Wasn’t sure about Boulevard at first… but I LOVE it now!!!

I have had boulevard for 3 years. At first I was unsure if I made the right choice switching from Square. However, over the past few years Boulevard has improved so much and I am so impressed by how they really listen to what we want and need and are constantly making things easier and better. It really is geared for MedSpas which is super important!

Avantages

It is very user friendly. There are a lot of different add ons like text marketing and email marketing that I love! They just introduced packages and memberships which is great!

Inconvénients

It is difficult to refund people their booking deposit if they cancel their appointment. I wish it automatically refunded it to them when they cancel.

Boulevard - its like the mafia, there's no getting out.

My experience with the software was pretty average until I tried to leave the platform. Once you communicate to them you are leaving, they try everything in their power to make switching as hard as possible. From trying to charge you for months and months of a software you are not going to use, to holding your client data hostage.

Avantages

Software is easy to use, and online booking works well.

Inconvénients

Boulevard tries to literally extort you on the way out the door. For me, after having been with the company for a year and half, way past my initial one year contract, they told me my contract had automatically renewed (with not reminders or promts from them asking if I in fact wanted to renew) and that if I wanted to take my data (appointment history, client history, forms and charts) I would have to pay out the remainder of my contract. And their emails are pretty clear, either payout the entire contract even though you no longer plan to use the software, or "work with us to stay". This is simply extorsion put nicely. Plus when you join, you sign a I one year contract, they NEVER tell you that contact will renew automatically and for the same period of time once the year is up.

Growth positive and easy to use

My overall experience has been very positive and I will continue to grow with Boulevard until I am no longer able to!

Avantages

Boulevard is great! It is very user-friendly both on the salon-facing side and the customer-facing side. The reports are easy to navigate and provide insight into the health of your company and the online booking widget keeps customers on your page instead of sending to a third party. The app is our favorite as we utilize that daily and the customer service is second to none in a software company.

Inconvénients

I don't care for their merchant experience much and I think the price point could improve.

An Excellent Partnership

I would have given BLVD a 4.5 if the scale had allowed. It has been an excellent experience and our multi-location salon group can be outside of the norm for many software providers.

Avantages

The people are extremely helpful and want to feel like a true partner. Very timely resolutions to problems. Easy to get in touch with someone who can help. Onboarding 3 years ago was a pain (it always is) but our specialist was superb and made it much less so.

Inconvénients

We are on the East Coast and they are on the West so sometimes our hours don’t line up.

BLVD is the best!

LOVE Blvd. It’s been a game changer for our business when it comes to marketing and client experience.

Avantages

Very user friendly and love the marketing options to reach out to clients!

Inconvénients

The differences between the app and desktop sight. Would love to be able to text clients from the app and see ALL appointments and client details from the app.

Boulevard has been a game changer for my medical spa practice!

Exceptional. Could not be more satisfied with a EMR/ Booking /POS system.

Avantages

Ease of use. Minimal issues with the platform. Updates often. Significant amount of resources to understand the capabilities of the system, onboard staff and build out the program with the growth of the spa.

Inconvénients

Sometimes confusing when adding more services and products. Regarding to what page to initially build these services and products on. Sometimes a bunch of clicking back and forth.

We love Boulevard

Everybody is very knowledgeable and friendly. They make me feel special and I like how fast can solve a problem. Working with boulevard has been one of the best investments I’ve done for my business.

Keep all of your clients details together and orderly.

I love BLVD. The only downside is there reports. There are so many important analytics that are important to salon team members when it comes to sales, understanding our clients, retaining clients, and retaining NEW clients. Improve this, and BLVD would be the overall greatest package available.

Avantages

The 2 way messaging, and professional look of BLVD sets it apart from other systems.

Inconvénients

Their reports need the most improvement The variety of reports do not measure up to what you would expect from BLVD. They should take a look at other systems and see these are strong points on other systems that may be the reason people hold back from becoming a BLVD User. Reports are so important for Owners and Managers who need to gather analytics in order to create benchmarks for team members.

My transformative experience.

I have been delighted from the first moment, it has been very easy for me to familiarize myself with all the functions and tools that it offers me.

It's great it allows me to manage everything from scheduling appointments to the point of sale, very efficiently and without complications.

Inconvénients

Well sometimes it has been a bit slow or not very responsive in solving my problems but there is always room for improvement.

Boulevard Software System for Aesthetics/Medical Spa

Overall, Boulevard has been responsive to questions posed by our business and worked to help us maximize the features of their software for the business services and products we offer at our clinic.

Avantages

The Boulevard software system has been seamless for integrating our client data, forms, services, and products. Additionally, the POS system available through Boulevard is managed in-house, reducing the likelihood of cross-software communication issues that we experienced with our last backend software program. Overall, the Boulevard software has been intuitive and user-friendly for both staff and clients alike. Boulevard's seamless technology brings in and retains clients, which maximizes the growth potential of our business.

Inconvénients

Boulevard at first may seem to be more expensive than other aesthetics/medical spa software; however, we have found that they offer many services within their bundled packages that other software companies include only as "add-ons" for additional fees -- making other software systems just as, or more, expensive than Boulevard.

User friendly service

Avantages

I like how fast and efficient Boulevard is. I use Boulevard every day to book appointments, process sales and so much more. Boulevard really does it all. What i like most about it is how easy it is to use and how responsive their customer service is if you have any questions that need to be resolved. Boulevard is customizable to use for your business. I find it easy to keep track of appointments, and clients find it easy as well, since boulevard can send them confirmation email and texts. Overall, I find Boulevard to be such a helpful resource to the business i work at.

Inconvénients

I dont have many critiques for Boulevard, my only critique would be for the Boulevard app interface, it does not have all the same options that the website does.

Owner Review of Boulevard

Overall I am in love with Boulevard. It simply works. Everything is clean and concise for ease of use with employees and customers. While it may not be absolutely perfect, it is certainly among the best softwares available for salon/spa management.

Avantages

Boulevard's scheduling function is simple and easy. Its POS is intuitive and is streamlined to make check out quick and easy. It presents stylists with easy to digest reports of their own performance, while also providing in depth reports to management without throwing in useless data. The reports also create little to no confusion as to what is actually being reported.

Inconvénients

Most of my issues with Boulevard are missing functions, however, I understand that the development team is always working on improving the platform. My biggest complain is that the professional app doesn't let management view all reports. The desktop site is also not mobile friendly.

Loyalty rewards aren't well developed -need to be able to offer tiers of gifts for points not dollar only; unable to use inventory for units of botox effeciently

Love BLVD!

BLVD has been great to work with. The system is easy, and the academy is very helpful when hiring new staff and having them learn the system.

Avantages

Super user friendly. Always updating to their system. The academy and help chat are excellent for learning the system as well.

Inconvénients

Could improve/add some features. Although BLVD is always working on adding updates, there is still a few key things that would be even more helpful.

Amazing Salon Software

Amazing - great customer service. So much better than other software I've used (MindBody / Zenoti)

Customer Service is Inexistent. Bait and Switch Operation. Once they got you they are GONE!

By far the worst experience I ever had in the Medical Spa Industry. No customer service at all. Not even a single phone number of someone to call if you need help. It's bait and switch operation. They take your money, hope you can figure it out on your own, and then nowhere to be found.

The staffs scheduling was very easy to operate and manage.

Inconvénients

There's no customer service unless you like talking to a bot. They don't provide any phone numbers. You will have to schedule a zoom call if you need assistance. They don't respond to emails either.

The BEST platform for spas

Easy to learn, fun to customize. After using very complicated systems this was super easy to learn.

Avantages

It is user friendly, customizable and constantly evolving to fit the needs of clients. I’ve submitted requests that have been solved and it was so easy to teach and learn.

Inconvénients

I genuinely do not have anything bad to say. Going back to Mindbody for another job was a headache.

The Best!

I couldn't be happier with the experience. Boulevard is user-friendly, allowing my clients to easily browse available time slots and book their appointment at any time within minutes. The automated reminders and notifications help clients to not miss their appointment too. The entire process is convenient and hassle-free.

Always Improving!

Overall the experience was great from set up to launch, the most critical of functions we need as a studio work in our favor

Avantages

I love the ease of customization, especially since we utilize the software for both retail AND services. Additionally the fact that the price is steady regardless of the number of users is helpful for growing businesses. My favorite thing is the customer service, we've had barely any issues since we began using Boulevard, but the couple times they didn't beat us to the punch notifying us of issues, we had answers within MINUTES of reaching out.

Inconvénients

The professional app needs a lot of work in my opinion. The lack of ability to take payments in the mobile app creates problems when we are trying to do purchases or enter appointments and aren't near a computer, and scheduling the appointments can be a chore, if there was a way to utilize the app so we have the same options to see and select the best times/all times for appointments and choose times that way would create a lot of ease for all users.

Easy Switch but missing a few details for the high price tag

Boulevard is user friendly. for the high price tag i had expected a few more features it seems like a relatively new software as they say theyre working on a lot of features alot. you cant invoice clients, or clients cant see any credit on their account or use it to pay the deposit.

Avantages

The transfer from zenoti was easy. they were very helpful everything transfered over fine except one package and our rep went through and manually switched it themselves.

Inconvénients

The deposit feature is all or nothing. Clients that already have account credit or vouchers (packages) are still required to pay deposit and its a bit annoying for them and use to figure out how to refund. it seems like alot of cc fees for money i cant keep.

Superior customer service with a fully integrated system

Overall Boulevard has been an upgrade for our salon in both the interface and customer service aspects. There are many features which allow for a smooth and seamless experience, with only a few clunkier features (mentioned above) that would make for an overall excellent experience if adjusted.

Avantages

Boulevard is a very user friendly platform which has enabled a smooth and seamless transition over from our previous booking system. Their integrated FAQ's help with nearly every question you may have, and if there isn't an answer within their pages the live help desk is always available and ready to assist you.

Inconvénients

There are a few features which are a little clunky and could use some upgrades. The most noticeable is the "add on" feature which only allows you to adjust the last appointment booked within a string of multiple appointments for one client. This forces you to cancel off all appointments within one block and re-book if clients want to upgrade an add on last minute. The other feature that could use some work is when multiple appointments are booked under one name, but two separate clients want to split the cost of the appointments. There is no feature which allows you to separate the booking into two transactions, so the only option is to remove the service and re-book it under another name. This makes for a clunkier client experience. The last feature that could use some work is from the client interface via the online booking platform. All clients have an integrated profile both internally and externally, but we have received many complaints that there is not a way for clients to go in an adjust, cancel, or check upcoming appointments externally. We are always happy to help clients on our end, but most clients would prefer to have more access to their booked appointments during our non operating hours.
