Bad, bad customer service

Only allow chat support. Added a feature and am paying for it but not delivered. Chat support person says will email department responsible but will not let me contact them directly. Was told a person left and did not finish my request. It has been 6 weeks and still no action.

Avantages

Easy to use calendar, shows full month and color coding is helpful.

Inconvénients

Customer support is terrible. They stopped using phone support and announced chat support only. The problem is chat support does not have the authority to fix anything.

My review

Generally a good experience apart from the avbove mentioned points

Avantages

In general relatively easy to use and stable. No serious problem so far which is the basis for this type of product

Inconvénients

- Sometimes a bit sow- I requested an alternative way of displaying the availability on the web but so far no response - messages to customers could a little bit more modern and flexible (pictures, titles...)

Good product

I used this Software for a year. It is a good product if you have a small Hotel. They don't offer PSM, only channel manager. It is easy to use, but they created a Beta version for bookings and I started to get overbookings. I try to contact technical supper several times, and they answered me like one month later. I had to be very careful with the Beta version, because of that. After one year contract, I decided to try another product, with better costomer service. And with PSM to make my life easier.

Avantages

Very easy to use. You can use it in any computer with internet. Easy to find reservations, cancellations, etc.

Inconvénients

Very slow customer service. They don't answer fast when you have the problem and need to solve it in that moment. They don't have live chat. The beta version has many mistakes, like over bookings. The mobile version is not very friendly, very small, not really for smartphones.

Very Disappointed and Frustrated

Avantages

It looks impressive but is severely lacking.

Inconvénients

Lack of financial reports. Due to workarounds to get this software to work so we can actually operate, the financial reports are very inaccurate. I have been unable to prepare financial reports for my board of directors and the CRA. The latest news was we will have to print all of out transactions for the last 6 months and prepare our financial reports. This will probably take a month for one person to do. Between this extra cost for labour and time spent on hold and talking with the help desk almost daily, sometimes twice a day the extra costs to use this software is huge. I was told the transition from Resovation which Eviivo acquired would be "seemless". I didn't see that one coming and I dout Eviivo did either.

I find creating rates rate, but I'm not good on programs.

Losing business by the hour

We are still disconnected from Expedia and Booking.com.... 3 WEEKS later. We are losing business by the hour and their only response so far is that they told us it would take this long.... HOW???? if they knew what they were doing it would not. Most of the reports we need on a weekly/monthly basis are non existent.
We are so upset and disappointed and are looking towards another booking software immediately. We also paid for the booking engine to be put on our website out of pocket and will now have to pay all over again.

Avantages

Nothing, absolutely the worst support I have experienced in my 35 years of hospitality industry. We have literally been left in the dark and there is no support whatsoever.

Inconvénients

They are completely incompetent. NON existent support. No one answers emails, no one is available on the Chat support... ever, not one query or plea for help answered since going live (by the way we were switched live with no warning)

Perfect for small properties

Overall I have been pleased with the service received

Avantages

Ease of use with OTAs, ease of use for front desk personnel, mobility of use for working out of the office

Inconvénients

Used to be difficult to remove OTA reservations that changed or cancelled, they have since made it easier to contact them for removal

Eviivo Booking engine

Over all we are pleased with Eviivo. The more we play around with settings and features, the more we have been able to refine things to our needs.

Avantages

Set up and general usage. The way we show on third party booking sites.

Inconvénients

Lack of direct customer support on Sundays, and the limited availability of support on Saturdays. We are a bed and breakfast and the weekends are our busiest times. Having support to resolve issues would be very helpfull.

Channel manager for accomodations bookings

With this suite I don't have to be glued to my computer or tablet. I know when someone books they have received a confirmation and the calendars have been updated so I wont get any double bookings.

Avantages

This program updates the calendars of all the on line booking agents (OTAs) that I use along with my own web site. It is like having a staff member.

Inconvénients

I thought it would drive more direct bookings but the majority of my bookings have been through the OTAs

Better than the last

I am very happy with Eviivo. With the support I have received, I feel like I can really just about do anything well into my 80's.

Avantages

I really appreciate a lot of things. 1. I like that I can print invoices. The last system I used did not have that feature. I had to create my own. 2. I like the Diary. It is much more useful and easier to use than what I was using before. 3. The customer service people have always been helpful and very informative every time I call.

Inconvénients

1. It was a lot harder and more tedious to set up than the last one I was using. 2. It does not require my guest's to provide a full address when they book.

Make it better.

Poor. Only 2 years of past data was transferred from Rezovation. I will be looking at other software options this year.

Avantages

Email tracking with guests. Connection with OTA's, although this was not working well in the beginning.

Inconvénients

It is very cumbersome. Some tasks that took 1 step in Rezovation take 2-3 steps. You cannot change rates easily in an individual multi night reservation, it does an average. All guest information should be on one page when inputting a reservation. You have to click on the address drop down. Close out for OTA's is difficult since you have to do each weekend separately. Cannot customize room descriptions.

Easy to use and full of the needed features

Eviivo was so easy to integrate with our practices and it changed the way we work for the better. More direct contact with the clients reserving, no more errors or double booking, super easy integration with our website.

Eviivo Software

We use Eviivo to manage the bookings, payments and rates. I have found

Avantages

It is a very capable software package with very good on-line support and good off-line self-learning modules. Visually it is excellent.

Inconvénients

Eviivo's own merchant service is appalling in that the money is received from 4 to 8 weeks after it has been charged. In this day and age there is no real justification for such a delay, and it causes significant cash flow issues to small businesses like mine.

Excellent management system.

We went from taking phone calls and opening emails for bookings then dealing with replies and questions, which is very time consuming, to having all customer booking details and payments dealt with by Eviivo with very little effort from us. It was such a relief to find a system so easy to use and for a very reasonable fee.

Avantages

So easy to navigate and use. It captures all relevant information from the online travel agents and puts it in one user friendly space.

Inconvénients

There is nothing to dislike with this software system.

Great staff

Eviivo is a great for my Bed and Breakfast business. Everthing you need is there. Changes can be made easily and quickly. Staff are always helpful, friendly, and professional

Avantages

My online diary is very easy to use. All OTAs can be opted in.

Inconvénients

Sometimes I prefer to talk to a member of the team about something I may not be sure about, rather than use the chatline.

Disgusting service

They've bought Xotelia channel manager and shut it down since 30th of June 2019. After initial demo they promised that will contact me to migrate from Xotelia into a new system. But no-one did. I am really disappointed, such companies shouldn't exist in the market.

I've liked nothing, literally nothing at all about the software

Inconvénients

Totally unacceptable customer support. I've tried to write them emails, called all their public phones but didn't receive any answer for two weeks.

We are very pleased with Xotelia

Both my husband and I like Xotelia. This software makes it possible to have more than one booking agency without risking double bookings. We also have good experience when it comes to product support.

Avantages

Xotelia is very easy to use and it gives us a good overview of daily arrivals and departures, as well as of the latest bookings. It is also easy to make a manual reservation.

Inconvénients

When we need to change a booking, we must first cancel the entire booking and thereafter make a new booking. In this process we are always afraid that someone else for a minute or so can reserve the room we are on our way to reserve. But that is perhaps not the case?

Wonderful Experience

I am very pleased with eviivo suite and hope it never goes away!

Avantages

When I first signed up with eviivo suite I found that is was rather difficult to understand and get comfortable with it. This was because it offered so many more options and features than my previous software (Resovation). I am now very satisfied with it and enjoy using it. Whenever I am stumped on how to do something, there is always someone on the help desk that sets me straight. It has been a wonderful experience.

Inconvénients

As I said above, it was a lot to learn during startup.

An essential tool

First class from start to finish

Avantages

The Eviivo suite provides a privately run B&B or hotel with everything required to get online, manage bookings and communicate with customers. It is wonderful to only deal with one provider in order to have a presence on every website that matters in the hospitality business

Eviivo channel manager: what a terrible mistake

Horrible experience, to be avoided. I am going for an alternative solution even if it means I will need to pay for 2 services for a period of time due to contractual obligations.

Avantages

Nothing that I can think of. Software is not refined nor user-friendly. It is full of bugs and technical glitches causing over or double bookings.

Inconvénients

Over or double bookings due to their technical glitches - that are left unresolved, ruining my client-channel relationships.

Customer support - aggressive and unprofessional. Communication was not clear from the very beginning on the software functionalities and most importantly limitations. (maybe I was unlucky with some of the sales agents).

Mobile application simply does not work as intended, and is full of bugs.

NO COSTUMER SERVICE!!!

Eviivo signs you up, then you will never hear from them again, and dont expect to get the money they owe you. And in case your thinking the otas should being paying me, I contacted Expedia, who did answer immediately, everything is done through eviivo, since I'm connected to them through eviivo.

Avantages

There are some very useful options with eviivo. Connecting to Otas is easy, and being able to set up different seasonal pricing without having to go in and change.

Inconvénients

Absolutely no customer service. In the process of going from rezo to eviivo and connecting to the otas through eviivo and not bedandbreakfast.com, I received a reservation. It was lost in transition. I could never get an answer from eviivo. I emailed, tried their online chat, sat for an hour waiting for someone to come on to no avail. Yes it was during their listed hours. I have had them now 2 months, still haven't received any ota payments. Again emailed, have waited for chat. Finally called the only number available and they cant help with that, it accounting. No one from accounting says there. They would call me back. I'm still waiting!!

Perfekt

Die tägliche Arbeit mit eviivo macht Spaß. Auch weil ein kompetentes Team hinter eviivo steht. Ein Anruf oder ein Chat genügt, falls einmal ein Problem auftaucht. Wir werden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Die Arbeit mit der Software ist super in der Handhabung. Im Dashboard sind alle einzelnen Positionen aufgeführt. Alles für eine reibungslose Arbeit.

Very unsactisfied about this service

Avantages

Xotelia it easy to use and provide some interesting features though not always working. I cannot really say I like something about Xotelia. Indeed, as soon as it was possible, I decided to switch to another channel manager offering, for the same price, a better and more reliable service.

Inconvénients

Pour quality, does not fulfil the featured characteristics, continuous bug causing overbookings, credit card data missing, lagging behind retrieving bookings from the channels.
All suddenly they transformed the customer care service phone number to a premium rate number (0.20 euros a minute). Apart from the good will of a single operator, general support is poor, ineffective and slow. Commercial support service it is even worst.

booking channel isn't well integrated, any changes you want to do from suite level don't really apply to booking channel. Have this issue from very beginning, long waiting time for fixtures and identifying the problems

Customer Support

I have had great service with Eviivo. I especially like the customer service chat, I get immediate service and resolution within minutes of my initiation.

Avantages

I like the Customer Support very much. I have always had my questions answered promptly and issues resolved promptly. The Software is easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Inconvénients

It does take a little bit to set up and to understand the software, but once you get it set up, it is easy to use.

Affordable and improving

It was very hard to migrate and get someone to help me set things up. Few features that were promised in the beginning were not available so that was upsetting but seeing eviivo improve and implement new add ons makes it easier and easier.

Avantages

It is very easy to use, double bookings don't happen.

Inconvénients

Eviivo is constantly improving but every time there are major changes done, some of my original setting get messed up. Technical part of the software needs a lot of work. Few features like adding events could really make a big difference.

Rubbish Support

The main problem with this was the support. Whenever I had a problem with rates or missing images or whatever, it was always someone else's (Booking.com for instance) fault. I was emailing constantly trying to get things fixed, but they didn't care. If I went on to the online chat, often the information I was given was contradictory.

When I threatened to leave they gave me 3 months free. But nothing improved really. I would never recommend them to anyone!

Avantages

Not much at all really. It was quite complicated to learn. There seems to be several places where the user can add rates, but sometimes it doesn't display properly because it should have been done somewhere else. it didn't make sense.

Inconvénients

Some of the user interfaces were not very user friendly and there seemed to be several places where you could do the same thing.

Eviivo mishandles forced conversion leaving hundreds without service

Customer service was nice, if we could get a hold of them at all, but every promise to convert did not happen. The message is "There has been an issue with importing data". OK, then leave the old booking engine open until issues are resolved. They shut down Webervations and RezOvations before they were technically able to convert to their system.

Avantages

While pricing seemed attractive they could not deliver leaving me and numerous others without service.

Inconvénients

All of us on Webervations and RexOvations were forced to convert to Eviivo. They closed our booking engines without providing ample support for converting us to the new system leaving numerous and maybe hundreds of lodging sites with no online booking presence. We are talking about thousands of dollars in losses.

Eviivo diary

Eviivo customer service is excellent.I have always found the service readily available,and the call handlers very helpful and courteous.

Avantages

The diary is straightforward and easily accessible.

Inconvénients

I found the previous rate changing process a bit clunky.I think it has now improved.

Un outil important de travail

I work with xotelia 3 years now and I see the company evaluate, grow every year. Very important util of work and I'm really happy to have it. Still have things to evaluated more, but it is very very nice and useful

Avantages

The immediate update of all the internet channel. This help to overpass over bookings problems.

Inconvénients

Some channel still waiting for evoluation, like the link with Hotelbeds.

I never had any problems. When I had questions the support team was great at explaining. I lost my business due to Covid. My dreams, hardwork and my goals were taken from me with one outbreak. I had to cancel my account. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] showed me so much compassion. I cannot thank her enough. A little goes a long way and she went beyond that.

Avantages

Easy to use for this old gal. There were many things in the system that I did not use. I had a little inn, but I liked the parts I used.

Seriously nothing. I was pleased with all of it.

Eviivo smart suite

Overall experience has been very positive

Avantages

Great system, very user friendly. good diary system. easy to take payments. Easy to iupdate with special offers

Inconvénients

No real issues with the system. The initial training was good but until you use the system yourself and explore you cannot learn it thoroughly

Grossly Misrepresented and Fell way short!

Eviivo was no more ready to get in to the US Bed and Breakfast software business than the Man in the Moon. I Regret the moment Expedia bought Rezovation and again the day Expedia sold our info to Eviivo. This is an Inn Program that doesn't accommodate Gift Certificates!! It doesn't have Vehicle Info on the Registration Form!! - It puts the private Internal Desk Notes on the Maids Sheet and doesn't see where that's a problem... Totally incapable of taking over Rezo customers and sales team totally misrepresented their abilities.

Avantages

That it is a Month to Month contract and I can leave.

Inconvénients

ZERO Customer Service - Laughable that they say Chat and Email Customer Service - Never available - Chat closed or backed way up. Couldn't answer question when finally reached - Totally infuriating

Das Team von eviivo gibt sich Mühe allen gerecht zu werden, Sie haben Geduld für nicht PC kenner.

Avantages

Übersichtlich der Buchungsmaske, Funktionen zur aus Wahl, Benutzerfreundlich

Inconvénients

zu Umfangreich daher etwas schwierig zu Nutzen für nicht PC Kenner.
Auch die vorgegebenen Hilfefragen geben meist nicht die richtige Hilfestellung so das man immer Chatten muss.

Strong Customer Service

For a baby boomer who learned how to use software flying by the seat of my pants, the program was a little daunting at first. But after some time and help from customer service it has become very easy for me to use. I've made some mistakes, but customer service was able to correct them for me. Now I feel very comfortable with the program. There are many reports and areas that I am still not familiar with, but overall I am pleased with Eviivo.

Avantages

Ease of use and the functionality of the Diary.

Inconvénients

I would like some additional seminars on the use of some of the reports that I can access.

very fond of eviivo, especially the customer service we receive from sarah .

Avantages

i purchased a functioning bnb that utilized this system, and the transfer of ownership has been made easy by eviivo and their fantastic customer support. we started using it with mobile already in place, but the mobile is great-other than must go to eviivo suite to process payments.

Inconvénients

no real complaints other than having to have eviivo suite to process payments.

Great and helpful

It was very easy to use even if I did not get any training it was my staff that got it but when I was playing around with it. It was very user friendly.

Excellent online booking app for b&b's

For 2 year now, I use the Xotelia app for my b&b (5 rooms) and one tourist residence in Montréal, Québec. This is the perfect platform to manage my direct , Booking and Expedia reservations. My occupation rate has simply exploded!!! Xotelia is a human size and dynamic company and provides a great professional service.

Avantages

It's user friendly and good money for the value. It's advancing very rapidly and constantly evolving.

Up to date real time bookings

One stop shop

Avantages

Simple to operate and keep all my bookings in one place never had a double booking with eviivo. Eviivo was my first point of contact back in 2012 and I have used the suite to both manage my bookings as well as my website

Inconvénients

Only niggle is not being able to simply move a close out - have to delete it then re close out. Sadly its a shame that there is an ongoing monthly charge even if no bookings have come through but this has been evened out with no charges on direct online bookings

Eviivo has the worst customer service

Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with Eviivo. Connection with Expedia took 3 weeks and no one wants to step up and take ownership or help from Eviivo. It is still not fully connected. They're all blaming me and not really take any responsibility. Customer is really poor and you're not going to get a lot of help from them. I really wish I stayed with my old PMS system instead of Eviivo. One you signed a contract with them, they don't really care as a customer. Once you're a big company, they don't care about the little customers.

Avantages

Nice website to make you sign up. It's able to connect to many channels.

Inconvénients

Customer service is really poor. It doesn't have user management feature. You need to contact customer service.
