The level of detail it shows really shows our clients we understand there project and also looks so professional compared to any other software we have used. Overall we a extremely pleased to use better proposals and get very excited when we send to our clients. We always ask for there feedback on the software and they are all very impressed!!!

It's that one piece of the puzzle that forces you to figure out a whole bunch of other things about your business that are CRUCIAL, but you haven't really given enough thought before.

Once you have a proposal that converts, you KNOW that you're doing things right.

And betterproposals.io makes it super straight forward. I've gotten nothing but praises from all sides. Can't recommend this tool enough.

I love how professional Better Proposals looks, I have received SO many complements on how professional my proposals look from every client that I send one out to.

The only thing that I would say I like least, is when you hit the 'next' button when you are adding in content it takes you to the send proposal screen.

I love the visual nature of the end product, the content library that allows simple use of data chunks, and the hints and tips throughout on the template pages that help you to really make the most of your document.

It's sometimes difficult to edit things, particularly adding images and changing fonts etc on text

I love how much it makes my job easier! The two most common projects I have to write a proposal for are website builds, and logo/branding packages. Which are NOT quick to write up, as there are so many line items and details to cover. This software makes this part of my job a lot easier.

There's a bit of a learning curve, and the price is higher than me just going into Google Docs or Creative Cloud (a package I'm paying for anyway) - but I think it's worth the extra money for a unique, task-specific tool like this.

The tracking. No more 'did you get my proposal?' emails. I can even tell which sections they've viewed, and for how long. This is great for paring down information that doesn't add to the proposal in the future.

How it deals with images. I'm new to using, so started off with an existing template and altered from there. I detest stock images, and like to personalise them to every proposal, but to do this, I have to add in a new image block, move it to the right place, then delete the old one. It would be much easier if there was a replace image button.

I've been using BP for a long time now and really respect the product. As a sales agency, I can tell you I've seen and used many proposal softwares in the past, and Better Proposals is by far the best out there. Well done!

Creating proposals can be a real time killer. Better proposals allows me to create beautiful templates and cuts my proposal creation time in half. Plus you get really nice looking proposals and you can track opens and page views.

They have a lot of templates, but wish they had more since most do not fit my needs.

BetterProposals is brilliant for creating professionally looking offers to clients because I can reuse templates and have many items added automatically. Other then that, it allows me to follow exactly how much a client has looked at a proposal and if he read all of it.

I would like to a bit more functionality with the pricing and how it is set out, I have a few different categories for ongoing costs that clients can choose and it would be great to be able to separate these from the main quote a bit more. Apart from that, it does everything I need it to do and makes my life easier.

This product allows you to totally streamline your sales process. No more managing emails, PDF or Word-based contracts, e-Sign requests, invoices, etc. Better Proposals wraps all of that into one seamless process. For the buyer, Better Proposals makes the contracting process feel like signing up for a SaaS product. Super low friction.

The only cons that come to mind are incredibly minor UI/UX things.

The ready-to-use templates by topics, the possibility to store your own template, the possibility to know when the proposals is readen, how many time and the time spent by the client on it.

What I like most about Better Proposals is how professional and polished the proposals look. Thus far, every single proposal I have sent using the software has resulted in an immediate sale as well as compliments from the client on how nice the proposals look.

Better Proposals is not the most easy-to-use or intuitive for me personally. I have had to contact customer service several times for help, but the good news is that they are always efficient, friendly and quick to resolve my issue.

They have a lot of templates to get you started with.
No limits on the number of products or services I add in the proposal
Videos can be embedded.
Chat integration, for example, we can embed Zendesk Chat, on the proposals.
and their Analytics. Love how it shows how much time a client have read the proposal page.

Inconvénients

CRM integration requires a higher plan.
No merge tags, yep, they currently do not have this. This feature is a HUGE necessity to save time and avoid errors, REALLY MUST IMPLEMENT!
No API. I would love to have a slack integration aswell.

I like that I can track when my clients open/forward my Proposals.

I struggled a bit with changing images. Just user confidence I guess.

It's really user-friendly, at least as simple as using Word, Pages or Wordpress. The best thing was to find lots of pre-made templates that matched my business offerings. So, not only did I get a sharp design, but I saved days of writing copy since it was around a 70% match to what I'd say anyway.

No real issues, I found a couple of buttons that didn't work properly. I had to move the cursor a little for the button to activate. (Not sure if that was browser problem though).

Ease of use - Just log in, load up a template, add in the client details and away you go. When setup correctly the client sees the proposal via your own website - very professional

Very designed focused product. The layouts/templates/cover pages are beautiful, some of the best in the industry. The formatting ability is also excellent, very simple and easy to format.

Weird to say but Better Proposals is too focused on just proposals. Outside of that, the software is very limited vs. what you get with Pandadoc and Docusign. Also not a huge fan of being limited on how many documents I can send in a month.

Being able to track your customers' journey on the proposal is the best feature, hands down. Yes, it's awesome that they look great, but this is the best feature.

The price for an account can be pretty expensive if you're not sending that many proposals each month.

If you want to simply and quickly create propsals that stand out, then you can't go wrong with Better Proposals. You can create a proposal that looks like a website, get notification when your proposal is read and keep a tally in your set currency of the number of proposals that you have sent out.

It has been a while since it was released and although it works perfectly well, there hasn't been any updates or additional features to this tool.

The best part about this software is seeing how long each client spends on each page. You get super valuable insight to what is and isn't working about each page, thus being able to improve your templates.

The least favorite part about the software is the fact that all images have to be the full length of the page.

There is no section for me to sign, which some of my prospective clients have requested so I need to make up a separate contract.

Be careful that you remain online. I've lost changes to documents when I lost internet connection. The best way to deal with this is to, as you create content, save it as sections in the Library. Edit it there and just drop it in future proposals.

Better Proposals removes the extra time it takes on styling, and gives us more time to focus on how we can bring our clients more value. Definitely our go-to especially when on a time crunch!

This is a tough question to answer, because we haven't had any issues really. We actually transitioned from a competing software and this really helped solve some issues we were having elsewhere.

The customization options is a bit limited. Many companies usually already have their own "style" for proposals.

The trial use of this software closed with a good deal. The client mentioned that the proposal was impressive and I owe this to better proposals. The layouts are simple and direct and so should a proposal. The layout forced me to be direct and not over elaborate and oversell. The product can be custom linked providing a branded presentation. I also appreciate the read analytics and tracking. The best feature is the sign and executes a function that puts the close at their fingertips and ready to be executed.

Inconvénients

The layouts are simple and that is helpful. However, they are also a bit unmovable so for complete customization, this may be difficult. But why not give the template a try. Take it from me- it works.

There are quite a few work arounds and the software feels like it is still in the development stages.
