Living in the Past

Avantages

Nothing. I really can't say anything good. I asked about embedding Google tracking code for Google Hotels and Google Ads but it's not possible. Why?

Inconvénients

I've been with them for a few years and nothing gets any better. The support is marginal at best. Only 4 images per room for my property is not enough.

Useful for the B&B Owner

No clash of bookings.

Avantages

It allows me a channel manager. I can see bookings on screen.

I would be charged for reviews whereas previous company did not charge me.

Very bad experience, the customer service is the worst part, essentially non-existent...

Avantages

The ease of use is good for a beginner, initially, the customer service is good but as soon as you pay & seek other assistance they will stop answering you.

Inconvénients

Many standard features found on other channel manager are non-existent with Xotelia...You need to upload Airbnb rates manually, reservations & price changes often don't sync, the system glitches & crashes for weeks on end sometimes & customer service is an absolute catastrophe!

This has had a bad impact on my short-term rentals, there have been periods where basic features such as updating rates & availabilities are unavailable for weeks!

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!

Great Support!

Avantages

I was a little nervous when Eviivo bought out Bed&Breakfast.com....Very happy they did! Much more powerful and user friendly. Customer support is always willing to go above and beyond.

Inconvénients

It was a little "glitchy" in the beginning but they seemed to have worked out all the bugs.

RezOvation GT provides me with great property management software and is a great sales tool.

RezOvation GT provides me with great property management software and is a great sales tool. I know that the staff is always working on my behalf to improve the product and to help me be a better innkeeper.

Avantages

The seamless integration between on-line inventory with the booking engine and inventory on BedandBreakfast.com makes my life as an innkeeper so much easier. Being able to quickly and easily change rates, minimum stays,and availability allows me sell more rooms. Also, because everything is in real-time, I never have any double bookings. Sometimes as an innkeeper, I get fixated on an operational issue and sales takes a back seat. But one of my favorite sayings is "there is no problem that more revenue can't fix" and Rezovation GT with BedandBreakfast.com and all the support that is provided, has really helped increase our revenue! The commitment of the RezOvation staff to the success of my business is evident with every contact. The return on the investment can be measured by increased revenue and by my peace of mind!

Inconvénients

Because we are a full service Inn, I need in-depth reporting that had been part of Desktop that has not been fully developed for GT yet. Many users are not looking for the amount of detail that I prefer, nor do they have as much group business as we do so I understand that the needs of the many come before the needs of the few.

Eviivo

Experience with Eviivo has been very good - they have been very quick to help me with any questions I have had.

Eviivo is very easy to use and it is easy to access the information.

Inconvénients

There is nothing that I do not like about this software. It meets the needs of my b and b.

The Worst!

Not worth the money!

Avantages

It was already set up when we purchased the business.

Inconvénients

Everything! The system crashes continuously, recently they merged with another company and it messed up my rates as well as cost me over a dozen bookings because it was showing we were booked when we were not. I found out when people showed up for our tea and told us they were sorry they couldn't stay with us because we were booked. Imagine my horror because we were not! And to make it worse, no one ever returns any calls. I continuously leave messages with no response. Now, I cannot run credit cards due to something between them and the merchants. Extremely frustrating and way too much down time with this program! Searching for a new software.

Decent hotel software

Overall has all the general features and is decent software.

Avantages

Pretty simple to understand once it's explained to you. Like that it is intergrated with bedandbreakfast.com as well as the majority of the third party booking sites and changing room rates reflect across all those third party sites.

Inconvénients

The mobile app is a little difficult and not the same interface on android vs an iphone. Unable to view what rooms are available all at once on a map like youd see on the desktop version.

Setting Up Campground

I’m hoping because we only have our campground open less than 6 months out of the year. We will get a price break on the additional slots we needed to use for campground. We also have 28 slots we use year round for our lodge.

Avantages

First of all we truly loved working with Dyana from Eviivo! She took the extra time to walk us through the set up process, answer all my questions, and was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of set up. She is a saint, because I’m not very tech savvy!

So far so good with the software. We just began using it and we may need a few tweaks but I’m happy!

Inconvénients

Have not used long enough to say. However I will let you know as I use it more and I get feedback from our guests as they make their own reservations

A Fantastic tool to manage a guesthouse business

The Xotelia software is extremely reliable. It save a lot of time by condensing all calendars in a same and unique system.

Avantages

Its easy to make a booking, easy to find a reservation among all others. Great to be able to send a confirmation with all the necessary details for the guests

Inconvénients

The Office of tourism software called "suite logiciel Ingenie" do not match your criteria, therefore It's impossible to share their calendars

Very helpful systems

I began looking for a channel manager about 2 years ago. I was advertising my 2 holiday rental apartments on 2 websites and was looking for more exposure. I had already experienced the dreaded "double booking" an unpleasant and sometimes rather expensive situation, which I was determined should never happen again, a more professional approach was required.

Avantages

Xotelia is a straightforward set up, with very good support. It allows me to advertise on several international sites, with no chance of the dreaded "double booking" Regular updates remind me of any upcoming and new bookings. The software is quick and easy to access. The customer support is second to none.

Inconvénients

Office hours. No bridge to my local Tourist office reservations.

Its getting better

we've been using Eviivo since it launched in the USA. Customer support was not great in the beginning phases, but the longer we used it the customer service got better and faster. Now they are able to fix most problems fairly quickly. They are friendly and courteous.

Avantages

It is fairly easy to use. It has more features than our previous system.

Inconvénients

It had a lot of bugs in the beginning, we rode out the bumps, we grew with them and like them now.

Avantages

Integration was very very rough as we were with the big integration from Rezovation. Customer support initially was extremely poor as they underestimated the tasks. However, once all the kinks were ironed out support have been very capable and responsive.

Inconvénients

See above. Also still has some issues re data from Expedia collect bookings are never correct. I need to manually correct.

Having the cleaning buffer feature and enhanced guest communications options has been helpful.

Booking Software

Good

Avantages

Inexpensive. Works well commission free with other OTAs. Clean and simple for a small operation and single user.

Inconvénients

If staff changes over there is Somewhat of a long learning curve. Not easy to make changes to reservations. Selecting multiple units is not straight forward.

Ease of working with Eviivo

Avantages

The software was easy to learn and work with. I had no issues with any downtime and could always count on the system to be up and running which is so important when running a business. We transitioned from a similar booking manager, I very much appreciated the support during that process and ease of changeover.

Great Team, great solution, very thankful working with them

Working with xotelia is just great. They keep on supporting us from the very beginning and we always receive good solutions for our needs. They keep focus on their customers and their needs, what is very important for us. A very stabile system and processes go very well.

Eviivo makes my life easier... very intuitive software.. eviivo is a joy to work with

Diary is quick easy way to manage multiple OTAs
Startup help with training and website development was great
Online help chat very helpful and quick
Reports to see how business is doing are very useful
Promos very easy to setup and pushed out instantly

Inconvénients

The monthly invoice from eviivo is a little difficult to read and reconcile
Having to login every few minutes... would like option to stay logged in or for a longer period of timeu

A good start

Good software after you learn it.

Avantages

Once you get over the hurdle of a high learning curve, this product has higher functionality and features than many of the other hosting softwares. They offer physical devices for onsite bookings and they software and carry over contacts and reservations from previous booking softwares. Great product.

Inconvénients

I used to run the third party booking softwares of a small hotel in Santa Barbara, we picked up rezovation as an alternative from our native software. From the get go, this product is limited in information distribution and functionality. You can’t force push updates to your listings, and it’s hard to create promo codes and “weekend deals”. You need extensive learning time since the learning curve is high.

You're on your own

We have done everything on our end to make this work, but Eviivo is understaffed and not fulfilling their end of our agreement. At some point in January, after completing the arduous setup process, without our approval or even informing us, Eviivo disconnected our OTA and all of our calendars were subject to double booking. We only found out when a guest called and told us. We have spent a week of unreturned phone calls, unanswered online queries, and a chat line that is rarely, if ever, staffed, unsearchable on our OTAs and searching for another booking engine. We had to deactivate our listings to keep from double booking. We are losing business, wasting time, and extremely frustrated.

Avantages

I wanted to love Eviivo: the promise of merging all calendars, one click OTA connection, ease of integration, etc. all looked too good to be true.

Inconvénients

Absolute lack of customer service; Eviivo changes to the system that prevent us from being able to book guests or use the OTA features; unresponsive phone, chat and online query systems are a farce.

Generally good and easy to work with, generally happy

Avantages

Good overview (dairy), easy to make bookings, easy access to guest registrations, last software releases really improved

Inconvénients

Some things are are hard to find (like changing minimum/maximum stays), searching quite a while for things you don't need every day, some overviews are confusing (like since Airbnb is involved, I have a base rate and and Airbnb rate); the App definitely needs improvement, not using it anymore

Eviivo Works Well For Our Adirondack Cottage Rentals

Solves our needs for a robust booking system. Easy to update once you get familiar with the functions.

Avantages

Easy to use. Staff helped set up and are responsive to concerns. Affordable. User friendly

Inconvénients

Took awhile to get up and running when many previous Webervations customers had to migrate at the same time. Works fine now that we've had time to adjust to the changes.

Hawfull experience

On the first 2 days I started to work with Eviivo I received 20 overbooking because they couldn't upload my old reservations and at the same time they opened an account at Expedia. I ended the contract with them 2 days later and I still was charged for the first month. 6 months later I received Expedia relocations invoices because of Eviivo over bookings. I tried to talk to them but no one answers me. Not even the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], I already sent several emails to my customer representative and to the[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] I tried to call them and no answer. I'm in risk of having my Expedia.com account suspended because of Eviivo. When there is a problem Eviivo simply doesn't answer you.

The worst experience I had with a channel manager. My advice is work with Eviivo if you want to loose money.

No Pros. With the experience I had it is impossible to say something positive about Eviivo.

PERFECT ! I used Xotelia since 2 years ago , and never I have a problem .

I used different software before Xotelia and never it's so easy, and never I met a problem on my planning and reservation. For me it's the best and perfect

Worst service ever!

Three months that my rates and Content Updates XOTELIA are wrong on different sales site like Tripadvisor, holidays letting. These errors now carry me harm because of cancellations of reservations. My villa usually 300US$, XOTELIA value and edit it 98US$ per week :(
Obviously it brings load of inquiries for nothing! Thank you Xotelia!!
XOTELIA only responds to my emails after 3 weeks and not even a phone call, despite my emails, my cats, my calls! ...
Yet I have a GOLD contract but apparently as one takes care of its customers in XOTELIA. (Yes you can check, Michael Arnoux, Baan Thamarchat)
XOTELIA your contract made me lose money! Instead of gain time and money as you advertise!
KATIA KLUZNI thank you for the worst customer care I have ever received on average three weeks to reply to my emails without providing any solution to it. You're amazing!

For resesvation maangement definitely eviivo

Avantages

eviivo is my favourite booking management platform due to its advance and easy-to-use features.

Inconvénients

I am quite happy in my experience with eviivo, haven't lived any negativity so far.

The Smithfield Inn's review

Small hotel functionality

IT was hard at first to switch to a new system but better now.

Avantages

I like that it is cloud based. I have gotten used to the interface pretty fast.

Inconvénients

Some tabs or fields are not clear as to their purpose or too much info perhaps.

Excellent program and people.

I have been so satisfied. My expectations have been exceeded.

Avantages

Everyone is so helpful and thorough. You can contact them in so many ways. They never act upset or like you should already know something.

Inconvénients

Having to have an outside company process payment. I wish they could with the same customer service they give to their subscribers.

Plus and Minus

The software has it's plus and minus but overall it does the job I need it to do.

Avantages

The layout of the software is good to understand and makes finding the bookings easy. The Eviivo university is a very good idea and I use this quite often. The help chat is excellent and is very good to get a response to a question without having to use a telephone.

Inconvénients

It would be nice to be able to change the colour scheme of the pages to make it easier to look at. The cost is higher than competitors, as I was taken over a bed and breakfast already in use I had to use this software.

L'Avenir, a b&b in Normandy

It makes sharing booking on line with other partners possible and easy, without doublebooking or answering the phone during the whole day. Productivity and serenity for a very affordable price.
The invoicing feature of Xotelia doesn't fit yet our use.

Avantages

The control and possibility it gives us to close reservations on the websites of our booking partners, while we still are able to sell the rooms on our own website.

Inconvénients

The invoicing feature doesn't fit our use yet.

Does everything I need in a booking system.

Able to see all booking from all channels. Ease of payment.

Avantages

I like being able to make promo codes for marketing purposes, I like being able to use my MOTO System for taking payments.

Inconvénients

Adding rates takes a bit of time to get your head around and set up. I don't like the booking showing up as an alert after you have received and taken payment from another card ok.

Grand Imperial Review

It is very efficient to book a room for a guest. It is quick and easy.

Avantages

The reporting of the software is very helpful and easy to access. Any kind of report we need is there.

Inconvénients

When we have a big room block, it does not easily load a receipt for the guest. Also when adjusting a large room block, there is not a way to do it all together.

Value and service

Using eviivo means i can systemise and concentrate on growing my business not get caught up in the nitty gritty.

Avantages

The software adapts to almost every need and they are continually improving and updating based on feedback.
What i like most is the outstanding customer service and the chat help where nothing is too much trouble. The automated emails are ace too!
For the money i do not think you can get better property management software.

Inconvénients

Does not currently integrate with pricelabs.

The worst customer service

I never experience a bad customer service like with xotelia.
They never give you a solution, they never answer your emails or phone call, and they don't even care about it.
They promise us 24/7 customer service and is a complete lie.
I am looking for a better channel manager to change it.
I am happy that I suffer 1 year and now I could cancel the contract!

Built on a software they KNEW was a lame duck: Silverlight

Avantages

Attractive interface, and ease of use to the booking customer.

Inconvénients

Lack of support, no weekend hours. If there is a problem with the software, talk to the hand.

There have been many suggestions by users that would improve this product. If you have a great suggestion, they tell you to put it on their "forum" to see how many other folks agree. If many do, then they'll consider it for implementation. Many MANY users have had great ideas, with many others in agreement, but is the improvement incorporated? Unfortunately, usually not, because Silverlight is incapable or their tech guys are too busy working on some other new development.

HEY! Make this one work first before busying yourselves with more developments.

Maybe we were unlucky but that was disastrous

Avantages

Very promising Channel Manager with a lot of good tools and options.
Great functions and options for connecting with all OTAs and manage rates.
We heard a lot of good things about Xotelia and that's why we went for it but looking here on the last reviews we feel that we might have had to check a little more before going for it.

Inconvénients

As beginners at that time and with few knowledge on how to set up everything it was very difficult to deal with the interface and worst of all nonexistent customer service that basically stopped us from trying to set up everything.
The contract has been immediately terminated and we didn't even received the promised free first month.
Disastrous experience for us but as I previously said, it might be only us who have experienced this kind of experience.
