Find another option. You have been warned.
Absolutely terrible. They will tell you anything to get your business but then when there’s a problem, they are nowhere to be found. Do not do business with these guys if you are in the southwest, or California. Trust me. Don’t make them the same mistake I did.
Avantages
I like the ability to send credit card invoices directly to clients that are encrypted.
Inconvénients
These guys cannot be trusted. My dollar volume is close to $1 million a year and my average sale was between $2500 and $5000. I do tax consulting.
When Clover suspects anything on your account, they will hold your money. They will also take their fees out of your account without paying you. I have had $90,000 on hold for Eight days so far. Clover is unresponsive, they don’t give me a timeframe of what’s happening, or anybody to talk to. My rep is in Arizona, and California, and I would avoid her like the plague.

Frustrating Product!
Avantages
Works with the credit card processor we have had for years, which have better rates than any other company we have quoted.

Clover sucks and so does the customer service.
Terrible experience, would not recommend to any small business. They will not assist you in any way

Nothing. Clover sucks. They will not answer calls or take item back because it didn’t work for me. Only charge for something I can’t return. Tried going to bank with no help there and they were the ones that talked me into using it. Now I get bills and I don’t even use it. Very disappointed.
Inconvénients
Will not call me back, I even sent a letter to contact them. With no reply. So why should I continue to use the item at all if they are not dependable.

HORRIBLE customer service when you need to change or add anything to your account

Cardconnect support is non existent - spent 6 weeks trying to change bank accounts with no help, support or answers. Customer support is somewhere else, can't get anyone to help they just read from a script, don't listen, and have no capacity to help

Non existent customer service
Horrid experience. In this day and age we have to suffer such incompetence for a high price. Numerous calls no resolution. Agents will not escalate calls. Different department different function wash responsibility from each other between technical, leasing and cs. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible this experience was/is. Continuing battle to get hold of someone.
Square is the way to go! Set up in one day. Customer service agents able and willing to help. So much support for success of small businesses.
Clover will keep debiting your account even if deactivated then no one to fix the problem.

Highly recommend avoiding
The rep from Clover on the initial sales committed that there program could do something that was instrumental to our sales process. Simply it was the only thing that we confirmed with them that it would be able to do. After repeatedly being told yes, it could do that, we signed with them. After signing, we were informed that despite being told it could do it, it cannot. When we brought to there attention that we had been told it could and we had those conversations recorded, they basically said that's not their problem. Additionally they locked in for 4 years without providing this service and now we have to pay to get out early.

Avoid like the plague
Inconvénients
Awful customer service. Regularly increase prices, sign you into new lease periods without your knowledge. Advised to send an email to give 30 days notice, only to be told they need a signature. They want £480 in terminal lease costs despite my lease finishing in July 2023 (I signed an 18 month lease in February 2022) Worst card service provider I have used in 15 years of business. Next day terminal delivery never happens, quality of terminal is awful (continually breaks). I've just read other comments and I'm not alone. Avoid this company at all costs.

Beware of Clover
We were switched over forcibly from Payeezy to Clover with little to no heads up. We literally walked into the office one day and couldn't access Payeezy. Not that Payeezy was that great either, but I could always rely on them to get our deposits. With Clover, they seem to think the depositing part of credit card payments is optional. Every time I call their customer service I end up speaking with 3+ people because no one knows what they are doing. It doesn't matter if you have a case open, they still can't figure out the right people to help you. Not that any of them can.
Avantages
Nothing, this is the worst product I have ever worked with. We were with them for two weeks and they shorted us nearly $4,000 in deposits.
Inconvénients
The customer service continues to give us the run around and I am usually on the phone with them for no less than an hour each time. The customer service is CARELESS and do not pay attention to details. We were shorted over $500 in our FIRST BATCH we ever ran with them. Then we were shorted $3300 on the another batch a week later. Their customer service follows-up but they follow up with the wrong details and don't see why not received this deposit is impactful. After less than TWO WEEKS with their service, I found another credit card processing company and switched over.

My overall experience with Clover is very nice and pleasant because I do enjoy using Clover and I am grateful for Clover as part of my life today,

I do enjoy and I am grateful for Clover. I do because Clover is a nice way to get points and it is a reward system when you go get points, check in, and get deals/promos with restaurants and cafes. I like when you can get the ability to order and pay for your food and drinks.
Inconvénients
I wish for some restaurants to expand and be open to Clover for nice deals, promos, and rewards to give back to customers for sure since at the end of the day, support is the key for support.

Clover: Not as reliable as before the switch.
They've nearly put us out of business due to the migration from payeezy to clover. The most frustrating part was the fact that the representatives from clover acted like it's just par for the course and that we should just accept it.

Best Payment processing service for Non-Profits
My overall experience was very positive.
Avantages
I like Clover's discount for non-profit institutions like ours. We got the POS system on a 50% discount and they waived the monthly fees. We only have to pay fees per transaction.
Inconvénients
While we do not have to pay a monthly fee, we do have to pay $0.10 per debit transaction. This was higher than compared debit companies, but in the long run it will still be worth the amount we use it.

I can't find any benefit of using this company, whenever you call, you have different answers for the same question again and again.
Inconvénients
Stay away from Clover, they don`t have an explanation about their charges, they take out money from your account at any time. The sales rep told me I could cancel my services at any time, but when I requested to cancel my services they said I have to pay $500 for cancelation.

Absolutely awful. NEVER do business with this company. My clover mini arrived with a feature on it that was automatically charging my customers an additional 3% ontop of their bill. I asked for this to be removed REPEATEDLY. After 2 1/2 months of the issue not being resolved, horrendous communication and terrible customer service, I asked to return the device and a refund (I had not used the product once as I felt uncomfortable with the surcharge fee). I was flat out refused any sort of refund and also ridiculed for being upset. TRUST me, use any other business besides Clover.

Nothing. I haven’t been able to use the product in the 2.5 months of owning it.

I love that it is user friendly, the applications that can be added to it are great, and the POS works perfectly for us! It is always very easy to use and we are thrilled that we got it when we did.
Inconvénients
The only real complaint I have about clover is the support team. I have been on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time while I am unable to accept payment. Granted, this has only happened a few times, but it is inconvenient when it does happen.

Good for small businesses, too complicated for larger establishments
For a small business, it got the job done. It was a clean POS that was easy to navigate, however I don't see it being a viable option for say a restaurant with hundreds of food offerings.
Avantages
Clover was easy to use for the novice user, as you could have pictures associated with each product to make it easy to navigate. The platform was very straightforward and there was little opportunity to make mistakes, thus a vital resource for any business needing a portable POS.
Inconvénients
Keeping in mind this was a while ago and changes could have been made since, but we noticed once we expanded the menu options on Clover to include our entire set of offerings, the app began to experience issues with too many options. Sometimes it would freeze, other times certain products couldn't be selected. It was certainly iffy at times.

Beyond Frustration
I changed banks and want to change new bank account information on my Clover account so that Chase will accept payments. Two hours of going in circles led to nowhere. I asked to speak with a manager and perhaps do a screen share. Deaf ears. I was told that the 'manager' will tell me the same thing. Finally she said what I needed from her will take several hours for her to accomplish. We ended the call, with the knowledge that I probably have to change companies.
Avantages
The sales person from more than a year ago was wonderful and flexible. It was because of him that I chose Clover.
Inconvénients
Their outsourced and non US based support centers for the most part were difficult to work with AND extremely difficult to understand. While English is not their native language, knowing they have to offer support and guidance to those of us who are most miss the mark entirely.

I like that it allows me to earn points from local businesses. It helps that I can get free things the next time I order from them.
Inconvénients
Sometimes I forget to mention it to the staff when I go into places to eat. Unfortunately, then I cannot use the points. If there was a way for us to sign-in when we get there that way we already have the choice to use our points.

Quick and easy payment processing for small businesses
I have had an overall positive experience with Clover. It is incredibly easy to train staff on using the system. When calling their customer support they have been able to efficiently help solve our problem.
Avantages
The credit card reader devices themselves look great aesthetically, very clean looking to have stationed out on a public facing area. After payment is processed you sign on the screen which is quick and easy for both the customer and office. We are also able to accept Apple Pay through it which everyone likes. The handheld device option makes processing payments in other areas of the office fast and easy. Very easy to set up as well for someone with limited technology experience.
Inconvénients
Occasionally the tablets will not work and need system rebooting. A hard reset usually takes care of this for us. It would also be great if you could control the receipt print out instead of all or nothing as some people want them and some do not.

It was here when I started. Was ok but now nearly not functional
Inconvénients
Bad interference that changes with updates and hides needed functions. Completely different look that makes it hard to use.

Great modern POS system for independent businesses
They installed and set up our Clover devices for us and ensured we understood how to use the device. We rarely run into issues using our Clover systems, and the only issues are internet based and require us to simply check our network connectivity. We are very happy with Clover and would not consider switching.
Avantages
Clover has a very clean and user-friendly design. It took some getting used to when implementing our Cafe POS system and the use of tabs, but it has become very simple after the initial learning curve. Our sports facility has an easy time selling skating time, skate rentals, and some small retail items using this device. It is easy to refund and add discounts as an admin, and easy to set user privileges. The reports are helpful for bookkeeping and understanding how many attendees we have for a skating session or the number of skate rentals sold.
Inconvénients
Utilizing Clover with a cafe was tricky to navigate initially. The tab system was not the easiest to implement, but we have grown more used to it with time.

Unreliable and horrible customer support
Unreliable. Frustrating. Worst customer service if any product I’ve ever owned.
Avantages
Organization of items within inventory and reporting/closeout
Inconvénients
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. System is unreliable as they always have intermittent server issues. Offline frequently when everything else (jukebox. AMI. TVs. Internet electronic dartboards) are just fine

Great for store locations
It was OK but there are better systems out on the market
Avantages
It is a great system for a store location. It allows for tipping without our employees having to ask the customer if they wish to leave a tip.
Inconvénients
I found it really difficult to use outside of our store location. We do specialty shows where we sell merchandise and if we didn't have a wifi connection a lot of times we could not get the payment to go through.

I use this product as an Accountant
Avantages
My client uses this product for their POS and they really like it. I use it to pull reports for their accounting and it is simple to use.
Inconvénients
I don't like that you can only view 3 months of transactions at a time.

Clover is the best in the market!
We have been using clover the entire time I've been with the company and it works great. It's super convenient and makes checking out customers fast and easy!
Avantages
The new handheld device makes processing payments fast and easy. The device can be moved to each desk and throughout the dealership and take it to the customer for convenient invoicing. The customer can sign directly on the screen or we can hand the device to the customer to securely and privately enter their passcode.
Inconvénients
The only thing I would like to change is that the signature print out on the receipt! I think adding that would be a great option.

Easy to learn
Pretty happy with the system. Though I wish I could change banks with my current system.
Avantages
Coming from old technology and little tech skills, I was able to learn the basics pretty quickly. I continue to learn new things when I have time to play with the system.
Inconvénients
It is hard to go through all the loops to get to support.
