It ist an application, that makes your workflow much easier. It saves time and money

Especially the online availability is extremely attractive. This facilitates much. It is always up-to-date and can be viewed from anywhere and possibly changed. The staff are always well informed about material and personnel. The program does what it is supposed to do well, quickly and clearly. There are hardly any wishes about it without which it is too crowded. Around a successful software which is always developing.

Avantages

The clarity and clear procedures. Also the quick overview and online availability. The planning of material personnel and vehicle fleet becomes child's play. The organization of the material is simple and clear, as is the overall appearance of the software. Everything runs very reliably. Also the hiring of material is easy to do. The workshop module is clear and practical. This program is packed with knowledge and passion. The support is very fast and effective.

Inconvénients

Little things in the mobile app. For example, you can not simply create a project quickly, with name and date and info. You can work out later in the office. That would be very helpful if you get orders on the way. Otherwise completely satisfied.

Rentman Review

We have been able to integrate all projects automatically into one calendar for all our crew to view, so that there isn't a constant string of calls and texts confirming times for the following day.
They are able to look ahead and plan their weeks, as well as repair any equipment with urgency that is going out again soon.
We have also had only brilliant experiences with the Rentman support team, with quick responses to questions, and ideas for future updates being passed onto developers, with actual reasons for use.

Avantages

Rentman is an ideal choice for Crew, Project and Equipment management software. We implemented it over the space of approximately two months, and all staff were able to easily jump on board an start using it daily. We are able to track all our projects and clients, where our equipment is, as well as logging our crew's timesheets. We implemented this coming from no other software, simply all manual, which resulted in the reliance of 3rd party calendar apps, that didn't sync easily.
Now that we have started using Rentman, we couldn't imagine doing business without it.

Inconvénients

There really aren't many negatives about Rentman. The only negative I have is the UI on mobile devices, but that's fairly prevalent in most management softwares, as there is a lot of data needing to be displayed on the screen at one time.

Best Rental Software I have tried

We used to use Google Calendar to schedule our equipment and send invites to our employees. Used Quickbooks online to invoice and send estimates. This all can be done with Rentman.

Avantages

Love that Rentman has Crew and equipment Scheduling built in the same app. Like that they have tech support that is built right into the application. When I first started using Rentman, I needed a lot of help. They were there for me. They are also updating Rentman constantly with new features and they are listening to their customers.

Inconvénients

I wish the crew scheduling feature had the ability to send my employees an alert when a project gets canceled. I have asked on their suggestion page where you can leave suggestions and "want list".

Rentman helps us to digitize our business processes.

Overall, I definitely recommend the software to small and medium sized businesses who would like to rent and sell event equipment! Rentman.io is very helpful to digitize our business and lean processes.

Avantages

The customer support is exceptional! The different modules are very intuitive to learn. The standardized data base fields can be complemented with additional customized fields. The statistic section helps us to track our projects and improve reporting to the management.

Inconvénients

In the material data base you currently have to decide, if an exhibit is for rental or for sale. If you want to rent and sell a product you need to create two items.

All the materials have to be stored in the same warehouse.

Rentall software that grows with Your needs

We have been using rentman now in two companies, pretty much for a Year. We are coming in with third company during the first quarter of 2017. Usage and bases of these business are different in each company, and still, this software can serve them all.
We started with one company basically first only controlling projects existing and equipment we have in our own warehouse. Now we have pretty much all the functions of the software in use. and it is making our work a lot of fasters.
Due to its simplest CSV data transfer possibilities, it is very easy to integrate it with other software and also bring information from one software to another.
Also when we are busy we can add more users for a month, if we need top purchase production services from outside.
All in all, we are happy with the product. There is always something that could be better, but the support and development are answering quickly and reacting to our inquiries and ideas off software improvement.

Avantages

- CSV export and import
- Clear and logical way to handle a project
- It is easy expandability by your short time extra needs
- No need to have some internal server systems for this in the company

Inconvénients

This software is made for project and equipment controlling, time to time I would like to have some more options to control this through economical information. But as I have been told this will get some new possibilities in the next versions, that will help us out in most cases.

Top Programma

Bij Rentman word je altijd snel en met een goede feedback geholpen door de mensen aan de andere kant van de lijn doormate van teamviewer. Ook als het niet gelijk lukt, krijg je later nog een mailtje na met de uitleg. Wanneer iets niet in orde is, word dit altijd doorgezet om te kijken of ze dit in de toekomst kunnen toevoegen aan het programma.

Avantages

Goed inzicht van de verhuurde producten, waardoor het overzichtelijk is wanneer je iets wilt doorverhuren

Inconvénients

Grootste nadeel aan dit programma is, dat het niet offline te gebruiken is. Wanneer de server eruit ligt bij Rentman, is heel het programma uit de lucht. Ons bedrijf draait groot en deels op Rentman, dus als je dan de planning en voorraad niet meer kunt bekijken is dit best kritiek op drukke dagen

We are a rental company that has a dry hire devision and a production devision. Both worlds come together in one Rentman world

Easy to use cloud software that links with all freelancers.

After Serching for GREAT Rental managment software that was affordiable we finally found it.

The key to any software package is to put the time and effort in to setting it up and maintaining it. We have been doing this in stages as it is very time consuming. Rentman has been great as it allows us to do this very effectively. The app is a great way to manage staff of all kinds, casuals, freelance and even labor hire. As a package I would be very confident that nothing else offers the feature set, the support and the affordable price that Rentman does. It is easy to use for everyone. It is one of only a few modern designed rental software packes that you don't need a degree in to use.

Avantages

The customer service and support team are amazing! We were honestly a bit skeptical going in with the software being based in a different country but I can honestly say I have never had this level of support for software before. All the guys are great!

Inconvénients

The Only thing we find a little annoying is it can be a little slow to find items in the data base when scanning QR codes via the app. They are always upgrading and making things better so I'm certain this wont be an issue for the long term.

Super Produkt für die Vermietung

Avantages

Das Produkt ist gut zu bedienen, ich kann jederzeit die Werte anpassen. Für unser Anforderungen ist es das Perfekte Programm. Wenn ich eine Frage habe kann ich mich jederzeit an den Support wenden, und das Problem wir dann auch bearbeitet und gelöst.

Inconvénients

Wir haben vorher mit Exeltabellen gearbeitet und es war nicht sehr schwierig das Produkt in unsere Geschäftsprozesse zu intrigieren. Klar braucht man am Anfang eine Zeit bis man mit dem Produkt vertraut ist und alles eingerichtet hat, aber man kann ja auch an einer Schulungen teilnehmen.

-crew planner module has planned 60+ full time and freelance technical staff without a hitch
-communication flow right through the project for all involved to view
-full time staff have project information to hand on their smartphone through the app
-equipment failures are scanned on-site direct into the repairs module by the technicians
-software is constantly evolving along with industry feedback

Inconvénients

-mobile scanning not yet available, this will be helpful rolling over scanned equipment on-site, from one project to another

Tolles Programm mit der Möglichkeit von überall aus zu arbeiten

Einfache und logische Handhabung für die ersten Schritte zum Kommissionieren und Disponieren.

Inconvénients

Ich habe immer wieder kleine Probleme bei den Formularen, der Vergabe der Rechnungsnummern (werden bei mir nicht mehr automatisch vergeben), Mahnungen erstellen unter Berücksichtigung von Teilzahlungen, das Rechnungsjournal addierte bei älteren Versionen die monatlichen Umsätze (das hätte ich gerne wieder)

Very simple to set up an creates a fast and efficient work flow

Much faster workflow, less mistakes calculating offers and better control over warehouse managment. The overall flow of information within the company has improved using rentman.

Avantages

The fact the software is online and used in a browser is its strongest point. It means access from any computer with internet is possible, even with a slow internet connection. The output quality is also excellent.

Inconvénients

The transfer from rentman 3G to 4G has been quite a long process and is still not fully completed, which as a rentman user is annoying, as you can see the new workspace but it is inpractical to use as certain functions have not yet been tansferred.

Easy to setup with great support.

Avantages

The integration of invoicing and inventory management is the best of the software we have used, and the customization of document templates allows us to provide our clients with professional documents with exactly the right amount of information.

Inconvénients

There are some features that need work on kit and case building but with that said the rentman team are continually listening to the end user and implementing requests.

Best product available on the market

We use Rentman for nearly 2 years and until now we did not have any bigger problems with the software. The support is very fast and professional.

Avantages

For a long time we searched for a rental management software for mac computers. We did not find any satisfying application until we heard from Rentman. Rentman is very easy to use, comes with lot of professional features and saves lot of time and money so you can focus on your business. A great feature we do not want to miss anymore is the Rentman app for mobile devices. All our employees and sub workers installed the app on their smartphone and so they have all necessary information about their jobs and the events available with just one click. We can manage all our jobs including equipment stock, customer details and employee details within one software. this was the reason we chose Rentman as our software.

Makes AV Rentals Business easier

We are happy, as I am not an expert sometimes it's a bit complicate.

Avantages

Having all the gear ordered and organized, availability and being able to Invoice straight from a quotation

Inconvénients

Changing some of the presentations and designs. Setting the dates sometimes does not work perfect. The order of the Invoices when we want to update the payments or searching by our own quotation number does not work.

Event Rental Software with everything I needed!

Rentman includes features that make sense for Event Professionals.
Important features include multiple user levels, friendly mobile app, labor and transport modules and easy sub-hire (cross rental) feature.
I have used several US based software systems. I have found Rentman has a better combination of features for my application.
Software as a service minimizes initial startup cost. The price structure makes sense and is is easy to add users.
Rentman has better customer support and includes an integrated Teamviewer for live support.

Avantages

The Rentman web interface is fast even on a slow internet connection.
I can customize the access level of each user, which is great for part-time and freelance employees.
I can customize forms myself.
Inventory supports kits, resale items and sub-hire.
Customer database allows for multiple contacts under one organization.
Rentman combines the best features of a CMA, Inventory Control system, and Project Management suite in one place.

Very happy with Rentman

Rentman helps us manage inventory, customers, logistics, finances. It does almost everything

Avantages

I like the features and how intelligent Rentman software is. Support is outstanding, and the service is very reliable (haven't had one problem since joining). Telephone support is available as well as a torrent of on-line how-to's. They even have a youtube channel with training sessions. Company is very well managed, and we love the software.

Inconvénients

There is a learning curve to every piece of software. Rentman is no exception. The software has a lot of advanced features and it takes time to learn how to use those features.

The ease of use and the extensive possibilities of the platform

Inconvénients

We really miss an automatic Rentman import function for our website. It would be great to have a feature to create a schedule (e.g. every day at 1600 hours) to update the website stock with the Rentman stock.

I missed a lot with the mobile app and some functions for the employees. If they have some declaration i have to do with the other software or if they want some day off or vacation you can’t do with the app

Easy to use, great rental control software

The software helped the company grow and become more professional

Avantages

Very easy to use and quick to learn. Great that technicians and freelancers can log in to view their schedules and view info for the job. Saves a lot of time explaining planning and managing gear, techs and transportation. Whenever there are issues or questions, customer support is very quick to respond.

Inconvénients

Editing the templates can be difficult. The software is great to manage your rental but for the sales part of the business there could be improvements.

Onmisbaar in onze planning en offerte opmaak

Voordeel hiervan is dat zonder te hoeven mailen bij veranderingen, alles direct duidelijk is bij mijn collega's. Waardoor er minder gemaild of overlegd hoeft te worden. Teams die in de buitendienst zitten kunnen de informatie, die belangrijk is, makkelijk terugvinden in de app of op de uit te draaien werkorders.

Inconvénients

- ben niets tegen gekomen. Ik en mijn team zouden juist nog meer gebruik moeten gaan maken van de verschillende features om echt het meeste uit deze software te halen.

Good rental software

Not perfect but better than most

Great software for rental puposes!

a much better daily routine

Avantages

In the system you can form sets and cases, and add complementary items, such as cables, possible add-ons and so on. This makes it easy to create a quotation, plus a complete packing list. Other benefits of the software: QR-funcionality, easy to use webshop module, digital signatures on quotations, interaction with administration software, easy planning module, automatic backup, smartphone app... it is a complete system for the rental market!

Inconvénients

is there something I do'nt like...? Can't think of anything... well, we receive an invoice each month, but it is much lower than our previous system with much less possibilities, so no complaint about that either!

I like that the serviceteam is open for changes when we ask for it, and the automation when booking.
The serviceteam is quick to answer and help us through teamweaver.

Inconvénients

i would like to have the chance to automatic book a flightcase for a given amount of equipment, for example a case of 6 flatpars, nice to have the chance to take one or two in a bag, but six in a flight

confusing user interface

Avantages

Nice functions, online based, electronic signature at offers, easy to create invoices without project,

Inconvénients

settings are often not individual adjustable like First Day of Work in hours counter for new employes or national holidays. Its not possible to set a sabbatical for a employee in the hours counter
Creating forms is very difficult.
Finding Projects by name is very complicated

Einfach ein super Gesamtpaket

Insgesamt ist es eine super Software mit der ich flexibel auch von unterwegs arbeiten kann und auf Kundenanfragen schnell reagieren kann.

Avantages

Für meine Kaufentscheidung war hauptsächlich ausschlaggebend, das ich Projektvorlagen erstellen kann, da wir sehr häufig mit immer wiederkehrenden Setups arbeiten und ich somit sehr schnell ein Angebot erstellen kann.

Inconvénients

Manche Einschränkungen sind nicht nachvollziehbar. Es gibt Funktionen, die an manchen Stellen nicht verfügbar sind. Ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar, wenn es eine Funktion gibt, sollte sie doch auch an allen Stellen zur Verfügung stehen.
Und das Personal- und Transportmodul (Standardfunktionen) bedarf für meine Wünsche noch eine deutliche Verbesserung. Hier sind viele bekannte Funktionen gar nicht vorhanden (eigene Ordnerstruktur erstellen, Filter setzen etc.).

Expectations for future improvement are high

Our processes company wide can now be covered by the use of Rentman and AFAS.
We use several API's to connect the applications for stock, purchasing, finance, CRM and the full rental and sales proces including workshops.

Avantages

Easy to use and to educate to the team. Implementation support and daily support is fast and helps our processes moving forward adequately.
Data maintenance is very friendly and fast (Items, crew, contacts)
Easy to understand template editor. Not the most extensive but covers most of the needs

Inconvénients

Import features can be more extensive for users of other programs how consider switching application.
Multi language level needs improvement to be real multi lingual.
2FA is an important missing part for cyber insurance application.
The purchasing module is a important missing link.

I am more than satisfied although I understand the difficulties to presenting the product to all my colleagues.

Excellent Cutomer Support

Great experience, it has been an absolute pleasure working with the RentMan team and the application has significantly improved our departments efficiency, control and reduced much of the risk we were experiencing.

I use rentman about 1,5 years and it was a good investment. Easy in use and very professional.

It was easy in use, especially when the client needs more or other things.
It looks very professional for my client aswell. It gives me a good overview of price inquiries of my clients and I can use it in helping with my accounting.

Avantages

It is very easy to make changes when clients decide more or other things. This program saves me a lot of time if I compare to the one I had before.

Inconvénients

I had troubles installing it with parallel desktop but once installed it worked fine. Now I can easily switch from apple to windows.

Wir nutzen seit gut 4 Jahren Rentman täglich. Die Cloudbasierte Lösung und dahingehend der einfache Zugriff von überall aus erleichtert vieles. Zudem ist der einfache Workflow von Angebotserstellung über das Packen/Laden im lager bis hin zur Rechnungserstellung besonders hervorzuheben.

Inconvénients

Es wäre wünschenswert wenn alle Funktionen, welche in den neuen Verträgen implementiert werden auch zeitnah den "alten" zur Verfügung gestellt werden (z.b. Nachverfolgbarkeit über Änderungen in Projekten)

Avantages

Ist a ready software. With some small adjustments you can start working with the software. Second where you have internet you can work with it.

Inconvénients

The delivery adres has always to be a new client input. It is not possible to put a adres as one time. So what I mean we have catering companies as our clients. We deliver for them to their clients. Mostly one time addresses and we have to put those adres in our systeem.

Very flexible and easy system

Perfect overview of my items and the status of this items.
Easy making quotes, equipment lists and Invoices.

Avantages

The flexibility and how easy to use, don't need to be IT technician to change items or whatever.
And there is a good helpdesk service.

Inconvénients

Need to be connected with the internet, and if internet connection is slow or bad, you feel it when you work online, and in bad case the internet connection fall out, so you lose connection.

perfect package

perfect price for much software with a good usability and a really perfect personal support.

Great product for a small business or for a single user.

Inconvénients

On the new version (4G), you cannot manage data privacy per user. It means that all users have access to all data, offers, invoices, conditions even prices.
Dear colleagues, don’t you never get angry with a Freelancer, you may have surprises.

Notice that this problem is not a priority for them because we would be 15 users out of 1700 to talk about it

Excellent Choice

First of all we solved the equipment availability problem. We can now check on availability easily especially on high season . Secondly we have a Clear view on our equipment/vehicles/crew whereabouts at any given time. On top we got some really nice planning modules that no accounting software developer could ever think of for our industry needs.

The ability to easily see if certain items are available or not for a certain period of time. Takes a few clicks only to get a project up and running.

Perfect tool for your everyday AV-business

I use Rentman as warehouse stock management, quotation forming and project planning tool. It saves me a lot of time when I see warehouse stock in real-time. Overall, I cannot imagine how I survived without Rentman.

Avantages

The overall planning feature of projects.

Inconvénients

Sometimes there are minor bugs but usually they are quickly fixed before I have the time to contact customer support.

Unfortunately the little bugs you mentioned are something that you can hardly avoid when developing software. However, we are doing our best to limit them and immediately fix them in case they come up.

I will make sure to let our developers know that they are doing a great job fixing things right away whenever something goes wrong!
