Simply transfer your files under secure environment
I use Progress MOVEit in my both professional and personal space because of its reliablility, security, simple to use, and safety features. It helps me in trust-building with my customers, they were relax that their sensitive data like KYC documents transmits under secure environment.
Avantages
Progress MOVEit is highly secure, so we can share sensitive business data. The deployment of the application is very simple and highly user-friendly. The mobile version supports in both android and ios platform, which really helps a lot in the handy access of files and transfers.
Inconvénients
Need more installed scripts for the highly safe and secure file transmission. Need to improve the user interface in the mobile version.

Review of MoveIt Automation
The biggest benefit I have seen is the ability to give people control to do their work without having to install a program on their PC. By giving them access to the Web interface it make deployment to users easy.
Avantages
The feature I like the most is the ability to have tasks start other tasks so that you can create processes that require little to no intervention.
Inconvénients
The one thing I do not like is not having the ability to sort files when you browse them using MoveIt. Some times you need to find files for a specific date but because MoveIt sorts by name it make it hard to find files in large file repositories.

MOVEit to keep moving files around all company
Good experience working with a great MFT in the market and the full audit to transfer files.
Avantages
-Very good performance to transfer big files between user
-The cost is accessible versus other software's.
-Full audit to check who transfer and delete files.
-The interface is very light to load a big data about users and folders.
-We can setup a failover service to make maintenances to software.
-We can setup other services like a public share folders and FTP server to upload files.
Inconvénients
-The software doesn't have an application to install over Windows or MAC, others software have a desktop app map the personal folder to PC.

Good start but a little lacking
Avantages
Managed file transfer is something that can be difficult to do an even more difficult to do right. MOVEit is a good start and they offer 80 percent of any features that a company may need. The ability to finely control the flow of documents that are transmitted to us was the best feature.
Inconvénients
They were not able to handle a very high volume of files being transferred. This was a deal breaker for us but they were good otherwise.

Gentle Learning Curve Combined with Effortless Power and Flexibility
I'm not sure there is another piece of enterprise software that ever so swiftly and easily learned to enjoy using!
Avantages
MOVEit is almost ridiculously easy to use. If you know how to use any (s)FTP client, you'll be able to get started really quickly ... and they've thought of virtually everything. There are lots of great little features to help your file transfers go smoothly whatever the situation you're facing.
Inconvénients
There have been a number of high profile security issues that give me pause. Fortunately in my case that turns out to be someone else's problem (we have a separate team that handles security concerns), and I can get on with using the product.

Inconvénients
File Activity Report displays host friendly name not true connection. If Friendlyname is not specific you dont know the true connection that is occuring.

Moveit Software Suite, Decent software
The overall product is decent and I would recommend it to others.
Avantages
I find moveit automation and Transfer provide sufficient easiness to setup and manage.
Inconvénients
The software can sometimes be flakey and need reboots. There is no way to support task rollbacks. One has to copy the task to take a backup. The other option is to copy and restore the whole task config file. But this is time consuming and requires knowledge of the product that general users are unaware of.

Top notch products and company.
A consistent and dependable platform for worldclass managed file transfer.
Avantages
I give Ipswitch and their products the highest marks in all categories. They are very strong and consistent in all area's and are what I like to call "the full meal deal".
Inconvénients
The looming threat that they could go public someday and risk losing that personal touch we have become accomstomed with.

Great product for scheduled tasks!
Avantages
I like the ability to schedule jobs and have them record what is moved in a database where we can see historically what has happened with our customers' import/export tasks. The ability to email on success/failure events and the flexibility of task configuration is great.
Inconvénients
The upgrade process between versions is not as easy as I would like. We encountered multiple problems and had to get professional services to assist. License configuration with regards to PGP encryption has also been problematic and overly complicated, but I hear that has been streamlined for newer customers.

Moveit Solution
Avantages
The best thing about Moveit is it's ease of use and reliability. It is extremely functional and holds up our production environment. It is a vital part of our overall solution and we have not had any issues with it.
Inconvénients
We have had no concerns with Moveit. It integrates easily with Vendor software.

Simplify Your File Transfer Needs
We utilize a hosted SFTP solution, file transfer operations (both internal and external), and monitoring of those file transfer jobs through our MOVEit software collection. It has integrated with our business well and has reduced the time it takes to implement a new job.
Avantages
The software provides an intuitive GUI interface for both administrators and users. It allows an organization to place some of the functionality back in the user's hands and provides and ease for external entities to exchange data and information for organizations.
Inconvénients
There is not much I do not like about the software. Of course, there are cheaper alternatives, however in my experience they do not compare to the ease and customer support provided by the MOVEit platform.

MoveIT makes file move management a breeze
MoveIT reduces the need for scripting and monitoring scheduled tasks across our organization. Logs clearly show file names and times. In addition, the ability to set jobs to move only new files reduces the chance of errors.
Avantages
The ease of use and administration. MoveIt is a one-stop shop for all of our file move management, is easy to maintain and has logging built in when and if needed. In addition, MoveIT allows for custom PowerShell scripting, which expands the possibilities and covers all of our needs.
Inconvénients
When vulnerabilities are found, you have to get security to provide the output to progress support. Most commonly, this is the version of the MySQL connector. But, again, these should be relatively straightforward requests.

MOVEit DMZ Review
Avantages
I like the search functions as well as the ability to scan through users and groups easily. Navigation within the program is relatively easy as well. On the back end the handling on configuration and setup is pretty easy to do as well.
Inconvénients
running custom reports could use some work. It runs out of a sql database so some simple sql query searches through the gui would be a nice feature.

Good product
Once it is set up, it is a solid product. We've been using it for years and have had minimal issues with it.
Avantages
The fact that secure file transfer and secure e-mail is in the same product.
Inconvénients
The support/troubleshooting could be a little better when issues are identified.

MOVEit Just Works
Avantages
MOVEit has been in use at AAA for years and has become a major part of the business. Ease of use has been improved with the current version. Reliability is important and MOVEit is a product we depend on.
Inconvénients
email in Automation not integrated with company email.
Would like to move to the Cloud version but is still cost prohibitive.

Moveit -- Great Option for your Secure FTP Needs
It handles all our secure FTP needs at a reasonable price.
Avantages
The amount of features it offers can handle pretty much and secure file transfer needs. In addition, very affordable.
Inconvénients
Upgrades are not easy especially if you need to migrate to different servers (i.e., migrating from 2008 to 2016 servers)

Super easy to set up and deploy!
Sharing date with outside parties has been the number one use of this software. It has enabled us to secure share information.

Ease of use! Integration to our systems and processes was very simple.

Easy to setup and reliable
I was handed the system as the previous admin left and it was easy to learn on the fly.
Avantages
For the things we use it for, it works flawlessly. Changes are quick and easy. Setting up new new hosts and tasks are a couple of clicks.
Inconvénients
Would like a simpler setup for emailing results of tasks.

Very nice tool
So far the experience has been very positive. We hope that as we continue to transition all of our file transfers to this tool we will continue to have no issues.
