Nightmare
Don’t do it! Just hung up after 46 minutes without a answer.
Inconvénients
Lack of customer service, on hold in a busy restaurant a minimum of 15 minutes many times 30-40 min. Sometimes no one ever answers TODAY. Can’t understand whoever finally answers and system is totally overpriced on credit card fees.

Makes shopping more rewarding
My overall experience with Clover is positive and it encourages me to shop more because the rewards are worth it.
Avantages
I have just started using this software and I love it!! I visited a store and the owner introduced me to this software to gain reward points after shopping to get exclusive content.
Inconvénients
I have no dislikes about this software, I think it is a wonderful method for business owners to reward their customers.

Popular for bad reasons
Avantages
Clover has a mobile app operating system and develops apps for many business needs. It has a familiar interface that many cashiers are familiar with, and it can be learned very easily.
Inconvénients
You need to switch apps for doing different tasks. At a point of sale, this may reduce overall speed for high volume processes. If your business decides to use another POS in the future, clover locks you in by forcing you to pay the rest of the plan and devices you may have signed up for in the beginning. Customer service treats you like debt collectors.

Disappointed in the makers of Clover
Avantages
I like the clean line from Clover, but don't like the service....Clover was bought by First Data and you can't change processing company !!
Inconvénients
That I was not able to change credit card processor and at the time Wells Fargo recommended to buy Clover .....it wasn't EMV ready!

Clover is great!
We're solving the problem of having a retail solution at events. It needs to be portable and user-friendly.
Avantages
We loved using the Clover system for a recent event. It was very easy to use and navigation-friendly.
Inconvénients
Not much to say about what I don't like. My experience was good, and I would use the system again for events + otherwise.

Must Have for any Small Business Owner
Overall, I recommend Clover to any small business owner!
Avantages
Clover has changed the way I do business! The mobile POS option is great and has made navigating the Pandemic and Curbside orders much easier. Another feature I and my customers love is the ability to check-in. Each time they visit they get points and can earn rewards like money off etc.
Inconvénients
There is nothing I don't like about the product. Clover has truly helped me make running my business so much smoother!

The software is ok, but the hidden fees will get you!
My experience with Clover was pretty unpleasant. When initially signing up I asked for a specific list of fees. The rep told me what to expect, but left a lot out. Sticking with Square.
Avantages
For a small business the concept here is good - an easy to use POS for little companies. It's well laid out and pretty easy to use.
Inconvénients
Mystery fees that you get charged that the representatives are not up front about when you sign up for Clover. Read every word of the agreement very carefully and get everything in writing from the sales rep or you could stand to lose a lot of money!

Very bad i ended up with a system i cant use.
Avantages
Looks nice, that all.There is noting more to say.
Inconvénients
Customer service is the worst i have ever come across, they do not understand anything and make you hold for ages. It is so expensive.

Not for retail stores
Maybe works for restaurants.
Avantages
Easy to use, looks nice sitting on counter, comes with everything you need, OK I'm making up stuff just to reach the 100 character limit here.
Inconvénients
No ability for layaway's, unable to take deposits, very glitchy, must pay for apps for additional features, refunds are very difficult as well as exchanges, must refund entire complete original sale and create a new one just to exchange 1 item.

We have to be honest and say, everything! It's interface isn't user friendly, the customer support sounds bothered when you call for help and the backend is so cumbersome.

Okay product - fees are too high
Avantages
Easy to use the app. Worked well on a regular basis. No major issues or concerns. Fees were just too high compared to other products.

The card reader would not work with a phone case on. Had to take off the case each time to swipe a card. Online sign in is not easy to use. Fees were too high compared to other products.

Good Payment Processing & Rewards Program
We ended up selecting a different service for our payment processing but enjoyed learning about this program and the features it can offer.

Very User-Friendly!
Avantages
My favorite part about our Clover POS system is that it has a lot of apps created by other users which give extra features to us. Also it's very time-efficient and has us very happy.
Inconvénients
Our main concern is the fee. I still believe it's pretty high considering other options, but I feel we get the value for it.

The system functions, but...
I love the simplicity of Clover, but it's honestly a nightmare for developers. This is my first experience developing for Clover. Developing for Android and iOS is a simple, fast process... I expected the same from Clover. NOPE.
Avantages
Easy POS software, pretty equipment, and there are a number of apps available to extend the platform.
Inconvénients
As developers Clover has the ABSOLUTE WORST APP REVIEWING PROCESS of all time. I have a VERY simple app that we developed for a customer thats been waiting for approval for MONTHS.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
I just spent 4 hours on the phone with customer service for them to tell me I could not upload my shop's inventory unless I upgraded my bundle. I wanted to then cancel my account and the customer service rep took over my call with a terrible attitude, did not listen to my concerns. I asked to speak with her manager she proceeded to tell me she was the manager, I told her she had a poor attitude and hung up the phone on me!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH CLOVER!
Avantages
Lots of applications, most you have to pay monthly for. There really isn't anything positive to say about Clover, I am very disappointed in my experience with them.
Inconvénients
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one from customer support know what they are doing. Very poor attitude from the customer service representative.

Shopping Cart Based POS
We leased the Clover because our rep told us we would be able to open tabs and not need the card to close out. This was untrue. Also, you need to purchase everything such as insights and e-commerce sync that other Pos come with.

It looks great on display.

Great software for my small business
Features and functionality! As a small business, what more could I ask for?
Avantages
I like that I can do everything from barcoding to on the spot inventory updates and more. The option to customize options for each product is also a plus!
Inconvénients
The downside is that I couldn't log in via my android. This meant that I needed to access a desktop to make adjustments. Not the most convenient thing when you are vending local markets and tradeshows.

Love that you can get points for frequently visiting your favorite shops!
Avantages
That you can electronically track your reward points for visits to the coffee shop and local resturants.
Inconvénients
It seems like it could be an easier process. There are a lot of steps, entering in the code from the receipt isn't ideal. If it could be an easier scan and apply points somehow or just apply points for checking into the store.

The program itself is easy to use, however for having a large inventory the system is SLOW and the customer support team is YOURSELF! No one answers calls or emails.... the system has some potential but needs a lot of work. Sorry I will not use again for my current store.

Does what it needs as a rewards app
Avantages
I use Clover to reap rewards from restaurants and small businesses in the area. I really like how you can present your phone to the clerk and they will automatically check you in for bonus points.
Inconvénients
I think it's very similar to other rewards apps (i.e. FiveStars). Not much of a difference in terms of its interface.

Not a thing, it came with 2 terminals is about the only thing I can good about it.
Inconvénients
It is definitely not made for bars, no customization, slow slow slow, no end of short summaries. Vendor is BBVA Compass and they do not have clue about it and they cannot even customize it.A bar needs or my bar anyways needs fast system. You cannot even get a cash drawer open button.
IF YOU OWN A BAR THIS NOT THE SYSTEM FOR YOU..( have been the bar business now over 30 yrs)
You call them for help and they NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL or EMAIL
