great over all PMS

There was no PMS in place when I purchased the inn. eviivo has allowed me to run reservations much better than the previous owner.

Avantages

Very easy to setup and use. Intuitive GUI. Company is always working to add new features.

Inconvénients

The Group Booking function is a bit clunky to apply discounts or promotions I have to touch each individual room booked, not at a group level, yet I can attribute payment on one to cover all.

Not just a software. Eviivo is a great team , ready to help,just what my small Guest House...

Avantages

Easy to use and great reports available. The set up was very simple and the training provided on line was very clear and accessible. Excellent support from the Eviivo team throughout the period I have been using the software.

Inconvénients

I am probably not using all the software to its maximum for my business; but this is my fault not theirs. I need to invest a little more time in using the software which will save me time in the longer run.

Eviivo

Avantages

Eviivo is quite user-friendly and definitely affordable compared to other software packages. I appreciate that I can use only the aspects that I need (I don't take payments through Eviivo, only use it as an avenue for guests to book a room themselves).

Inconvénients

I would appreciate it if guests had to put more information about their trip like food allergies and special needs, reason for travel to our area, full address (I can't tell what state they are coming from, approximate time of arrival, how they heard of us, etc).

Superb in every way

Avantages

We own and run a very successful small award winning Bed & Breakfast in Northamptonshire and Eviivo was initially recommended to us by a close friend who could not recommend them highly enough. Our experience with Eviivo was nothing less than totally professional at all times, their software has been so well developed and it took us no time at all to to feel we had been using it for years - their training was second to non and really helped when starting to get to grips with the software and what we particularly liked was how flexible it was towards our business. I really cannot recommend Eviivo highly enough you made was was initially a minefield a complete pleasure.

Inconvénients

I have none at all, everything was so well thought out and there was always someone on the end of a telephone to help out if needed.

Software is good

As described a very comprehensive solution for an industry from Bed and Breakfast to multi room hotels. Even a person who is digitally challenged like myself working through the help desk has used it successfully for over 10 years

Very User Friendly

I was using it daily until COVID19 hit. Now I am getting a large amount of cancellations, but I am also blocking my calendar.

Avantages

my initial training session was very important and over time - it is quite an easy system to use

Inconvénients

Nothing so far, but I do need to take the time and discover all that Eviivo does.

We are a small Bed & Breakfast with only 2 suites and it was important I had an easy / efficient channel manager. The customer service support was also quite important. I do like their follow up and the reaching out to the business owners.

Inherited this product....

Monthly costs remain where we have bookings or not.... Most of our bookings are done outside of needing Eviivo and Merchant Bank.....

Avantages

Converting over from Rezovation to Eviivo got off slowly due to Bad communication; once we got rolling it went ok...

Inconvénients

Once we were done with the conversion team we fell into a hole; where All, and I mean All communication was done on line and response we slow, until the 3rd or 4th email.... trying to find a call to call was very time consuming, and I ended up having to reach out, back to my conversion team...
We have additional costs that were not there with the old software; intuit was not available for payments, so we had to switch - also with more costs to us...

You are absolutely correct. The migration that we put you and other RezOvation customers through during the migration from the selling entity was a poor experience for many. The US team was brand new, the seller provided an unrealistic timeline and some very poor assistance and eviivo is still sporting a black eye from the experience more than 18 months later.

I am staring at your booking report and would love to chat with you on how your experience has been in the 18 months since the migration. We have enhanced the solution tremendously and our recent ratings by most have almost exclusively been 4s & 5s. Perfect Partner

I find Eviivo a "perfect partner "for my business. They specialise with Guest Houses and small hotels in general and as such I feel they have a unique position in the Industry.They appreciate day to day issues at my level of the market and have support staff ready and able to advise on all issues from pricing, offers, website issues etc

Avantages

We were a new start in this business. We were aware of Free to Book and Queensborough but opted for Eviivo and they have assisted us throughout. I only have to deal with Eviivo who manage the critical process of dealing with 3rd party OTA's and reconciling revenue take and commissions which is so efficient.

Inconvénients

Nothing specific. In general I find the system relatively straightforward for my needs

An excellent platform for the small hotelier and great company to deal with

Good customer support

Helps us centralize the management of our hotel

Avantages

The Live Chat support is fairly quick and helpful. There are also lots of resources to learn how to use the software and free classes to learn with an expert.

Inconvénients

1. It would be beneficial if eviivo had a dedicated account manager for users to contact direct for that added personal support. 2. More third party integrations / a site where users can vote and see upcoming integrations to be added to eviivo.

Eviivo Review

Excellent

Avantages

Ease of use and features. I find Eviivo to be straight forward to use and set up and the support is excellent.

Inconvénients

Reports are a but confusing to me but I probably just need to read more about them and understand which reports to print for what I need.

Great help from support

Today my overall was GREAT! after three days trying to reach support, calling, using self help and trying to chat I got no one.
I have five riverside log cabins and I was adding a sixth. I was rusty on all the set up criteria and needed help for three days. I forget how I reached him exactly but when I reached [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] he answered every question and helped me by actually making a couple changes on things I was having difficulty with and walking me through other items. Probably had 5 or 6 different unfinished items to go live. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] helped through all of it. It was just hard to reach a person. When I did it all went well.

Avantages

It can do anything a vacation rental owner can possible think of.

Inconvénients

More selections when setting up for small users and not big hotels.

Eviivo allows us to enjoy the benefits of a large group while being a small establishment.

Avantages

The real time management of the planning and this whatever the origin of the reservation. The presence on many sites without having to intervene. A management tool of our tariffs easy to use

Inconvénients

I do not use the billing tool because we had one before joining Eviivo. Everything suits me on the site of Eviivo and it is difficult to say what suits me the least.

Great system but some flaws

The new app is very helpful to manage bookings and the platform is robust and flexible

There is no ability to issue vouchers which is a problem and it doesn't cope well with seasonal bookings

Amazing Customer Service

I recently added a new room to our venue. It was quick, easy and when I got stuch, the 'chat' option was available. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was incredible at explaining what I have to do next. It's great to now have the confidence I can do it myself next time due to the instruction I was given.

Avantages

I have complete control over what goes out to our customers and can adapt as and when required.

Inconvénients

The 'Block' option should have an alternative to maintenance. If a group deal was made in house, it's sometimes easier to block the rooms instead.

Best Customer Service

When I was notified that eviivo would take over Rezovation which I used for 13 years, I was worried. however, all agents of eviivo I came in contact with have performed better than I could have imagined. it is just comforting to know that a team of eviivo has your back . thank you, I love you all.

nothing, I cannot say any negative word about this product. i am a completly satisfied customer. At 72 i need a lot of support when it comes to software.

Best customer service company

I have used eviivo since it was available in the US, maybe 8 to 10 years???? Not sure anymore. They took me over from REZOVATION

Avantages

ease of use, but more importantly the unbelievable positive experience with eviivo's customer service. Certainly the best customer service experience with any company I deal with and that includes companies like BMW etc. The eviivo training program for customer service agents and their employment selection must be the best.

Great Product, Once Teething Problems Were Addressed

Avantages

The Eviivo suite is generally very user-friendly and interfaces well with Online Travel Agencies. Customer support is generally good and usually accessible very promptly.

Inconvénients

The transition to the Eviivo suite was very problematic, not helped by having little or no customer support at that time (Spring 2019). Clearly the company/team were completely overwhelmed but we had no idea what was going on, as we (generally) got no response to requests for support by email or voicemail. Hopefully that was a one-off, as customer support is now generally good.

The most annoying remaining issue is that, at our subscription level, customers cannot make reservations online using American Express. This is hard to fathom for a product being sold in the USA and we feel certain that this has cost us business.

Many problems with payment online

It is very easy to use, many options, good price

Malleus Property Review

I do find Eviivo challenging to use and my staff members that are not particularly 'tech-savvy' did not understand it. However I believe that this is not a fault of Eviivo but because it is a complex system that is required to interact with other complex websites/OTAs.
It could perhaps be slightly more user friendly and perhaps have some little 'info' buttons next to fields that you could click on for an explanation of what is required.
This could save user having to dip back into the 'university' videos or have to go into chat.

Avantages

The whole system works really well when fully understood by the user and used correctly. The Tech support are helpful and have always helped me resolve any issues I have and helped me learn to use the system.

Inconvénients

It is a challenging software for a new user and it has taken time to become proficient in using it.

Great Experience

HomeAway's staff is great. Having used old Rezov Desktop version for 8 years I've had many years of experience with their software and support staff. Upon wanting to update to a web based version I used a competitor for 3 mo's and although I devoted a LOT OF TIME I switched back to Rezov and have been happy primarily due to the EXCELLENT support staff, in my opinion second only to Apple's. No one's software is perfect but having great support staff is critical and most of the same team has been with this company all these years which says a lot :-)

Avantages

The Tech Support Team is Heads and Tails above the competition. I'm not sure about some of these reviews as I have had such GREAT support. Yes would like to see better reports and few other things but that happens with lot of software. The support really makes the program stand out. And I've had no problems with the booking interface. Got notice 10/2017 that the HTLM version is coming next month and with it better reports :-).

Dire customer service

They charge a premium but provide no backup the system had many flaws and gremlins which meant bookings suffered and this London based company was never interested in resolving issues quickly they where however very efficient at sending out their invoices

Simple and Easy to use, lots of channels.

Inconvénients

Lots of software issues and zero customer service. Would not recommend to anyone took days for them to respond to emails and phone calls when things went wrong which they frequently did. Beware.

A great product, to which we were introduced when we started out 14 years ago.

They have always tried to be helpful whenever we have asked, and were good enough to make us one of their finalists as a "quirky stay". I have the feeling however that they are now so big and successful that the single product client (as opposed to the multiple owner or large chain) is more of a nuisance - especially one who isn't really "into" all the social media exercise.

It takes the strain of managing the calendar - and in so doing keeps us on the level

Inconvénients

They have revised the boking system, and while it is very clever we find it also very confusing because the online instructions for use are complicated perhaps inevitable because it is so clever!

Easy to use software

Switching software is always a challenge because it is different and not what you are use to. Eviivo suite is very user friendly and didn't take long to learn all the in's and out's.

Avantages

Eviivo is very user friendly. I took the tutorial offered, and after watching that it wasn't that hard to initially set up.

Inconvénients

Once you are live some things are locked in and you need to get help if you want to change things up. But this is very easy to do. Someone is available on live chat to help you out.

I WISH I read reviews before switching to eviivio

Avantages

Nothing . I used webervations for years and had no choice to switch

Inconvénients

THey advertised that they could be channel manager and connect/sync my calender, pricing etc with booking.com, expedia and airb

I gat 97 % of my bookings from Exp and booking.com .

After 2 months they could not connect with expedia. They kept promising, said wait. Then . disappear with no response from even the Snt Customer rep I finally talked to.

What lost me about $10 000 in revenue was that while they were unsuccessfully trying and failing to sync/connect with expedia, expedia stopped listing my property- they said as long as I have a contract with eviivio, they could not sell my rooms- and now . signing a new contract with exp, getting rooms and inventory . listed is taking another 2 weeks. So half my bookings in peak season was gone- I have had 4 yrs with very few vacancies per year- now I have constant vacancies thanks to Eviivio .

I wish SOMEONE would post an alternative- I cannot afford the downtime of . a channel manager making promises and taking months to get going

Wonderful Lodging Reservation System

Eviivo

Very frustrating dealing with European service at first. Once discovered US helpers went much smoother (even though I was told not to talk to them)

Avantages

Easy to use. Customer service generally helpful.

Inconvénients

When first joined through European group was supposed to have a tutorial for discount but they were always at 3 or 4 in morning. Very impratical. Still no follow-up to this complaint. Finally told I was to call London, Engl. Not likely.
Other item was transferring Excel info from your summary to mine. When I delete so many unneces columns I should be able to save so I don't have to reinvent wheel each time.
Finally, trying to figure out how to get larger font on summary sheets so can see customers name easier.

Complete Package, great value.

Overall I have been very impressed over the 10+ years I have used their software. I have dabbled with other options but none are as complete and reliable.

Avantages

Compared to similar solutions the eviivo suite is a very complete and well designed bit of software. There are fairly regular updates and improvements and the customer service and support is brilliant.

Inconvénients

The multi-property version needs a few tweeks, for example on one tab you can select a property move to another tab and it has a different property selected which can cause you to change details on the wrong one. Not a huge issue if you are paying attention but it has caught me out a couple times

Easy to use flexible and meets our needs

Avantages

Can be used anywhere. Keeps us compliant. Has more scope than we use at the moment. Gets regular updates to functions.

Inconvénients

Need to sort disaster recovery solutions a bit slicker. Can go dormant whilst using it from time to time.

Software with a lot of options!!!

Avantages

I became associated with this software when the previous software company REZOVATIONS sold to Eviivo. The transition was a bit bumpy at first but over time Eviivo has become enjoyable to use. It has a lot of capability with a lot of options. Customer service is sometimes right on with help, other times I struggle to get a solution or a satisfying answer to my question or concern. I would like to see an improvement to the the ability to send email confirmations and correspondence to our customers.

It would be nice to be able to preview or edit the email before you send it to your customer. Some times it becomes this software makes it difficult to change the price of a room when you book it.

Extremely slow to respond, read the small print

None and they are charging me for service not received.

Avantages

I have used several software programs for booking reservations. I was looking for very specific characteristics. I was initially impressed that a "training" was required to fully review the software. It APPEARED to be very personal attention and their desire for maximum success.

Inconvénients

I could not review this software without signing up for a training. Like most others I breezed through the terms of the agreement in a hurry to get to see if this software would work for me. It turns out that by agreeing to the terms of agreement you are agreeing to being billed for 12 months for their service. Once I went through their training and saw the complete service and not having my followup questions answered I decided not to use this software. I was surprised to find that, despite not using their software for even one day, I am being charged for their services for 12 months. I emailed them and asked this to be corrected and to credit my payments due to not using their service and they refused. I let them know that I would do what I could to warn others of this little "trick" (who reads the small print? who would think that by going through the sign-up process, which happens all the time before seeing a product, in order to be introduced to their service they would charge for 12 months of service even though their services were never used?) So, beware. If you want to use this service they require that you go through a training to see what the service is but by agreeing to review their product via a training you are also agreeing to pay for a 12 month subscription. Secondly, the questions I had following the training were never answered. One email was "answered" (with a non-answer email) weeks later with an apology that they were SO busy.

eviivo suite Review

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is amazing.

Avantages

Detailed, relatively easy to learn. However, without the assistance of some of Eviivo's representatives, I would have been desperate. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is totally incredible. She is kind, knowledgeable, patient, and ready to offer assistance. With her help I have been able to resolve several major issues regarding the eviivo set up. I am so happy I can turn to her for guidance. Thank you, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]!!!

Inconvénients

Tedious process of acquiring the potential guests addresses. But that, after almost two years, has been rectified.

Great Customer support

Avantages

We are new to the software but so far the support has been great. The support team takes their time answering my questions.

Inconvénients

Nothing so far, I am working on getting the auto emails to go out like I like it but so far it is going OK

Perfect Reservation App for Our Small B&B

Avantages

Ease of use to set up room rates, season and events was good. Strong graphics of booking calendar are strong features of eviivo suite. Recent updates(more communication templates and automated cleaning buffers) due to COVID19 have been great.

Inconvénients

The basic suite doe not provide a mobile app. This capability is only available on higher-end packages and is an extra charge. In this day and age, the mobile app needs to be included in every suite configuration.

Eviivo is the way to go.

I use the system to manage all my reservations and payment. Completely satisfied.

Avantages

The software is easy to learn and use. It makes managing reservations from booking to check-out and payment stress free. Highly professional and accessible support team is always available.

Inconvénients

After the initial set up and implementation it has run smoothly and efficiently. It is easy to modify and add to.

You get what you pay for

Avantages

the price is the only good feature everything is garnish

Inconvénients

Everything else is awful, we had own a bed and breakfast for 30 years and this software is awful, we had a company that got bought in by eviivo so that’s how we ended it up with them. Prefer the previous software over this one.
9/10 I can’t even log in when using a Mac computer my setting are fine but I don’t think the software responds well to Mac systems
It easy to learn how to use but really slow and takes time for the data to show on the reports,
Doesn’t have any special features, I don’t use their cc processing other wise the charge a commission per reservation on top of their monthly fee

Cost effective booking system with no commission

Extremely bad experience during set up where our listings in Booking.com and Expedia were "off-line" for weeks and o reservations received. However the reservation system is very good and provides a booking facility from my own website at an affordable price. Once the initial transfer from Webervations was completed the applied experience is excellent. (Although with Covid 19 we are shutdown at present)

Avantages

Good reservation system for my own website with cost recovered with one stay as no commission is charged. Reasonably easy to use and keep up to date with reservations, etc. The block feature is excellent and we like the multi-function management of reservations and pricing. The seasonal feature provides for convenient management for given seasons of business.

Inconvénients

No personal contact. Unable to reach anyone by phone and no one ever returns phone calls / reported problems. The 'Chanel Manager' was a disaster, and completely screwed up our Expedia listing. So much so that we are no longer with Expedia. Expedia repeatedly blamed eviivo and eviivo blamed Expedia. We do not want nor will ever want the 'Chanel Manager'. Expedia said that eviivo caused our listing to be invalid and we would need to sign a new contract that was completely unacceptable. Hence we are no longer with Expedia.

Had to switch

It functions just enough to get us through the day. We are not impressed so far.

Avantages

It is mostly similar in function to our old software, which was acquired by Eviivo.

Inconvénients

Our old software company was acquired by Eviivo, so we had no choice in the matter of switching to it. So far, customer service is very difficult to contact, although it is a bit better than it was the first few weeks we had it. There are glitches and interruptions in service. It frequently logs you out, with no option to do so less often. In fact, it is not customizable at all, and our confirmation letters, for instance, do not read as we'd like. Reports are difficult to obtain, and not being able to customize them, do not contain all the information we need to give housekeeping, etc. There is nowhere to record our extensive database of gift certificate numbers.

FRUSTRATION

A whole lot of work to set up and this was not explained well enough to my boss OR myself. Stopped the service during the FREE TRIAL and we are STILL being billed....even after several emails. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATING.

Avantages

Some of the staff were super friendly and some just wanted to "throw me under the bus" with my boss.

Not explained well enough. PURE sales pitch! and I fell for it.

Let's cover the real facts here. New PMC where neighbors were owner/manager of two local properties. Shortly after they signed, they stated they did not want to leverage the direct channel connections, which is one of eviivo's strongest differentiators, so we immediately let them out of their subscription. A miscommunication occurred between sales, finance and activations and an invoice went through. The ensuing 1 star review is what came of that. I personally contacted the manager and apologized that they ever saw an invoice, corrected it and asked for in exchange this review would be taken down. It was agreed. For two months...eviivo has followed up after refunding the erroneous charge and through multiple requests, the manager has chosen to ignore her commitment. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers as can be seen by the vast majority of reviews on this site and others being of 4 or 5 stars. We also honor our commitments.

Been with Rezovation from the Beginning when they were the only Boutique reservations system...

If we could find a modern resovation system, that could take the History file from rezovation (it is a CSV file) we would consider moving. The customer history in this system keeps us with it.

Avantages

Customers can book our hotel online and through 3rd parties pretty easily. It has been pretty stable over the years. Has some flexibility in packages, has a history feature for our customers. Changes can be made pretty quickly.

Inconvénients

We have had to jury rig the system so much over the years (due to fuctionality limitiations) that it is now like the winchester mansion. Talks to nothing and requires microsoft silverlite - I have been told this will change soon. The moblie application is awful. Slow, it does not like serval changes to happen in a short period of time.
