The real time editing is what i love most. the ability to change something in the document and have it reflected instantly even from the clients end is great as there is no more delays in changing anything the client wants.

The application is fine. i have not had any issues with it. the software runs smoothly once you have a stable internet connection

The time saving compared to traditional proposal writing are huge! What took me over 2 hours to do previously, now takes just 30 minutes.

A deeper integration to our CRM would be useful along with an internal sign off process but the rest of the functionality of the software definitely make up for what it doesn't have.

There are many templates to choose as starting points that can be customized by my specific needs. I LOVE the fact that I can see when my clients open the proposals, and the online signing feature is super-convenient for my out-of-state clients.

Inconvénients

The saved PDF of the proposal isn't the prettiest; I wish I could set page breaks to make things flow nicer. However, this is made to be an online platform so my clients view the proposal using the link. I rarely have the need to save and print the PDF.

The ease of use and the support team that are willing to help! Proposals used to take 3-4 hours and now they can be as quick as an hour!

They need to add in a bit more customizable options! Most proposals can look the same but I guess it's better to get straight to the point.

The page menus make the offer transparent and it gives you control over what the offer is about. It also works excellent on mobile.

It should have been possible to have more options on font size and fonts. When we use the side menus, it's very late between each time. It loads slowly.

It doesn't just allow me to create proposals that look great, I'm able to observe how my potential clients use and react to the proposal. Allowing me to follow up at the right time with the right information... to gently nudge them over the line.

My only bug bear with Better Proposals is that I can't switch off the .00s for cents / pence. There are enough 0's in my prices to begin with. If they get that sorted I'll bump my rating from 99% to a full 100%!

I love being able to send potential clients online proposals for review. It allows you to separate each section of a proposal onto a different page, which makes it easy for the potential client to digest. I also think it looks impressive to the client to receive a proposal this way.

I wish there were more ways to control design. Line spacing, font sizes are preset.

To be honest although we really liked using it, we ended up reverting to using Adobe Illustrator for our previous template, which is free.

We write a lot of proposals, but they all draw from the same library of content assets. This allows us to quickly drop in language for each product and service we offer. We know that every customer gets the same language.

I noticed some little bugs here and there when creating and editing proposals. Sometimes (not often) the software freezes or won't let you edit stuff. Not a big deal at all, though, as it was only on very few occasions and only for a few minutes.

If you doing any kind of work that requires you to send proposals, BetterProposals is the best product I've tried. They have several great templates that you can customize easily to fit your needs. And it allows the customer to sign the proposal immediately and also to pay you.

It makes a very classy first impression that inspires trust, while also simplifying my process of taking a client from lead to satisfied past customer, reducing my workload with templates at the same time.

Inconvénients

There are some limitations related to design, but new features are being added all the time so I'm not worried about this. There is a small learning curve to get over when first using the drag and drop WSIWIG design interface, but once you learn it and templates are set up everything is quite fast.

Images we use can sometimes take extra effort and time to be accepted in the format required , especially around needing to be landscape or portrait.

Better proposals is so easy to implement. They give you very clear instructions every step of the way and make it actually fun to create proposals. I have gotten great feedback from my clients. They have no trouble agreeing to the proposal and it integrates with my payment service (stripe) so it's fast and easy for them and myself. I feel so much more professional using this visual proposal format. Love it!!
