What I like least about the software is the search feature. There's no specific order to it and makes it difficult to find what you're searching.

Avantages

It proved extremely invaluable during the recent Covid-19 Pandemic. Despite being in different Geographical locations, we were able to hold meetings and share files seamlessly. Thus the ability to access and share information securely and seamlessly is one of the greatest attributes of the product

Inconvénients

As an Administrator, My inability to help users who are on my site to change or reset their passwords simply because they are overlapped with other boards, was a challenge. Since my company pays their annual license, as an Administrator, I should be able to help those user who are overlapped with other Boards as well.

Avantages

It's easy to use and you can have one sign in if members are on other boards.

Inconvénients

More flexibility in changing an evaluation if already published.

Avantages

I love this product, it has given me the possibility of eliminating physical documents, previously I had to print several copies of the material to be discussed, currently, I only have to upload the digital files and the members can view the information in real time. In addition, previously, after dispatching the printed material, I did not have the opportunity to edit any errors or include missing information, now I have the opportunity to replace documents with errors or include data that I consider necessary before the meetings.

Inconvénients

Currently, I do not have against about the product, since the ones I had have been solved in the new versions.

Avantages

Initial live training was good and reference materials are detailed and helpful. It's easy to set up users, and they are happy with the functionality. As an admin, it's fairly easy to navigate the interface for document templates called books, and the Resource Center where other documents can be stored. Customer service has been excellent.

Inconvénients

As an admin, I can't see the same interface that the users see. In some cases of troubleshooting, it would be helpful. Also, upon finishing and approving a book, I have to go back to the main screen to get back to where I can make the book visible, but that's a small inconvenience. Users would like to use the voting feature, but it's set up in a way that doesn't work for them.

The Resource Center - though I understand that improvements are coming and I am looking forward to that.

Avantages

Appreciate how easy it is to upload material in most formats. Very flexible with many options to organize your books. The Agenda Builder is a game changer.

Inconvénients

Not a lot of flexibility to customize formatting on the Agenda Builder produced agenda i.e. fonts, can only input time duration (i.e. 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm) instead of just how many hours/minutes each section will be presented.

Integration to local business was seamless and roll out to individual licencees is very easy, making life earlier for me in my role as Company Secretary.

Inconvénients

More of a customer service point but think it work better if licencees received their log-in credentials ahead of the intitial training you provide. Some of our users have Diligent knowledge from previous roles and are requesting the training as a refresher but because of delays in organising training (predominently driven by diary constraints of our senior managers) they can in practice be unable to access Diligent for an upcoming board due to them not having had their training by that point.

Avantages

The software is extremely user friendly compared with other similar platforms to which I've been exposed. It takes me at least half the time to create a book compared with the last programme.

Inconvénients

I would prefer being able to perform all functions through the url than having to switch to the OneClick option.

Production and distribution of packs is easy, efficient and timely.
I had a dream...or should i say nightmare the other day that i moved jobs and had to produce paper packs!! I woke up in a cold sweat!

Inconvénients

Nothing - its a great all round product with many additional modules which can be added as your business sees fit

Collaborative, functional, allows board members to highlight text in presentations and post it notes for questions in meetings, everyone sees the same thing in the meeting, automatically resorts the folders and order when intermediate agenda items or items are added, available on ipad . Functionality has been added to conduct surveys and deal with minutes too.

Inconvénients

Could do with an upgrade on look and feel, and some things just aren't intuitive, some defaults are the wrong way round (IMO - such as not automatically saving board members notes when a presentation is replaced - you have to elect for that), the client can appear a little slow on laptop at times but that may be due to where I am situated

The web interface is very easy to use and it doesn't take much time at all to set up a meeting.

The Resource Centre needs some more development it is a little clunky at the moment.

I loved the security, convenience of having all board materials in one place, and ease of use. I have used with board members with various degrees of IT savvy and it’s been well received.

There is the ability to make private notes in documents which get erased when materials are archived - that could be a setting but I found it a loss.

The ease in creating and editing the books. Not about the software but Diligent has excellent customer service with reps who are well versed in their knowledge of the software.

Inconvénients

The inability to move tabs you've created into another placeholder i.e. Tab 4 now needs to become Tab 1, you can't easily bump the tap up or down. I have added tabs above or below to get the results I'm looking for - it that could be done easier it would be great and perhaps a feature to make small edits on docs uploaded. Sometimes at the last minute, the board wants to make small changes. A time saver would be to have the ability to revise the doc without going back to the original one, revising and then reuploading.

This application is very user friendly with help at your fingertips. Training is available to users with very competent staff members. Their technical staff are also available to link to your desktop and assist with any issues.

With the many features available to users, this is a very comprehensive package. I have used all the features available to me and sincerely have no complaints or cons to provide.

It is easy to use, does away with paper and gives one so much more time as no need for printing reams of board packs.

This program has save many hours and paper for all of the meetings that I over see. Two years ago I went from just supporting our Admin Team to adding our Medical Staff support. If it weren't for the Diligent Program I am not sure I would have survived the change.

I started using Diligent in January of 2013 and so far I have not found anything that I dislike.

I build the packets. The interface to make board packets, questionnaires and so forth is easy to use and intuitive.

I've used this software for about 8 years, not only finding new add ons and services almost pre-empting my needs, but the information, webinars, networking etc have helped immensely. Excellent support during Covid

Not a lat to say, it's miles ahead of any other software I've used. Niggly thing is you end up with a lot of open windows as it starts new taste in a new window. But that's hardly an earth shattering issue and you just get used to it

Would be nice if books could be created in one window from loading document, to approving and publishing.

Integration and transition to Diligent Boards was seamless. The product is easy to use and one of the key advantages is the amount of time it saves, collating and distributing board papers. Papers can easily be replaced and late papers added. The Agenda builder is excellent. Being able to export the papers is a great feature.

Inconvénients

Unfortunately it is an expensive tool.

Cannot load short videos for viewing at Board Meetings. Cannot move items from board meetings to resource centre.

The needs of Boards are mostly common to all of them, and having an in-house development is useless.

Sometimes files are too large to upload. Have been able to compress, but concern is presentations continue to get larger. With multiple presentations, even after upload, all do not align on screen. Delay in advancing presentation as well, in particular off-site meetings.

What I like most is the agenda for each book being created by the software. Plus page numbering is automatic.

Inconvénients

There can be some improvements on certain Excel sheets that do not transfer over correctly to Diligent. For example, if the Excel sheet shows one page, it then converts to two pages in Diligent. Currently I convert some Excel sheets to PDF as a workaround. Also redlined Word documents do not convert exactly over to Diligent. Tracked changes sometimes change to a different color or bubbles that show formatting changes are shown on right-hand side of Word document when the original does not show this. Also, I convert Word document to PDF as a workaround. This is why I rated ease of use as 4 stars.

Diligent has many great software programs for Board to ensure that everything you need to aid your board is included in the software.

It would be absolutely wonderful if diligent could combine several of their products into one big product!

Avantages

The Diligent board portal has been a huge upgrade for our board and our administrators in launching board materials. The directors instantly adapted to moving from paper materials to electronic and it has been a time saver for our administrators who compile and deploy the board and committee materials. Diligent's 24/7 customer service is one of their biggest strengths and offerings.

Inconvénients

The price increases year over year are difficult to digest. Would love to see some additional features offered free to long-time customers

Avantages

This solution is perfect. It makes management look good and it is so easy for board members to use. We've been using Diligent Boards for 11 years now, and the directors love it. I have board members from 44 to 79, and they all find it intuitive and easy to navigate.

Archiving books - you have to do it one at a time.

Avantages

Diligent Boards keeps information organized and is easy to navigate and use. It's an essential platform to use for full Boards and for Committee work.

Inconvénients

The only item I'd suggest is being able to open multiple books at once. For instance, the full board book and a committee book. You may need to reference items from committees for full board meetings and currently you can have only one book open at a time.

Avantages

Ability to place notes on board papers for others to see and respond or even making own notes is a fantastic feature, easy to use and loved by all members.

Inconvénients

The Admin app could improve as it feels out of date. Needs to be light on system resources and refreshed to make use of Windows 10 design language.

Ability to control, archive and publish board material either in a visible way or hidden way until you are ready to share it.

This product is great to share documents among other users, it keeps the information confidential. The voting/signature pages are the best they allow all the signatures on one page instead of having one page per signature and then having to keep all the pages together. Board members can post public notes before the meeting so they see others have the same thoughts and this saves time during the actual board meeting time.

Inconvénients

The use of this software is a little difficult to learn and begin to feel comfortable using. But, their customer service team is awesome and they are only a phone call away.

There is no item that stands out that I dislike or find difficult. Sometimes can run slowly, however I find this understandable given the software. Somewhat frustrating when it times out and you just want to exit but you have to reenter password

From an administrator standpoint, it is very easy to use. It has a great search feature, so when my [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] asks for some historical data, it is easy for me to search and produce it. Our Board loves the product and we don't know what we did before using it! I highly recommend it. Also, the Diligent support team is the best to work with.

The Resource Center could be reorganized a little.

I like that our documents are stored in a secure place and are easily accessible for the users. Users seem happy with how the system is used and their accessibility. It is simple to upload documents, create pdfs etc. We can rely on our client support as and when needed.

Inconvénients

I use the software on a PC and most of our users use the software on an iPad. My only criticism would be that i do have concerns of how documents we upload on a PC may appear visually on the users iPads.

It’s is simple to use, information is easy to edit and add notes to prior to meetings.
We no longer have to deal with large heavily bound board reports which have to be stored for reference. I can now access past reports in diligent which is much easier.

I can’t think of any improvements that I could suggest to the Diligent board reporting package

The roundtable was great - nice to meet everyone, talk about tips and future features.

My only comment would be to make this meeting longer! I felt that we did not have enough time.
