My Take
For the most part, Rollbar works for what I want it to - which is tracking the exceptions that are thrown throughout my system.
Avantages
Rollbar does its job - which is keep track of exceptions. I am able to track exceptions across environments, frameworks, and languages.
Inconvénients
The UI is slow to load. I additionally find the search feature to not be very helpful. Lastly, I find grouping to be difficult.

Some of the features of the UI don't make a ton of sense to me...
Searching for items is really clunky. Sometimes you can search for keywords in the error titles but sometimes you cannot, seems to depend on the word or title.

Rollbar is an awesome tool
Rollbar is really good and fits for our purpose really well. We use it mainly to send logs of errors and it helps us identifying issues within our softwares which use it.
Avantages
The items page is really organised, the custom objects are very useful too.
RQL - are very handy in order to investigate specific errors occurring on our client base.
Inconvénients
I wish I could tell rollbar to ignore some items and stop registering them on our account. Muting doesn't completely resolve, because it continues consuming our quota. We use the software to log some embedded systems, which are hard to update. And sometimes when there is a fix to an ocurrence in a newer version, the old ones keep triggering the old ocurrences, which we would like to no longer receive.

Avantages
The configuration options allowing me to customize the management of multiple projects. And as an addition I really like the diverse tech stack integrations for Rollbar when using diverse programming languages.
Inconvénients
The amount of Rollbar API updates, too many to stay up to date reasonably without investing too much time in the maintance of the integration.

Necessary for my job
I use it every single day. I get Slack notifications any time a Rollbar error occurs. To be honest, the word "Rollbar" stresses me out, because it reminds me of all the bugs I've caught. That's a testament to how much I use it.
Avantages
Rollbar helps us catch issues in production, and respond to them as quickly as possible. Without Rollbar, we would miss hundreds of issues. Seriously, it's extremely helpful.
Inconvénients
The UI makes it a bit difficult to navigate. For example, some hyperlinks navigate to a Rollbar page, while others navigate to the hyperlink's actual URL.

Needs more feature
Not happy at all. On the verge to move log rockett which likely has similar pricinging and more useful feature.

The real time error loging and mostly easy setup.
Inconvénients
UI needs to lot of works to make it user friendly.Telemetry doesn't give a better picture of the error and often confusing. Suspect deploy always defaults latest deployment which make that feature useless.

The best way to find bugs before users do!
Trying to log error events in order to identify and fix bugs that our users were sometimes complaining about but we couldn't identify the root cause.
Avantages
It is very to see errors as they get logged in the system so that we can identify, prioritize and fix software issues. It is very helpful to see the errors come through that meant a user definitely got an error but it wasn't bad enough for them to contact support regarding the issue but we can still find it and get it resolved.
Inconvénients
I think it would be awesome to have a button to create a github issue from the item in the errors log. It is somewhat difficult for us to track the issues in GitHub and wether they have been resolved with the items in Rollbar.

Error reporting works great, UI is not great
It's ok, if something with a more stable UI came out, I would explore that option.
Avantages
A concise place to find all errors. Easy to hook up to the app.
Inconvénients
Many times when I try to use the web app, UI will become buggy. Things will disappear when selected, grouping doesn't work etc. This is especially difficult when I am reacting to an incident.

It's easy to use and has helped us keep up with anything that goes wrong much faster than if we weren't using it.
Inconvénients
The UI can be pretty slow, and I wish there were a dark mode so I can put it on tvs above the developers without being super bright. I also work a lot at night and a dark mode would be great.

Avantages
Easy to find out about uncaught exceptions. I am able to be notified in Slack.
Inconvénients
It is a little difficult to debug an error. I think it is weird to click on the error timestamp to go to the traceback, but I don't know if there is another way. Also, website does not work well on mobile devices.

Great product, slow support
I love the product and have used in in multiple projects but recent poor experiences with quality and support have led me to stop recommending it.

The product is flexible and powerful. It's very easy to setup and has a lot of great integrations.

Their support responses are slow and they are very, very slow to fix serious bugs.

When it works, it's great
Avantages
I like the level of detail that the error reports provide. It makes it really easy to identify the section of the code that's causing the issue. Being able to see the parameters the caused the error is very powerful.
Inconvénients
It was working great, but in the last 3 months it's randomly not capturing all errors. Although nothing has changed on our end, only some issues show up in Rollbar. The filters now seem to not be functioning correctly either.

Not bad, but customer service is lacking
Good when it is working and set up. No issues, and easy to monitor.
Avantages
It is easy to use, easy to set up, and once set up seems to be great capturing a lot of details.
Inconvénients
We had a developer leave the team as the administrator. Once he left, we tried to get customer service to help us reinstate someone as an administrator. We gave them everything that would be necessary, but they couldn't help us. They were worse than unhelpful, they wasted time and resources, and due to that I can't say that I'd recommend this to anybody. Furthermore, we recently were contacted by another department within our organization that said they were added to our account and needed assistance by the administrator.... right. I don't know why somebody would add new customers to an existing account, but then again, like I said, customer service sort of killed it.

No Search, Slow Results
Not great, we got the better volume noticed, but not being able to search or find an issue from some identifier has been a deal breaker.
Avantages
other than recent problems, handles notifications well. Handles overages in a fair way. Allows a lot to be collected.
Inconvénients
Search is terrible. It’s very slow and often not found. If I have a problem from a customer it is nearly impossible to find that item (even if they gave us the unique ID we generated).

Efficiently Resolve you system Issues
It is really good tool, helping to stabilise the systems, enhance user experiences so they face lesser issues.
Avantages
It was very to use and integrate with most of the applications we develop in technologies like ROR, GO etc.
Their notifications on email, slack are instantaneous and provide real time alerts to the team.
Their resolve & re-activations are perfect that alerts teams about repeat occurrences of existing system issues.
Inconvénients
Grouping of similar issues. Few times I observed similar exceptions are grouped correctly and few times they are treated separately that causes devs to dig into the list and spend more time.

Overall Rollbar has saved me and the company a lot of effort and time by letting us know exactly where the problem is, when it happened, who it affected.

Clever name I guess. Better than nothing. I miss honeybadger.
Inconvénients
It’s a bad choice for AWS lambda, just painful.
The client has an inscrutable api and the typescript definitions are wrong or missing. Doesn’t even support async/await or promises.

Trying to stay on top of production issues before our customers experience them is the reason behind Rollbar.
Avantages
Being able to get direct access to incidents from my phone is the most important feature - then switching to the desktop for resolution is easy.
Inconvénients
Sometimes, there are ways too many errors in the dev environment and it would be nice to be able to filter out those issues that you do not want to see while you try to focus on resolving a specific problem. maybe a lack of my current understanding.

Solid error tracking service
Our team has been testing Rollbar as a possible replacement for Honeybadger and has liked it enough to decide to make the switch! Some of the features that stood out to us:
* Better UI/UX in general that makes the app feel more comfortable to use
* Pricing is more affordable (assuming a reasonable number of events per month)
* Powerful notification settings, letting us set up different issue severity and only receive notifications on what matters most (more signal, less noise)
* Mute option (another way to cut down on the noise)
* More logical error grouping (especially for JavaScript errors)
* More powerful options for auto-resolving and cleaning up old errors
* Nice "person tracking" functionality to see who is affected by various errors
* Good asynchronous error reporting options in the Ruby adapter
* RQL query language for powerful searching (although it's still a little rough around the edges)
We ran into a few minor annoyances:
* The gem providing Resque support is developed by a third-party and doesn't seem to get much use (1 watcher and 4 stars as of the time of this review). Honeybadger provides native Resque support in the official Ruby gem.
* There doesn't seem to be any search functionality on the documentation page.
* No documentation and a slightly unintuitive workflow for one of the integrations we use.
Overall, Rollbar looks like a solid service that was easy to set up, easy to use, and has some powerful features for searching through past error data. We're looking forward to making the switch.

At Nightwatch.io, we are genuinely impressed by the error tracking power that Rollbar provides us. With its numerous integrations, we pipelined the error messages directly to our chatroom so we can eradicate bugs right away. It's one of those systems that are so useful you don't even think about not using them when starting a new programming adventure.

The setup is easy, and the product is very feature-rich. It is powerful and integrates with popular tools (e.g. Github, Slack) to tie into your team's processes. I like being able to push errors from different platforms and languages into one system for alerting and reporting.
Inconvénients
The UI generally stays out of your way, but this can make configuring certain things a bit tough (e.g. custom error groupings uses a JSON configuration).

Email integration, managing errors like marking them as resolved is very easy and intuitive. Versioning in errors can be done with some few commands which can be really useful.
We are using Slack integration with Rollbar and its reporting is almost immediate.
Inconvénients
Errors do not get into correct versions of app sometimes. Also, I am still struggling with map files as JavaScript errors are really hard to decode without map js files

Haven't used nano php_error.log since I started to use this program
Starting to use a consolidating error log was a game changer for our developer (and the users of our site). In our company, we try to spend every Thursday to eliminate all the bugs from the site and categorise them as Error or Warning and give them better titels.

Generally a good experience. We use Rollbar to identify bugs on our site and quickly give us more detail about the issue.
Avantages
The product is easy to use and find what you are looking for. Issues can be quickly identified and you can drill right down into the specifics of an issue. It is fairly easy to see where you are and what you are looking at.
Inconvénients
The interface is a bit cluttered. It would be nice to be able to choose which widgets I want to show in the side bar and ignore the rest. The documentation is often lacking.

I haven't seen any issues with sending errors to Rollbar, most if not all seem to end up in the system.
Inconvénients
Navigating to the correct application and environment is so bad it makes me sad every time I have to use it. It became even worse after the ‘redesign’.
