Review for RingCentral Contact Center

Avantages

We like that RingCentral has an extensive reporting system so that we can monitor efficiency of our call queues. Our management wanted to view realtime reports and graphs to show how our staff was working, which hours were peak hours and which hours needed more staff.

Inconvénients

So far we do not have any complaints for using the software. Initial setup wise, our call queues were fairly complicated so we had to hire a third party to setup our call queues and directory structure. We felt that the initial setup through incontact was too complicated without utilizing outside help. Im not sure if there was a better way around this, however, such as more docs or such.

To put into perspective, our migration from our previous, on-prem phone system to RC took about 3 months of setup. This included account creation, call tree creation, logic and voice recording for 8-9 different companies.

Convenience but with cost

Preadory billing after failing to replace leased phone

Predatory billing, company failed to provide working phone after 3rd contact by the owner. Close account only to be billed a $25 phone charge for the non working phone. Today 8 days later we have mailed it back and they have charged another $31 for service left open until they feel like processing the returned phone that didn't work that they couldn't replace.

Works for simple setups

I felt this was average software with average support. We moved away after a short time.

Avantages

The call quality was fairly good all of the time.

Inconvénients

It wasn’t flexible enough for use by our team. The call routing; voicemail and messages weren’t adjustable enough to our needs.

Recommend Ring Central

It's been good overall. I like the features available

RingCentral Integration with HubSpot

We use RingCentral for Sales and Marketing and we do it by integrating it into HubSpot.

Avantages

I like that it can be integrated into HubSpot.

Inconvénients

I have not encountered such with RingCentral.

Not Great

We switched back to our old provider, so I would not recommend RingCentral.

Avantages

The reporting in RC is overall fairly easy to use and setting up new users is a simple process. Also love the feature where RC recognizes phone numbers anywhere and the ability to dial from any window.

Inconvénients

Customer service at RingCenteral is not good at all. I would not recommend signing up for RC if you think you might need any level of support and good luck if you need them to credit anything back.

Delays in the call quality, terrible customer service, and extra charges

Terrible. They told me there would be no additional charges as I described how we would be forwarding calls to an Australian admin when we signed the contract. The forwarded calls then didn't go through to our admin and were getting blocked. I reached out to customer service and they told me we needed to get white listed and sign a contract accepting liability for any fraud.

As I was getting that done, the service agent disappeared and a new agent took over and told me that wasn't the problem at all. Instead we needed to turn on international forwarding. That's when I learned that there was an additional charge per minute for each of those calls. I had confirmed multiple times with the account rep that there wouldn't be any additional charge when we signed the contract.

When I let their support team know what was happening, they told me I needed to talk to the account rep. Even though I told them our new startup was depending on taking these calls and getting this figured out, they never called me back. I reached out many times to support and they conveniently 'lost' all records of our calls and wanted me to start over in explaining what went wrong each time. Finally, they decided they wouldn't even send me the record of the chat so that I could more easily explain the problem the next time the didn't call me back.

Avantages

It seems like it has a lot of options in its feature sets.

Inconvénients

There were significant delays in the call which made it unusable in a business setting. We experienced 2 second delays, which made conversations very difficult.

Decent product hamstrung by bottom-barrel customer service.

Increased functionality relative to our old provider, Jive.

Avantages

Functionality is decent, and covers most of what my business wanted in terms of flexibility and convenience.

Inconvénients

The support is absolutely unacceptable. Transitioning was a major pain, and involved the RC team not adhering to the schedule we agreed on, resulting in my business losing phone coverage and having to scramble. The sales people are competent, but once they have your money you get shoveled through to people who are difficult to communicate with and aren't very interested in anything other than getting you off the phone as quickly as possible. Don't expect any follow-through at all once you're no longer physically on the phone with them, and get ready to be transferred and put on hold without notice. If you go with these guys anyway, make sure to record the name of everyone you speak with, so you can at least call out who's responsible for your bad service when you send through your inevitable complaints.

Recommended

The support team was great. They made sure I got the answers to my question and they walked me through very well.

Avantages

Product - we have just been using the software for a month now and we are in adjustment period. So far, we are not having big problems with the product. It is very user friendly. We can customize with ease. Each user can customize too, giving less work on the super admin.
Customer Support - The representatives make sure they have satisfied our questions. There was one issue that we addressed that was not part of their features yet (involves Polycom phones). They immediately suggested that we address it also to the development team. I think the company is growing and with constant support care, RingCentral customers are in good hands.

Inconvénients

Not really a problem but one feature was not included. I wanted to rearrange my contacts on my Polycom Screens by customizing through RingCentral. The software could not help me rearrange to how I wanted the names to be assigned to the lines I prefer. Other than that, I am highly satisfied.

Has everything you need at a great price

I had never heard of RingCentral until I started researching VOIP phone systems but now they are my preferred option. Much more affordable than other companies and a lot of options.

Avantages

RingCentral is a fantastic option for VOIP phones. The price is one of the most affordable options and it comes with a lot of features that allow for more calls to be directed to the correct lines.

Inconvénients

The customer support team all seems to speak English as their second language which sometimes makes it difficult to get answers to questions.

Simple system that works

Overall, it's been great so far. I'm able to make calls without any issues.

Avantages

It was easy and quick to set up. Now I can have a phone system to call internationally and also receive calls. Saves so much more time. Particularly great for me working remotely outside the countries we operate in as a business.

Inconvénients

Honestly, there's nothing to dislike until now. If I'm being extremely picky, it would probably be the fact that it gets too costly to forward calls to my country ie India.

Ring Central

It certainly gets the job done but I wish there were a way to get the job done easier and faster.

Avantages

I like the fact that this software integrates into Windows pretty smoothly. When I click a telephone number from the web, the dialogue box prompts me to dial the number with RingCentral as opposed to other software on my machine.

Inconvénients

I'd like to have the option to automatically dial numbers rather than manually click each telephone number as I work in telecommunications and it would make my job easier. There is other software that can do this and I am not sure why this one does not give me the option (or this option is not apparent in the context menus). I also think the overall user interface can be reimagined and simplified - make the most important and most used features easier to access than those that are rarely every used.

Great software

Avantages

I really like this software. It has helped so much and has been very convenient to be able to use at work. It's nice to have your phone on your computer while you work so you can easily click over and text and call anybody you need to.

Inconvénients

The only complaint I have with this software is that sometimes when the phone calls come in, they don't ring or even show up until you get a notification that you missed the phone call.

Very Good Price

So far so good, very helpful. I like that a human answers the phone if I have questions or I can go through the chat feature.

Avantages

The desktop and phone app is very useful, the chat button is there if we have any problems or issues, I think that the features will just get better.

Inconvénients

The fax option is a little confusing to get too, each time I use it I have to remember where it is, it would be helpful to label it better

Very organized tool

Overall is good. If RingCentral has the dark theme that will be great.

Avantages

It has GIF that we can choose what we like instead of displaying random GIF. RingCentral group the images, files, pinned items together which is very easy to find the info.

Inconvénients

When the same person leaves the message, it doesn't get added into the same paragraph like Google Chat, it will show multiple lines. And it has the function for like/unlike only, we don't have choose to pick the reactions for the message, for instance, reaction of happy, shock, or lol.

Switched from Google Voice

Super happy using this software for call and text communications.

Avantages

Our sales team switched from Google Voice a few weeks ago to RingCentral and it's amazing. It has a clean useful interface on the web version that I use. It makes it easy to dial out, answer, set vm greetings, send texts and more. Very please with it and the associated mobile and gmail apps.

Inconvénients

None yet, truthfully in the few weeks in use it hasn't given me a reason to be unhappy with the product at all.

Web-based soft phone!

The web-based version is definitely a must! My only prob with web-based is it takes a while to update the call history. I have to refresh multiple times in order to see the most recent number I dialed. Other than that, GREAT soft phone!!!

Avantages

Glad it's accessible via web with option not to download the app and eat up computer space.

Inconvénients

The app version is terrible. Keeps lagging and freezing to white screen. This happened multiple times during an ongoing call. Reported multiple times but did not receive any feedback or solution.

Our office contact software

Avantages

It makes it quick and easy to communicate with our sales managers, team leads, and co-workers. This is also the dialer we use to sell our medical equipment.

Inconvénients

At first glance I had a hard time navigating the dialer.

Good Quality Product

RingCentral allows me to clock in and clock out when it comes to my availability and have the peace of mind that no calls are missed.

Avantages

RingCentral is used primarily as a secondary number for when I am "on the clock" or for when I am on our "emergency line." RIngCentral makes it easy to switch from one line to another.

Inconvénients

There's no automated response to texts. This would be nice for times when I'm out of the office and on vacation. There is a workaround that I was able to figure out with another program, but it would be helpful to be able to do it directly through RingCentral.

Ring Central

My overall experience was with Ring Central Contact Center was great for the purposes that I was allowed to use it for in my role.

Avantages

We used Ring Central as a dialer augmentation to the main CRM dialer that we used. It was very easy to use to contact potential clients when other systems were down.

Inconvénients

I was not exposed to the software's full featured potential based on the way that my company used it and how it was taught to me.

Easy to Use

RingCentral is a great phone product. I've used this for years and have recommended it to many people. It's features are easy to use and you get a lot for the price. It doesn't matter if you're new start up or you've been around for years, RingCentral has great options to help with your telephone needs. The extension and voicemail features are easy to use. I think the phone app is awesome. This product enabled us to provide phone access to our team members without having to install phone lines in each of our offices. The app makes it so that you no longer need a traditional phone on your desk. The software lets you set hours of operation. Plus, you can even create rules for call handling for specific days and times.
