Yes, PostgreSQL is easy to use. I have been using it for a year. I have been using it with the Django web development framework as an object-oriented database. One thing I love is it's an open-source and free database that gives us the freedom to modify and use it as per our needs. It's a highly fault-tolerant database available. Also, it's available across the cross-platform. Another prominent feature is that MVCC(Multiversion Concurrency Control) allows the running of multiple queries isolating them from each other. Also, its a widely used database by individuals and enterprises.

Inconvénients

One thing that can be improved is the performance with respect to another popular database MySQL.

It took more memory to store than others data base system. It is slow for small database sizes. Syntex is difficult to understand for beginners.

There is lots of code to copy data from CSV files which is on-premises we can load their data here. So we can reduce our time here.

one of the most successful database applications I have used, its interface is easy and it is nice to open different pages in tab form. I also loved that it included a dark theme.

Although the code is correct, it says there is an error when the code is run, sometimes I waste time searching for this non-existent error.

I like that it is easy to learn, that there are lots of good tutorials, and lots of opportunities to practice. I use PostgreSQL almost daily in my job as a data scientist

There are some weird minute differences between the different versions of SQL.

PostgreSQL is one of the best from the range of DBMS i used in my career.

Features like Stored Procedures is one of the reason i prefer this tool. It helps me take off a huge amount of workload from the API server as same data need to format differently for different APIs.
Along with it the availability of builtin functions like JSON functions, Regex Functions etc helps a lot in the data processing field.
Connectors support for various languages is one of the main reason for using this tool. Connection Pooling helps me execute multiple queries without slowing the system and losing any data.

Inconvénients

It is not suitable for beginners. Designing a efficient and effective Database workflow need a skilled DB Admin so a beginner need some time to get to familiar with the system.
Another drawback is its management tool pgAdmin 4. Its a disaster compare to pgAdmin 3.
It is a web App and lags a lot. I face problems in multitasking in version 4 that is not the case with version 3.
I Hope someday somebody provide backward compatibility of PostgreSQL 10+ with pgAdmin 3.

I've been using PostgreSQL since 2002.
It is not easy to install, deploy and manage compared to other relational database of its class. It is though rock solid, incredibly fast and there are a lot of great features.

Inconvénients

A modern management system would be very welcome. There have been several attempt to make it more user friendly by honestly none has been successful so far.

Native interface can be improved. Rest is fine. Apart from that, I don't see any disadvantages with the tool.

PostgreSQL has proved to be a great tool, having a great performance on hardy scenarios. However, when is used on a huge amount of object-related requests, the server could show lag issues if the database isn't properly normalized by the developers or database manager or if you have a very low spec server.

It's easy to set up and maintain. Has great community support and can be used with a wide variety of frameworks to build amazing applications.

The default user credentials aren't always clear when setting up on a local machine.

It can store a large volume of databases and faster data processing. It is cross-platform with no extra configuration for importing and exporting information. It is very comfortable to write SQL queries on the consoles.

Inconvénients

I work both with Postgres and MySQL so finding syntax is a little discomforting but there is a large community for it to help me.

Avantages

Love this dialect. I find many of the built in function improve experience but simplifying the needs for cryptic code. For example, changing from data type to another data type, one can use the :: operator. This operator is quick and easy to understand.

Inconvénients

Unfortunately, sometimes code needs to be translated to more standard SQL that would work across multiple dialect. While the built in functions of PostgresSQL has improved my easy of use and because some of these functions are not standard SQL, I find myself having to continue using more cryptic, yet standard, SQL.

Avantages

We have been using this software for a couple of years after we faced a lot of issues and freezes in MySQL. This is comparatively much much more smooth and handles multiple DB connections and inter-switching with no lags or hangs.

Inconvénients

We were more accustomed to the MySQL interface so found a few minor UX improvements that can be done here but overall it's still good.

It is more feature rich than MySQL and supports very sophisticated requests. With enough experience, you can write a procedure that can merge and shape any data you could possibly derive from the tables, in any possible format, with little overhead.

Inconvénients

No powerful GUI tools are available for administration. MySQL is a lot more convenient in day-to-day use thanks to PHPMyAdmin. Setting up and running the database is a bit convoluted as well - doesn't work reliably out of the box.

Avantages

The easy to understand interface. It is more intuitive than MySql, and is more enjoyable to work within.

Inconvénients

It is a bit more difficult to work within multiple queries. The ability to quickly maneuver between different queries could be improved.

Avantages

It is very fast for running queries from bash (logged in by SSH) or within PGAdmin (from a distant client) ; the ability to lauch queries from PHP permits building web-apps using the database very simply.

Using variables in not as simple as in MySQL. It needs to use plSQL or mixing bash and SQL.
I prefer PgAdmin 3 rather than PgAdmin 4. This new version seems to priorize design rather than ease of use.

the transactions abort completely if a fault is found during its execution, which can cause the loss of information, it is slow in the insertions and updates since it has intersection headers, the object orientation support is a simple extension that offers benefits such as inheritance, not full support. I am amazed that something so functional and scalable is available for free.
Tons of plugins for different needs. Scalable similarly to commercially available databases. Online help abundant. Easy to use through standard SQL or PGAdmin application.

Inconvénients

Some concepts might get a bit to get the hang of, as PostgreSQL does them a bit differently (such as typecasting or type handling in general), but mostly nothing that one can't learn.

Cost saving was the main benefit. We switched for the cost saving and also to stay in synch with our vendor Ellucian.

The transition period was challenging. In particular, we needed to bring on a temporary staff member to help rewrite our 1000+ reports and dashboards from the Microsoft SQL Server language to PostgreSQL. I wish the PGAdmin software had a better built-in search feature, but otherwise it seems to have all the same functionality as SQL Server Management Studio.

very useful and great database with features which can help big or small solutions. Partitions tables are powerful and can perform search on data. we can use Change Data Capture feature to track the changes on data on tables. It is a great option for semi structured objects.

The interface is rather simple and easy to navigate through. Database backups are an important part of any database design and PostgreSQL does this splendidly.

It is one of the most used open source database management system so there are a lot of information out there if you ever get stuck. Also, coding the database transactions is so easy with the Python packages out there like flask and alchemy
