It is a software that has several very useful applications and presents several excellent features. It also has a user-friendly interface and easy to use. Its monthly price is also not bad

Except for the customer service which is a bit weird, everything seems to be on the level. With time I think it will be above many companies

I first had this software when it was peach tree. It has a ton of features more then you will ever need with the ability to back everything up.

Inconvénients

It takes time to learn there is so much. I would start using this software has soon had you can. I started using it in the middle of my second year of business back in 2014 and it time some time inputting data but once it's there this software made my life a breeze but you will need to take time to set it up

Avantages

It works great for small firms and can scale up as the company does. It takes away the need to set-up a separate server to host all of the accounting, CRM and financial that we need, so that’s a huge plus. Customer service can be easily reached and are data always more than helpful, even for simple questions that new users tend to have.

Inconvénients

Payroll and some of the reporting can be a headache, but I suppose it could be that I’m just not using some of the features correctly. There’s still a lot I need to learn about the product, but the positive aspects definitely outnumber the negative ones ,

I love the ease of use of this software. Nothing complicated about maneuvering through to find reports I need.

Because it's cloud based, there are times when it crashes.

It is very easy to use. Most modules are linked to be able to see things in a real time view. Best of all, it links with TimberScan.

We find it does what it says it does. It's very flexible, not only because of Cloud access, but in terms of products, sales invoicing and reporting. The addition of integration of PayRoll has saved us both time and money.

Inconvénients

To be honest, Iuse it without fuss. I'd prefer the Other Payments option to be in the 'Purchasing' section rather than the 'Banking' section and maybe a 'custom' layout option for Invoices - not fields, but presentation. That's all.

Avantages

Used here in Canada by a lot a small accounting firms, it's versatile enough for my needs.

Would like an app for Android to do the day to day stuff. The interface looks dated compared to it's compétition.

As a small business this has helped us to manage our both payroll and accounts. The initial motivator to look at online packages was for auto-enrolment. Having used the accounting package as well it's helped us to organise our accounts better and it is a lot easier to get information and reports from it.
The technical support either via self help, web chat and telephone is excellent. I've made a few mistakes initially and these were easily resolved with support line help.

Inconvénients

This will be common to all packages. I now feel that using this software is making us do some tasks that our accountant used to do. Unfortunately I feel that some of this relies on a bit of an understanding of accountancy principles that I didn't have. I needed the support to help explain this and how to find some options. Once done though it's easy to find again.

Easy to use and understandable. Produces reports that allow you to quickly see the information you need. Easy and quick to create and send invoices out. Like the fact I can access it from anywhere and on any device.

Frustrating when the server is overloaded or experiencing high-demand and then unable to access Sage One.

Great software for handling clients account information from Quoting, Invoicing, payment tracking. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to use this software. Everything is under one roof.

Data capturing has to be done carefully. Sometimes the program encounters errors that aren't easy to overcome. The Internet connection needs to be stable.

Maybe allow a link through for document storage to keep down the user space needed.
For instance if I upload my slips and document to Sage I’d quickly use up my allocated space, if it could link through to my dropbox where I get far more space

When they finish the product it will be great. Do not consider purchasing this until they have or you have a fulltime salesforce developer within your finance team.

The worst customer support I have ever experienced in 20 years of software support. Not fit for purpose.
They release "upgrades" each month that they have clearly haven't tested as large parts of functionality stop working once they release it. It takes several weeks each month to firefight and fix these problems before they release another update and inevitably another part of the system goes wrong.

It's easy to use. Even for beginners. I have used it for several modules and when training It was easy to understand

If you lose internet connection, you lose access. Sometimes looking at the reports is a little confusing and when searching for the report your wanting can be difficult. Customer Suppor -

Well-known and respected company. VAT Return module is easy to use and works well. Inclusive updates are much better than old year end routines.

inability for imported payments and invoices to be matched up automatically,even when they share a reference number. Having to manually allocate every single payment is time consuming and frustrating.

Easy to use, available 24 hour a day, makes difficult tasks easy.
When i took over the payroll, I was amazed how easy it was using Sage. It has saved me a lot of time and money and made me more confident.

Help line can be busy during the day, so I tend to always telephone in an evening. Get through in an evening no problem at all.

The IT portion of this program is very poor. The software is very difficult to manage and adding users to the program is just about impossible. It is unfortunate that a really good accounting program has such poor IT functionality on the back end. Customer support is very poor. You wait for HOURS on the phone for support and when the technician is stuck, they elevate you to level 2 and you must wait again...for hours.

Love how the invoicing facility makes my business even more professional. Like the way my accountant can just log on whenever they need to, without having to provide them with lots of books and paperwork.

Would like to be able to edit/Personalise/tailor the invoices to fully meet my business needs. This however is a small thing.

Sage do not make it clear that this system isn't a traditional Sage program and because of that you will need an approved partner to do a lot of development to even get it working. This is then compounded by things not working properly, or their suggested partners running into problems that they can't fix , coupled with almost non-existent support.(obviously you're being charged while this happens as well.)

To top this all off on this dog of a programme, I recently found out that Sage will no longer be developing this product and will drop it for another program in the near future.

Stay away from this program if you don't have someone who understands the problem to an expert level.

What it says it can do is really good. We found that we were told certain things and once we signed up, those things then weren't possible.

Customer support is slow, they recommended an implementation partner (Edgeware) that doesn't fully know the system. Cost us a lot of money. Beware. There are existing companies that know Salesforce better than Sage Live and Edgeware.

Was very difficult to maneuver the software. Way too many steps to print a check and the checks were not complete. Needed to run reports to switch to a different accounting software and had to go in one by one to and then the next day they requested us to pay, never received a notification of when the trial was close to ending. When requested through the chat to be able to signin in a read only format, was told YOU CAN PAY FOR A MONTH AND THEN CANCEL by Anquinetta. Excuse me, in these trying/difficult times of the economy of what is going on, why should I have to pay for something that all I need is a detailed report. Then I asked can you send me the report, the answer was YOU CAN PAY FOR A MONTH AND THEN CANCEL. I requested to speak with a manager and was told no, that the chat had already spoken with them and I would get the same answer. I then requested a supervisor/manager to call me and was told they would call me back tomorrow that it was late. Seriously, you were just speaking with the manager. Not professional at all

It is an easy tool to use, it is quite complete and you can enter and upload invoices easily, being able to access from any device is great.

This product is not easy to install or operate. I spent countless hours waiting for a representative to help me install, update, or troubleshoot issues we've had. It is hard to find data and is very behind the times.
