement for MS Office that offerd 80% functionality at 0 costs, LibreOffice is for you. but sometimes the 20% remaining are the things keeping you away from a product and unfortunately this is the case for LibreOffice.
Inconvénients
If you know what you are bargaining for there is nothing that should keep you from using Libre. However if you absolutely need the online part that other providers offer (MS, Google) then Libre is not for you.

I find LibreOffice as a very good alternative for MS Office. If budget is a little tight, LibreOffice is there for you.
Inconvénients
They can improve their icons in the tool bar. I find them very retro-ish.

Great to use if you are starting out
Overall, I would say that it was a good program, but it didn't really knock my socks off.
Avantages
I liked that there were many of the same types of features as some of the bigger programs that are out there. I liked the Libre Math program to create different math equations. LibreOffice also made some of the navigation really easy to follow for tasks in the various suite of programs.
Inconvénients
This seemed like a very basic option. There were not as many customizations that you can make, which was disappointing. For example, there were only a few color options when making a chart in the Calc program

A good office bundle when you don't want to pay .
Avantages
The biggest pro is the lack of cost . Libre is able to handle basic spreadsheets and text files sufficiently.
Inconvénients
It is however limited at what it can do if you need more complex office work .At some point it's probably better to invest in MS Office .

Open Source Office Software
Avantages
LibreOffice is priced at an amazing value of FREE. You can't beat a close replica of the Microsoft Office Suite at the great price of nothing. It gets the job done if you need to type up a document, work in a spreadsheet or slide show on a budget.
Inconvénients
I don't have much to say. Free and gets the job done so I have no real compliants. If I'm being nitpicky, I can say the interface is a little bland compared to Microsoft but it's nothing that stops the work from getting done.

Not a good Office for Linux User
While trying to be on par with Microsoft Office, LibreOffice sadly still doesn't have a chance. From user-interface, to features and optimization, LibreOffice is still inferior. I guess I don't have much of a choice when using Linux. On a good side, it's free and open-source while users need to pay for Microsoft Office.

Best editor on Ubuntu.
It came pre-installed on Ubuntu, so I trust LibreOffice for my editing needs.
Avantages
It's very similar to the latest Microsoft Word versions. The top bar has tabs which makes it very easy to find the necessary editing features -- something that is still difficult or limited in Google Docs.
Inconvénients
Still does not feel like a full-fledged software like Microsoft Word. It evokes the emotion that some minute features which were nifty and handy in Word, might be missing and limit one's freedom.

Good, but not innovative
The platform meets my expectations, is simple to use, allows you to save files in various formats and allows for various activities.

It is a program for word processing, spreadsheet, etc. It can be used at work, school, at home that even allows drawing.

The first thing one must know about this software is that it's a free one, which is great compared to.. you know to which one :) it has all the functions which his more famous rival has, plus it can convert the files not only into PDF but also epub format which is an advantage.
Inconvénients
The con of this software is its design, which I'd call not modern, even outdated, but this is compensated by being a free and open-source software. Also sometimes it lags when opening a large file.

I chaged Microsoft Office for Libre Office and i don't regret it is a very good tool to replace Microsoft Office, its free and the User Interface is user friendly

The only problem that i had was that the app freezes when i try to open an office document or all the margins, size and type of letter are unconfigured

Great tool for organizing
I love using this program to stay organized and to keep track of my teams hours for payroll. It is easy to access the same layout and simply just do little changes each month. The program has been very useful and I'm looking forward to try out different features it has in the future.

Simple and affordable open source office suite
A good office suite available free of cost
Avantages
The best thing about Libre office is that it is open-source and free of cost unlike its top competitor like Microsoft Office and other office suites.
It is compatible with almost all kinds of extensions like word, excel, ppt, etc. It gets updates almost regularly and is available to end users at no additional costs.
It is compatible with the Microsoft office however, I have personally noticed that reports or charts that load in Microsoft Powerpoint or Excel may not necessarily load in libreoffice or openoffice.
Overall, it is a great suite of such applications.
Inconvénients
With cost comes stability, reliability and security where LibreOffice stand way behind the queue as compared to Microsoft office. Support and functionalities are missing and this makes it a less useful tool.

I like it for what it is. Anything that give Microsoft a little bit of competition and a reason to lower the prices for their suite is a good thing in my opinion.

This free open-source office suite is very intuitive to learn and is an awesome budget-friendly alternative to Microsoft's pricey office suite.
Inconvénients
It does lack some of the more advanced features of Office, but normal users would most definitely not notice. It also sometimes wants to save documents in it's proprietary file format instead of Office's default extensions.

It's an ok app to have it on your phone or tablet devices.
Avantages
As I have indicated in the title, this software makes their users to access, edit, and save MS Office documents easily on multiple platform. Comparatively it's a cheaper option than authentic MS Office software.
Inconvénients
It's a secondary app to access the MS Office documents, never the first. Also, these days there are other apps to compete in terms of is practicality; Google Docs and few other options are making Libre Office not exclusive.

Overall LibreOffice offers great alternative for regular office work with some features that overshadow its competition.
Avantages
LibreOffice offeres quite huge list of features. This list sometimes goes beyond regular MS Office offering.
I have used this software mostly for flowchart drawings since alternatives can become quite expensive.
Inconvénients
The file compatibility is not perfect. Some files from alternative solutions can be opened and edited, but there is no option to save the file in a original format.

You can do basic stuff in this program. Also it's free, so you would not have to worry about paying licences.
Inconvénients
It's really complicated to pass from Microsoft Office to LibreOffice, documents usually lose the format.
