Flexible and Time Saving

Real time data and being able to customize easily in excel.
Inconvénients
Pulling in data for large files can take a while if there are a lot of formulas and if you have the automatic calculation turned on, it will refresh even if you didn't want it to.

Spreadsheet Server
It is a great reporting tool using excel that has made our reporting and analysis a breeze at month end.
Avantages
You can still use the basic excel features and combine it with bringing back values to create financials reporting. Out of the box financials from ERP's don't always have the most robust look and feel.
Inconvénients
It can be slow at times if you have many values from many ledgers coming back into your report.

Avantages
It is easy to use. All the data and numbers are pulled into the spreadsheet within less than a minute. We use it on a daily basis, and we love it.
Inconvénients
Installing Spreadsheet Server for a new user or on a new laptop can be a challenging process. At times, the data doesn't pull in properly, or there are issues with entering the correct username. However, once the installation is completed successfully, everything works smoothly. If we encounter problems that we can't resolve on our own, we submit a ticket, and the representatives are always quick to provide assistance.

Avantages
Team has been using software for over 20 years, like the ease of use, easy plugin with excel. Anyone who used excel will find Spreadsheet Server easy to use.
Inconvénients
Probably not really a SSS issue, but sometimes really big advanced spreadsheets, with many formulas take to time to load and calculate.

Spreadsheet Server reporting is a great reporting tools for end users.
Very good experience with excellent interface.

Ease of use for Excel business users and real-time updates of reports.
Inconvénients
Application Configurator licensing requires that each key must be assign to a specific user. Sometimes the changes do not register.

Spreadsheet Server Review
Overall, we like the product. If the expenditure reports could run faster, we would have a greater love for the product.
Avantages
The best thing about Spreadsheet Server is the ability to utilize excel to build our reports. We love that we have the ability to add graphs and prior year information to our reports for trends and ratios. In addition, we can add multiple tabs with more detailed 'drill down' data that provides the detail needed for analytics.
Inconvénients
The most difficult part of spreadsheet server is the amount of time it takes to run our reports. We have multiple departments in our organization and running the expenditure reports for all of these departments takes more time than it should.

Easy to use and extremely helpful product
spreadsheet server is an essential tool used by our finance department to assist with daily, quarterly and annual tasks. We have been using spreadsheet server at Acushnet Company for many years, and unfortunately we waited too long to upgrade and had some compatibility issues between version 14 and version 24.
Avantages
Easy to generate reports and build templates to customize reporting. Support staff is timely to respond back and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have worked with Dasharath many times and he has been very helpful and prompt to resolute.
Inconvénients
Can be a little slow performance wise, however the reports sometimes are very large and are calculating lots of data in the background so it is understood why.

Timely financial reports
This is helping us with the time it takes to compile reports. We are now able to compile and analyze reports in a fraction of the time we were able to do it before.
Avantages
Fast and accurate financial information from software. Easy to use to generate reports for accounting and finances.
Inconvénients
With Oracle Cloud there is no direct connection to the database and requires replication to an alternate database. This means data isn't necessarily real time in our case

Easy startup
Avantages
It was so easy to get set up and learn the rules. Spreadsheet Server minimizes the amount of time I have to spend in my ERP running multiple reports.
Inconvénients
Some of the formulas aren't perfect for my needs, but because the tool is in excel, workarounds are easy to find.

Spreadsheet Server - Make your financial reporting easy and at the push of a button
Overall SS has been a benefit and has made our FS visually more appealing. We have been able to analyze data is so many more ways on a month to month basis. Budgets are now easier to review .
Avantages
I like the ease of the product. Before Duggan I had not used Spreadsheet Server. It was easy to learn and manipulate. I have been able to improve and make our financials visually appealing.
Inconvénients
I wish the cost for some of the other features was not so much. We would like to use Spreadsheet Server for WIP but the cost is too much.
