Avantages

Their customer service! I have never once had an issue the customer service department didn't patiently walk me through "the fix".

Inconvénients

None that I can think of. I have never used another program because there hasn't been an issue with Campaigner that left me looking for other options.

Avantages

Campaigner has very a very user-friendly, logical user interface and is very versatile. I really appreciate the granularity of the report feature. Campaigner also is great about keeping up with bounced and dead email addresses, so this keeps our mailing list up-to-date.

Inconvénients

Many times my Campaigner emails go to the junkmail of our clients. Even when I have sent the whitelist address, there are still problems--including my own e-mail! The image sizer does not work properly and has not ever. I always have to size my images in Photoshop prior to importing them into Campaigner messages and newsletters.

Ability to send 2,500 emails to our Contact base.

Inconvénients

Using this software isn't intuitive. I have extensive MS Office experience but can't easily navigate this software. It is more like the WordPress software which is similarly frustrating.

Ease of process from start to finish. If you use a template and drag-and-drop, it's easy to set an email up and test it, add contacts, and send.

Inconvénients

Could use some more customization, sometimes I feel limited by the features. I also wish it was easier to take a previous email and duplicate it to make the next one, instead of making a template at the beginning of the design process.

The features to add design was useful. From simple lines, centering, different fonts etc.

Inconvénients

Changes recently to interface have become cumbersome and difficult. The active screen where I create is narrow. On the same window, I see identification of my campaign, saving features, other menus. These items are static, but take up more than half of the screen. Meanwhile my onscreen work area has become smaller. I went to choose images to add to my campaign and the menu screen that appears looks like a doorslot for a boozecan (illegal tavern)

for my small business-publication company, Campaigner was very helpful in setting up a mechanism to stay in regular contact with my readership. the product was fairly easy to use; the support people were very helpful.

Inconvénients

never got into the analytics and trend reporting as much as I wanted to. This might have been a failure on my part as much as some shortcoming in how Campaigner analytics are used.

I like that it's allowed my team to send out tailored emails to our audiences, it serves it's purpose well

Inconvénients

The software is glitchy and not that intuitive to use. I often have to call the customer service reps to fix something or check I've set up something correctly. The test emails take on average 30mins to come through so when you have a deadline this becomes troublesome. I believe if the software was more user friendly it would speed up the process of using it which would increase satisfaction. Also, sometimes when the test email comes through it looks different to what you've created in the software and there's really no way of knowing how to fix it, with out multiple tests or calling in.

Avantages

We have other clients who use the more well-known competitors, but we prefer using Campaigner for the clients who chose this option. It's a more serious and straight-forward email marketing tool. It gets the job done easily and efficiently.

Inconvénients

No real cons. We have been using this for a few clients for a long time, through company and name changes on Campaigner's side - and it has only gotten better over time.

The depth of Campaigner is very nice. They have a lot of tools and functionality that allow for strategic and detailed email marketing campaigns. Their customer support is responsive and ready to answer any questions one might have.

Inconvénients

The dashboard, itself, looks a bit dated. I know that's only for backend users eyes, but there could be some updates to intuitive features, like drag and drop email builds.

I have used several systems during the past several years, and my favorite is Campaigner - it is very intuitive, user friendly and incredibly flexible as templates go.

Inconvénients

Like many systems, the constraints of templates and other considerations sometimes make it desirable or necessary to use the actual code to best format newsletters. I found that to be the case with Campaigner - but, no more so than most other systems - and Campaigner is very accommodating to downloading code, updating offline, and reloading updated code for the final newsletter.

Compared to my last company, this product is easy to use and I am reaching more people and it is working well for my business.

This is not simply a SMTP Relay. It seems their model is built around them managing and sending out email lists. Therefore, they maintain a contacts database that is used to filter out and they do not send those emails they have marked as not active. Then, when you send addresses that are not active, it goes into the bit bucket and there is no reporting that those addresses have been ignored.

great tech support! I probably would have gone to another service but your text support is so good - I love the fact that I can talk to a real person, I don't have to wait on hold forever and they are always kind, even when I am not such a tech savvy person, they are still patient and helpful.

the interface is a bit PC, in that I mean it's not very intuitive, it's not visually pleasing, which I think if you want to show people how to send out well-designed pleasing emails to their customer it should be more graphically interesting. I completely create my own emails and I do not use any of your templates because they are not designed well.

Not much to like. Any other ESP is better off for the money. I guess its a little more inexpensive than its competitors, but you get what you pay for.

Inconvénients

Extremely poor customer service. Constant changes that result in service outages. Terrible deliverability. Weak design platform.
We began to have performance issues, alerted them to the problem, and were told after much discussion that basically they will not help.
We moved to a new provider and our metrics increased by nearly 400%.

I felt it was safe to store addresses here. Wasn't bad to use and I'm not real good with computers.

Some people had problems with e-mails going to their trash. I couldn't delete old templates even though it said I could.

Where do I even begin with Campaigner. I couldn't believe how much my company was paying to use Campaigner when I found out. There's absolutely no drag and drop functionality, even though they've been mentioning beta testing for years now. Their supposedly responsive templates are NOT responsive at all, image hosting is limited and finding saved images is extremely hard to do. No matter what, any HTML templates created elsewhere seems to break within Campaigner.

Ease of administration, uploading pictures. The technical support staff is AWESOME! They help solve issues (usually user made) in short amount of time and they're accessible through chat or over the phone promptly.

Our membership rosters constantly change and it would be advantageous to be able to completely delete a mailing list and upload a new one. Currently, we are sorting through 5,000 names monthly to upload and delete.

I guess I like the flexibility of the drag and drop email construction... when it works.

Inconvénients

There are SOOOO many glitches in the software. Sometimes images appear, sometimes they don't. Sometimes previews are sent, sometimes they are not. The constant duplication of effort is frustrating.

- I like that it's customizable with HTML. Customizing our own emails in this way is extremely important in our business.
- Being able to see the metrics of who has clicked and how many times helps us to prioritize our follow up. This is huge.

Inconvénients

- Navigating the user interface can be cumbersome at times especially in reviewing the metrics for clicks, and opens. It seems to kick you back to the beginning and forces you to click through multiple menus to return to different options.
- More insights into what was clicked and by who would be more useful. Or a profile of each contact and their activity within our emails would be nice. Being able to see that John Doe has opened the past 5 email blasts on office properties and clicked the brochure link on 3 of those would be ideal.

Campaigner is easy to use and relatively inexpensive compared to other database marketing tools out there.

Inconvénients

Seems slightly outdated. Constant Contact's dashboard seems more updated and easier to use but it's more expensive.

The email templates are good and can be edited very easily.

Inconvénients

There are some admin screens where you feel like there's a lack of development in some areas. For example, the login page needs you to connect from the same IP address. If not, you need to call, chat or email support for your new IP to be whitelisted. There are plenty of options they could use like 2FA for keeping the login secure without the need of calling support every time you want to login.

I use primarily for email blasts to customers. It works for me - easy to copy previous emails and make adjustments. Easy to update contact lists.

Inconvénients

I frequently run into challenges with adding content. The spacing and fonts get messed up. The support team tells me it has something to do with Chrome and how chrome views the emails. I woudl think you would build it to integrate better with the largest browser.

I would like the ability to see what percentage of each of my lists opens each campaign so I can modify accordingly. Would like the sign up sheet to alphabetize areas so clients can easily pick which list they would like to be a part of.

The user interface is intuitive and the new drag-and-drop editor has made development of email campaigns much faster and easier.

We have experienced a few odd behaviors while using the software, but we have found ways to work around them.

Easy to use, functional. I was able to set up well with lots of help from customer service. Now I am familiar with it and I use it every 1-2 months. I don't believe in pounding people with emails every week. It's great to have the stats from the emails to see how the subject lines are working. I had some problems in the past with some of my lists but that was sorted out with help from sales and customer service.

Inconvénients

It's quite expensive for my small business. Probably need to prune down my databases. I have no idea how to do that and I am not sure if the contacts duplicate between different lists. I really don't have a lot of complaints about campaigner. I find the service way better than constant contact which was awful.

There is a great feature which I have not found on other platforms whereby you can upload lists separately and still send them as a part of the same campaign. Re-sending campaigns is also very simple. User-friendly for first time users.

Inconvénients

There should be a legend for mail merge fields that shows if they are valid/ working and what they are mapped to. One of my campaigns did not send one time because I had incorrectly labelled the mail merge field and I could not figure it out.

Does the job for the price point and flexibility. We have explored using other competitors but have never pulled the trigger based on what Campaigner has to offer.

Inconvénients

The overall designing of the email was a bit over my head at times. Also, adding in first names fields was not designed well in the software. If I recall, you could drag that field into the body, however, the correct way to do this was not with a drag. Or perhaps that was opposite, it's been awhile since I used it. Either way, I did it wrong, even though in the email it had the field in place, it actually showed up as, Hi (insert first name) instead of actually inserting their first name. This went out to a large email before our biggest trade show and had so many people forward this back to us. Embarrassing. Now I have to double test but the system should not have allowed you to add this field without it pulling the data behind it.

The software is quite easy to use, especially for those not so technically inclined. Simple, effective, and user friendly.

Would like the software to accept files in pdf format. As of right now I have to use a pdf to jpeg conversion program to be able to upload our files.
