Your number one tool for AV-rental and Project Management business

Rentman helps me make things more efficient by saving time on resource planning, equipment management and sales. A real "multitool" for an Event production company.

Avantages

Overall logic on the software is very fluent and easy to follow. I never read much of the tips and tricks section, but after couple of hours use I was able to figure out the key functions. I like the amount of time it saves me in quotations and planning for resources.

Especially I like the Crew Planner.. That helps a lot when booking people to gigs. Our freelancers are also happy with the Rentman App for phone.

Web based service is also a very good thing for smaller business when the need for own server base and maintenance is eliminated.

Inconvénients

I tried to think this quite a lot, actually. The only thing that really bugs me is the section of documents which takes in data from tabs (customer name, location, project number..)

For me, and probably many other, who do not understand that much about coding,(think the section is using css?) that there would be a simpler way to edit the general data of the document.
I also happen to know that what I just wrote, corrupts the very idea for the software to fetch the data on the section automatically.

Document templates are a bit annoying to get "just right", but well worth it in the long run.

One does need a specialist within the organization who is very "into" the software and wants to learn more, and train others, in order to make things run smoothly. It is not that simple, for most of the users.

Incomparable customer support!

Very good so far! Quite a long road preparing it for use in our business with crating all the databases from scratch. But during this process the learning curve has eased out and with the great customer support, all obstacles that have come up along the way have been overcome.

Avantages

For us this puts together perhaps 3-5 other softwares that we have been using separately without any synk in between them making every job to be entered manually in each software for each change or update.
Rentman totally takes this away and saves a huge amount of time!

After starting using the software, the tremendous customer support is also worth mentioning as one of the pros of the whole Rentman "experience"!

Inconvénients

Quite steep learning curve if coming from a much smaller similar solution. Some parts have extremely detailed individual settings for user customization, making it quite confusing and overwhelming at times, and some features on the other hand have way to little options for customization.

Best rental software for the price! Love the custom features.

Like it a lot so far. Need to do a lot more work to get it running to its full capacity.

Avantages

Customizable functionality for our business needs without the hassle of dealing with an employee or paying for changes. Makes life easier.

Inconvénients

Just how unfamiliar I still am with it. Need to work on it more but thus far I am very impressed with all its functionality.

The user who cant wait for company growth. More features and better functionality.

Avantages

I love the customer service. They get back to you as soon as they can. They have plenty of warning if their team is not available. They act fast in emergencies. most importantly, they listen. We have come to them with ideas of features that should be added only to see an update the next month with our recommendations/implementations.

Inconvénients

The learning curve and functionality. The learning curve was difficult although [sensitive content hidden] and the plenty of resources they had made it go by fast. You really just need to learn the terminology and then you can almost use it however you please. It is very customizable in the sense that there are multiple ways to complete a task. IE schedule, book equipment, take inventory, check gear in and out, truck pack weight/power requirements. Just once you get 3-4 layers deep like editing a document template, or creating your own QR tags. It gets a little buggy, without hesitation you use it because you know the Rentman team is there to help once a problem arises.

Avantages

having one app to catalog inventory and create invoices while being a calendar planning tool is awesome.

Inconvénients

time tracking system feels more difficult than it needs to be. As an admin not being able to punch in my end time 5 minutes before is frustrating. as well as not having the option for tagging that time to a PO#/ Job # without first creating it as an action item. seems like an unnecessary step.

Such a Stress Relief!

Overall RentMan has made bringing new crew members on so much easier. They can find items and start learning our inventory. We're better able to track what items went where and if they don't come back. RentMan also helps us so we aren't double booking inventory.

Avantages

We have multiple account reps that had different names for different inventory items. Now we have a standardized inventory with pictures and locations, so everyone is on the same page. Calculating shipping costs is so easy now. The reps can book items and see what their total weight is. I'm not wasting time on projects that may or may not confirm.

Inconvénients

There's still some features I would like. For example locking down a project so an account rep can't change something day of. Or being able to get a notification that something has changed the day of. We're spilt between 2 warehouses so the account reps can't always walk in the back and talk to the crew. Being able to see Internal Remarks when booking equipment out on the app would be helpful.

With Rentman we can manage and simplify all our business processes.

Avantages

- Excellent support
- Very good overall performance of the system
- Rentman is accessible from every computer with internet connection
- There's no need to print a packing slip, as you have it digitally on your mobile phone with the Rentman app
- You can scan QR-codes of your equipment using the app
- You can add repairs for defective equipment via the app
- Really fair pricing
- You can synchronise your agenda with CalDAV
- The dashboard gives you a good overview of what is relevant and urgent

Inconvénients

- The price structure is based on fixed packages (Lite, Pro, etc.) but I would prefer to book only certain modules that you would like to use.
- The warehouse location of your equipment is not displayed in the app.

We started off as a rental company and know how important simple but powerful features are for a good rental workflow. We have gotten some very positive feedback on our Rentman App in the past months and are planning to add even more cool features. This will also include the ability to see where in the warehouse your equipment is located!

We understand that only using certain modules of Rentman would be even better for you but we do require some sort of pricing structure to provide the best service for every rental company. However, you can already adjust your Rentman license by adding more administrators (powerusers) in busy summer months and removing them when everything has calmed down. Thanks again for your review!

La organización, planeación y la información financiera ademas de las estadísticas, en general es un software ideal para mi negocio

Inconvénients

La aplicacion de escritorio tiene lo que necesito, solo pondria un filtro para busqueda en proyectos.
La aplicacion movil esta muy limitada, las notificaciones en iOS al darle clic solo abrn la app y no te lleva a donde te esta notificando, tampoco tiene menu de busqueda para las tareas, ademas que la actualizacion de informacion hay que hacerlo de manera manual
Para mi pais (México) falta que se pueda facturar desde la plataforma

Met kleine kanttekeningen perfect.

Rentman heeft ons bedrijf echt vleugels gegeven in de organisatie en workflow. We willen niet meer zonder.

Avantages

De grootste pluspunten zijn dat Rentman in de cloud draait en dus op elke computer te openen is. Voor degene die huiverig is voor cloud diensten kan dat juist een nadeel zijn maar Rentman is zelden offline.
Dat al onze medewerkers en freelancers direct bij hun informatie kunnen via de app is geweldig.

Inconvénients

Wij werken met kickback fees bij het offreren naar klanten van klanten (en het vervolgens factureren naar klanten direct). Daar kan Rentman helaas (nog) niet mee om gaan.

A fantastic Rental and Inventory software

Rentman has made a massive improvement to the way that we do our stock management and quoting our clients. We have had a massive increase in productivity and resource allocation within our systems, that includes our crew allocations as well.

Avantages

The ease of using the software package, and the support from the team is next to none!
The team is willing to listen to the client feedback, and will implement new features accordingly, could take a while, but they do eventually get to it

Inconvénients

There are some bugs that take a while to get fixed, however, a message off to the support team will get these resolved normally in a short time.

Rentman - One Stop Shop Rental Platform that works!!

Its been great, there was a time when they prioritized changing the user interface over updating some critical needs on functionality. But that was years ago and now they have a really solid platform that seems to have all the features we need and the user interface is super solid!

Avantages

Web Based, Fast, Remembers your personal customizations, searchable, modern user interface. Regular meaningful updates, great support. All features needed to run the business in one platform. Staff don't have to learn multiple programs.

Inconvénients

I really like Rentman, I don't really have any cons at the moment.

Solid platform with a few loose ends

Overall good experience, good dev team, but out of touch with actual warehouse operations.

Well thought out, clean interface and good integration with 3rd-party tools.

Combination management is a mess. The general idea works, but the UX needs a complete overhaul.

Perfect, denken altijd mee in oplossingen

Efficiënt werken met Rentman

Wij kunnen niet meer zonder! Zodra je het programma wat beter kent zijn de mogelijkheden eindeloos.

Avantages

Een alles-in-één programma: van offertes en facturatie tot planning. Heel overzichtelijk en compleet. Het is gebruiksvriendelijk. De automatisering zorgt ervoor dat we efficiënt kunnen werken.

Inconvénients

Het is zo uitgebreid dat je soms door de bomen het bos niet meer ziet.
Na een update zijn zaken soms veranderd waardoor het opeens anders werkt dan voorheen (niet altijd een verbetering in mijn ogen).
Handmatige aanpassingen in materialen worden niet altijd goed doorgevoerd. Voorbeeld: zodra een prijs handmatig aangepast wordt, wordt op de offerte/factuur nog wel het originele btw bedrag berekend.

Very good product, almost perfect

I love RentMan. It makes my days planning projects and doing warehouse jobs so much easier. Over all it's a super good product, it just missed a few things to be the perfect software. I would still recommend it, it's probably the best rental software in the business if you rent out equipment.

Avantages

Modern browser based app
A lot of useful functions

Inconvénients

The mobile app is a bit behind the desktop app in features with no ability to change items in planned projects on the run.
It's time consuming to see what projects has booked as you need to open every project to see equipment. No function to quick view content of a project.

Nosotros lo utilizamos desde hace ya mas de un año y son todo mejoras y sobretodo están pendientes de ti.

Avantages

Planificar equipos, personal, transporte.
Además lo facil e intuitivo que es.

Inconvénients

El generar las plantillas de los documentos es un poco complicado.

Support is stunning and always good. And has feedback when it is "we don't know"

Issues and bugs that feel obvious/ simple to fix are not quickly resolved.

Harpa concert and conference center went for Rentman

It has been great and their support is excellent.

Avantages

Easy to use and great access through the web.

Inconvénients

Maybe that they are still a young and small company and don't have everything the bigger companies offer in their softwares.

The company is always looking for ways to improve the software for their users.

Avantages

Having a ton of flexibility and control of each project.

Inconvénients

The mobile app could use some more features to give our warehouse staff the ability to work independently without relying on our office staff.

Rentman will revolutionise your Event Production world!

It has been made with the Event Production Industry in mind. It speaks our language, the people who work there understand everything we are trying to do, and they go above and beyond for Rentman to be like a third limb!!

Their support is second to none. We have taken up the premium support service, and wow!!!!! They are more responsive than people sitting next to us in the office here. They get back to every email / ticket / suggestion / question as soon as they are online, and with such context and awareness of us (Their team knows us so well and we know them, because they are so personable and consistent). We are in Australia, yet that time difference does not affect their performance at all, generally because everything works and our tickets are about making a slight improvement to something that already works really well, that's saying something!?!

Avantages

It has revolutionised our systems!! We consolidated so many systems into Rentman; warehouse / inventory, quoting & invoicing, rostering & scheduling, timesheets, task management, CRM (the critical parts in Rentman, yet we moved from Salesforce to HubSpot for our marketing elements).

Inconvénients

There are a few aspects in the last 8 months that are not exactly what we'd like, but we've either shifted our expectations or Rentman have made developments to sort it out! Not being able to share a Project across multiple Account Owners has been a little bit tricky but we've refocussed our needs there. The 'contact person' does not have much information associated with them, but I'm picking holes at a pretty incredible system.

Industry Leading Equipment Management Software

One of the best rental management software platforms I have used. Always adding new features. Easy to use, great flexibility.

Avantages

Always able to access with the online portal. App for crew to prep and depress equipment and time registration.

Inconvénients

Not being able to do a quote onsite on a mobile device.

Al jaren blij met Rentman!

Wij werken al jaren met Rentman en het geeft ons rust binnen ons bedrijf. We weten met 1 druk op de knop waar wat is en wanneer het weer retour komt

Avantages

Het geeft rust in de organisatie. Als alles goed in Rentman staat kan iedereen er mee werken en is er overzicht.

Inconvénients

Weinig, soms omdat je zelf niet alles goed hebt ingegeven mis je bijvoorbeeld een telefoonnummer dat niet op een pakbon staat. Dus aan het begin alles goed invoeren blijft heel belangrijk.

We Couldn't be Happier

Their team is exceptionally responsive to any questions we have. If something isn't covered on their help site, a member of their team quickly addresses it. This level of customer service is rare these days, and it makes us feel truly supported and valued.

The program is incredibly vast and versatile, addressing every aspect of our company's needs. It's as though they've anticipated even the things we hadn't considered, making it an indispensable tool for our operations.

Rentman early adopter since 2014

Zeer positief, we zijn sinds lange tijd geruiker en hebben het programma zien groeien tot wat het nu is. Ons bedrijf kan niet zonder.

Avantages

Het gemak , van een alles in 1 product. Plannen / boeken / uitnodigen / factureren

Inconvénients

Geen echte nadelen, ik hoop dat de focus bij het kernproduct blijft, zeker nu Rentman zo hard groeit

Rentman me cambió la vida

A mi cómo director técnico y producción me ha cambiado para mucho mejor el flujo de trabajo, la comunicación con mis compañeros y la gestión de los eventos.

Avantages

Por fin he podido tener en el mismo sitio el control del almacén, personal y eventos. El planificador de personal es muy intuitivo y fácil de usar.

Inconvénients

Lo único que encuentro negativo es el sistema de precios por suscripción, es algo cara para nosotros.

Rentman is een veelzijdige planningstool. Wanneer je een goede structuur bepaald werkt het zeer efficiënt.

Inconvénients

De mogelijkheden zijn zeer uitgebreid, waardoor het soms lastig is om alle innovaties bij te houden. Daarnaast zijn de kosten wel fors gestegen

Al jaren lang tevreden gebruiker

Al sinds de start van Rentman zijn we een tevreden gebruiker wensen worden over het algemeen vlot geïmplementeerd kortom de ervaring is zeer goed.

Avantages

Flexibel en goede begeleiding, vlotte support, goede invulling van wensen praktijk gericht.

Inconvénients

pakket wordt zo langzamerhand wel complex

Head of Rental department

It changed our workflow to the better. I cannot imagine our life without rentman anymore, it is truly a great service.

Avantages

It is great for quoting and booking. We are happy to use Rentman.

Inconvénients

Reporting is not working well, it would be nice to have a better way to track equipment by the factor it was hired.

Rentman como herramienta para depósito audiovisual

Rentman nos ayudo a ordenar toda la gestión de inventario de nuestra empresa de eventos.

Avantages

El manejo de inventario y codigos QR. También el cruce de equipos para ver disponibilidades entre varios trabajos.

Inconvénients

Tiene ciertas cosas en el manejo de los cases que todavia no pudimos encontrarle la solución. Falta que la documentación de ayuda sea más completa.

Goed, gemakkelijk te begrijpen en eenmaal ingesteld onmisbaar voor mijn bedrijf

Avantages

Redelijk makkelijk werken, Facturatie is simpel.

Inconvénients

Niet alle functies goed uitgewerkt. Geen bankkoppeling. Personeel uitvraag niet overzichtelijk per klus.

Great to use, from little to big company

Great, makes my company very structured and my employees know what to do without instructions

Avantages

Its very user friendly and easy to use with te different modules

Inconvénients

The configuration in the beginning is time consuming, and you could get lost to configure some services.
