LIARS and Thieves....
Horrible.. they lied to us and are still charging me for a service I do not use. Splitting up with Clover is worst then a divoirce. They will lure you with the promise of cheap rates, give you convulted pricing with add on fees. And ghost you as you try to cancel the service. They steal about 32 dollars from use each month, and we have exhuasted options to cancel the services. I hope by leaving this review I save others from making the same mistake.

Nothing that you could not get with square... reconcillation is a head ache.. and acess to data is poorly laid out.
Inconvénients
No Custmer Service, as it is outsourced to south east asia. We are still trying to cancelling our sevice even after 6 months. Constantly told they are working on it and will call us back, but you will never receive a call back. You just get ghosted. They low rates are deceiving since the tack on add on fees and the rates are varied depending on CC. They will quote you the cheapest rate for the low grade Credit Card to suck you in. We went back to Square, since they are upfront and transparent about all their fees.

Slick look, easy to setup and use, clover mini
Inconvénients
Reporting is substandard. Reports for a period of 3 months or more can take several days to get! Poor customer service. Clover Support staff could use more training.

You are locked in even after already paying 3 times what the machine is worth and paying a big lump sum none of that matters, there is no dealing with this company.

Two thumbs up for Clover
I have very much enjoyed learning to use the Clover products. I would recommend these products for anyone.
Avantages
Clover payment processing software is very easy to use. Our school takes payments daily with the desktop CloverMini, the easily portable CloverFlex and CloverGo. It is very easy to print out a combined report with the total that will be deposited, yet showing who ran the individual payments. You can also add notes to your transactions and email right from every machine. Super helpful!
Inconvénients
Setting permissions for each person that uses the machines has been a challenge. There doesn't seem to be a manual for the set up, however, our CC service team is amazing and very knowledgeable. The only other thing that bothers me is that you can not void a transaction. Even if you void a transaction immediately, it still goes through and then refunds a day later.

no problem with software, the machine itself is troublesome. Have replaced machine each year we have had it. Heating to print paper goes out. Very expensive to replace and a GREAT hassle to get customer service to reply and actually request machine to be replaced

We had a Mini Clover and it was great!
The Mini Clover helped me do my job more efficiently allowing me to spend my time concentrating on other tasks that needed to be done. I do not have any complaints about this software and would recommend it to anyone that does credit card processing.
Avantages
The Mini Clover was very user friendly and processed our credit card transactions fast and efficiently.
Inconvénients
There was not one thing that I did not like about the Mini Clover. I loved the product and would use it again without question!

No accountability
Avantages
No issues until EBT/SNAP benefits were attempted to activate.
Inconvénients
No accountability when there is a problem. Spent 11 days attempting to get EBT/SNAP benefits loaded on our POS, calling tech support daily. Tech support is outsourced to foreign countries, FYI. I asked for their location each time and the closest was Jamaica. On the 11th day, Clover shut down my ability to process any debit/credit card at 11:00, my busiest hour as they were working on the "back end" of the system to accept EBT. System was shut down for 43 minutes as I called customer service yet again. I had no other recourse but to give away all of the orders for free, if our customers did not have cash. As a small business owner, one's reputation is critical. Clover attempted to assassinate our character. We are meeting with other POS suppliers today.

A bit pricey but an excellent POS system
Used Clover for seven years. Switched to MYR system when our lease ran out. Wish I had stayed with Clover.

Not Fit to Handle Hospitality Industry
Pros: inexpensive, intuitive, malleable
Cons: wrong fit for hospitality, horrible support, horrible crisis management
Avantages
Easy to set up, easy to train, while it has many lacking elements that would be essential to any other hospitality POS there are easy work arounds. Handheld devices are good.
Inconvénients
The entire support and technical team is unfit to handle the hospitality industry. They are completely unaware and seemingly unconcerned about the issues that your staff on the floor must tackle with their system. It's painfully obvious a roomful of engineers comes up with forced changes that adversely effect their entire client base without an ounce of understanding the impact of the changes they make. I and others I know that use clover have said many times, if any of them had worked on the floor for 5 minutes they would understand.

Avantages
Clover is really useful especially for small businesses since most of payments done by bank cards nowadays. Also, the devices are really convenient and there are several sizes as well.
Inconvénients
I really hate to see that clover device is suddenly offline. That is really uncomfortable especially if you are about to get payment. I need to restart the device while customer is waiting next to me and this process takes around 5 mins.

Clover simplified payment processing for us with easy to use devices and flexible reporting options.
Avantages
Our overall experience has been great. The Clover portal is simple to set up and devices are easy to configure. Clover devices are wireless and easy for staff to use, with good user level security and flexible reporting options. We have had no issues with the devices or the service since going live.
Inconvénients
If there is any WiFi interferance the devices can disconnect from the internet and prevent payment processing, this is not a Clover issue though.

Overpriced, poor customer service
I wouldn't recommend Clover to any business owner. We tested it out for about a month and are not able to access reports that we need - they disappeared with no notice - and the customer service is horrific. They just keep sending me links to their website, but not helping get the reports. And they are really rude. The reason we decided against Clover is because every little thing you need as a business owner is additional money - to get it to talk to any of your accounting software, to have a mailing list, etc.- and it just doesn't do what you need. You can't have tax included in your price, only add on to it. You can't give a 100% discount on a ticket without it charging tax on the original cost (who charges tax on $0.00?). The iPhone app to see reporting for what's happening when you're away from your business is incredibly clunky. Overall it's a terrible user experience. There are loads of better options out there.

Honestly, we really didn't like anything about Clover from the start - we hoped we would get used to it + like it, but it's pretty terrible.
Inconvénients
Inability to include tax with the price, poor UX on the mobile dashboard app, terrible customer service, third-party apps to connect to accounting software are expensive and don't always deliver, high price for low value.

Clover is Cumbersome and You Need Third Party Paid Apps to do Basic Functionality
Want to have a seamless point of sale software and this was not it. The approval process was difficult and extensive just to find out they are out of stock of their hardware so I am charged the manual entry rate versus the keyed in rate even thought they are out of stock of Clover Go until and undetermined time.
Avantages
I like the Clover Gos swipe and cost per transaction option but it is out of stock for months. I like the dashboard.
Inconvénients
Wanted to import products from another system and tried to match the template provided by Clover to import and never got it in. Plus size of file is limited to 10MB which for the effort I could have keyed in the few items quickly to get to the file limit size. Customer support was painful to interact with and not helpful.

Easy to Use and Competitive Rates
Overall, the product is simple enough to use that I am not worried about any of our contracted therapists messing up the process and avoiding taking payments.
Avantages
What I like most about Clover is that it can be downloaded on any smart device as app and has an easy to use card chip reader. Our agency wanted a chip reader for extra customer security and Clover offered that option.
Inconvénients
I like least about the software is that is does not capture customer information as simple as their first and last name, but simply has a text box for a description. Our agency uses the device for customer copays for therapy appointments and in the text box I am forced to put the customers last name in order to reconcile payments later.

Great POS for smaller businesses
Overall, I am happy with my experience with Clover. It has helped me manage my inventory, visualize my top and bottom sellers and identify peak hours for business. I recommend to any small retailer who needs an easy POS setup and inventory management solution.
Avantages
The Clover POS is intuitive to use, easy to manage user accounts/ access for employees and very easy to add new items to inventory. The analytics available also aren’t too shabby.
Inconvénients
I don’t like having the experience I have when dealing with Clover support but fortunately the need to do so is rare.

Clover POS for Garden Center
I have been able to reduce time spent integrating sales with quickbooks. I have been able to reduce time spent on payroll. By automating processes through Clover, I am running more efficiently.
Avantages
I love the ease of use, especially for training employees of diverse age ranges and abilities. Point-of-sale is faster, the addition of gift card and customer loyalty apps are easily integrated and increase customer satisfaction, and any issues that come up are easily managed.
Inconvénients
The inventory app is good, but not great. My inventory is broken into some unusual categories and I haven't been able to find a good work around. For example, bulk mulch is sold by color in full and half yards, but I haven't found a way to reduce the inventory accordingly.

Clover is a terrible company to work with. I chose them because of the hardware design. Had I known that there would be ZERo support and ZERO customer service I would not have chosen them. They answer the phone, but there is ZERO service or support. They do not help at all

Everything, from the pos system, to actual payment to self built system was completely useless. Mad headache with customer service took forever to reach. No help in solving issues, all employees are really dumb and don’t know a single thing. Have to get the manager level which they couldn’t even give a call back. We are trying to cancel this ugly pos system. They are giving us the run around to cancel. Did a cancel last week, then end of the month they charged us again. I called back and told me they never cancelled it. How dumb can you really get? Really I would advise everyone to stay away. There customers service couldn’t even speak English, they have heavy accent of Indian or some 3rd world people. So sad how business is allowed to run. I will be posting all over bb, Facebook, instagram, twitter. So no one else gets the waste of time

Best cost efficient choice
We have been very happy with Clover. Lower processing fees and a great product.

Love the pricing, very competitive and affordable. Love all the features and ease of use. Love the website dashboard, easy to navigate. Very easy to get the staff trained and up and running. Mobile, can take outside if needed.

The nightmare reviews scared us away. For good reason.
Getting this system set up and on board was a nightmare. Many of the features we were promised were add ons and were going to cost more. We canceled before we even started and they are still billing us over $1200. We have called many times to get fees removed as we canceled within the grace period and are still on a run around with them. The

The system appeared easy to use. The software was available to "high risk" businesses.
Inconvénients
Tons of hidden fees. Many of the features you think are included are add ons. Set up took forever. Costumer service was sloppy and inadequate.

Reporting inconsistent, support is minimal, labor scheduling is good.
Avantages
Homebase app is excellent for labor scheduling. Homebase allows us to add new employees, build their roles and add availability for each employee. Then when our schedule is completed, we can text out each employees individual schedules to their cell phones.
Inconvénients
Downtime is frequent, support is minimal, reporting is inconsistent. Clover is a young and sleek POS, but their hardware is run on wifi and can continuously crash or fail to process tickets from the tablets. I understand that turning tables is faster in theory with electronic cloud based technology, but when a server must stand in front of a table and have difficulty modifying the order because of so many screens to touch through and new screens to load (and buffering is an issue at times), the 'speed' is lost. In addition to hardware issues (printer dying in the middle of dinner rush), the reporting is confusing and not helpful. Where is the daily sales summary? We pay our servers' credit card tips out through net cash sales and there is no way to track this in Clover. We use QuickBooks Online for accounting, and to "reduce data entry" QuickBooks works with Clover through a third party app called CommerceSync, another inconsistent tool. All in all, if you have a problem with anything listed above, and you call for support, you will be greeted with suggestions of other third party apps to buy to fix the problems.. these are not solutions, they are just ways for Clover to make more money.

Wonderful POS System That Customers Love
Avantages
Clover is a game-changing POS system for so many small businesses. It makes it super easy for my restaurant staff and customers. We love the system because of all the features and applications. It easily integrates with our loyalty rewards system, inventory system, and gift card system. Another great feature by clover is the tipping process. It makes a customer think about tipping in a different way than traditional non-digital systems.
Inconvénients
The maintenance and upkeep of the system are tough as you must continually clean the screens. Also, the systems sometimes freeze on a transaction and require a complete reboot. Overall the benefits outweigh the issues.

Nice System
Love that this machine can give clients peace of mind, as they can process their own payments- from inserting their card and entering their pin numbers, to choosing how they would like to receive their receipts. Also love that it is easy to train new staff members on how to process payments and do end of the day reporting. Overall great experience!
Avantages
Easy to use/learn. Very easy to read- apps , wording and numbers are a great size even for older clients who are using the machine. Reporting at the end of the day is simple to retrieve and review. Customer service is great!
Inconvénients
Check processing can be a little tricky with having to hold the checks over the top of the machine to take the picture, but otherwise it is great.

Not Recommended For Restaurant Operations Regardless How Small
The simple and very common "custom item" or "open food" item commonly used in the restaurant industry and CLOVERS lack of ability to attach a printer to such has ruined what otherwise would be a useful and easy system.
Avantages
the ease of using but the simplest item below has ruined the experience.

CLOVER Dining comes with button "Custom Item" . CLOVER is incapable of sending this item to the kitchen printer. After 4 calls to CLOVER and 2 dropped calls and no return call (even though they ask you prior to any conversation for a call back #), their only suggestion is to create an "inventory item" and attach the "Kitchen Label", HOWEVER, that does not give you the flexibility or customization of price and name. One would think if they have an option "Custom Item" that is flexible to price and label and prints in detail on the 'receipt" they would also be able to attach the "kitchen label" so the items prints in the kitchen.

Clover for small nonprofit
I think this is a great starter for nonprofits wanting to receive donations. They send thank you notes and constant reminders to the organization and donor. Easy to set up for donors. Allows for automatic bank transfers. Overall I recommend this tool.
Avantages
Clover is really easy to use. It is a basic simple program that can help any organization collect payments or donations. Customer Service was not always easy to get a hold of, but when I did they were helpful. They have recently updated their program, which has a cool new feature that lets you send donations to different bank accounts. This is super helpful for designated donations.
Inconvénients
It is simple and does not have a lot of special features. No custom questions on the donation page.

Ripe Off
Awful. We were tricked to leasing a new machine that we never used due to Covid and now they want us to pay all of the fees over again to reinstate the account $199 plus $150. If you are considering this company run the other way. Try Square instead.

We never got an opportunity to use the equipment; Service was cancelled and now they want us to pay an extra $199 plus $150 to reactivate the account that we never used and was tricked into getting in the very beginning.

Very expensive fees and a ripe off. Too many expensive fees.

No support, at all.
Terrible. 25% of the time iy works great....but the 75% it runs terribly. And if I choose to call them about a problem, I will be on the phone for a hour or longer, every time!

It looks modern, but it doesn't function like they said it will.
Inconvénients
Deleting whole orders. Combining tables without approval. Running credit cards for the whole order, it chooses to run for half or some random total...but not what it says! Beyond frustrated with this pos.

One of the Better Deal Apps
In conclusion, ease of use and navigation not an issue. It isn't the most decorative in aesthetics but simple is good. I can't wait to see what other places near me joins the rank of discounts and to build a relationship with their local customers through it as I have through some of mine.
Avantages
Although there do not seem to be a whole lot of businesses that use this App (compared to others, in a rather urban area), it does have growing promise. It either seems that this among two other apps are namely used by businesses here in and around Atlanta.
For what it is worth though, it is rather easy to navigate as a User and I like how well it keeps up with data and my purchases. Usage has never really been a problem.
I really enjoy the feature where a simple ''like/dislike'' display can be left for the Manager. I've been told that is something that is in fact received, so a great way to have voices of patrons or concerns heard in a discreet way. Nice feature!
Inconvénients
Although very rare, scanning has been an issue, but I haven't had this issue in a long time and it may have even been the network at fault. Other than just looking forward for more business to grow from it, I have nothing really that I don't like about this app.

Clover is awesome if you find a reputable processor
Over all Clover is fine. However, we were paired with a credit card processor that was totally separate from Clover that was deceptive and difficult to deal with.
Avantages
It is easy to learn and manage. Portable.

After using it for a couple of years, it began freezing up a lot. Support said we accumulated a lot of data.

It’s my favorite little machine
I used to have the station one and the battery on it died so quickly and even if it had 75% it would shut down and take 2 hours to restart. Clover = losing sales for me.
Then I got the flex one and it’s amazing. So tiny and powerful. Beautiful easy experience.
Avantages
I love and and so as my customers.
It’s fun and functional. It accepts Apple Pay, and tells you the reason why cards decline, it give you options to view past sales, transactions, reports, refunds, etc.
Inconvénients
The option that I would add is a search for a last 4 digits. Sometimes I have to look up a customer and have to scroll and scroll and scroll to find him.
Another issue is with their station models as they need maintenance - your battery will drain and you will lose internet connection.

So much easier than any other merchant Credit card machines

The all in one devices are easy to use. Especially the wifi hand helds make doing business much more efficient.
Inconvénients
I bought a few extra devices when business was strong, but now that business is slow, I wanted to sell a few of the units. Turns out, you cannot transfer devices. I lost money that I invested.

Been with Clover since Beta
Avantages
I love Clover!!! Been with them since Beta and they have improved so much. Their app store has so many great tools. I have 4 locations and will continue to use Clover as I continue to grow pass 8 location.
Inconvénients
NONE. lol really they have all solutions through their app market and they continue to improve.

Easy To Use
This has done well in the capacity that it is used for within our company, and the integrations are helpful when they work properly.
Avantages
We use this product for credit card processing at 2 locations and it works very well and is very easy to use and follow. It also integrates with our gift cards and timeclock.
Inconvénients
At times it is difficult to navigate between the timeclock and the card processor. There have been many times that I have received a notification that I have clocked in, but then when I go to clock out, it does not show the initial clock in.

Very Very Disappointed!!! My Real Experience with Clover
I have only been with clover for less than 2 months and I have been charged severally for services I don't have and non of their agents can explain. I have been double-charged and it is very frustrating especially when I call and not a single person can tell me what I am being charged for. No supervisor to talk to and they just keep transferring from one agent to the other who just want to keep verifying me. I am beginning to think I'm being scammed. I am so sad and frustrated that I chose to go with Clover!
Avantages
Nothing, the customer service, sales, technical and billing department make everything not worth it. Overbilling, bogus billing that cannot be explained by their staff. They even pretend not to have my bill in front of them.
Inconvénients
Bogus billing, unexplained billing. It is very frustrating because there is no knowledgeable customer support. They all act like they are confused and also tell me their system is down. I was even told that 3rd parties are billing me and they cannot speak to it, even though my bank statement clearly shows that the payment was taken by DS Clover.

Clover is the worst company I have ever deal with
Customer service will lie and tell you whatever you want to hear and then say it will be fix in 7 days. Well I'm calling you every 7 days

As a payment system its ok.
Overall, I feel like experience was like its a business that's trying to rip me off all the time.
Avantages
Its fairly easy to set up and manage. That is it.
Inconvénients
High commissions. All kinds of payments that sales person did not inform about. Call center is quick only if its about problems with work. I closed down my business and have been trying to close down my account and ooh boy it takes rings of hell to get it done. Three phone calls, waiting for hours, because "escalations officers are currently busy".

Much Much more than a credit card processor
This machine processes all cards. You can set up apple pay and tap to pay very easily. It has helped us streamline our checkout process.
Avantages
The clover has more features like time clock, inventory, calculators and so so much more than your standard credit card processor. This system can run your whole business. It is easy to use much like an apple tablet and you are able to customize your apps to fit your business. And trust me there is an app for almost every thing you would need.
Inconvénients
I like everything but I do feel like we are under utilizing a lot of its features. Maybe some online training for for our staff would be a good idea

This is a great product
Overall this has been an excellent product for us. Really easy to set-up in the office, easy for all technicians to use the Clover Go in the field and I use the website every day to complete invoicing.
Avantages
Clover is easy to set up. It is easy to set up users. The technicians in the field have found it very easy to use.
Inconvénients
The only thing I don't like is when an employee is "deactivated" they will show up in reports, but there is no place that I can find to see them. This I found out when we re-hired someone and I had to create a new profile for them.

Easy to use
I like thier hardware and software but they could improve with their customer service...being quicker and easier to contact.
Avantages
I like that it is always reliable. In 2 years I haven't had any issues of errors either with the software or the machine itself.

It is hard to contact customer service in the rare event that you need them

It works well for us.
We can easily process in person and phone payments. We can check transactions remotely using the website. The step by step touch screen makes it very user friendly for all staff members.
Avantages
The touchscreen is user friendly. Customer support is fairly good. Able to use even when the internet is down.
Inconvénients
Minor glitches from time to time with adding tips after a debit card purchase.

Love it
Avantages
We just love love love clover. It's the best payment processing tool out there. We use clover for all our payment processing. However, it's much more than that. It practically can automate your entire workplace starting from attendance management to customer tracking to inventory management, to product tracking to sales management and what not.
Inconvénients
Nothing can compete with Clover today. It's the best it can get.

Clover for small business payment processing
Highly recommended as an alternative to Square for business on the go!
Avantages
My business switched to Clover Go for payment processing after Square kicked us to the curb because they decided, with no warning or notice, that they would not let certain law practices use the service. We had to scramble and locate a new program for payment processing needs. Clover stepped up and we have used them ever since. We can take all forms of credit card payments using Clover. Their rates are reasonable and the funds are posted within a couple of days. We are very pleased!

We love Clover and have nothing bad to say about it.

Great for easy and efficient payments
Almost no training required.
Avantages
Makes patients making payments ease and super user friendly. Takes also no time to train someone.
Inconvénients
On set up we included another location so we have to cross out the info for our other location from site #2. Outside of that makes our lives easier.

clover mini is great, highly recommend, had 2 years plus
i enter the sale amount manually, customer taps, done.. print and/or text is optional..
i have 2 minis paired together, one facing staff, the other faces customer..

clover mini, didnt get/want any software.. no subscription / simple.. credit card processing only.. love it.. website dosnt really explain how simple and easy this can be.. had 2 years approx.., would get the exact same thing again.. approx 1 million a year goes through it..

Excellent POS System for any business!
Overall it is a great pos system!
Avantages
When we change to clover, we thought it was going to be difficult for us to learn how to use it. We were wrong it, was really easy to use and install. One of the things I love about it is, that I can add products remotely on the inventory. I can also verify the transaction remotely from my pc or my phone. The customer support is great, they immediately call back when you contact them for any problem you have with the machine, transactions, or any question you have. You can also add more features to your pos because they have a app store, which let's you add online orders, id verification, etc.
Inconvénients
Our business is a grocery store and restaurant, so we have the ebt program for the grocery store. It would be great if the clover machine with detect which items are ebt and which aren't ebt elegible. That way we wouldn't have to do 2 different transactions, because it does take more time for cashiers to charge what the customer is buying.

Wonderful experience
Overall, I love this pr io duct, it streamlines my job and takes the hassle out of bill pay for the majority of my patrons
Avantages
It's the best system I've worked with in my long career as a waitress/bartender. It cuts a lot of drawer count errors and bill split errors completely out of the picture.
Inconvénients
Like any software there are glitches, I like the inventory management the least but again that could very well could be more an administrative error.
