J'ai utilisé Oracle Database dans le cadre des projets d'applications web et mobile, il faut dire que Oracle Database est un SGDB, très robuste et adapter à plusieurs types de projets peu importe la taille

L'inconvénient majeur d'Oracle Database est que sa prise en main requière des connaissances techniques assez avancée

Le coût du logiciel est vraiment très élevé.
Les alternatives Open Source comme MySQL, PostgreSQL et MongoDB a été le basculement.
En plus d'être coûteux, le logiciel est très complexe à utiliser.
Enfin... On est dépend d'Oracle .. Donc pas trop de flexibilité pour l'Entreprise.

I don't think any other database on the market can handle data volume like Oracle does while maintaining a high level of performance. Another thing I like about the Oracle database is that the company has invested in creating not only one of the best databases on the market, but also hardware with a high level of performance and has recently added interesting capabilities of artificial intelligence to the database engine.

There are two widely known issues about Oracle databases that most people in the database community complain about (and so do I). The first is related to cost, as the cost of Oracle licenses, training and consulting are generally higher when compared to other alternative products. Second, is Oracle’s licensing structure, particularly for those who are in the process of obtaining a new Oracle license. In general, Oracle licensing is complex; A lawyer will most likely be essential during negotiations, as Oracle's license terms are complicated.

Oracle Database has been my number one choice when teaching enterprise application development. Although it is a bit heavy and not that easy to deploy, students can get a lot of advantages learning a highly demanded DBMS platform that really adds a lot on their resume. The SQL concepts are easily tested against the database using the SQL Developer software. Moreover, JDBC drivers allow seamless integrations and very high performance when using Java to connect to the database on the client side, or when relying on the Java Servlets and Java Server Pages middleware on the Application server. Using Oracle with Java based technologies was definitely a very compatible option that simplifies and speeds up the development process.

Inconvénients

As stated, Oracle is not very easy to install and configure by novice developers. It is a bit heavy on low end devices.

I liked that the system offered a convenient way to view all of your customer data and it was easy to navigate the system as a beginner which made it easy to train new employees.

Inconvénients

We can make the font size bigger, add some more color and space it out a bit more so that visually it is more appealing. After a few hours of working looking at the font caused some slight headaches.

I think the most fantastic thing about Oracle Database is the capability of solving hard problems with simple solutions. We've faced a lot of troubles and it still gives a fair fight even to AI solutions, and it's awesome.

I think for sure the ease of use could be better, but with some addins and tools to support the everyday work, you can make this tool one of your best to deal with your data storing problems.

Most importantly, this supports various data types like text, binary data and numbers and oracle can handle large amount of data efficiently. Also we can easily integrate it with multiple programming languages where I used it in multiple projects with different languages. This supports data backup and replicas and it make sure the availability of data in an unexpected condition.

As a drawback what I see is the resource consumption of the tool. It takes lot memory and CPU power and that makes my old laptop slower.

What I like least is that it is a bit expensive. Another problem is the need for adjustments. A common mistake is to think that it is enough to install Oracle on a server and directly plug in client applications. A misconfigured Oracle can be desperately slow. The Forms, SQLFORMS are very simple and effective for the design of screens, the best of all is that, after defining the form you can work on it without generating codes, this at user level is very useful.
